Great Guitarist and DJ

Eric Everett was a delight to have as the Guitarist and DJ at our wedding in Asheville, NC. Not only was his ability to play guitar amazing, he also added a great deal of entertainment to his duties as the DJ. He got right into our theme, adding jokes and songs that played right along with it. I would highly suggest hiring him as your DJ or Guitarist, it was fantastic. The lead up to the event was also seamless and he was readily available whenever we needed him. Thank you for everything!

Great Experience

We had an amazing experience working with Zowie Entertainment for our wedding. From our first conversation, Eric was extremely organized and easy to communicate with. He got every detail right and kept us in the loop the whole way through. Eric, who runs the company, is genuinely nice and made us feel like our wedding mattered to him. On the day of, he delivered outstanding entertainment that kept our guests engaged all night long. The pricing was fair and we felt like we got incredible value for what was provided. We'd recommend Zowie Entertainment to any couple looking for a band or DJ that's professional, personable, and truly cares about making your day special.

A family affair!

Eric has now been part of three family events- my sister-in-laws wedding, my sisters, and now mine! He was BEYOND wonderful to work with, and made our day so special. He even learned one of my favorite songs so that I could walk down the aisle to it. Thank you, Eric, for everything!!!

10/17/21 Zowie entertainment was awesome.

Eric offered karaoke during the cocktail hour. My guests had so much fun. He sent us pictures from it as well. Leading up to the event he was very detailed and attentive. He was always just a phone call away. You'll love hi m too.

Great Fun for a Party

I highly recommend Zowie Entertainment. I purchased a Murder Mysteree package for a virtual post-holiday party for my colleagues at work. It was such a fun time – everybody in our group of 35 people enjoyed it. We are all adapting during these strange pandemic times. The Murder Mysteree game was originally developed for in-person fun, but the owner Eric worked with me to help me adapt the game to a virtual format. I was going to be the game hostess for my event, so Eric (Zowie Entertainment owner) sure that I understood the game inside and out so I would feel comfortable leading the game for our party. Eric was so attentive, communicative, and responsive to all of my questions. And, he seems to be just a really nice guy. I had a wonderful customer experience and I will look to him again for future event planning.

Above and beyond

Our wedding was originally scheduled March 21, 2020 but was postponed the week of due to Covid-19. Eric was very understanding of the situation and agreed to work with us at no additional cost. We were excited to learn he was available for our rescheduled date of December 4, 2020 as well because he had been so great to work with leading up to your original date in March. As the year went on and covid-19 remained a concern for all, our wedding saw many changes as we got to the final weeks leading up to December 4th. The guest count was cut to family and a small bridal party only, the time of the ceremony was moved to a bit earlier and restrictions on group gatherings understandably tightened. My wife and I were concerned about maintaining a fun atmosphere throughout the night with the recent changes. I discussed the concerns with Eric and he was very helpful. He had several suggestions and came prepared with a wide variety of entertainment on our wedding day. Even though a lot of the additional entertainment he brought was not needed, it was a relief to know it was there ready to go! Simply put, he went above and beyond for us and it was an absolute pleasure to work with him. I could not recommend anyone else more highly for anyone looking to create a fun, memorable wedding.

Winter Wedding

Eric was absolutely fantastic for our small family only wedding. He played guitar for our ceremony, cocktail hour and through dinner...it was BEAUTIFUL! He was extremely prepared and made sure to know exactly what we wanted. Once it was time for dancing he played great music my family loved and everyone had a fantastic time. He was very professional and we could not have asked for anything more!

Fantastic to work with

Eric was a fantastic DJ and knew exactly how to work with the crowd and keep the party moving in the right direction. His selection of music was exactly what we were hoping for, and he was very flexible working with custom requests from the audience during the night. I highly recommend his services!

Best Party Ever!

We hired Eric as the DJ for our wedding an couldn't have been happier! Eric was really the full package-- he performed guitar for the ceremony prelude and the ceremony processional. We wanted "Take it all back by Judah and the Lion" as the bridal processional song and he learned the song to play for us! I've had friends tell us they'd never thought of the song as a wedding processional but really loved how it turned out! Same here! The reception was also just fantastic! Eric played music that kept the party going and everyone had such an awesome time! I would absolutely recommend Eric (Zowie Entertainment) to anyone looking for a rocking party!

Loved working with Eric!

Prior to our wedding, Eric provided great information, options, and communication. I felt really comfortable that I could trust in his preparation and skill leading up to our day. He was a wonderful DJ at our reception, and guided us through each event in a professional, classy, and fun way. He has such a great personality, and knew just the right songs to play that both fit our tastes and kept folks dancing. If I had it all to do again, I'd absolutely hire Eric without hesitation!

