a beautiful, delicious dream come true!

Our experience from first email to wedding day was wonderful with Ashley Bakery. The cake flavor and texture were perfect. As a former professional baker myself, I am quite picky with desserts. This was spectacular. The design was even better than we had dreamed! It was exactly what we wanted. Our guests gave rave reviews. I highly recommend Ashley Bakery for your wedding cake.

The Best Bakery in Charleston!

My wife Jillian and I were married in 2013 and Ashley Bakery created an amazing cake; Hummingbird is our personal favorite. So much so that we have ordered our anniversary cake every year to celebrate! Hayden and team are amazing, consistently making beautiful, delicious cakes. We will use no one else and highly recommend them.

Loved our Wedding Cake by Ashley Bakery!

We chose Ashley Bakery for our wedding cake and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Hayden was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process and truly wanted to make sure our cake was perfect—not just in taste, but in how it looked as well. She was always prompt in her responses, and the final result was both stunning and absolutely delicious. Mini desserts

Excellent looking pastries and petite desserts for a wedding. They all tasted wonderful with nothing but great comments from guests.
Hayden was wonderful to work with, especially since we are from out of town.
Complete confidence with this bakery and they did not disappoint.

Wedding Cake

The entire process from arranging a tasting box to the wedding day was very smooth! Our guests are still commenting on how good our cake was, some even saying it was the best wedding cake they’ve had! I gave a very broad description of what I wanted the cake to look like and they more than delivered!

Amazing wedding cake and mini desserts!

We ordered our cake and some mini-desserts from Ashley Bakery for our October 2021 wedding and they were absolutely amazing. We couldn't just decide on one flavor after our tasting so we decided on a 3-tier cake with 1) Italian Cream Cake with Chocolate Mousse filling, 2) Italian Cream Cake with Cream Cheese Buttercream filling and 3) Almond Cake with White Chocolate Mousse and Raspberry filling. We also ordered mini salted caramel chews, mini apple crumb pies, and mini chocolate cups filled with Kahlua mousse that were equally delicious. So happy we chose Ashley Bakery!

Excellent cake and cupcakes!

We ordered our cake and some mini-cupcakes from Ashley Bakery for our November 2021 wedding and they did not disappoint. Our cake was chocolate with chocolate mousse and it was absolutely delicious– not even a little dry. Every guest we ran into after the cake cutting made a point of telling us how good the cake was. We also ordered hummingbird cupcakes and they were equally delicious. So happy we chose Ashley Bakery!

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!

Very established bakery in Charleston! They are so good at what they do! Working with Hayden was a dream from email communication to sharing ideas to a few changes that were not a problem!! We were so happy we chose them given the crazy number of options in Charleston. They have the experience to give you whatever you need! The wedding cake, desserts, and bridal shower cake were beautiful but more importantly, they were just so delicious!! The cake was fresh and moist and the buttercream frosting is the kind you dream about!!!!!!! Totally going to get the 1st anniversary cake from them!!!

The best cake!

Ashley Bakery provided the dessert for our wedding. Hayden was great to work with -- super friendly, responsive, and flexible. The cake turned out great -- looked good and tasted even better! We also got mini-cupcakes which our guests loved, especially the chocolate kahlua flavor. We would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Great wedding cake!

Ashley Bakery made our beautiful 4 tier wedding cake in August 2019. It was so elegant with a delicious buttercream frosting and a sweetgrass design. Each tier of the cake had a different flavor cake making it really enjoyable for many cake tasters at the wedding! In addition to being delicious, it was absolutely beautiful! I am so happy we chose them as our cake designer. It was the perfect cake!

Best. Cake. Ever!

Ashley Bakery was recommended to us by our wedding planner and they did not disappoint! The wedding cake was extremely important to me (probably more than it is to most people). I love to bake and watching the bride & groom cut the cake is my favorite part of the reception. We scheduled an in-person cake tasting which was included with the price of our cake. Hayden was so easy to work with and was able to create the exact design I had envisioned. Not to mention the cake was delicious! I would highly recommend Ashley Bakery! Everything was perfect!

Groomscake + Wedding Cake / Desserts!

