Ivelisse was our wedding planner and I cannot say enough amazing things about her. She made this entire experience incredible from the get go and made everything PERFECT!! This venue is so spectacular I would not have wanted our day to go any other way or be held ANYWHERE else! -

If you’re thinking of Aruba for your destination wedding have it here. Melanie, our coordinator, was hands down the best. She made everything so seamless and spent countless meetings with me virtually to make sure my expectations were met. My vision for our wedding was classic and timeless and that is exactly what Melanie helped me achieve. Everything went as expected and it was my perfect dream wedding.
The resort itself was phenomenal. The rooms are newly renovated, staff were so friendly, and the service was top tier. The resort is clean, they have two pools, and it’s right on the beach if you prefer that. The food at the pool bar and lobby bar was delicious. There was nothing I ate on site that was bad. They have gelato, a Starbucks, a Ruth’s Chris (where we had our rehearsal dinner) and Mercat restaurant on site as well. Mercat had a great brunch buffet that was also really good. They have a nice patio out front where we had our welcome party the night before and cocktail hour on wedding day.
I couldn’t recommend this place more. We’re already planning our next trip back for our anniversary! Thank you Melanie and the Stellaris team for making my wedding a memorable one.

Enter Melanie Ruiz, our dedicated wedding planner at the Aruba Marriott and Stellaris Casino. Melanie's unwavering commitment to our dream weekend made every moment truly magical. Melanie's attentiveness was evident from our first conversation. She took the time to understand our inspirations and preferences, ensuring every detail reflected our vision. Her flexibility was remarkable; even when we made last-minute changes, she handled them with poise and efficiency, always keeping us informed and at ease. Her grace under pressure was a testament to her professionalism and passion for creating unforgettable experiences. The wedding setup was nothing short of breathtaking. The beachfront ceremony featured a fully draped four-pole arch adorned with chandeliers and floral arrangements, creating a romantic and elegant atmosphere. The cocktail hour featured appetizers that people are STILL taking about. The reception continued this theme, with exquisite decor that left our guests in awe. Every element was thoughtfully curated, reflecting our personalities and love story.
To kick off the weekend, we hosted a welcome party at Mercat Patio that set the tone for the festivities ahead. Melanie coordinated a vibrant and elegant event that welcomed our guests with warmth and style. The atmosphere was lively, the food delectable, and the setting picturesque—an unforgettable start to our wedding celebration.
Thanks to Melanie's meticulous planning and the stunning backdrop of the Aruba Marriott Stellaris, our wedding weekend was flawless. Loved Our Destination Wedding
We are so happy with how everything turned out from our venue. The setting is just gorgeous. From the front desk to the gentlemen running the palapas, every member of the staff couldn’t have been happier for us. We did a welcome party, ceremony and reception on site for 50. Jessika was our event planner. For the planning process, come prepared with your vision and she executes. It’s ok if parts of that vision change in the process, she helps you adjust and fine-tune. She understood my taste and made suggestions which I really appreciated. She helped me manage the balance of what was available from vendors on island to what I was bringing down myself. I struggled with color palette planning from afar, and she was very helpful in helping me craft my tablescape. If you want the fine details attended to at your wedding, be a highly detailed person during the planning process - that combination with myself and Jessika was the magic. Our florist WOWED. Food was great. Bartenders were great. Thank you Jessika and Aruba Marriott! My cup runneth over. -

The BEST Venue in Aruba
I do not know where to start. From beginning ti plan the wedding to actually having the wedding at the Marriott, Juliane and her team were AMAZING!!! I couldn’t ask for anything more perfect! Any inspiration pictures I showed with decor and small details, they nailed! The wedding was so enjoyable and stress free! I HIGHLY recommend having your wedding here! -

