Incredible performer, great flexibility!
Austin was absolutely amazing! We hired him about a month out from the wedding after our previous guitarist cancelled on us. Despite how last-minute it was, he dove in head-first, learning the music we needed him to learn, accommodating our requests, and being flexible with our questions and changes. The music itself was played so beautifully (it brought my now-husband who never cries to tears!!) and perfectly, it felt like we hired him a year out as opposed to only a month. Thank you, Austin, for stepping in when we needed you and helping make our ceremony that much more special!

Amazing Guitarist!
Austin is amazing at the classical guitar! The ambiance he creates is perfect for weddings, or private events to create romance and class. As a guitar enthusiast I'm super impressed by how good his technique is and he can play some really difficult music, but make it sound elegant and easy. Would 100% recommend!

Austin was hands-down the best vendor to work with from start to finish. He was incredibly professional, responsive, and organized, which gave us so much peace of mind throughout the planning process. He took the time to meet with us whenever we needed and offered thoughtful guidance and suggestions for our song selections, which made everything feel personal and would reassure any nervous wedding planning anxieties.
He played for both our ceremony and cocktail hour, and everything went off flawlessly. He got everything ready to go without needing or asking anything of us. We used his microphones and amplifiers, and the sound quality was outstanding. His presence and performance truly elevated the entire atmosphere. I’d hire him ten times over. He’s that special wow factor that helped make our wedding feel truly magical.

Lovely music for our son's wedding
We hired Austin for our son's wedding welcome party at Blooming Hill Farm in the Hudson Valley. His playing is superb, and our guests commented on the lovely atmosphere he created. His repertoire is very impressive. We requested jazz and classical to create the atmosphere we wanted, but he is such an accomplished musician that he can play a stunning variety of genres equally well, including rock and pop. In addition to all of this, he is an incredibly nice person who understood exactly what we wanted, and it was a pleasure to work with him.

Austin made our wedding, truly. Using him for ceremony & cocktail hour brought such a special touch we would not be able to replicate. His song list is huge and covers a lot of ground, he even mentions he’ll learn a specific song for couples if not on his list! Austin was very kind and easy to work with. Austin was recommended to us as a preferred musician of The Garrison and we are so glad we went with him! After checking out his site and listening to him play, I was immediately sold. He is an excellent guitar player. His repertoire of songs is so big that he can play to whatever your preference may be. He was friendly and communicative during the planning phase. Importantly, Austin also provided the microphone and sound setup for our ceremony. The sound during our ceremony was perfect, which can really make or break a ceremony. Amazing for our intimate micro wedding
First off we planned our wedding in about two weeks, and when we originally began we hadn’t thought twice about having music until my husbands mother gave us the suggestion. We are super low key people and were unsure if a musician would fit the vibe, but when we found Austin we knew right away he was the perfect addition to our little elopement / micro wedding. He was so kind and flexible and easy to reach. He made us so comfortable. We got to choose our own set of songs and when they would be played, and let me tell you it made the day even more magical. Hearing Moon River while we read our vows to each other absolutely melted my heart and made me cry even harder than I already was! Thank you l, Austin, for being a part of our day. We had a wonderful experience working with Austin. He is an amazingly talented guitarist who helped make our wedding day everything we envisioned and so much more!
We were planning a small intimate wedding and were looking for a guitarist for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We were very fortunate to find Austin. His reviews were exceptional, so we decided to listen to some of his music samples. We were impressed with his music and set up a meeting with him. He was very personable, provided valuable input and was very flexible with our requests. He played the perfect assortment of music throughout the day, including a song that he learned especially for us and requests from the group. He had a great sense for the vibe in the room and changed things up throughout the night. Everyone had so much fun!

Magical Music
Austin is an absolute gem of a find! He came recommended by another young musician who told us "I know someone who will make your day magic" and Austin delivered! Every communication we had felt like speaking to a friend, someone you would trust with these precious moments. He was so flexible (we kept changing our song choices) and when we finally settled, he played them all SO beautifully! He added heart to our ceremony and soul to our cocktail hour. So talented and accommodating!!
Austin was the absolute best choice that we made for music for our wedding. We needed to quickly put together a micro-wedding when COVID hit, and Austin was willing and able to accommodate our every need. He was so patient when I took forever to respond amidst the chaos of the pandemic, he was willing to work with us on anything we needed, and he always responded to my emails/texts so quickly. I also come from a family of musicians, so I knew they had to be impressed with our wedding music. Great and glad we were able to find him
Austin was incredibly flexible and accommodating in helping us have a fantastic (rather) last minute COVID wedding. My wife and I were trying to limit the number of people at the wedding because of covid concerns so a band was out of the question. Austin really set the mood, playing before and during the ceremony, cocktail hour and during dinner. His acoustic melodies were really fantastic.

Austin was a pleasure to work with! He was very responsive and easily accommodated my special requests on short notice! Even with a pandemic and a power outage during our wedding weekend, he called me to ensure everything would be okay! As the bride, I had many things going on the day of the wedding and I knew I didn't have to worry about him! He was there on time and his music was absolutely beautiful! Just Perfect!
Music is such an important part of our lives and hiring Austin to play for the ceremony and cocktail hour was the perfect decision! He is a talented musician, but also so easy to work with. He is very accommodating - learned Sea of Love for the processional!

