Arturo is a fantastic photographer! He is very talented - has a keen eye. My husband and I as well as our family members and friends were very at ease with him, and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our wedding photos! He captured the perfect day that it was! Would definitely work with him again.

Auturo was such a pleasure to work with. He has a beautiful eye for framing the photo and getting the best light. Every photo that he took felt so personal and real- he captured all the best moments. All of our guests called him a ninja because he was so quiet and moved around without being intrusive. He went above and beyond and made us feel so comfortable. In addition to his wonderful demeanor we were beyond thrilled with our photos- they are PERFECT!

Disclaimer: we ended up calling off the wedding and so didn't get to use Arturo's amazing services. But throughout the entire booking process, working with him was great. He was responsive, professional, interested and kind. His enthusiasm for what he does was evident, and his prices were fair and clear. And the galleries he showed me were breathtaking. I would highly recommend.

Arturo was very professional. He made us very comfortable on a very tensed day. Very fast service, the photos were ready in a matter of days! (We only had an elopement so maybe that's a factor) Beautiful shots, he captured the moment perfectly. Keep it up!

We have never had professional photos before so this was a first for us. Arturo made us feel so comfortable during the entire shoot, and we really enjoyed ourselves. His photographs speak for themselves. He is a true talent.

Arturo is incredibly talented and gave us the most beautiful pictures imaginable! He made us feel at ease and relaxed. He even got my husband and stepson to smile which never happens in photos! For that alone I will be forever grateful! Thank you, Arturo :)

There's something different about Arturo's photography. My husband and I scoured Wedding Wire for photographers in PR who captured more than just pretty poses; we wanted a photographer with a photojournalistic style who captured the emotions and the moments of the day, but we had a very hard time finding one. Photographers with this style are much easier to find Stateside, but it appeared the trend hadn't yet hit PR. We came close to contracting one of the "pretty pose" photographers with a ton of 5-star reviews, but my husband tried searching on Wedding Wire one more time. He found Arturo a couple pages in, with few, but high reviews. We looked through the portfolios on Arturo's website and were taken aback by his style, which focuses on the people at the wedding and the genuine emotions and moments of the couple and their families and guests--it was exactly what we were looking for! Arturo is very responsive and professional. He was available to Facetime with us for the initial conversation, after which we chose him as our photographer! We got married in Puerto Rico, but my husband is Mexican and wanted engagement photos in Mexico. Arturo was planning to be in Mexico City and we coordinated with him to meet up. It turned into a fun afternoon of exploring Mexico City and taking engagement pictures--capturing scenes of the beautiful city in the meantime! Arturo was receptive to the theme we wanted to come through in the photos and recommended local spots to go to. We also took engagement pictures in San Juan days before the wedding, giving us a chance to walk around, eat icees, and unwind a bit during an otherwise stressful time! Arturo's wife Lori is super nice and joined him for our wedding, helping him get great shots. Arturo got our MANY pictures to us within a couple weeks of each engagement session and the wedding--so awesome! We recommend Arturo in a heartbeat! He's truly talented and a real joy to work with. BTW- check out his signature video stories!!!

Arturo was amazing! I hate having my picture taken and am very uncomfortable in front of the camera, but was still really hoping to have some great pics of me on my wedding day (hope springs eternal). Turns out, Arturo was fantastic at putting me at ease and really worked to get pictures of what I would call
the "true me". Not only do we have great wedding pictures, but there are actually some of me that I really love!

Arturo is really easy-going and fun, but is a complete professional and knows what he is doing. His shots are beautifully composed, and he made sure to communicate with us about our wants and needs in terms of what we were hoping for out of the shoot. He was open to new locations and suggestions and really made our morning fun and memorable.

We decided to take our engagement shots last minute in PR, after looking through several photographers, we contacted Arturo. He immediately called us and helped us setup a date that worked for our trip! He was so flexible and even gave us travel tips during our stay in Puerto Rico!

Shooting with Arturo was wonderful, his shots are very organic (which was exactly what we were looking for)! His turn around time is also very fast! We loved him. If we lived in PR, we would definitely ask him to join us again for another special event. Thank you!!

In searching for a photographer, Arturo's work stood out among many "generic" offerings. He obviously had a great eye for light and composition and we loved his narrative style. Also, his website was beautifully laid out & easy to navigate. Upon emailing, Arturo instantly opened a dialogue, featuring a FaceTime session to get acquainted visually and discuss thematic elements for our sessions. I found him to be very professional in our email exchange & we both felt very comfortable with him during our conference, plus the booking procedure was easy, transparent and his prices very fair.

As we were eloping sans entourage, our photos were of paramount importance, since they'd allow us to share our wedding adventure with everyone we'd left at home. We decided to book both Engagement & Wedding sessions with Arturo, the former (in our case) not really being associated with our engagement per se but more of a photographic celebration of our love.

