Amazing customer service and quality
We've used Artifact Uprising for both our elopement photo album (Wedding Layflat Photo Album) and our holiday card this year. The quality of the album is amazing and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of our cards. Kate from the design team made all this possible by thoughtfully and skillfully designing both our beautiful album AND the holiday cards. She consistently goes above and beyond and I'm so thankful for her kindness and willingness to help. -

Beautiful Quality and Incredible Service
We just received our wedding guest book and let me tell you, it looked exactly as gorgeous as advertised. Well worth the cost for something we will cherish for years. Every photo is high resolution, colors are vibrant, pages are sturdy, and spreads were all 100% correct. It did initially arrive with a little damage on the cover, but their customer service team responded to us immediately and set us up with a reprint the very same day. I’m blown away by how helpful they were (Tina, you rock) and I’ll be ordering from here again in the future. Thanks for making our wedding album perfect! -

genuinely so impressed
I very rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience was so pleasant and helpful that I wanted to say something! The customer service I experienced was so top notch and the photobook itself is GORGEOUS. It feels very high quality and it was the perfect medium for guests to write on. The pages are thick and matte and hold ink beautifully. Will totally order from artifact uprising for projects in the future. -

Gorgeous Layflat Album
Honestly, we didn't know what to expect when we went with Artifact Uprising and the layflat photo album, but I can honestly say that they blew our socks off and the online photos do not do the end product enough justice. The album is beautiful and very high quality. The layflat option allowed us to put some 24x12 prints that looked like a picture on a single page. They are well worth it!
Side note: We've had experience with their customer service team and they bend over backwards to make customers happy. Between the quality of the album and the quality of the service, you can't find a better option for a wedding/parent albums. -

Loved our Save the Dates
We were so happy with our Save the Dates! The paper quality was beautiful, and the photo printed true-to-color, which seems to be a rarity. We just ordered our Christmas cards from here and prints from our wedding day for our family. I'm going to be a customer for life. -

We love our guest book! The Artifact Uprising interface made it very easy for us to give our album a personalized touch. When our guest book was delivered, there was a very small error. We got in touch with Artifact Uprising and they quickly corrected the error and sent us a new book. We highly recommend to other couples! -

I have heard of photographers charging hundreds to thousands of dollars for a wedding album to be a part of the package. I used Artifact Uprising to make my own wedding album and IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND EVERY MINUTE OF EFFORT.
I was able to choose every picture, every page layout. I was able to tell my wedding day story through pictures exactly the way I wanted to! I loved loved loved the experience creating the album and then it arrived...... Even more then I could have imagined!!! The quality is spectacular! The package arrived more beautifully then I expected.
The website allows you to save your project in case you want to order another one. You don't lose your work!! My mother already asked for her own copy! I would use Artifact Uprising again and again! -

I did my thank you cards and first year Christmas cards with them and LOVED how they turned out! Got tons of compliments, so simple and classy. I also created the layflat photo album for our wedding photos and loved every single second of that! The staff was amazing to work with and very professional. I was sent the wrong color and they immediately responded to my email and fixed the error. I seriously love this company! Use them! -

Stunning Photo Books!
Absolutely stunning picture books. I ordered the lay flat photo book to create my wedding album and two smaller hardcover photo books for our moms for mothers day.
Quality is beyond what I expected, absolutely beautiful quality and prints. It is elegant and just a perfect keepsake for any occasion.
Customer service, is unmatched. They are quick to respond to questions and provide great support. After receiving my photo book, I noticed a slight rip on the centre page. They immediately got back to me and had already sent a request over to reprint another album. Just superb service all around.
The creation of my albums were so easy and very user-friendly. A well thought out interface, that is simple, elegant and very quick and easy to use.
Service was quick, I live in Canada, and I got delivery notices at every step of the way. It came in less than two weeks.
The only negative I see is the price of the items and shipping charges etc. However, for certain memories I don't mind paying a marked up price for quality, service and knowing they back their products.
I cannot recommend this company enough, I was happily blown away by their products and I can't wait to continue to buy products from them in the future. I have already told all my friends about this amazing organization! -

