Wonderful Women to Work With

Fran and her team were great! We had to push our wedding ceremony due to covid. She was receptive and willing to accommodate our situation. She kept in constant communication to get details of the girls getting hair and makeup done and created a timeline that ended up keeping us ahead of schedule for our photos. They took extra sanitation precautions through the whole thing and made sure to accommodate everyone's comfort levels. I loved Fran and her makeup artists, Jenny and Natalia. They were professional and easy to talk to while getting your hair and makeup done.

Fran Fernandez

Fran and her staff arrived on time at the Vinoy hotel despite a tropical storm. She was prepared and ready to go. All the ladies were happy with their hair and makeup. I will definitely use Fran for all my future events. She made my son’s wedding day extra special.

Amazing experience

The girls did a fantastic job ! We looked like movie starts. I actually fell asleep without removing any makeup and woke up the next day with my makeup almost intact, eyelashes were still on as well. Overall I had a fantastic experience with Fran and Christina. Fran was always on top of things to make sure everything was in order and ready for my big day. They were punctual, communicative and very professional. I will recommend 100 percent

I was extremely happy with Artistic hair and makeup by Fran Fernandez. Fran on hair and Christina on makeup were top notch. Everything was exactly the way I wanted it. I would recommend Artistic hair and makup to anyone for any occasion. Will upload wedding pics when I have them.

Gorgeous Hair & Make-up!

Fran did my mother's, my mother-in-law's, my sister-in-law's, my hair. Christine did our makeup. Both are fantastic! I did a trial about two months beforehand and my husband didn't like the eye makeup, because he thought it was a bit dark. I asked Christine to lighten up the eye makeup, and she did so perfectly just as I asked. I was really grateful she didn't disagree, but simply went with it. That meant a lot to me. She provided a very natural look, just as I wanted. It stayed on all night, but was still fairly easy to take off at the end of the night!
Fran's hairstyling was perfect! She made my mom look like herself, but glamorous, which was exactly what she wanted! She went back and did touch ups to make sure everything stayed up the whole evening, even through the dancing and as it turned out, the very windy day, especially on the beach! She is very creative and came up with a lovely version of the styles I found online, utilizing my hair piece. I couldn't have been happier with everything, nor could my family. They were also efficient and quite affordable. I would highly recommend them!

Simply the Best

You can stop searching -- Fran Fernandez is simply the best in Tampa Bay. She listened carefully, provided thoughtful options, and delivered the looks that were precisely what we each hoped for. Fran's trial run helped my daughter-in-law to make hair and make-up choices that were both natural and sophisticated (and that her groom loved!). When the big day arrived, Fran and Christina made the salon a welcoming, calm oasis (and yum, those gourmet biscuits from the neighboring shop!). Christina provided the make-up magic while Fran worked on our various up and down styles. Their pacing was perfect and we left with hair and make-up that was individually authentic and lovely. And our hair and make-up held up through the entire windy (and dance-filled) beach reception . . . and after. If you want a stylist who really listens and brings out your gorgeous, you will find her at Artistic Hair and Make-up by Fran Fernandez!

My wedding was last minute and Christina was so generous to make her schedule work to help me out. She went above and beyond and showed up on time. She did my makeup absolutely amazing and everybody was complimenting my hair. For a last minute notice she did such an amazing job and she takes everything to whole other level. I’m definitely going back to her for everything and I would recommend anyone to her as well, for any event you may have. She has an eye for anything artistic. She truly is an artist.

Fran and her team gave us professional care and attention from the first time we met her for a consultation on hair and make-up for my daughter's wedding all the way though to the day of the wedding. The bride had 7 bridesmaids plus two moms - all of whom had hair and makeup done that day! It went flawlessly! And our hair and makeup lasted well into the evening at an outdoor venue. Thank you, Fran, for your attention to every detail and concern for the requests of all the girls.

i would absolutely recommend the girls at artistic hair and makeup. they were so sweet and accommodating, very creative and great ideas along the way. they made sure everything ran smooth and beautifully the day of my wedding, no stress at all. all of my pictures turned out just beautiful. the price was reasonable and well worth the peace of mind knowing your in the best of hands, truly made the day everything it should've been.

I have been going to Fran for many years so when my daughter said she was getting married the only person I could think of and trust with such an important event in our lives was Fran and her team and they were awesome. She made my daughter's wedding day perfect. They did her hair and Makeup and even let us come in and try out different styles for her hair before her actual wedding day. I highly recommend Artistic Hair And Makeup by Fran Fernandez. When we first met, she wanted to briefly chat about what do I like and what type/style of wedding we are having. After that she blew me away with her ideas. I was presented with a lot creative ideas and quickly agreed to have my makeup done by her as well (originally I was looking for hair styling only). I can speak for all my female family members and bridesmaids who all had hair and makeup done in her studio for this occasion, and were impressed. Once again, I highly recommend.

Fran was the superwoman for my wedding.
After having my original hair and makeup team fall through last minute - I was in a panic to find a team for 8 bridesmaids, 7 family members and myself.
I swear Fran and her team wore capes that day. They got everyone done with the hair style they wanted and full airbrush makeup without rushing. I credit my pictures turning out so amazing because of this team. You'll find no one better.

