My biggest piece of wedding advice to any couple is, hire a band!!! Better yet, hire a GREAT band! Atlas is the very best investment we made! They are talented beyond words and you will not have a wedding guest in their seat the minute they start to play. Not only are they talented but they are so kind, and accommodating. My wedding guests are still talking about how awesome they were! If you are low on a budget, find other areas to cut down on - flowers, decor, guest list! We had 68 guests and it was beyond perfect! BOOK ATLAS! -

I cannot say enough good things about Atlas the Band!
They truly made our wedding reception the absolute best party of our lives. They matched our energy and were so interactive with us and our guests. We had so many guests come up to us throughout the night and at the end of the night to tell us how amazing the band was! They were so fun and played a great mix of oldies and current songs throughout the night.
During their breaks we requested they play a playlist we had premade which John did with no problem.
I highly recommend Atlas the Band if you are looking for a wedding band that will keep your dance floor packed all night and leave your guests saying "that was the best wedding ever!" -

Atlas Band came highly recommended by our venue and we're so glad we followed this advice! The team was very profession and communicative throughout the planning process. At our wedding, they were INCREDIBLE - the quality of music is out of this world and they are amazing performers. Every guest had such a blast dancing all night and those who were watching loved seeing the amazing talent of every performer. We recommend Atlas without hestitation for any wedding or event you're considering them for! -

We could not have asked for a better band – or experience – than Atlas the Band. My husband and I got married in the Syracuse area – we live in the Capital Region, so were unfamiliar with bands or really any vendors in CNY. We learned about Atlas the Band on The Knot and after inquiring quickly received a reply. John, the band manager was incredibly communicative, open to our ideas and truly made the planning experience much easier. John provided us with a list of their public shows and while we were unable to attend any of them, we took a risk and booked them for our wedding based on their YouTube videos.
It’s been a little more a month now and our wedding guests are still raving about the band every time we talk. Their set list was a huge hit, covering songs for all ages which easily explained why the dance floor was packed the entire night. Atlas the Band took our custom ideas for our ceremony and reception music and provided a performance that was better than we could have ever imagined. If you are looking for your wedding band, stop here, you have found them. Thank you Atlas The Band! -

Working with John and Atlas the Band for our wedding was nothing less than a dream. Our reception music was THE decision we spent the most time mulling over, as we had high hopes for what the night would look like … and everyone knows it all comes down to the band.
John and Atlas the Band blew us away at every point in the night - which is a testament to their willingness to go above and beyond for their clients. Leading up to our wedding day, John was incredibly communicative, helpful, and easy to work with - whether it was lending his opinion for best songs to keep the party going, or being willing to talk through our run-of-show in detail, the passion for Atlas’s work shined through at every moment. The night of our wedding, Atlas met our requests with excitement and care - we mixed pre-recorded tracks with live music, combed through Atlas’s playlist on their website to pick our favorite songs, leaned on John & the band to emcee our speeches and first dances, and ended up having Atlas play for an extra 30 minutes because we were having too much fun. In short, Atlas exceeded our wildest expectations.
We could not be happier with our wedding music experience (and have had countless people tell us they’ve never seen a dance floor so packed, and so fun). We can't recommend Atlas Band enough! -

If you are looking for a wedding band I HIGHLY recommend Atlas!! We interviewed many bands and DJs in CNY and after watching Atlas' youtube videos we decided to go with them and it was one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding.
Firstly, John and the whole band were so amazing to work with leading up to and during the wedding. They helped us plan out the flow of events during the reception and made sure the set list matched our vibe. They had a wide range of song types, era, genres they could play and we also were able to play some more modern "DJ'ed music during their breaks so it was a great mix. Working with John leading up to the wedding made us 100% confident that everything would be great.
During the wedding itself, it's really hard to describe how awesome the band was! The whole band is incredibly talented, and they knew exactly what to play to get everyone on the dance floor. The vibe was SO MUCH FUN and everyone was on the dance floor the entire time. They were also super engaging with the crowd, singing with our guests and joining the dance floor at times. We all danced and sang the literally the entire time they were on.
I can genuinely say that having Atlas play was the #1 factor in how fun our wedding was. We had SO many people come up to us during/after the wedding saying it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to (I think in great part thanks to Atlas) and asking where on earth did we find such an amazing band!! Everyone was seriously so blown away by Atlas and could NOT stop talking about how great they were and how fun the dance floor was.
In my opinion, flowers, elaborate decorations, cute favors, etc are NOT what makes a wedding memorable. In a few weeks/months/years no one (bride and groom included) will remember those details BUT they will remember how much fun they had and how they felt. If you're considering a DJ vs a Band vs other ways to allocate your wedding budget, I HIGHLY recommend putting your money toward Atlas if you can get them, because you will be guaranteed to have a fun and memorable wedding! If you're deciding between bands, check out their youtube and reviews, and take it from me as someone who did hours of research every band/DJ in CNY, they really are the best :) -

John was amazing to work with leading up to our wedding. When the band shows up to play, they were a absolutely amazing. They clearly play together often and it shows.

