Beautiful Chamber Music on a Beautiful Evening

The Art-Strings Quartet played for the cocktail hour of our daughter's outdoor wedding reception in Westchester County, New York. Among our family and friends are many musicians and classical music lovers, so we wanted both amazing playing and a program that was a little different from the usual wedding fare. Alex and his group of superb musicians played Bach, Handel, opera themes, Piazzola, Gershwin, Joplin, Elgar, Grieg, and more, without even having to think about it. The guests couldn't stop talking about the wonderful music.

Beautiful Strings

If you want to make your event super classy, i would tell you to pick Art Strings Ensembles. Alex and his team are brilliant musicians and can literally plan anything. We went from cold play to the game of thrones theme music. It was all so brilliant. Prior to our ceremony, they were very helpful. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an elegant evening.

Amazing experience!

We hired Art Strings Ensemble for our wedding on September 28th. Alexander was great to work with -- highly professional, responsive, and flexible. On the day of our wedding, the quartet arrived on time, set up, and played beautiful music throughout out ceremony and cocktail hour. Art Strings is great! Highly recommend.

Amazing ceremony and cocktail hour music!

My husband and I knew that we wanted live musicians for our ceremony once we heard a sample of Art Strings music we knew they were the ones! We had a string quartet. We listened to some of their more modern covers and they were so good that we also had to have them for our cocktail hour.

Perfect addition to our wedding!

Alex and his team were true professionals who played beautifully during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Although they have an extensive repertoire, they learned three new pieces for our ceremony, which made the evening even more memorable. Our guests loved the quartet and complimented their musical ability. We would ABSOLUTELY recommend Art-Strings Ensemble!

Seamless, easy , transparent , professional , wonderful value

Artstrings were wonderful . Our guests could not stop raving and the atmosphere provided was spectacular. Our daughter’s musical choices were honored and played beautifully. My only regret was we could not hear the entire performance because we walked the bride down the aisle and entered the chapel after much of the music was played , but the video was great ! I recommend highly and will use them again at our next wedding !

We used Art-Strings Ensembles for our July 2018 wedding in Huntington, NY. They were easily one of our favorite parts of our wedding day. Our guests really enjoyed the music during our ceremony and cocktail hour too. Alexander was very easy to work with and quickly replied to all communication. They can play essentially anything you request! Their rates are completely fair. We highly recommend booking Art-Strings Ensembles for your wedding!!

I insisted that my daughter had Art Strings Ensemble play at my daughter’s wedding . She wanted a jazz casual theme . My daughter was very happy that I made this decision . In reflection of her day our family all chime in on how beautiful the String Quartet played . They truly were amazing .
We had selected a few classic pieces along with contemporary music . Alex and his musicians were exceptional. Seriously the group was one of the highlights of our evening .

I would recommend Art Strings in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a highly qualified and unique string quartet for their wedding. Alexander was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process - always eager to provide helpful suggestions and he was very responsive to emails. He helped guide me through potential songs for the ceremony and listened to my pop song ideas for cocktail hour. They were truly excellent during the ceremony; my only regret is I was too busy socializing with my guests to fully enjoy their repertoire during cocktail hour although my guests were highly complimentary of their unique arrangements and infectious enthusiasm!

We couldn't be more pleased with Art Strings Ensembles. When they played Canon in D I'm pretty sure it took everyone's breath away. Everyone had so much fun listening to them during cocktail hour. They were a highlight of our wedding, they are so incredibly talented! I am so happy we found them and we hope to have the opportunity to hire them again in the future! My husband and I previewed Art Strings Ensembles' music on their website in advance and felt like they were really fantastic. We had a more formal wedding and both felt that the quality of the music was important to really set the tone for the ceremony. These guys were amazing! Super professional and very experienced. My husband and I hired Art-Strings to play music for our wedding ceremony and dinner reception on June 21st this year. Each musician is amazingly talented! The music was spectacular! It was everything we had hoped for AND MORE! Alex is a true professional and was wonderful to work with. Never did I worry about the musical aspect of my wedding day (which is so important when you are planning the wedding by yourself). I knew early on that I was in great hands. Alex and I exchanged numerous emails to discuss details. I was able to customize my music list and even requested specific songs that were not in their repertoire. Alex happily agreed to learn the music and on my wedding day, the quartet knocked it out of the park! They were phenomenal! They arrived early to my difficult-to-find venue in Central Park and were well-organized. Their music is like none other! The praise and compliments we received about hiring Art-Strings never ended! Even today, more than a month later, guests still shower us with compliments on having hired Art-Strings. Each member in the quartet is clearly passionate about what he does and it shows in the group’s performance. Everyone especially loved the duet of Sweet Child of Mine! I really hope someone captured that on video! The music, the energy, everything was all so perfect! Art-Strings are true musicians and genuinely good people! I could not have asked for a better group of musicians to share my wedding day with! Thank you Art-Strings for making my day that much more special and memorable!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Art-Strings Ensembles! There were two things that I always envisioned for my dream wedding, an outdoor ceremony and strings playing live during the ceremony. I contacted Alexander to coordinate their services and hired a strings trio with two violins and a cello. They were so easy to work with via email and Alexander can give you suggestions on the music selection if you ask him for his advice. On the day of our wedding they showed up dressed in tuxedos on time, set up without any issue and played lovely music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. As purists we selected Canon in D for our processional, and for our recessional they played Coldplay's Viva la Vida. They were spot on with their timing and created such an elegant ambience for our wedding. No hidden fees, no hassle, no complaints. Highly recommend them!

