    The perfect venue for our wedding

    When we signed our contract for my daughter's wedding, the owners were not finished with all the renovations. I was a little nervous because we only had about six months to complete all our plans. However, I needn't have worried. It is a beautiful place and exactly what our daughter and son-in-law wanted in a venue. Mary and her staff were wonderful to work with. She is extremely knowledgable about planning an event and really helped us with ideas. They worked with us to give our daughter exactly what she wanted. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch. They had their ceremony in the upstairs of the Stardust and it was cozy and intimate. The downstairs held enough seating for over two hundred guests with plenty of room. Katie had some unique ideas on table arrangements, and Mary made it happen! Thank you to all the At The Stardust staff for helping make a perfect day!

    Amazing Experience

    My husband and I were married at the Stardust on November 3rd, 2018. From start to finish, our experience was amazing. Mary and Randy were wonderful to work with. Mary listened to all of our ideas and gave us some of her own that she had learned throughout her years in the wedding planning industry. She made our vision come to life. They were so accommodating to all of our requests, and executed it a with a smile. The day of the event she was a huge help and her calm demeanor made everything run so smoothly and eased everyone’s nerves. We had so many compliments from our guests about how awesome the venue was and how impressed they were with everything. We would highly recommend The Stardust to anyone!

    Very happy with At the Stardust!

    Mary was great to work with! She and her team set everything up well ahead of time for our anniversary party. They allowed us to come the day before to decorate. Everything went smoothly and all our guests loved the place. I would definitely have another event there!

    Would Recommend with Caution

    We loved the venue. The location was great. The inside is beautiful and unique, especially once decorated to your vision. The bar in the back and the garage style doors (that provide great natural light during the day) add lots of character! Overall, I loved this venue.

    While the venue manager is quick to respond and accommodating, it comes with a price-- either financially or mentally. Get things in writing, because sometimes, she claims different prices different times you talk to her. Additionally, her professionalism left much to be desired. She often complained about other clients or never having a day off.

    If you are strong-willed or hired a professional planner as an intermediate, At the Stardust is a great choice! Otherwise, it may cause unnecessary stress.

    Huge Disappointment

    Stardust is the second venue we looked at. The moment we saw it, we fell in love. When we met with Mary, we could tell she was stern, but passionate about her clients and what she did. We had several meetings before the wedding, mostly talking about our other vendors, our bar menu, and the layout of the tables. When the wedding got closer, Mary became harder to work with. We were still working out our final plans with our designer. Every time we wanted to change something, Mary came up with a reason why it wouldn’t work. It is her venue, so we wanted to be respectful. The day before rehearsal, I called Mary to give her some final updates. Everything was going smoothly. Then, we arrived at Stardust for the rehearsal. I realized that I forgot to tell Mary we had changed the color of the linens from ivory to black (which she had both on hand). I apologized profusely and admitted that it was my fault and told her we would pay for everything. She told me it was my fault and she was disappointed since we had talked the night before. She made me feel terrible to the point where I ran out crying. My mom and aunt figured it out and Mary did end up changing them. Then, there was the issue of our ceremony backdrop. I wanted to put black tulle on a branch they had ready in the ceremony area. We wanted to get it ready the night before, but Mary refused to let us do it ourselves. Needless to say, it looked terrible. Which brings us to the day of the ceremony. The first problem was that my cake designer couldn’t get into the building. Then, my florist showed up and Mary told them to leave until 3, with the ceremony starting at 3:30. I literally didn’t get my bouquet until I was walking upstairs. Then, about 30 minutes before we were packing up and leaving, my husband went to the bar to take care of the last minute bills. The amount they wanted us to pay was 3 times more than we were originally told. My husband was obviously very distraught. Instead of taking his ID and having us come back the next day, Mary’s daughter and the bartenders stood there and argued with him. They made my husband cry. He was so scared he messed the wedding up. The worst part? Mary wasn’t even there to explain things to us. My mom and aunt ended up having us leave and taking over. At least 3 of my vendors told me they would never work with Mary again. If anyone asked me about it, I would tell them to steer clear.

    As for the backdrop. we just raised the pullies, we did not attach to the branch.