Amazing musician & DJ

We hired Eric as a guitarist for our ceremony & cocktail hour and to DJ during our reception. He was responsive, professional, and easy to work with. We gave him a couple songs that we wanted played during the reception and he figured out the rest based on our taste! It was perfect. We even had a few people ask for the playlist for their wedding! Highly recommend!

Couldn't be more pleased!

My wife and I hired Eric to play guitar for our wedding, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. Not only does he offer a tremendous catalog of songs available to perform (and he's an excellent musician and singer), but he's terrific to work with as well. Very reasonable rates, quick to respond to emails and inquiries, flexible personality, and his performance was superb. Deadheads especially will appreciate his song list! I highly recommend Eric and am grateful we were able to have him play at our wedding!

Fantastic musician!

Super Fun Times!

Working with Asheville Wedding Entertainment has been an absolute pleasure. Eric is courteous and funny and can really rock that guitar. One of my nieces requested a freeze dance at our reception and he was more than happy to oblige and even picked the best song for it! I could very easily see him throwing the best party for both kids and adults alike. He even sent us pictures of guests dancing! I would hire Eric again in a heartbeat.

Kept everyone on the dance floor!

Eric was a pleasure to work with! I actually dropped another vendor I was speaking with and chose Asheville Wedding Entertainment because Eric was so organized and responsive. His phone calls were so helpful in thinking about ever part of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception that needed music. When our venue notified us that the DJ could not use the wifi at the venue Eric didn't even flinch as he had a HUGE collection of songs ready to go. I got so many compliments about the DJ after the wedding and would recommend Eric over an over again!

Eric was seriously amazing! We hired him to DJ our wedding and he was friendly, professional, and prompt. His song selections were awesome, and all of our guests loved him! Eric was AWESOME!! Not only is he a great DJ, but he's a very talented musician! He played acoustic guitar at our ceremony and cocktail hour (which was a big hit) and then DJ'd our reception. Let me tell you, we are so glad we chose him for our entertainment for the big day! He's lively and fun but also feeds off of the energy of the room making sure that song choices corresponded to the overall mood. Weeks prior to our wedding, we submitted our song choices and music guide which was a huge help in planning and making sure we were all on the same page. Eric was professional, fun, easy going and definitely a huge reason everyone had a blast!!!

Eric was easy to work with from start to finish, and did an excellent job at our wedding. He had a thorough list of questions for us to be sure he knew everything we wanted for the ceremony and reception. My father, who has been to many weddings where the music is way too loud, was very happy that that wasn't the case at our wedding. Eric worked with our wedding planner to be sure the timeline was up-to-date based on our last-minute changes. He was incredibly patient, knowledgable about options, and flexible.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, and would certainly hire him again for any future events.

Eric was a great DJ and we are so happy that he was available for our wedding! Eric's services are very affordable but top quality at the same time. What initially attracted me to Eric when searching for a DJ was his versatility. He can play acoustic music for the ceremony and DJ the reception. Even though we ended up going with recorded instrumental music for our ceremony, that is definitely something that is unique about him. Eric was easy to work with, understood our vision for the ceremony and reception, and we had a pretty good dance party going during our wedding which is exactly what we wanted!!! We highly recommend Eric as a wedding DJ.

Eric is GREAT! He really felt what the crowd was feeling and played fun and upbeat music and stayed true to our requests. I really couldn't have asked for a better DJ and cooler guy to take care of our music, mic, and announcement needs throughout the wedding. I am so glad we booked Eric for our wedding! Choosing a DJ was somewhat of a challenge for us since you pretty much just have to rely on reviews and can't really attend their events ahead of time but I'm so happy with our decision to go with him. We didn't even meet in person until we were at the reception but we had lots of communication prior to the wedding and he was really responsive and thorough with the information he gave us and requested from us. He checked in with us as soon as we got to the reception to make sure there weren't any last minute changes we wanted and from then on everything ran really smoothly.

We had asked that he fade our first dance and parent dance songs out after a minute or two (because we feel awkward having everyone just stare at us) and it worked out great. I thought it went on just a little longer than I would have liked but both of our moms said they wished it went longer so it was a good middle ground. Eric played all (or nearly all, I'm not totally sure) of our guest and personal requests and we had a blast dancing. He also took some pictures from his table that he shared with us which was really cool to have from another perspective!

From where we were waiting I couldn't really hear the ceremony music from the prelude or the processional so I assume it went great since no one told me anything was wrong. Our officiant and readers each had mics and there were no issues with the volume or them cutting out.