The Perfect Wedding Guest Book
We used Artifact Uprising to create our wedding guest book using our professional engagement photos. Online formatting was easy to use and the intermediate proofing step ensured everything appeared exactly as it was supposed to. The book we received is high quality with thick pages that, as promised, lay flat so that guests may write on both sides without any difficulty. The printing was exceptional and our photographer complimented the final product when he saw it on our wedding day. It's the perfect keepsake containing all our guests' well wishes! -

Quality Guest Book
The guest book that we ordered from Artifact Uprising was of quality cardstock paper in which the pictures printed well. We would recommend placing a sign with the guest book as most guests were hesitant to sign it because it was so beautiful. -

Poor quality photo printing with no quality control
I would recommend NOT ordering photo cards from this company. They printed our image noticeably uncentered, and when we requested reprints, they were still off-centered. For the price, you would expect much better quality control. The quality of the image is also quite poor. -

Horrible Customer Service
I have ordered over 7 albums from this company. When I ordered my wedding album it turned out stunning. I went to order another wedding album for my mom, but their website was giving me errors and wouldn't let me checkout. I reached out to customer service and for a week and a half they kept telling me they will fix the problem or will order it on their end, and it still has not been resolved. They pushed me to the back burner and didn't try helping to get my photo album ordered even when the issue was on their end with their website. The albums I have ordered did turn out beautiful but unfortunately the customer service is horrible. -

Poor vender experience.
They don’t tell you that your photos time out and the books you’ve created can not be ordered or reordered. I was unable to reorder a book I created nor a book I created in 2021.
Supposedly the pictures remain for three years. Nope. I did buy one book it cost $575.00 not worth the price. -

Low Quality
Do not waste your time and money on this company. I spent hours curating what I thought would be beautiful photo books. They arrived and the photos are dark, blurry, and have gridlines in the background. I know the problem is not the photos, I have printed them at CVS with no issues and they are high res images from the photographer. -

Terrible quality control; avoid
Do not order from this company. I've now received two photo books with misaligned/crooked printing. They sent a replacement but it had exactly the same issues as the original. They are now asking that I send back both books (which cannot be resold and will be thrown out) before they will provide a refund. Incredible waste of energy and money. -

Service at Artifact Uprising
I’ve had a very difficult time getting a resolution to a problem. It turns out that their customer service group is so small that they do not handle phone calls and appear to be overwhelmed with emails. I’ve interfaced with an associate as well as the customer service manager and am still awaiting a resolution ☹️ I would urge this audience to consider other options for photo printing!!! -

Shocking service, they only have email support and they just come back with awful generic responses not helping progress to an actually answer or solution. Such a shame too because their products are beautiful, but just don’t expect actual responses from their robot-like customer service team. -

HORRIFIC customer service, BEAUTIFUL books!
I'm SO sad!! I have been OBSESSED with Artifact Uprising for YEARS and i finally had my chance to order an album of my wedding as a Christmas present for my Mother in Law that lives out of the country. I paid for expedited shipping and the book came in with our names cut off of the cover.... I'll spare you all the details, but you can't reach a live person on the phone, and 2 days later when Tina replied to my email it all went down hill from there.... they will not give me a discount and won't get me the replacement cover in time to take my gift to my mother in law... I asked SO many times for her to make the situation right and begged her not to lose a customer and it didn't matter - i got rude, dismissive and condescending responses each time. you would think for such expensive books they would be willing to bend over backwards for their customers, but sadly they act like their customers are disposable. I have recommended them to SO many friends, but that will not be happening anymore. I'm SO sad - i was going to order my wedding album from them too, but that will not be happening anymore. -

