Both my husband and I work in the events industry, so when it came time to plan our own wedding, we knew exactly who we wanted to capture it — Mike and the team at Artistic Wedding Films. From our very first call with Mike, he immediately understood our vision and how to bring it to life on film.
On the day itself, Mike and Nico were prompt, professional, and an absolute joy to have around. Mike had such a calming presence — he knew exactly what to say to ease my nerves before the ceremony, all while capturing the most incredible, creative, and artistic shots.
The “trailer” video he sent us looked like something straight out of a movie — beautifully shot, emotional, and cinematic. And when we received our final wedding film, we were completely blown away. Every moment, big and small, was captured with such care and attention to detail.

Mike and his team were excellent!!!! Mike took the time to read through the questionnaire prior to meeting for our final details call and showed up very prepared. We hired Mike and his team to capture our wedding in September 2023 and every time we watch our wedding video, we’re reminded why we made the right decision. There are so few things that you take with you from your wedding day, but a video is one of them. So hiring trustworthy and creative professionals is paramount. That’s who Mike and his team are. They made us feel comfortable the entire day and it felt like they were simply there with us for the fun of the day, not a vendor we had hired. We can’t recommend them enough.
Mike has such a skilled way of capturing our personalities and portraying it through the edited video as opposed to your run of the mill wedding video.

The best AAA+++ service from Mike and crew. They captured the best moments and made everyone comfortable being on camera. Even our 4 and 5 year old flower girl and ring bearer smiled perfectly. Artistic Wedding Films is truly amazing. Mike made my wedding day incredibly special by filling the room with lighthearted moments and making potentially stressful moments funny and uplifting. He also shot my sister's wedding, and although my mom was initially against hiring a videographer, after seeing Mike's work, it was a no-brainer to hire him for my wedding four years later. Mike's work on the day of the wedding was exceptional, and the final video he produced was beyond incredible. I have watched it more than a hundred times and every time, I cry happy tears . Mike and his team were amazing to work with. Our wedding video was edited to perfection, filled with candid and delightful moments, capturing the fun and energy of the day. During the post-production, Mike worked with me to ensure that all the cultural dances and songs are captured and edited the way I wanted. The final wedding film was edited so beautifully with high touch cinematography, bringing to life the vision I had for my wedding video. Dan and Tommy were pleasant to work with. They captured more than four hour long amazing footage, staying until the end with us. Everyone in our family loved the video. We are so happy with the services of Artistic Wedding. They gave us a wedding video that we are happy to watch again and again and again with family and friends. -

Wedding Film that more than exceeds expectations!
We just received our wedding video back from Artistic Wedding Films and we couldn’t be happier and more grateful to the entire team that put it together! When we began the process of booking with vendors, we didn’t first think to book a videographer, but it turned out to be the most important vendor! The work that the team did for us and their positive impact on our day has made a lasting impact on all of us. We have been telling all of our friends and family about Artisitic Wedding Films and sharing the footage that they put together for us. The film more than exceeded our expectations and it is so evident how much time and effort the team put into it.
Watching the wedding film brought tears to our eyes. We never expected it to be so thoughtfully put together (especially the 2hrs of raw footage that the team clearly watched every minute of and edited to perfection). The multiple camera angles, focusing on the right details at the right time, capturing raw emotion, adding music at the right times, and the unbelievable quality of the footage all contributed to the beautiful film that they put together for us. Us and all of our friends truly felt like we were watching a movie. Investing in a videographer such as Artistic Wedding Films was the best decision that we made for our wedding day. It was worth every single penny! Some of our friends and family who were already married wished that they had known about Artistic Wedding Films after seeing our film, and our friends who aren’t married have already said that this will be the first vendor that they will book! I was on the fence about hiring a videographer because some weddings I've been to, they've felt intrusive. But wow, I am SO glad we decided to use Artistic Wedding Films. The team was incredibly friendly and talented and creative with their shots.
The wedding video is now what I'm most excited to see.
They are easy to work with, listened to everything we asked and made the process fun.