Overall we're so happy we hired Eric! He was a huge part of why our wedding day was so successful!

Eric was awesome! He quickly responded to me and was very organized (which was important to me). He quickly caught on that a majority of the guests (including us) were from Penn State and he played football game songs that got everyone excited! He was flexible and helped me stay on schedule! The day went perfect, and everyone was on the dance floor at the end of the night! Thanks for everything Eric!

Eric was great to work with! At the beginning of the process, he sent me an informational document to fill out regarding the music to be played. This document ended up helping me with the wedding process as a whole! He made sure to play the ceremony songs exactly as we requested (even the obscure ones), and even got my grandpa dancing at the reception! Thanks, Eric!

Eric was amazing, and we are so glad we were able to book him for our wedding! He made sure we had the details ironed out beforehand so that we'd have the wedding reception of our dreams. From the moment I walked into the reception venue I was blown away at how the music matched the decor. It really set the mood! The guests loved him and he even took pictures of guests on the dance floor - which is so nice considering we have to wait awhile before we get our wedding photographs back. He truly made our wedding memorable, and guests are still talking about how much fun they had!! I'd give him 10 stars if that were an option. Thank you so much, Eric!! You rock!!

Eric was our DJ/guitar guru extraordinaire for our wedding almost two weeks ago. He was beyond amazing in every way and I couldn't have asked for a better pick to make our wedding day amazing! Eric was timely in his communication and always kept us in the loop. He was so easy to speak with on the phone when we were hunting for DJs I knew that we had to go with him immediately, without even meeting first! He was a great help with coordinating songs for the ceremony and the reception. On top of his excellent DJ skills, Eric is also amazing at playing the guitar! He actually played and sang for our entire cocktail hour and all of my guests were raving about how great he was. Part of his package includes him learning a song on the guitar for us which I thought was extremely sweet and personal. We didn't have a large set playlist for the reception but Eric did a great job with feeling out the crowd for dancing from the beginning of the night to the craziness and hilariousness that was the end! Eric, thank you so much for everything you did for us. You made our perfect day better than we could have ever dreamed! If anyone is looking for a DJ/wedding entertainment I would 100% suggest Eric!

Eric was wonderful to work with. He did a fantastic job at our wedding. He was there early, played everything we asked for, and made it a blast!! We sent him a list of things we wanted and he worked out all of the details from there, even contacting our musician and setting everything up with him. It was extremely easy and he made the party just what we wanted! We can't thank or recommend him enough!

We were certain we wanted a DJ for our son's wedding, as so many times guests begin to leave when a band takes a break, and we preferred the "true" quality of familiar songs. From the first contact, Eric offered everything we needed. His professionalism, his experience, and his confidence in presenting us with what our needs required were spot-on. He arrived right on time, set up everything just as promised, shared his talents as a guitarist and entertainer, and made the reception an over-the-top success! The 160+ guests were all commenting on the excellent music and sound system, and DANCED!! We could not have been more pleased!

Asheville Wedding Entertainment was absolutely amazing!! Eric was so easy to work with from start to finish. He provided me with a planning guide, which helped me figure out how I wanted everything to flow from the start of our ceremony to our grand entrance, the first dance and the very last song. He was flexible when I changed my mind and patient when it took me right up to the very last minute to make decisions. He read my crowd perfectly and had everyone dancing all night long. One of my guests even asked him to stay an extra hour (which he did) and complimented on how awesome he was. I'm so glad we chose him to be our DJ and highly recommend him!

Eric Everett provided dj services for our wedding on July 2, 2016. He was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations! He was pleasant, easy to work with, organized, answered many questions, and provided suggestions when asked. He met with us in person several weeks before our wedding and made us feel very comfortable. He also created an acoustic version of a song of our choice and worked with our selected singer - it was wonderful! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and many told us how impressed they were with Eric. What a gifted musician and entertainer and an all around great person! I highly recommend Eric for your wedding or any event!

I am so glad that we hired Asheville Wedding Entertainment for our wedding! Eric was very professional and responded extremely quickly to all our questions. He listened to our requests and did a great job of sticking to the style of music that we preferred. He managed to include many of the guests' song requests (we asked him to allow requests). He also provided our ceremony music, which was perfect! He had the schedule we gave him for the order of events, but was very flexible when I wanted to adjust the timing of things during the reception. He managed to get our stubborn crowd out onto the dance floor. We highly recommend his services!