We absolutely love Ashley bakery and enjoyed working with Hayden. Ashley Bakery provided our cake and desserts for our wedding on November 9th. When meeting with Hayden, she guided us through options for us and for all of our guests. Since we wanted something for everyone, we chose a small cake and a wide selection of other options - two different flavors of cupcakes, key lime pie (which I typically cannot stand, but loved), pecan pies, cheesecake, and Charleston chew bars. Hayden also did a beautiful job of integrating our palmetto roses on and around our cake, which was a nice touch on the dessert table. They also made the groomscake for the rehearsal dinner - it was both beautiful (surfboards and all) and tasted great. We ate the leftovers for a few days until they were gone :)

Oh the cake!

If you are looking for a wedding cake vendor, look no further. Both my brother and I used Ashley Bakery for our wedding cakes and let me tell you- their cake is amazing... like let’s forget about saving cake for our one year anniversary and eat it the day after the wedding good. Add to that the fact that they regularly support the Healing Farms non for profit group and you really couldn’t find a better group of people to make the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake

I couldn't stop eating...

Ashley Bakery was absolutely wonderful from the cake tasting to the final product. Our cake was beautiful and better than I had imagined! Our guests raved about the cake and went back for seconds and thirds. We would highly recommend the Hummingbird flavor!

It was a last minute order and it was amazing how they helped me and it was so easy and fast. When I went to pick up the cake it was once again easy and fast. Overall my experience with them was stress free and the cake OMG it was so delicious. Thank you so much

Spring Wedding

I may be bias, but I truly believe I had the most beautiful wedding cake. Perhaps more importantly it was incredibly delicious. We had three layers all with different and unique flavors- classic almond wedding cake, marble with chocolate ganache, and lemon with raspberry. Guests so they were dying to try all three ( some even did!) The owner is also very professional and approachable.

Delicious & Beautiful

My daughter was married in November & we tried several different vendors. Ashley Bakery had cakes that were always moist & amazingly delicious. Hayden & Alicia were always so warm & helpful. I honestly believe we tried all the flavors ! We finally decided on: Almond Cake with raspberry filling and vanilla almond buttercream frosting in center, Chocolate Kahlua cake with chocolate mousse filling & Strawberry Sour Cream Pound cake with vanilla almond buttercream filling & White Vanilla Almond Buttercream Frosting. So hard to choose, all were amazing. Thank You for such an amazing experience.

Heavenly Taste & Gorgeous Presentation!!

Ashley Bakery is PHENOMENAL and did such an amazing job with our cake. We tried a lot of different cakes & bakeries in our area and I truly felt like Ashley Bakery just blew everyone out of the water with how moist, delicious, and flavorful their cakes are! Plus they have such a wide range of flavors (all of which are amazing). Also, we had an idea for what we wanted our cake to look like and they went above and beyond and really created something that was not only gorgeous, but also super tasty! We got a lot of compliments on the cake (both on its appearance and taste) and our guests really enjoyed it, and we did too!

Wow, just WOW! This bakery is amazing! They made my wedding cake & my daughter’s, too. Their cakes are moist & delicious. The frosting is so tasty! The cakes turn out gorgeous, as well. (Their cupcakes are just as good, just as moist!)
They were very accommodating with changes to the order & with the delivery time. The florist wanted the cake there ahead of schedule so she could apply the flowers & leave ASAP. The coordinator called Ashley Bakery to see if their delivery time could be moved up. They had everything ready & came out right away, no complaints or questions asked!
For my wedding cake, we froze the top tier & ate it on our first anniversary. It was still delicious! I expect that my daughter & son-in-law will have the same experience.

Hayden at Ashley Bakery was the very best!!! She was wonderful to work with and had great suggestions regarding design, textures, and tastes of the wedding cake. Hayden made the selection of the cake one of the most pleasant experiences. No one could ask for anyone better to help them in making the decision regarding that special cake every bride dreams of. We ultimately chose the almond flavor cake which turned out to be the perfect choice for our bride, groom, and guests...they absolutely loved it!

Ashley Bakery absolutely nailed my wedding cake and desserts! As a person with Celiac disease, thinking about desserts was a struggle. Ashley Bakery made an absolutely scrumptious gluten-free cake for my husband and I, and paired it with mini desserts, pies, and cheesecakes that were gorgeous and delicious (from what everyone told me!) The entire process was perfect -- from the initial quoting, to designing our cake, and delivery operations -- the Ashley team was the perfect dessert vendor from start to finish!