Very unsatisfied with the customers service and unwillingness to make things right with their customers when THEY make mistakes.
I first want to preface by saying that I never write reviews. However, this absolutely awful experience deserves one from me!! I chose to use this company to order my wedding photo book album, an album for both sets of parents, an album of our honeymoon photos, a Christmas ornament, and Christmas cards – in 2 separate orders (wouldn’t have placed the second one if I would’ve received the first order before I ordered more products).
The Christmas ornament came first and everything was fine. I paid extra for our wedding and honeymoon albums to arrive before a certain day, and had to reach out to them when it didn’t (they refunded for the shipping, which was nice) and received it way late. I was beyond excited to look through my 60-page wedding album when it finally arrived! Our wedding album only had HALF of the pages in it…yes, half. After page 30, there were no more pages. I reached out to the company and they only allowed me to get a refund (at first they only offered 50% refund until I pushed for full) on the book or to reorder at regular cost!! The least that they could do for their mistake would be to send a corrected book, but nope!
Then came the books for our parents. One of them was fine, but the other had a hole on the front side of the spine. The shipping box was not damaged at all, so the hole had to be there before it was put in the box. THEN my Christmas cards came in cut uncentered (I went back and checked that I didn’t make the mistake when ordering) AND the return address that I had printed on all of the envelopes said “undefined” where the state should be…so I couldn't use those. Once again, even after all of my trouble, they still only offered me a refund or to reorder.
In total, there were 24 messages back and forth with the company throughout all of these issues. The most frustrating experience and unsympathetic support I’ve ever dealt with. A simple quality check assurance would’ve done wonders for my orders.-

If you have invested in a good photographer, invest in a better printer
I am a professional photographer who has printed photo books with many different printers, and decided to try Artifact Uprising for the first time. When I received my photobook, I couldn't believe how terrible the print quality was - the photos were muddy and MUCH darker than the images - to me, the book is embarrassing and unusable. UA only offered me a 50% refund (I would have happily sent the product back for a full refund) and said, verbatim: "Often, we have to edit for the difference in how images transfer from a screen to print since the screen is backlit and the print is not. For most of our products, we do what is called “press printing”. This is different from a traditional photographic print in that it is a series of tiny dots which may make the photo appear less sharp than a traditional photographic print." 1) As a photographer knows, a good print company will not "EDIT" your images for printing (a photographer will already be making editing choices that account for screen backlighting). 2) Why advertise your company as a luxury print option if you are going to choose a print method that is less sharper and not true to the image?
Poor quality product, poor customer service. Will never use again. -

Ruined photos
Due to an admitted error on their website, we reviewed photo prints that were severely cropped and unusable. We had to use another vendor in order to get them done right. They only offered a partial refund, and tried to lay the blame on me and my wife. It led to extra undue stress during our wedding planning. -

Unprofessional, unorganized, and cost me so much time. And money!
I used the design services to make a year review of my family photos from 2019. This is the third design service I've used and it was utterly disappointing. The first round was a waste because the service used to upload the photos lost exif/metadata info when the designer downloaded the photos, so my designer couldn't put them in chronological order. I then had to literally mark all the photos she had chosen using comments to try to put them in order, costing me much time because AUs services lost pretty vital data. After the second round of revisions I realized how badly this was truly going and I asked for a refund, but I was denied. It was also after the second (of the allotted three, so the penultimate) round that my designer 'noticed' that I had a favorite album (uploaded according to the instructions they had sent but apparently then ignored), so all my favorite photos would only be considered in the third and final round of designing. I found the layouts to be unoptimised for a photo album with wide margins on many of them, almost no layflat images spanning the binding, and it cost me so much time to consistently put things in order that I would have preferred doing it myself. I paid money to have someone else save me time, and instead it cost me more time than it would have had I made it myself. My goal was to spend money to save time, and instead I spent money to spend time. I think this service has a long way to come. -

Do not place your business with them
This was my first and last order with Artifact Uprising.
I placed this order solely because the website guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve if ordered before the stated deadline. That guarantee was the only reason I purchased this item. Had I known it would arrive after Christmas, I would never have ordered it.
I proactively contacted customer service on 12/17 and 12/18 to confirm the delivery timeline and received nothing more than one-line responses assuring me the ETA was unchanged. On 12/22, after still receiving no tracking number, I was initially told my order would be expedited to ensure timely delivery. Later that same day, I was informed the exact opposite—that the order was delayed and had missed the last shipping pickup due to production issues.
Despite being told the order was being expedited, the delivery estimate shifted from 12/24 to 12/29. A Christmas gift that arrives after Christmas is not a Christmas gift. My parents are leaving, and I won’t even be able to give them the present I specifically ordered for this occasion.
Refunding shipping or offering a promo code is meaningless when the value of the purchase depended entirely on receiving it on time. This feels like deceptive advertising—promising holiday delivery, offering reassurance when asked directly, then quietly missing the deadline and walking it back after the fact.
If you are ordering a time-sensitive or meaningful gift, do not trust Artifact Uprising’s deadlines or customer service assurances. This experience completely ruined what was meant to be a meaningful Christmas present -