I remember my first time coming to Aruba and seeing a wedding at the Marriott and just knowing that is where I wanted to get married. It became a dream of mine in my late teens. My family owns timeshares at the Marriott Surf Club so I knew, if I wanted to get married in Aruba, the Marriott would be the perfect spot. Additionally, I wanted to get married at the Marriott because it is honestly perfect! It is gorgeous and there are so many amenities close by. After booking at the Marriott, we got paired with Jessika. I am a COVID bride so I worked with Jessika for over two years. Jessika became one of my friends, she is like family and I adore her. She is kind and hardworking. She tried so hard to keep everything within our budget. She listened to our concerns, our wants and our must haves. I am extremely detail organized and Jessika did everything she could to meet my vision. She rose to the challenge of my expectations and the wedding superseded my expectations. I am having a hard time putting into words how much Jessika did for us because honestly, my words do not do her justice. I couldn’t imagine planning with anyone else. Jessika and I had so many zoom meetings to make everything perfect. Jessika organized the day by making sure we had the best room, with the best getting ready drinks I have ever tasted in my life! She was there for us throughout getting ready, our first looks (which were perfect- before the first look we literally cried excited tears together- we were that close), and the ceremony. The ceremony was perfect and Jessika made sure our ceremony included all of our little requests (including ceremony shots via a shotski!) My husband and I decided to rent the adult pool and I really recommend it. The pool setting was gorgeous and much more private and intimate. The way everything came out was gorgeous! The setting and decor took my breath away! Jessika helped us hire the perfect vendors to create the most special day of our lives. I cannot thank Jessika and the Marriott enough for the best wedding ever. Every one of the guests loved it and we loved it! I am so sad it is over because it was the most perfect week thanks to Jessika but I know we will be back at the Marriott soon enough. If you are reading this and considering booking with the Marriott, you will not regret it and I hope you are lucky enough to get Jessika as a wedding planner. Because if you do, you have the best wedding planner a couple could ask for. -

Our wedding here was absolutely perfect. I can't thank Jessika enough for all of her support throughout the planning process and especially the day of our wedding. Everything I asked for she made happen and I am very grateful to her and her team.
The hotel itself is the nicest I have ever stayed in and all of our guests were equally as impressed. Everyone who worked there seemed to really enjoy it and they were all so positive and helpful, it really made the experience.
We choose Aruba for our destination wedding as it is one of our favorite places and after speaking with a few other vendors, selected the Aruba Marriott as it fit all of our needs and I am so glad we did. All of the vendors that were recommended were amazing. The meal was one of the best I have had in Aruba, the flowers were exactly what I wanted and I had brought a few items like sunglasses, place cards, name cards etc. which they were able to put all together exactly as I had envisioned.
The majority of our guests stayed additional days and it was the experience of a lifetime to have not only such a perfect wedding day but a perfect week with our closest family and friends.

My wife Alex and I had the pleasure of getting married at the Aruba Marriott. We had visited the property twice prior, and felt like it was the perfect place to have a safe and fun wedding, and we are so glad we picked this Marriott. We were paired with Jessika from the Marriott team for our wedding planning, and she helped us create a really special experience for us and our guests. We had a welcome party, a beach party, our ceremony, reception, and brunch ALL on the property, each event in a different picturesque location.
The fact that we could have every event outdoors, and show different parts of the property, meant our guests never had to deal with shuttles or departures, and instead could just enjoy each other's company.
We also worked with the vendors provided by Marriott, each of whom ended up being top notch. Shout outs to DJ Ruuben and Viktor the photographer! We are so happy with how everything turned out, and we definitely plan on returning regularly to spend more time at this hotel. The property is gorgeous, the pool is nice, the ocean is steps away, and the food at each of the restaurants is great too.