We can't stop talking about how awesome Atlas was at our wedding! They really know how to bring the party and make it a blast. Our guests LOVED the band, and some even want to book them for their own events. A+++ band for sure! -

Atlas played at our Anniversary party in Ithaca and they were amazing. They kept the dance floor packed the whole night and everyone told us what a great band they were. Many people wondered who they were and where they were from because they had never heard such a good band. If you want to have a great party and get everyone out dancing hire Atlas! They were easy to work with, responsive and put together a special melody of songs we requested. We highly recommend Atlas! -

I have had the pleasure of working with ATLAS for years as we are both technically in the wedding business, but I never could appreciate what they "do" until I hired them for my daughter's wedding at the Aurora Inn. We had to postpone the original wedding date due to COVID and John and I stayed in relative contact during that uncertain year. He was so comforting and promised me they would be there no matter what date my daughter chose. Another date we set and the wedding was moving forward. My daughter is very particular and picky, so she had a long list of requests for the band. Music was one of the most important elements of her wedding and ATLAS outdid themselves on every level. My daughter was so happy we hired them.
She wanted to walk down the aisle to September but wanted the "live" version to be played by Atlas's horn section. John was so accommodating to her every wish. The band arrived early, they were dressed very professionally, they checked with us repeatedly during the pre-ceremony preparations, and the processional was incredible. All of our guests were dancing as we walked our daughter down the aisle. The tone for the entire evening was set. Atlas also played during the cocktail hour. It brought so much elegance and energy, even before the reception started. As usual, Atlas delivered an incredible product! My experience with them as a vendor for over 25 years has always been incredible, but playing for my daughter's wedding was extra special. It was a smaller affair, (90 people) but the dance floor was packed the entire night. They updated their playlist, had incredible energy, sounded magnificent, and kept the party going. Our guests did not want the party to stop. ATLAS made it a night to remember. I have always been an advocate for live music as they bring so much more to a party, and ATLAS is that band that takes it to another level. The professionalism, the accommodating service, the quality of sound, (equipment and talented musicians), and the energy of the band is off the charts. If you are looking for a band that brings down the house, this is the band. -

Best Musicians
Atlas will not disappoint if you are looking for a musician group that will make you look great at your event! We had them at our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding and couldn’t have been happier with their talent and the positive responses that came in having them. After hearing Atlas at an event I had to book them for the wedding and was shocked as to how reasonable they were. They had a DJ that was included in between sets too. I am confident they could play at any event and if you like to dance, wear comfortable shoes as they will have you on the dance floor all night! -

Most amazing Band Ever!
Atlas is one of the best bands around! They played in our back yard for our wedding. They are very personal and friendly. After our wedding everyone said it was the best wedding they have ever went to and the band is part of what made it so great. When they play they get right down in the crowd and play. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the band. BUT if you are looking for a band I would highly recommend ATLIS . You won’t regret it! -

Atlas brings the party!!
Atlas is such a freaking blast. They are a band that have been around for years and they truly know how to start a party and keep it going. Their song list is mostly funk/boogie/oldies but they play a fair amount of current and popular songs as well (we preferred typical, older wedding classics to modern things anyway). Their energy is unmatchable and you can tell that they have such an incredible time playing together and love what they do. Every guest who has commented on our wedding has told us how amazing our band was and my coworkers all want to hire them for a company event. People who I’ve never seen dance at other weddings were jamming so hard at ours.
We asked Atlas the week before the wedding if they happened to know a song that my dad and I were dancing to, because we thought it would be great for them to play certain parts of it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t something on their set list… but the day of, they joined in the exact part I had dreamed of and played along to amp up the vibe (mine and my dad’s goal was to get everyone to join in dancing and Atlas understood the assignment!!). It was so fun and perfect. I simultaneously cry and bop along to the music in any cell phone video recordings because they’re just so dang good.
John and the rest of the band were very chill and easy to work with. The only feedback we’d give them is to just lay out a timeline of when the couple should be contacting them or reaching out to plan. We didn’t know what to expect so when the rest of our vendors were contacting us 1-2 months before the wedding, we were worried when we weren’t hearing from Atlas (there were a few times the response time could have been better, but we knew Atlas knew exactly what they were doing, so we weren’t too worried).
Would 100% recommend Atlas to anyone and I so so hope we get to attend another wedding or event that they’re playing at!

Our guests would not and could not leave the dance floor this band played so well. When they took breaks, they played songs we preselected for them like a DJ would so the fun never stopped! We have friends using this band for their wedding too. They left a positive lasting impression on us, on a day we will never forget! -

Atlas was our wedding band in 2015 and I have to say our guests are STILL talking about it. They got people up and dancing right away until the very end of the night.
We were so pleased with their performance - as well as how easy they were to book and work with - that I hired them for an event for work in 2022. People at the event remembered how fun they were at their own weddings and had such a great time, we've booked them for next year's event already!