Bait and Switch
Too whom it may concern, I would like to provide a timeline and some insight with details of my own experience to help others avoid falling victim to the slimy business practices of Artifact Uprising (AU). My husband and I recently got married and with the upcoming holidays it was a no brainer for us to create wedding photo albums as gifts for our parents. We ultimately decided to use AU to design, print, and purchase these albums.
We first started with designing my husbands parents album since we needed this one earlier for hunnakuh. After about 2 hours invested in AU’s website’s design portal we were ready to purchase. I choose to manually place/design the entire album rather than use the auto feature or AUs design services. Once we reached the point where you select shipping we decided to upgrade it to expedited as we were doing our gift exchange on December 15th. The promised window was Dec 15-18th, but we were really hoping it would work out for the 15th. We were already paying $40.99 for the expedited shipping and the next step up to rush shipping was a massive monetary increase of $70 to rush. For reference, Im including these details of order #1 because there are important milestones/details leading up to order #2.
As I mentioned above we were making albums for both sets of parents. I then spent about the same amount of time designing another album for my parents (we tailored each album specifically to each set of parents), this one we needed in time for Christmas. I had this one ready to go and purchased on December 9th. Keep in mind AU had been sending countless emails and advertisements that December 14th was the cutoff date for orders with standard shipping to make it for Christmas. The promised delivery window on this order was Dec 19-21. Plenty of wiggle room to make it in time so I kept the standard shipping option. At this point we had spent over $600 at AU. Not an insignificant sum but worth it for such a special gift for our parents who put their hearts and souls into making sure our wedding was perfect.
The week of when we were expecting order #1 to ship, probably around Dec 13/14th, I was checking the order status for album #1 online from my AU account and noticed that they had a message saying something along the lines of:
“we are running behind schedule for production of our layflat albums, we are upgrading shipping where necessary to complete orders in the quoted shipping window. Orders will still arrive in time for Christmas.”
I don’t have an exact screenshot of the message unfortunately and AU has since taken it down but the above is the messaging we were given to the best of my memory.
We ended up getting a shipping notification for album #1 on December 15th which arrived on the 18th, the last day of the quoted shipping window. They technically did get the album on time, my one complaint here is that the company clearly didn’t care about any other holidays other than Christmas based on the messaging. Again, details of album #1 are important for the greater story being shared here. At this point I was still trusting that they would deliver album #2 in the time frame promised, since they had delivered thus far.
December 14th (the economy shipping cut off for delivery in time for Christmas) comes and goes. AU then started sending emails stating that they are offering free upgraded shipping (at economy rates) for anyone who places an order by December 15th, again the messaging is that the orders will still arrive in time for Christmas. They end up extending this offer for a few more days with the deadline finally expiring on Demeber 17th. I have all email advertisements as proof of this.
On Demeber 18th AU starts sending emails to customers stating that Dec 18 is the cut off for orders placed with rush shipping (~$70 for the shipping upgrade, customer pays this fee) to still arrive on time for christmas. On December 19th, they send another email stating the Rush shipping deadline was extended to the end of the day on the 19th. Keep in mind the same messaging regarding delays in order production but still promising delivery by Christmas was showing up in my account during all of these above described extended deadlines. Given all of these offers, I still had full confidence that my order would be completed on time.
December 21st comes and goes (Dec 21 was the end of the quoted shipping window for order #2). My account says the order for album #2 is still in production. The funny thing is that the message about making it in time for Christmas in my account had disappeared at this point. I can’t be 100% certain when AU pulled this but at this point it was gone. This was the first point I started to really be worried about the order arriving on time. From here, I spent almost the entirety of Dec 21 and Dec 22 refreshing my account/email/trying to contact the company for answers. This is when I first noticed that there is no phone number to contact them at. There is a portal where you can submit a message. It does not give you the direct email address, there is no way to directly contact them outside of their message request portal. Talk about a red flag.