In person, we both found Arturo to be friendly & easygoing. He worked by drawing us out in conversation, making us laugh, getting to know us, allowing us to know him, in short by making us comfortable--all in service of getting the most natural shots possible. Thanks to his warmth & casual efficiency, both sessions, which could easily have been anxious, stiff affairs, turned out to be carefree & fun, which was plainly reflected in the wonderful results.

Honestly, I can't say enough about the results. It was shocking, really, to behold the number and variety of gorgeous images he was able to frame in so short a time, & the degree to which he was able to portray the joyous, romantic intimacy of our union--which was the reason we chose elopement in the first place. Beyond capturing what was present, I truly feel that Arturo added something to our experience, & we'll both be forever grateful to possess these incredible images. So happy I had an opportunity to work with Arturo. He photographed my wedding on the beautiful beach in San Juan and did an amazing job. He made me and my husband feel very comfortable and captured some amazing photos as a result. He is very creative and has an eye turning something beautiful into something spectacular. If you are planning a special day in PR and need a photographer he is your guy.

The man is a genius! He did a photo shoot of me and my wife on our 3rd anniversary in San Juan, PR. I so wish he had been our wedding photographer. Besides being very very good at what he does he is also one of the nicest people I have met!!!

I had the privelege of working with Arturo today for a bridal portrait shoot in the Humacao Nature Reserve. From the initial contact I had with him, he was very friendly and really listened to my ideas, He was also very easy to get a hold of when I had questions for him. He was so kind and had a lot of energy during the 4 hour shoot. While I was having my hair and makeup done by a stylist that he works with, Arturo scouted out different areas of the nature reserve to find places that were visually interesting and had great lighting. All the locations he picked were beautiful and really captured the romantic feel that I wanted the pictures to have. Arturo was very easy to work with and his directions were easy to follow. I felt like he did an excellent job of helping me relax and found what angles and positions worked best to help show the wedding dress and to photograph me in. It was such a fun day and I would highly recommend working with Arturo. He is a very talented photographer and I hope to work with him again in the future.

Nous sommes ravis d´avoir choisi Arturo pour nous accompagner en ce grand jour. Nous avons tout de suite apprecié la qualité de son travail et surtout son originalité, il a l´oeil pour capter une situation, une expression spontanée, tout en se servant du paysage.

Sa technique: nous laisser vivre et lui fait tout le travail. Pas besoin de prendre la pose, il se fond dans la paysage. Le résultat est sublime, de trés bons souvenirs, chaque fois qu´on revoit les photos on se replonge dans tout un tas de bons petits moments et surtout d´emotions, ce qui resort le plus de son travail.

Nous sommes ravis d´avoir choisi Arturo pour nous accompagner en ce grand jour. Nous avons tout de suite apprecié la qualité de son travail et surtout son originalité, il a l´oeil pour capter une situation, une expression spontanée, tout en se servant du paysage.

Arturo's imagination set the tone for what any person would want in their dreamed wedding. The experience of our wedding photos and e-session was spectacular. That day, we arrived with numerous props and Author knew where to accomadate everything to make the pictures come out just as we expected. Everyone that has seen the pictures were fascinated by his work. Arturo sees what others do not see. He had a very keen eye to make something ordinary, extraordinary. From the blessing of my grandmother's husband to the groom's look, Arturo was definitely an excellent photographer that will make your wedding day a calm and unstressful experience. I can say that with this photographer, any couple will have a beautiful experience captured in every one of the photos.

It really makes me sad to say that while Arturo is a really nice guy and I honestly like him a lot when I look at the photos I received from him I am very disappointed. We had him photograph our welcome dinner the night before our wedding and the day of our wedding. However, while there are a few good shots, overall the photos feel impersonal, the quality of the work is not professional, and it isn't worth the amount we paid.
Basically, Arturo has a good artistic streak and he gets creative with his photos which I really like, but the problem seems to be that he doesn't have the technical expertise to consistently get good quality shots throughout an entire night that are sharp, in focus, and capture the feeling of a moment. I do want to say that we did get a few cool photos that play with light in an interesting way. However, we really lost out on the core photos you expect to get from your wedding day. Posed family shots, groomsmen together, first dance, and a lot of other shots were just poor quality.
In general, a large number of the photos are not sharply focused and very grainy. The frame that he chose for many of the photos was WAY too zoomed out making the pictures look like they are taken from very far away. During a lot of core moments in the wedding it seemed that instead of focusing on the people he focused on the setting. The groomsmen shots are very zoomed out and you can't see people's faces very clearly. It's not that some photos like this aren't good, but it was extremely overdone, and it seemed that little or no effort was made to get closer, more personal shots. We have no photo of our first dance where you can see our faces. In many of our posed family photos people have their eyes closed. This is not just a couple photos.
It was a mistake to hire Arturo and I regret it very much. I feel that we definitely overpaid for what we got which were the photos of an enthusiastic amateur rather than a seasoned professional.