Ashley Bakery is delicious! They did a beautiful job on our cake. The cake tasting was very professional, fun, and delicious. She sketched our cake right in front of us as we described what we wanted. It was perfect. They also can make a separate anniversary tier so the venue can cut up the entire cake at the reception. Our cake was exactly what we wanted and tasted amazing. We had three different flavors (marble, chocolate, and vanilla). They also did a Harry Potter inspired groom's cake and delivered it to my rehearsal dinner venue. He loved it! I will be using Ashley Bakery in the future for other events.

I loved my cake. It was absolutely gorgeous and it tasted even more amazing than it looked. Our consultation and tasting went super well and the cake came out looking exactly like the sketch. We got red velvet with chocolate ganache filling and almond with raspberry filling. Both were absolutely delicious!

Our wedding cake from Ashley Bakery was beautiful and tasted amazing. These two things in combination make Ashley Bakery an excellent choice for your wedding cake. All of our guests commented on how good the cake was- I highly recommend their strawberry poundcake flavor with fresh strawberries (if the season is right). They were easy to work with from the time we set up a tasting, to refining details on the design. We are very happy with our choice of Ashley Bakery and would choose them again!

Ashley Bakery and Hayden are absolute gems!
My now husband and I knew from the first sample we tasted at the bakery that we were going to go with them for our wedding cake. The bakery portfolio was beautiful, Hayden was so sweet and receptive to all of our ideas and every single cake flavor we sampled that day was moist and delicious. There are so many flavors to choose from too. I ended up eating an embarassing amount of the cake samples because they were simply too good. The ordering process was surprisingly easy and I felt that the price of our cake was more than fair. Throughout the wedding planning Hayden was responsive to emails and phone calls and flexible whenever we needed to make changes.
On the day of the wedding Ashley Bakery truly delivered. Our cake was perfect! The gum paste flowers were gorgeous and the cake itself was elegant. We went with hummingbird with cream cheese icing and it was just as delicious as the samples had been. I received many compliments on both the looks and taste of the cake that night. We even had a guest who enjoyed the cake so much she grabbed an extra piece and wolfed it down as all of the guests were being escorted outside for our exit.
Kudos Ashley Bakery and thank you Hayden! I enjoyed your cake so much we might have to eat that top tier before our anniversary and just order a fresh one for the 1 year!

My daughter had her destination wedding in Charleston, Most of the guests were from out of town so we wanted some distinctively Charleston touches to the wedding. Although we originally just wanted a dessert bar, once my daughter saw the "sweetgrass" cake from Ashlay Bakery, we both knew we had to have it. The edible flowers were amazing and the icing in the sweetgrass pattern was so unique. Plus the cake tasted amazing. What a special touch for our Charkeston wedding. Thanks so much Ashley Bakery!

We absolutely loved our wedding cake and are so glad we chose Ashley Bakery. Their cake was the best tasting among the six places we tried and we couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out. Ashley Bakery was amazing! We did cake and mini pies and they were amazing. We hardly had anything left over. My cake was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. We used one of there cake stands which was perfect. They arrived on time and we could not be happier with them!

Ashley Bakery made our groom's cake which we had at our rehearsal dinner and our wedding cake. We went to Ashley Bakery about 5 months before our wedding for the tasting and it was amazing! We didn't leave anything on the plate! We decided to go with almond cake and almond buttercream for the groom's cake and four different flavors for our four tiered wedding cake. Both cakes were delivered to the different venues in Charleston and we had no problems! The wedding cake was absolutely stunning and Ashley Bakery brought our ideas to life. It was exactly what we wanted and I am so thankful!

We worked with Hayden for our wedding cake and desserts and it was wonderful! She was easy to work with and very responsive in all of our communication. She was very flexible when we changed our mind multiple times about the desserts we were going to offer at our wedding. Hayden at Ashley Bakery was fabulous!
My parents, my fiance and I had a wonderful tasting with so many great flavors. We chose strawberry sour cream pound cake and hummingbird. Both were so delicious and couldn't compare to the other tastings we had.
Our wedding cake turned out perfect.
My only regret is that we didn't get to take any of it home at the end of the night, so we only got to share one piece. We are already making plans to order another cake when we come back to Charleston.

Our wedding cake was gorgeous! We had two types of cake - vanilla and hummingbird in two tiers. They were able to design the cake based on pictures we brought and our personalities. The cake tasting was so fun and the cake turned out better than we could have imagined. Beautiful and delicious!