Mike and his team were absolutely FABULOUS! I had booked another vendor for videography, and as I got closer to my wedding I got nervous about the vendor and didn't feel super solid in my choice. I was connected with Mike, and we spent about 45 minutes on the phone and I booked him immediately. He is energetic, professional, creative, and flexible (we customized our own package) - everything you would want in a vendor and videographer. His work is unbelievable - I was sold on both his portfolio and his personality, he is so easy to get along with and I felt like I had known him for years. He captures EVERYTHING! Doesn't miss a beat, and makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable throughout the day. At one point during our beach shoot the wind was insane, and Mike had all of my bridesmaids' (9) pashmina's wrapped around his neck as he was kneeling in the sand at every angle to get the best footage - SUCH a trooper! I could go on and on - bottom line is he's fantastic, our video is stunning (we got it back in 3 weeks) which I will cherish forever, and I will miss working with him! Book him :) -

TLDR: Go for it, you won't regret it!
Mike and company provided a wonderful Zoom experience for our remote guests that perfectly captured our day without interfering or slowing down the ceremony. We also had him record some pre- and post- ceremony footage, and he and his team delivered a beautiful video for us to treasure forever. Editing is elegant and artful, without taking focus away from the event itself. I wouldn't change a single thing about it, which is incredible for such a personal memento.
Throughout the process, I was confident Mike would handle his side of things professionally and with little input from my wife and I. This is immensely valuable on a day when you have so much to worry about! He's also sincerely a pleasant and vibrant person that made us feel at ease, and he even left us laughing, which I'm sure helped him capture more natural footage of us.
We were also able to work with Mike to get the exact package and price point we wanted. We wanted Zoom as a minimum and maybe a recording to save, but were fortunately able to budget for some extra flourishes that really elevated edited version. At the same time, we never felt pressured to upgrade to something we couldn't afford. Everyone knows people are liable to regret spending money on frivolous wedding 'extras'. This is not frivolous, and you won't regret it.

Artistic Wedding Films did an absolute amazing job with the video of our wedding day. My husband and I planned a destination wedding in Jackson, Wyoming. When planning our wedding, videography was one of the last things that we booked because we wanted to ensure we didn’t go over budget. Looking back, it should have been one of the first things we booked after the venue because I didn’t realize just how much of your own wedding you do not get to see from the flower girl and ring bearer walking down the isle to the silly wedding party entrances to the reception. We were put in contact with Artistic Wedding Films through another couple that had used them previously. After seeing their video my husband and I were sold and started reaching out to Mike to inquire about availability for our date. Mike and team were very accommodating and willing to come all the way out to Wyoming to film our big day, even with short notice. They adventured around the town and national parks to capture beautiful footage before the wedding activities began and really captured not only our big day but the essence of Jackson. They asked all the right questions leading up to our wedding to ensure they didn’t miss the little things that were important to us. They captured amazing footage and turned it all into an unforgettable film that we will cherish forever! Planning a wedding during COVID brought a few challenges but did not stop us from moving forward with our DREAM wedding! Mike and Artistic Wedding Films were fantastic to work with every step of the way! They assisted in blocking out the stresses of the world and ensured that we all enjoyed the celebration at hand day of the wedding! Knowing that Mike & Dan were by our sides, capturing all the memorable moments of our small, intimate wedding allowed for us to take a deep breath and soak up all the love of the day! After watching some of Artistic Wedding Films work, we did not consider anyone else! They were the only ones who we felt could accurately capture the full emotion of our wedding day - and they did this beyond our wildest dreams. They were so professional and made us feel super relaxed and at ease (which is a difficult thing as my husband hates having cameras on him!) They were accomodating and accessible during the editing process, keeping us updated on the timeline. They truly wanted to make sure we loved it. Which we do times a million!! Mike was a true pleasure to work with from start to finish. Getting married during a pandemic, we often questioned whether a film would really be a "necessary" cost for our suddenly smaller, socially distant wedding. If this is you, do NOT question it. We love, love, love our wedding video and are obsessed with watching it. The video truly captures our amazing day and it will always be somethign that we will cherish. On our wedding day, Mike and Dan were so flexible, so easy going and so fun (even in their masks, I could tell they were happy to be there)--they made it easy to relax around them. They provided footage of our ceremony in record time, which made it wonderful for us to share it with those who were not able to attend the wedding. Our highlight video came shortly thereafter and it's truly a work of art and we are so, so happy with the finished product. In the end, having a high quality film you can share with people unable to attend because of the pandemic is all the more important during this crazy time.