At 11:13pm (EST) on December 22nd, I was finally contacted by AU via email. Since it was sent so late and I had already gone to bed, I did not see the email until around 9am on December 23rd. In summary, the email stated that my order would not make it for December 25. I was offered a refund of $15 to cover the shipping costs I had paid (it was an AU production issue, not a shipping carrier issue so this is an interesting move), I was given a printable PDF to inform my gift recipient it was coming (printable in full color at users printing expense), and offered a 25$ coupon code to go buy more stuff from AU expiring on 12/31/23.
This email was a slap in the face considering we had spent almost $650 with the company so far and I had absolutely nothing for my parents to open on Christmas Day since we had ordered this as one big join gift. I responded back to the email that morning letting AU know of my disapointment and how upsetting recieving this the day before Christmas was. I felt that they knew they wouldn’t be able to fulfill the orders given the messaging received and they waited till the 9th hour to let their customers know, leaving their customers with almost zero time to execute a back up plan.
I then went out to scramble to find gifts for my parents so we had something for them to open on Christmas morning. I spent $100s of dollars more than originally budgeted for Christmas doing this. I had the added stress of coming up with meaningful gifts on the fly, the stress of navigating the last minute Christmas shopping frenzy, and the stress of wondering if AU ever intended on fulfilling my order.
At 5:15pm (EST) on December 23rd I heard back from an employee named Roy Garner via email. Below a direct copy/paste from that email:
“Your order has been upgraded to overnight shipping and is currently at dispatch. Once dispatched, you'll receive an email containing the tracking information. Should it not appear in your Inbox, kindly check your Spam or Promotions folder.”
At this point, I thought that Roy had pulled through to get my order out the door on the 23rd for overnight shipment arriving on December 24th. I would also like to mention that Roy offered me back a 50% refund of my purchase price for order #2. Which I did thank him for. I also replied to clarify on the shipping timeline since I did not have an sort of shipping notification in my email, or spam box, and my AU online account still said the order was “in production”. It is now December 26th, I have received no shipping notification, the album obviously did not come or I wouldn’t be writing this, and Roy has yet to respond to me. At this point, if the order does get shipped, we will miss the magic of seeing my parents open and experience such a special album from a really important event in our life in person. And this is something that AU can never give back to us.
I know what AU is doing. They wanted to hit a certain sales quota for 2023 which is why they pushed all the shipping deadlines out to swindle more customers into placing orders when they couldn’t fullfill what they already had. AU then pushed through all the rush shipping orders so that they could look like the hero to the economy shipping folks and only reimburse $15 rather than the much higher $70 rush shipping price for those customers. They sent a $25 coupon code expiring on 12/31/23 which is more evidence to the theory that they are just using slimy sales tactics to reach 2023 Sales quota goals. If you look at the comments on several of their social media posts you will see customer after customer with the same exact issues I described above. If you go on Better Business Bureau (BBB) you will find more such complaints along with a D- business rating which is no surprise at this point.
This is bait and switch which is an illegal business practice. “Bait and switch” advertising is grounds for an action of common-law fraud, unjust enrichment, and sometimes breach of contract. A “bait and switch” is also a violation of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.
The deception of this company is apparent in the evidence shared above and I’m sure this is barely scratching the surface of the issues at AU.
At this point in time, the only credit I see on my credit card statement is for $14.99 (shipping cost). I have yet to see the 50% back promised by Roy on December 23rd hit my account.
If you have read this far, I thank you for your attention. My hope by putting this out there is to help other consumers avoid the slimy and deceptive practices and services provided by Artifact Uprising. Below is the summarized timeline of events for clarity.