I loved working with Hayden and her crew. The cake tasting was wonderful: they let you try so many flavors and all of them are so good. At the reception, the cake looked lovely (my fiance didn't even know that something had gone wrong with delivery and it needed to go back to the bakery for touch-ups before returning to the reception), and all our guests raved about how delicious the cake was. In particular, I was impressed with Hayden's professionalism: she called to apologize about the cake not looking its best even though we hadn't noticed a difference at all. If you're looking for a great tasting caking with people who really care about making your day special, this is the place to go!

Hayden from Ashley Bakery is amazing! We met with her on one of our visits to Charleston and she immediately understood the look we were going for. We also had the tasting the same day with many different samples! It was absolutely delicious! Through my planner, she sent several mockups of what the cake would look like for us to approve. And on the day of the wedding, the cake was so gorgeous with it's intricate lace fondant and beautiful cake flowers with sparkles in the middle of each flower that a few guests thought it wasn't real!! To top it off, when we cut the cake and we and our guests tasted it, it had to be the best cake we ever had! We are still eating it a few days later. Thanks, Hayden, for making and baking such a beautiful, tasty cake for our special day!!

Ashley Bakery provided the most delicious cake and cupcakes for my wedding! We were so excited about tasting all the different flavors, and all of our guests loved each and every one! I loved that they also offer mini cupcakes so we were able to offer a variety and have something a little smaller for guests who wanted to taste them but not have so much as with a full cupcake. Ashley Bakery creates delicious works of art! They created the most magical grooms cake for my husband. The design paid homage to his fraternity house complete with the ornate gold lions that decorated the front stoop. He was blown away! Our wedding cake was the quintessential southern design complete with sweet grass basket piping and a magnolia gum paste flower. Not to mention how delicious the chocolate kahlua and pumpkin spice tiers were and all of the mini desserts they created to decorate our dessert table. Ashley Bakery has "cake boss" design power with "magnolia bakery (nyc)" flavor!

Ashley Bakery was great. They were quick to respond and very professional. We were from out of state and when our wedding planner forgot to book a consultation with them for a wedding planning trip to the area they worked with us to squeeze us in on our last day in town. The cake was delicious and I mean all the cake. We had such a hard time choosing all our layers because everything tasted so wonderful! We finally settled on a 3 layer cake (sourcream pound cake, red velvet, and hummingbird) which all our guests loved. They were able to work with us when at our consultation it became clear the color scheme for our dream cake wouldn't work in the June heat. (Tip to future brides: apparently fondant sweats and dark colors end up looking gross). They were able to give us a cake that had pops of purple but would still work through the night. I would highly recommend them for any event, and even wish I had another event just so I could get another tasty cake. :)

Our cake was absolutely delicious. My maid of honor and I had a great time at the tasting but it was extremely difficult to pick our flavors because everything was so tasty. I'm counting down the days until 6/28/2015 so we can have another bite on our first anniversary! Ashley Bakery supplied the most realistic vintage suitcase with world globe that I could gave ever imagined. Most guests had no idea it was a cake. It went perfectly with the travel themed wedding rehearsal grooms cake. Not only was it stunning to look at but it was truly the best cake I have tasted. I have been to numerous weddings where the cake was beautiful but dry and not tasty. This was not the case with Ashley Bakery. The number one compliment I got about my wedding was the quality of the dessert table. We did a unique wintery spread with cake tops and baked goodies. They were all amazing!! Found Ashley Baking after the cake baker I had been working with for several months bailed on me. They got better offer that the groom's cake that I needed. Anyway, Susan and Hayden and the cake are perfection. It was the best red velvet cake I've ever had and I have had many!! Hayden took my drawing and made the best "Keg of beer" cake you have ever seen. My son was so surprised - everyone loved the cake. They were so easy to work with and so helpful, I highly recommend Ashley Baking.

Hayden and Susan at Ashley Bakery were amazing to work with. I showed them a picture I found on pinterest and Hayden was able to recreate the cake for me, and it actually looked more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. The cake was pretty and tasted amazing. Susan responded to every email and question I had in timely manner. I would definitely recommend using them. They were friendly, easy going, and the results were fantastic!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious. Ashley Bakery was very responsive for what we wanted our cake to look like.