Eric did a wonderful job with everything. Before the event I emailed him multiple times updating and changing songs and even services that Eric was providing. I added services about a week or two out to what Eric was already providing and he was willing to work with me and made all the changes that I requested. Eric played guitar for the seating of guests at the ceremony, played recorded music for the ceremony, provided a sound recording of the ceremony, provided uplights at the reception, played music on separate speakers during the cocktail hour, and most importantly Eric got guests out on the dance floor and kept them out there. I have been told over and over by guests how wonderful of a job Eric did with the music. I left all the music up to Eric during the dancing at the reception and he did a great job reading the crowd.

Eric Everett is a fantastic musician and DJ! From the very beginning, he was great to communicate with! He always responded to my emails in a timely manner and he also agreed to meet my fiance and me in Asheville on a weekend that we would be in town (we are not from the area). He played acoustic guitar and a couple of recorded songs for my wedding ceremony. His acoustic guitar playing was very beautiful and he was able to accommodate my request for a song that wasn't on his list. He also did a fabulous job at our reception as DJ! Our venue owner was very impressed with his professionalism, his communication, and his knowledge of the flow of a typical wedding reception. My guests had a blast and almost all were out on the dance floor at some point! He did an excellent job of incorporating the songs we requested and reading the crowd! Many people commented it was the most fun they had had at a wedding. If you choose him to be your DJ and/or your wedding musician, you will not be disappointed!

Eric needs 6 stars for all of these! He really was amazing. He worked with us financially to make sure our day was exactly what I wanted. He was so professional in every aspect of our big day. Our guests really enjoyed his music and he had the perfect tone for everything. I am so grateful I snatched him up for our June wedding. Eric Everett=life saver! We are so thankful for his contribution to our wedding! He is very professional and walks you through each step necessary to help keep guests entertained throughout the evening. His organization skills helped keep us calm and collected. Our guests loved him, and so did we! Eric took a great evening and made it better! I may be biased but you will not find anybody better ;) Eric is the best! Eric was so easy to work with. He was very flexible and relaxed, which helped make our wedding day less stressful. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. Eric was perfect to work with as our wedding DJ. Music was a high priority for us, and we are so glad we hired him. He was prompt, courteous, friendly, and had great ideas for little ways to enhance the evening. During our planning, he offered us a wide variety of packages that we could adjust to our budget, and was so helpful in helping us determine the best package choice.

At the wedding, he had an excellent sense for how to allow the music to drive the flow of the evening, and everything moved seamlessly. His ability to read the crowd meant that the dance floor was full all night. Hiring Eric was definitely one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process!

Eric was wonderful to work with throughout our entire wedding process. When it came to planning our music for our reception, he was very accommodating and always upbeat and excited to answer our questions. When the big day came, he was the perfect DJ! He played songs from our suggested list, as well as included requests from the crowd. Our guests complimented several times on how much fun they had dancing due to the excellent flow of the songs. There was never a lull in the excitement. We had a blast with Eric and we would recommend him to any newly engaged couples!

Eric and I started talking about the wedding several months prior (per my now wife's instructions to find a DJ). I believe I enjoy an eclectic assortment of music anything from county, to rock, to bluegrass, to I don't know what. As far as putting together a song list additional to what I created Eric did a great job.

In addition to this we had some unpredicted circumstances come up. We lost power (this was an outside event). This was in no ways Eric's fault. We lost power right at the beginning of the reception. Eric helped turn what could have been very bad into an awesome night. He handled everything very well.

Everyone was dancing, and many people that probably shouldn't have been thanks to Eric.

He is very professional, flexible, and great to work with. I would recommend to someone with any background or preference. Also great as a DJ or Performer.

Eric was such a wonderful DJ. He worked so well with us, and was incredibly flexible. We had to reserve pretty last minute, the timing of the event was a bit of a mess, but he worked with me on everything. From DJing to MCing to playing and singing Beatles tunes for our ceremony, everything Eric did for our wedding was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Eric was easy to work with and flexible. He even met with us in person (at no additional cost) to go over the wedding venue setup and discuss music options and other details. Eric did a great job at working in songs from our playlist as well as playing additional songs that fit the mood of the evening.

Eric was an integral part of our wedding in every way. From playing the guitar/singing during the ceremony to creating an incredibly fun atmosphere during the reception, Eric truly is some of the best talent I've seen. I also think Eric was an incredible value--you get a singer/guitarist and a DJ all in one. If you had to hire two separate people for that, you would easily pay twice as much as he charges. He can also provide extra sound equipment, lighting, and some other services too, I think. Even before the wedding day, he was super helpful and responsive to my questions and concerns, and stayed in close contact with me about planning all the details. I really believe our wedding was a success in large part because Eric really listened to what we wanted and really cared. You won't get that kind of service from one of the larger entertainment companies. I can't recommend this guy highly enough!

