  We had a small floral budget at our wedding and had a really hard time finding anyone who would give us the time of day for an order under $1500 (or $3k with some vendors, yikes). We were interested in having bouquets made and making diy bud vases for the tables. A friend recommended that we look into Aster B. since they have an option to buy their fresh flowers by the bucket. Melissa was wonderful from our first email on. Unfortunately, she had to be out of town on the weekend of our wedding, but set me up with the most amazing florist, Jemma Tory, who used the farm's flowers for our bouquets. The bucket and bouquet option is very affordable, and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. Keep in mind that all of their flowers are grown on the farm, so you'll get what is in season at the time of your event. After the epic winter we had in Massachusetts, the growing season was pushed back by a month. We had to play around with some of the specific flowers that would be available (poppies and ranunculus were unfortunately not ready yet), but the peonies popped just in time! I met with Rachel when picking up the buckets, and she was wonderful. All of the flowers were beautifully curated and picked at just the right moment. She told me how to care for everything and how/when to get the peonies to open to perfection and I was on my way. The farm is so scenic and was a welcome time out on a day that was otherwise a tornado of bridal duties. I would definitely recommend Aster B., especially to any adventurous brides who want to diy part of their wedding florals!

  Aster B provided the most gorgeous, lush and tasteful floral arrangements for our wedding. A truely positive experience. Melissa, owner of the company, is a talented and passionate professional who is easy to work with, full of ideas and suggestions. I will definitely be recommending Aster B to friends and family.

  Melissa at Aster B. was the florist for our wedding, which took place in summer 2014 in Boston. She created the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages, and an altar piece. Flowers were grown organically and we got to support a small, local business. They work primarily with annual flowers and use only the flowers that are in season at the time of the event. Prices were competitive with a Boston area florist, even including the delivery fee. We spoke on the phone and then visited the farm/home for a consultation where we walked around the growing beds and saw and smelled many different flowers, as well as talked about our vision for the day. We mentioned some flowers we wanted in certain places and others that we didn’t want (and those preferences were incorporated into the final product) but ultimately Aster B Flowers got the design latitude to “do whatever you think looks good” and it turned out great. On the morning of the wedding, flowers were delivered on time to our urban venue. The flowers were distinctive and beautiful, and happened to have a delightful fine, lacy aesthetic. Aster B Flowers also sells cut flowers and offers flower arranging parties at the farm, but we did not use those services. A great option for weddings and other events in Boston and the North Shore.

  Wow! I was blown away by Aster B. They grow all their own flowers and greens and have such an amazing crop to choose from. With a vision for my bouquets and centerpieces early on, they planted flowers that they thought would look lovely in the arrangements. They could not have picked a better combination of flowers, and greens. They are so fun to work with and are comprised of a dedicated, passionate team.