Besides being musically talented, Austin brings an air of professionalism and kindness to his business. Months prior to our wedding Austin was meticulous in helping us choose the perfect music for our cocktail hour and wedding ceremony. It was overwhelming for us to decide on the music choices, but Austin worked with us (and had an extensive list which helped tremendously) to make our day feel truly special. He even went out of his way to learn the theme song to Game of Thrones so my wife could make her medieval stride down the aisle! Perfect addition to your day!
Austin was wonderful to work with! I had an odd song request for my ceremony and after I found an arrangement I loved, he was able to get the music and learn the piece in time for the wedding. It was perfect. Also, who doesn’t love live music? Everyone talked about how amazing it was to listen to his beautiful talent. We hired Austin to play the ceremony music for our barn wedding this past September and we were so beyond thrilled. He was FANTASTIC, so flexible, and his music was beautiful. I changed my mind maybe three or four times on the processional songs and he was so accommodating--giving me additional recommendations for songs that would go together and placement. I decided late in the game that I wanted to hear Waste by Phish and Austin found the music and learned the progression in basically a week. It sounded so lovely, I cried while waiting to walk down the aisle. If you're on the fence, don't be.

We got married in May at West Hills Country Club. Austin was fantastic! He played our ceremony and cocktail hour. We had some special requests for our ceremony - my Husband and I are big Zac Brown fans and we asked him to play an acoustic version of "Free" for the bridal party to walk down the aisle and he learned it and played it perfectly. My husband and I were honored to have Austin play at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Before the wedding he took time to review song choices for the ceremony with us and ensure that we were happy with the overall flow of the music. At our request he played a combination of contemporary music and classical Brazilian guitar. The ceremony music was absolutely wonderful, it was romantic (Band of Horses and Chet Atkins) and gave it a very personal feeling. For the cocktail hour he played a lively combination of Brazilian and contemporary stylings that kept the mood light. Multiple guests approached us afterwards to compliment his playing and the atmosphere it added to the venue.
His repertoire is truly impressive and having also taken guitar lessons from Austin I have seen him play everything from traditional wedding music and classical to rock and folk / finger picking. He is a consummate professional and he made our day that much more special!

When planning our wedding we knew we wanted to create a very intimate feel even though we had 200 plus guests that would be attending....that is where Austin came in. We booked him to play guitar during our ceremony and cocktail hour and it was that special touch that we felt would be missing if we didn't have him. He was extremely responsive and so pleasant to deal with leading up to our wedding day. Austin Charnis played the music for our wedding ceremony this past weekend, and he was fantastic! He is a very talented musician, but more important than that, he was just a pleasure to work with. He is true professional and made the whole process easy for me and my wife by communicating directly with the venue and the staff. And then of course, the music was perfect. For our recessional, my wife specifically asked Austin to learn a song that wasn't on his song list ("Mess is mine" - Vance Joy). That song was awesome!

Austin is beyond professional in his demeanor. He arrived early, checked the acoustics all around our wedding venue until he found the right space where everyone can hear what he was playing and his choice of songs for our ceremony was second to none. On a day that is important as my wedding day, Austin had me assured that the music for the ceremony was not a thing that I or my wife (...mostly my wife :) ) would ever have to worry about. Austin is a talented musician and he worked with us to create a unique and very special processional for our wedding ceremony. I wanted my 12- and 10-year-old niece and nephew to accompany Austin on upright bass and cello for one song during the processional. My husband and I are lucky enough to know Austin on a personal level, so we knew for a long time that we wanted Austin to play at our wedding when that time came. Austin is both talented and knowledgable about music and was able to make the perfect selections for cocktail hour. He played many of our favorite songs and took requests from my family members. My guests raved about how talented he was and having live acoustic guitar transformed our backyard wedding into a classy event. I had no idea what an amazing difference live music would make. Austin performed the ceremony music our wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. He was very easy to work with, and even learned specific songs for us. We're so happy to have had him there. A lot of guests even came to us afterwards complimenting the music arrangement.

We were referred to Austin by our wedding band and he was nothing short of amazing. He learned multiple songs for us, and executed them with perfection. Austin was super flexible, responsive, and accommodating. He's an absolute gentleman and I'm very happy and thankful that we chose him for our wedding ceremony. There are so many moving parts to planning a wedding and it gets very stressful, but I didn't worry for one second about him.

Austin played classical guitar during the cocktail hour at my son's Bar Mitzvah. He was FANTASTIC! His music was beautiful - it was such a compliment to our celebration.

We were so happy with Austin! He played guitar during our pre-ceremony/ceremony. I originally wanted him to play during the wedding and the cocktail hour, but I realized there was a conflict between the venue and outside music vendors. His selection of music was excellent. He was very accommodating...the bridesmaids had some makeup issues which caused the wedding to start late, but Austin took care of us. He put everyone at ease with his great musicianship. He was a great addition to our special day.

Beautiful music with feeling
Austin provided the music for our wedding ceremony. He is a great guitarist, as you can clearly tell from his videos, and was incredibly easy to work with. His website with samples was really helpful and his repertoire encompasses a wonderfully broad range of music in different genres. We had some specific requests for the ceremony songs, but gave very general guidance for the prelude/postlude to the ceremony. He worked with us at both levels of specificity - a few short conversations, along with a simple form for music requests, was all that it took to prepare a great performance.
Though I wasn't able to listen to most of the performance (as I was preparing for my entrance with my spouse-to-be), what I heard was beautiful, and we received compliments about the music from our guests. We would definitely recommend Austin for anyone looking to have a talented guitarist play at their wedding!