Think Twice About Using This Company - Quality Assurance is Horrible
My photographer used this company to design and print a 1st birthday photo book for my daughter. I paid them an extremely high price to print the book. After a mistake on the album cover on the first book, they printed it again and charged me a discounted rate. The second book was the same as the first with the exact same errors. They then shipped a 3rd book which somehow had glue on a couple pages causing them to stick together and rip. The 4th book that arrived was finally ok. This company prides themselves on quality and producing high end products. This was the worst company I have ever worked with. No attention to detail, no quality assurance, horrible customer service and no money back after hundreds of dollars were spent. I should have received this book for free after the terrible ordeal and stress they caused my family. DO NOT USE THEM. -

Zero Customer Service
I don’t recommend using this company. If you have any problems, questions, or changes about your order, theres zero customer service available. The only way to contact them is through an automated submission form on their website and no one responds. Ever. -

False promises and unresponsive customer service
I paid over $400 for a wedding photo book and have yet to receive it, despite being promised it would arrive by Christmas. Not only are their website's guarantees clearly not attainable, but their customer service is a complete letdown. Ignoring emails and making customers feel unimportant defeats the purpose of stating that we are a top priority, and I find it completely inexcusable. There is no way to reach them via phone and they've been unresponsive to multiple emails. I would NOT recommend this vendor. -

Read all of the reviews. Including fb. Do not use
Tried using them for the first time. Never had issues with MITND or Zazzle and they both have contact information and you can call them. This company claims they have a small team that works remotely and outsource the printing - OK then outsource some phone service. I was about to send my wedding thank you cards which I paid $150 from them for, and noticed they literally sent me SOMEONE ELSE'S addressed envelopes. So now I literally cannot send my thank yous - and they have no phone number!!!! -

Avoid this scam of a company
Avoid this scam of a company. Terrible customer service that will leave you baffled, incredibly overpriced and above all - low quality. The lack of professionalism is unheard of.
When I ordered my photo book I had it shipped to Sweden, and had to pay import tax and a customs fee - which was to be expected. Once I was looking through it I noticed that the images - that looked very crisp and sharp when assembling the book through their website - were now low resolution, muddy, had awful colors, and an unflattering glittery sheen over them. I contacted customer service and, working in photography, I suggested that maybe I should upload the images in a different file format, because maybe the fault was on my end. My offer was flat out ignored, and they immediately sent me a new book (which I didn't ask for) that I had to pay an import tax and customs fee for - again. Looking at the second book, it looked just as bad. I contacted customer service yet again - pointing out that I don't understand why the images were of such low resolution. This is when they finally admitted that they use "press printing" - a method of producing images using many small dots, instead of the traditional photographic print. According to their own customer service, this produces images of lower resolution and sharpness compared to photographic printing. I wrote customer service yet again, saying that I want a refund. The product in hand had intentionally been made with lower resolution and quality and was not up to par with what was presented on their website. It was far from the product that I wanted. I was offered a 100% credit to be put toward ordering new products from them which I obviously don't want to do, or a 50% refund. I demanded a full refund and stated several good reasons as to why this would be reasonable. That's when their customer service stopped replying. I wrote them again a month later asking if they had come to a decision - and they didn't reply. I wrote them yet again a few weeks ago - no one has replied. So, I guess this companys idea of customer service is to ignore unhappy paying customers until they go away. The irony of their slogan being "You'll love it - guaranteed" when I absolutely hate it.. -

Bad Services, Scammy Behavior, Unfulfilled Promises
This company offers extremely overpriced wedding albums and their designs services are crap. They lock you in with an upfront fee then provide poor design services and nickle and dime you the entire time. The design services are slow to get back with your requested edits which will inevitably make your book late to arrive even though they are aware of your deadline from the beginning. You have to provide so many requested edits and narrow the photos down yourself to only the few they will use. It's so much work you might as well do it yourself. Even if you buy more than 1 book of the same design they still charge the same overpriced amount for the book. And at the end they even charge $40 for the cheapest shipping option, even though there is NO WAY it costs that much to ship a wedding album. Do not use this service. -

Will not help / waste of money
I ordered a $350+ wedding book for my husband for Christmas this year. I noticed that the proofs on the website did not match the order of the proofs in the pdf reference they emailed me. I emailed Shannon (customer support) 6+ times the day after placing the order, letting her know that there is a difference between the order of photos in the pdf proof and their website. After 5 emails, she responded merely “your order is correct. Does that help?” To which I again numerous times responded that it does not match.
Today I was shipped an incorrect $350+ gift book just as I suspected. I emailed multiple times to help clarify this however only 1 meager completely unhelpful response. I wouldn’t waste your money here. They have no respect for their customers. Take your money elsewhere. -