We chose to have our wedding at the Marriott Stellaris and we are so happy we did. It was an absolutely perfect day and our guests were blown away. When having a destination wedding, you have to except some things to go not as planned, but that was not the case for us. Everything that i wished for came to life all because of my incredible planner Jessika. The food, the decor, the weather, the appetizers, the open bar, the ceremony, the DJ & dancefloor, it was all perfect! Having good food was a major concern of mine, and everyone LOVED the food. We went with the Mahi Mahi and Chicken (they give eggplant parm to those who are vegetarian) and it was hot and delicious. the portions were also great! We added an ice cream truck too which our guests loved. The Marriott sure knows how to put on a great event! -

She brought my vision to life and I completely trusted her experience and judgement. Leading up to our arrival, the planning process was stress-free and easy to manage. Once arriving to the resort, our experience was outstanding-- staff so friendly & knowledgeable. The best decision we made in our wedding planning was hosting at the Marriott Stellaris. Everything about the Stellaris, from the staff, the location, the amenities, the property itself - this resort is the ultimate destination. Our guests were amazed from the second they arrived (the majority had never been to Aruba). The reservations department was extremely understanding and helpful with fulfilling multiple guest requests for specific rooms and ensuring we'd have enough rooms for everyone. We were assigned to Ivelisse as our wedding planner and there was nothing she was unable to achieve for our dream wedding day. I spent hours on zoom calls with Ivelisse organizing and figuring out all the little details for our wedding. Ivelisse is professional, calm, easy to work with and understanding. She does it all! The Marriott Stellaris offers the full destination wedding experience and has the best list of vendors on Island. Could not recommend more! Wish I could re live this night/week forever. -

Amazing beach wedding at the Marriot
We got married on the beach/patio of the Marriot Resort and Stellaris Casino on 10/22/21 and it could not have been more perfect. Our wedding coordinator was the Assistant Events Manager Duska Dirksz and she was amazing. Planning was very easy with just a few Zoom calls followed by emails throughout the process. Duska explained each step of the process and helped us to plan the exact wedding day that we wanted, including the perfect menu, decor, awesome officiant and amazing Dj. Upon our arrival to the resort, we met with Duska who then walked us through the layout and explained how the day would go. On our wedding day, Duska was very organized and the event went flawlessly. The staff was fantastic, including Darrell the bartender, Lionel and Gianelly, and servers Summer, Jose, and Melanie. We had an amazing experience with both Duska and the Marriot resort staff as a whole and highly recommend this location for a destination wedding or vacation. -