I found Ashley Bakery through a simple google search, and I'm so lucky that I did! I worked with Susan Campbell who was extremely accommodating considering we planned a destination wedding. One chance we happened to be visiting the groom's family who live in South Carolina and we were able to schedule a last minute cake tasting. When we sat down with Susan for the cake tasting our daughter became sick and we had to rush out, but Susan was on her feet and gave us all the information we needed, pictures of possible cakes, and a box of cake samples to taste on the road. We were able to decide while driving back to Virginia with one sick child, and two others in the back seat, which cake we loved. We chose a Kaluah chocolate, bottom tier with a Carrot Cake top tier with butter cream frosting. In addition to the Wedding Cake, Susan also helped me to surprise my groom with a speciality groom's cake, made in true Miami Dolphin style. Susan stayed in constant contact with me and as able to answer every question I had. The cake tasted amazing! People were hoarding it at the reception! I truly appreciate everything Susan and the staff at Ashley Bakery did for us, and the amazing cake's they made!!

Delicious..heavenly...divine! These were just a few descriptions of how our wedding cake looked and tasted! We couldn't have asked for more and every flavor was scrumptious. I would recommend the Ashley Bakery to anyone and everyone with a sweet tooth. The service was impeccable as well!

Beautiful and delicious! Our guests raved about the look and taste of our cake! I loved the design and the colors were perfect for our theme! They were flexible and open to developing a design that truly fit our style. We were thrilled!

My baker flaked at the last minute and it was Ashley Bakery to the rescue! When they tell you that their red velvet or their butter cream icing are to die for... It is one hundred percent true. My fiancé was in the restaurant business for many years and when he tasted the red velvet, he said that it was the best and most moist he had ever had. That is saying a lot coming from a man who hates sweets. The cake was beautiful, no perfect... I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

DELICIOUS AND GORGEOUS! WoW! They went above and beyond to make our cake perfect. It was designed to look like my dress and it was perfect! Such a pleasure to work with the ladies at Ashley Bakery. They are so talented and they make a mean cake :-)

I can truly say that Ashley Bakery exceeded my expectations for our wedding cake. The design of the cake was gorgeous and the taste...just amazing. Everyone could not stop talking about how delicious the cake was. And now that the wedding is over, I have already ordered another cake from Ashley Bakery since I cannot wait a year to have some more of their delicious cake!

Eileen and Hayden Ferri really deserve all sorts of praise for my wedding and groom's cakes. These women created two cakes that were absolutely gorgeous, and equally as delicious! We had pumpkin spice cake with vanilla butter cream frosting for the wedding cake. The icing was smooth with little dots around the edges of each layer, and topped with gold gilded fruit, nuts, greenery, and red berries. It was so stunning that it actually stopped my husband and me for a second during our introduction. The groom's cake was absolutely decadent. Chocolate cake with rippled chocolate icing, topped with the fruit, nuts, and greenery, and the cake topper I bought as a suprise - a little corgi figurine of my husband's beloved dog. Comments we received: "This is the best cake I've ever had at a wedding!" "Wedding cake isn't usually good. This is DELICIOUS!"

Will absolutely recommend them to EVERYONE in the Charleston area! Amazing quality, presentation, and a reasonable price! CALL THEM!!

Wonderful and extremely creative group! We loved our cake so much, and it was really delicious!! We were able to come in well under budget for our cake, and everyone was able to have some at the wedding!

Highly recommend this provider, they are so nice!

Hands down the most delicious cake we tried all over Charleston! The hummingbird cake is the best cake i've ever had in my life and the outside of the cake was beautiful as well!

Ashley Bakery provided an astounding cake that went well above my expectations! The design was an exact replica of the proposal and the delievery was early, and well-polished! I was very impressed with the fresh, moist taste and vivid flavors! Many of our guests commented on the wonderful taste of the cake!! I would recommend Ashley Bakery to every Charleston bride!!!

Ashley Bakery was extremely professional with handling our order for our wedding ~ it began with a friendly meeting and helpful employee taking us through design after design ever so patiently ~ Once I designed my cake, not realizing my expensive taste, they came back with a quote that was completely out of my budget, just when I thought it was impossible their response was simple...let's see what we can do with your ideas and building a less extravagant cake. Instantly I felt better and knew my vision would come to life. When I walked into our venue the day of our wedding, and saw our cake displayed I was in tears. It was exactly how I imagined it. I already knew it would taste amazing because of the incredible cake tasting they set up for us previously, not too mention the tray they sent home during the holidays so my family in town could sample them as well. Talk about a great business!