Fran and her staff are fantastic! Fran met with me prior to my wedding to help me find the perfect hair style to match my dress and veil. She was patient with me as we tried different hair styles until we found the right one. She also did my makeup which was flawless. Then, she took a picture so that we would remember our plan for the big day. I was very happy with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She is the best!

Fran listens to what you want and makes suggestions-showing what she's thinking of doing with your hair. My advice is: take her suggestions! But, as I said, she listens to you so you need not be afraid. Trust me-you will look fantastic!!!

For my party reception my hair and makeup came together flawlessly. Her makeup artist truly know how to make you look beautiful without over doing it.

Fran is magic. My wedding makeup was flawless. I felt like a princess after she finished. My friends were all impressed with my wedding photos that I looked so young! I will always be grateful that I found her because that wedding photo hangs on our bedroom wall and reminds me just how happy I wax that day!

Fran IS AMAZING! She even had me come to her studio to do a trial run of my desired wedding hairstyle weeks before my wedding. She did my hair perfectly on my wedding day and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it! She did my mother's hair and makeup and I've never seen her look so beautiful. Fran is a natural at helping you look your best on your wedding day! I would definitely highly recommend her for your wedding day! I still continue to see her for my highlights and haircuts! GO SEE FRAN! 5 STARS!

Fran made me feel like a princess the day I got married on October 11, 1997. (The calendar on this review site would only go back to 2006!! LOL) :)
My wedding day was beautiful! I received so many compliments about my hair and makeup. We had so much fun getting ready. Fran is funny, professional, patient, and SO AWESOME at what she does. She is extremely talented. I explained to her what I envisioned and she brought it to life. I would highly recommend her to anyone planning their special day! :)

Fran and her staff are exceptional. She is open and above board on answering any questions or concerns. Listens to the client while offering advice where and when appropriate and is extremely organized. She is creative, patient and you can tell she loves what she does and wants the day to be perfect as much as the bride - if not more. One would be hard pressed finding anyone to top Fran and her team.

They are the best!

To wedding wire ....asking the amount we spent isn't a question that one could really use as a guide since every case is different...it could range from just the bride to the entire wedding party. Or to what extent our hair and/or make up was done and how many people a stylist/artist accommodated.

Fran Fernandez, owner of Artistic Hair & Makeup (AH&M) did an amazing job! She and her stylists provided the hairstyles and makeup for both my daughter's and my son's weddings on two different dates. Fran and her gals are top-notch, first class hair stylists and makeup artists who provided the most current, modern, state of the art hair and makeup styles and services that were customized for each member of the wedding party: my daughter the bride, me, my mother, 5 bridesmaids, my sister and the flower girl.
Fran made everyone in the wedding party look gorgeous, glamorous and made us all feel very beautiful and special...we have wedding photos to prove it! AH&M services included a complimentary consultation, a pre-wedding hairstyle and makeup trial run and wedding day hairstyles and makeup services on site at my daughter's hotel before the ceremony. All this at very reasonable prices we expected to pay much more for.
On the wedding day, AH&M made everything run smoothly, timely and stress free at both my daughter's and son's weddings. What a relief and pleasure to feel pampered and worry free on these two very special days.
I would never trust anyone else but AH&M with my hair and make up for any special occasion and highly recommend AH&M for bridal and special occasion hair and makeup services.

We had scheduled Fran and Jenny to come and do the hair for the bride, her bridesmaids and both mothers for my son's wedding. They arrived at our location on time and prepared (brought make up just in case). They worked tirelessly to get all 6 bridesmaids and 2 mothers hair done but also ended up doing the make-up for all of us as well since the makeup artist canceled at the last minute. Everyone was incredibly pleased with the outcome. Outstanding customer service and the best hair and makeup ever! We would all recommend Fran and her team!!

For our wedding in November, we had the pleasure of working with the team at Artistic Hair and Makeup. The whole team spent the day with my bridesmaids and I at our venue Casa Lantana in Brandon, Florida. The experience was everything I had ever dreamed of. They flawlessly worked on our hair and makeup throughout the day for each one of us. They spent time with each of my bridesmaids and mother of the bride and groom to customize a hairstyle and makeup look that was best suited for each one of them. Throughout the process from booking to the trial session to the day of the wedding, Fran was fabulous to work with. She was easy to get a hold of and made sure to follow up to make sure all my wants and needs were met. I would absolutely use their services in the future and hope to refer their services to any future brides looking for outstanding hair and makeup for their special day.

Great hair and makeup done for my wedding! Kept getting compliments all night and even the next day on how well my girls and I looked! Only thing is even if a girls hair is slightly damp they will blow dry the girls hair and charge you for it. But other than that they were GREAT!

Excellent personalized service! Fran will help create whatever hair you want and is flexible with pictures etc you send her way. I recommend doing the trial, it's VERY helpful to really see what you want for the wedding day. I loved my makeup girl and she was equally accommodating and flexible with me and my bridesmaids makeup on the big day.