Eric was amazing! He played a whole list of songs my husband and I had put together but worked some other nice songs in as well to help our music list flow. Our group of friends is very silly and Eric did a great job just playing along with our wackiness (he picked really funny songs for the bouquet and garter toss and he even played along with the guys when they decided to kick the girls off the dance floor so they could dance to "girls just wanna have fun"). He did a really good job of reading our group to decide which songs he should play (like when he busted out some backstreet boys and the girls went nuts!) We were originally planning to not have a DJ but changed our minds at the last minute and Eric was very accommodating and responsive even though we were already down to the wire when we hired him. He really helped to make the night a blast and we have had so many friends mention that they've never had more fun at a wedding before. We couldn't have been happier!

Eric was wonderful to work with all the way through from the wedding planning to the special day! He was very flexible and met with us twice in person and several times over the phone to review all details. Eric provided instrumental guitar for our ceremony, DJ music for our reception, MC, lighting, and decorations! He truly did so much and all at a reasonable price.

Eric also played at our rehearsal dinner party, which we invited all 75 guest! Everyone thought he did a terrific job singing and playing guitar!

Eric was the most wonderful DJ we could ever ask for! We have very eclectic tastes and didn't want any run-of-the-mill DJ and definitely didn't want someone who only played line dances. So we turned to Eric and couldn't be happier for it. His guitar playing and singing was absolutely beautiful (and my fiance is a guitar player and singer himself, so we are usually pretty critical). He was flexible and played all of our requests (even though most of them weren't standard DJ fare). But best of all he was a joy to work with! He was kind and prompt with his correspondence. He was easy-going on the wedding day and made us laugh many a time :) Plus he had the best prices of any DJ I found in the area. I would highly, highly recommend him to anyone in need of good music.

Eric was a great DJ for our wedding this year! Having not been to many weddings in the past, I wasn't sure of what kind of music to play. With Eric's help he allowed me to choose songs I like as well as incorporate requests from guests. Eric took the lead in really listening to the crowd's wants and everyone came back to me saying what great entertainment we had! He was so helpful in the planning process as well, with suggestions about first dances, entrances, and timing. Overall the reception would not have been nearly as fun without entertainment from Eric!

Eric was awesome! I chose Eric as our DJ after meeting him at the wedding festival in Asheville. I really liked him as soon as I met him - he's really genuine and down to earth. I also LOVED that he's a musician as well and can provide tons of other services too. At our wedding he played acoustic guitar and sang at our ceremony and tons of people told us they were really impressed with him! Then at the reception he DJ'd. He was great at feeling out what songs would keep people dancing and really open to requests. Really enthusiastic and creative, Eric took our plans and made a night of it! He has developed a skillset and instinct with facilitating group events and we were glad we hired him. We enjoyed working with him and liked his confidence in our plans. He even produced a personal version of "Tandem (Gangum) Style" song that made for a super fun entry of the bridal party. During the karaoke portion of our night, he was prepared with pre-picked songs but also flexible to changes and developments. The only cons were having miscommunication between Eric and planners about the groom/groomsmen processional entry song at the ceremony. No big deal, what's so awesome is that guests didn't even notice. In fact, people said it was the funnest, most uniquely interactive wedding and wedding reception they've ever been to. Some said most special wedding experience they've ever had! Eric was a big part of that happening and took a lot of the burden of facilitating off our shoulders. Thanks, Eric!

Eric did a great job for our wedding. The kids had fun, the guests were happy about picking some songs, and worked with the schedule and changes so things flowed well. Our theme was books and games and he did a great job hyping the games and making our couple shoe game a major highlight for the guests.

Eric was great. We planned our wedding on our own from out of town and played a lot of things by ear the day of the wedding. Eric is very kind and calming while still being able to get things done in a moments notice and take charge when required. Planning a wedding is expensive- honestly it felt like every vendor was double what I expected them to be! But Eric was reasonable and he kept everyone grooving on the dance floor. I appreciated that he was very focused on getting the details right for us and making sure everything was clear and how we wanted it.

My only note is that because I wasn’t totally on top of my music selection/timeline I received a lot of emails from him leading up to the wedding. I appreciated that he was trying to get all the details just right, but it was also a bit overwhelming.

Eric was flexible to work with and communicated efficiently through emails. He provided a variety of options for our budget. He selected good music to play and his lighting equipment was just what we wanted.

Eric was a good communicator before the event and was very helpful to work with. Our wedding reception was at the Highland Brewery and people danced until we had to shut it down. I'm usually not fond of DJ's at receptions, but Eric did a nice job and the song selection was good (it kept people on the floor). I'd recommend him for a wedding event.