My sister and my now husband's sisters have been going to Aruba for 15+ years, one of them having lived there too. They have stayed at the Marriott Resort for years and we knew this would be the perfect place to have our wedding! We first went through Abigail, who then turned us over to Juliane. We were so excited to have our date and start the process. From the beginning, Juliane lacked in her responsiveness and communication via email, where phone calls were necessary for answers and clarification throughout the process, which we gave her the benefit of the doubt for.
While our wedding planner Juliane was personable, her performance was marked by multiple concerning issues. She was often delayed in responding to our emails, which was unsettling given that we were coordinating from 2,000 miles away. Additionally, she last minute requested a change in the meeting time for the rehearsal, to which she arrived 20 minutes late for, stating "H.R." with a deep breath and a roll of her eyes. We should have known then that the pit in our stomachs was for a good cause. During the meeting, we asked if everything was in place; flowers, cake, music, dinner reservations, and day of timeline. She assured us everything was perfect and good to go. She even complimented us for being "the easiest going couple she has had to work with".
On the wedding day, several critical elements were mishandled: the flowers were not only the wrong color but also the wrong flowers (contract stated roses and hydrangeas- were given roses and baby’s breath), the bride’s entrance song was incorrect (the steel drum player was not the player we were told we would have), the groom did not walk down the aisle with his mother (she was told to sit), nor were guests made aware the ceremony started; missing the beginning entrances, and most distressingly, no officiant was present at the start of the ceremony (Juliane had the bride and groom walk down the aisle to stand there waiting awkwardly). To make matters worse, Juliane directed the bride to wait behind a dirty towel bin to avoid being seen by the groom. With beach goers and guests of the Marriott, asking the bride, what is she doing hiding here. Surely, a more appropriate and private space could have been arranged. Ultimately, hotel staff had to move the bin, leaving the bride unexpectedly exposed.
Then, the lack of an officiant caused a prolonged and highly distressing delay in the middle of the ceremony. After the bride had already walked down the aisle, she was left waiting without anyone to officiate, forcing her to walk back up the aisle—a mortifying and unnecessary experience. Amid the scramble, the Juliane attempted to find any available staff member to step in. Even asking the bride and groom’s families if they had someone who could do it. This impacted the sunset ceremony from the unnecessary delays. The replacement officiant not only didn't know the groom’s name but also read an unrelated poem, referencing customs and cultures, which had no connection to either family. This was profoundly embarrassing and disheartening, detracting from the meaning and personal connection of the ceremony.
The compensation offered—a few bottles of prosecco and appetizers—was far from adequate in addressing these mistakes.
Despite these challenges, we want to acknowledge the outstanding professionalism of the photographer, who not only delivered beautiful images within a day but also stepped in to assist with managing the ceremony. Additionally, the dinner service staff were attentive and provided excellent service. However, even the dining setup fell short, with an improperly arranged table that required a last-minute, mismatched addition, creating an awkward experience for our guests, which were 14 people (including the bride and groom),
At the end of the night, Juliane approached the bride directly (for the second time after being asked not to), failing to take any ownership for the mistakes and instead expressing frustration about needing to address the issues with the vendors. This was an inappropriate and insensitive conversation to have with the bride, especially after such a stressful and disappointing experience. A day meant for joy and celebration should never have been clouded by such a discussion.
We spoke with the General Manager; Ivelisse, after the ceremony, who also made us reassurances about how she was going to correct this and make the appropriate compensation for this disastrous event. She gave us her contact information, to which we reached out and have yet to hear from her. I have never been so upset, disappointed, embarrassed, and mortified on a day that is supposed to be the complete opposite. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR EVENT.
***Photographer- Stiven. He was absolutely AMAZING, stepping in during the ceremony when there was no direction, such as, taking the bride's bouquet while the officiant was reading. He also directed the bride and groom when to walk and where to walk to. I recommend Stiven to everyone, he truly made the best out of a horrible situation, making us laugh and trying to make us feel special. He also stayed up all night editing our photos, so we received them the next night, as he "just wanted us to see us happy" and to have something positive from the day. The photos are beyond beautiful. -

UPDATED: We heard back from the Manager, which took over 2 days' time, but not until after the Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino had the review taken down on WeddingWire which had only been posted hours previously. It is disheartening to know that was their first priority. The Manager of Events at the Stellaris asked for a meeting and apologized profusely for the disastrous event. The accountability for the events that transpired was appreciated. As part of the “recovery process” the Marriott refunded the cost of the ceremony and the dinner following at their restaurant on site. However, as the Manager stated in the email correspondence following the meeting, she had added in events that were “credited” that did not take place. She also extended, as a “gesture of goodwill”, a keepsake certificate, which was part of the package we had paid for; this was just an additional item we did not receive on our wedding day. Another “gesture of goodwill” was Marriott Bonvoy points, it was stated the offered points have already been credited to our account, however, upon checking our account, the Stellaris had yet again made another critical error. The Marriott credited an extremely low number of points, which would not even cover their resort fees for a day, NOT the amount they had stated were credited. The email exchange regarding the points was short, as it was ended by the manager summing up that is all you are receiving, which is not even enough points to stay 2 nights on property. Please remember everyone had stayed on the Marriott property for a week, specifically for this event, our wedding day, which the Marriott did not get one detail correct for. The Marriott has proven time and time again, they do not follow through nor do they put their customers first.
Not only was the most important day of our lives together completely ruined, it is something we have to relive each time we get asked about our wedding. Everyday has been filled with anxiety, knowing people are going to ask about our wedding, as it is not something we can talk about without getting upset. We will never get this day back. On top of this, we are continuing to deal with more Marriott errors. Please do not use this resort for any function you have, especially such an important day, as your wedding. We do not wish this experience on anyone.