Mike and his team are simply incredible. They adapted to every single schedule and addressed every small detail while creating a plan to bring our vision to life. There are no words to describe their professionalism.
During the day-of shooting, Mike was able to keep the mood light and stress-free, while somehow also entertaining the ring bearers and flower girls to achieve the perfect shot. He literally sprinted around to ensure drones were filming while cameras were capturing every aspect of the event in pursuit of telling our perfect story.
I own and manage a wedding venue and have the privilege of working with some of the industry’s leading event professionals. Among all my experiences, Mike and his team are true artists and second to none. We could not recommend them more.

When we were searching for a Videographer we landed on Mike at Artistic Wedding Films for many reasons... Mike’s reputation proceeds him, he is absolutely one of the Top Videographers not only in the Region, but in the Nation. Mike’s work is second to none, he is amazing at his craft of capturing special moments and editing them beautifully. I cannot say enough positive things about Mike and his team. I was blown away by his exceptional level of professionalism, care and talent. He was so organized but beyond that was deeply invested in my husband and I's story and wishes for our wedding and wedding video. He truly cared and it really showed the day of the wedding. Mike and his team of videographers/film makers were so professional and FUN. They were with us from the beginning of the day to the end of the night. They had us laughing during our pictures (which was awesome and made the photos even better!). They worked really well with our photographer and did not make us feel overwhelmed with cameras or lights in our faces. They allowed us to have the space that we needed to enjoy the day and really added happiness to our day. They feel like old friends that you have known forever and you will be happy to have them in your presence on such an important day. We are really looking forward to seeing our films!! Mike worked hard all day to make sure that he got a lot of awesome footage. He was out and filming around Newport early in the day before the bridal party was done getting ready just to make sure he got some of the landscape for the video! Also, he has a license to fly a drone for footage, which really adds a lot to the video and not everyone has this! Our venue, the Rosecliff Mansion, does not allow just anyone to fly a drone on their property. Mike is a veteran of weddings in the Newport area and he is allowed to fly his drone here! All of my vendors had worked with Mike and his team many times before and they had nothing but nice things to say about him when they found out that he was our videographer. It is so important to pick vendors who can work well as a team and Mike does an amazing job working with others! Best money ever spent
If you are looking for a videographer to truly capture every important moment of your special day, and then magically recreate that day, these are your people. We really did not give the team any direction as we really only added a videographer to appease our parents. However, we are obsessed with the outcome. The team worked well with my difficult husband (he hates being on film!) and worked incredibly well with the photographer.

Sonny Sent on 04/15/2018If you are questioning whether or not you need a wedding videographer, trust us when we say, you do. And even more so, you need Mike, Crystal and Neal - who make up the Artistic Wedding Films team that joined us for our four day wedding event that took place in Charlottesville, VA. They were absolutely fantastic, capturing every small detail of our entire weekend and one of the best decisions we made. In addition, they were so welcoming and made us feel comfortable through every moment of shooting. They also went the extra mile to make our video perfect, by joining us all four days we were in Charlottesville (when we only asked them to shoot two days) and going back to our venues even after our weddings were over just to get the perfect shots.
The highlight was their composition of the most amazing same-day edit that was played right before our American reception ended. The guests absolutely loved it and it was the perfect recap. It was a magical eight minutes because it recapped everything we had just lived over the past few days! We have watched our wedding preview about 100x at this point :-) The team truly felt like family to us once our weddings were complete. We can not thank them enough - Mike, Neal and Crystal - for being a huge part of our wedding and making us feel so special.