Art-Strings Ensembles were just wonderful! Very responsive and flexible with time and music. They were very professional and showed up in matching tuxes, were on time and even moved about throughout their performance due to our indoor/outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour. I loved that they had a lot of contemporary options and most importantly everything was straightforward, no hidden fees or unexpected surprises.

If you want that something extra for your wedding, a way to make your event that much more special I HIGHLY recommend them. You will not be disappointed!

I had Art-Strings Ensembles for my ceremony and cocktail hour. From the beginning Alex was very professional and responded every single one of my emails right away. He made the whole process easy and sterss free.
First, I recommend to have a string quarter at your wedding and I most definately recomment Art-Strings Ensembles. They were very talented and outstadning. I had a special request for them to play Muse- Starlight during my vows and they did, I cried when I heard the song.
They made the wedding and everyone can't stop talking about how amazing they were and how much of a special touch it added to my wedding ceremony.
I highly recommend them. It was ont the best decisions I made

The music was beautiful. We made a request to play a song with our DJ simultaneously and with very little pre-ceremony coordination, Art-Strings made it happen smoothly. Alexander was a pleasure to work with and his group of musicians were excellent. We received quite a few compliments on having them do our ceremony (exclusively), and our reception (with our DJ simultaneously). Fantastic job.

Art Strings provided the music during my garden ceremony. Alex was great and responsive through the whole process. On the wedding day they performed flawlessly and even stayed later then the contracted amount of time because all of my guests decided to show up a half an hour after the scheduled start time. They didn't even ask for an additional payment (which i didn't realize until after the wedding, since I was so caught up in the day!) Everyone was raving about them and they provided the perfect ambiance to my garden wedding! Thank you guys so much for making my day amazing!

Alexander and the Art-Strings Ensembles played at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and they were absolutely phenomenal!!! We received many compliments on their music, and everyone that we spoke to agreed they are incredibly talented!

One reason, that stands out in particular, that we were so glad to have the Art-Strings play at our wedding was that they saved the day when our limo driver got lost. When I got a phone call from our limo driver and realized that our ceremony would be significantly delayed, the only reason I didn’t completely panic was because I knew that the Art-Strings would be at our church and that they would treat our guests to a beautiful concert while they waited – which they did, and our guests are still talking about how amazing the music was!

Alexander was by far one of my favorite wedding vendors to work with, he was very professional, responded immediately to my many questions and e-mails, and made the process of planning for our wedding ceremony music extremely easy. The musicians were very professional. Despite some last minute changes to our ceremony program they adapted flawlessly on the spot. Moreover, they accommodated all of our requests and played the bridal processional exactly the way I had requested!

Extremely talented group of musicians. Very professional, followed up with me to make sure they had all the information they needed without me having to chase them, learned a new song for my processional and managed to make it sound amazing using only a string duet. Al of my guests were impressed with the quality of the ceremony music. Alexander, the group leader, is very easy to deal with and accomodating. I would highly recommend Art-Strings and hope to have a chance to hear them again sometime soon!

We had our wedding on May 1st, 2011, and we had an amazing experience with Alexander and his team. We had their quartet for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and had string with piano for the entire reception. The music throughout the wedding was so romantic and beautiful and impressive! We felt extremely lucky to have them in our wedding, because their music amazed all my guests, and they are extremely professional and friendly and very easy to work with. A lot of my guests comlimented our music after the wedding. My husband and I are so happy to have Alexander and Art-String and we highly recommend them for your upcoming wedding or event. I hope to work with them again in the near future.

Mr. Abayev was incredibly professional. He went out of his way to find and play the music I had requested. In addition he found a trumpet player who provided the perfect touch to Wynton Marsalis's version of Eternal Source of Light Devine. The quartet played beautifully. All of my wedding guests complimented their professionalism and talent.

I hired Art-Strings to play at my surprise proposal, and they did an absolutely perfect job! They were very accommodating, played beautifully, and helped to create an unforgettable experience. Once we set our wedding date, one of the first things I did was book them again for the wedding!

"Just wanted to thank Alexander and Art Strings for doing a great job at my wedding. The professionalism and performance was excellent. It was a pleasure working with Alexander to put together a setlist and he was accommodating to a special request. Absolute professionals! Alexander was so very helpful in choosing songs for the ceremony and was also wonderful in choosing the repetoire during the cocktail hour. My guests raved and we both were very happy with their service. I would recommend them to anyone and will most definitely use them again if the occasion ever calls for it!

I called several performers and I had a good feeling when I spoke to
Alexander from Art-Strings. He spent a long time speaking to me on the
phone about my options and I just felt comfortable with him. Every time
I called or emailed he was very quick to get back to me. The day of my
wedding I heard the music (harp & violin) as I was getting ready to walk
down the aisle and I became a little emotional because it sounded so
beautiful! There's something about 'Canon in D' being played live that
always gets me. Overall I would definitely recommend Art-Strings. They
were accommodating, reasonably priced, and sounded great!

Art Strings was extremely helpful and accommodating in performing music for our wedding ceremony. All of the music had to be from a specific selection, and needed to sound like the originals, and everything sounded even better than I could have imagined. Alexander's communication was excellent. There aren't words profound enough to describe how happy we are with Alex and Art-Strings. They exceeded our every expectation. The only regret we have is not hiring them for longer!!! We will absolutely recommend them to everyone. Our guests could not stop talking about not only how wonderful they sounded, but what an elegant and classy touch they provided. Alexander and Art-Strings were extremely easy to work with. I came to them based off a recommendation from a friend who used them for her wedding. We were so happy with their performance, their prompt and easy communication and their extreme professionalism. We had our wedding on Oct 10,2010 and felt so lucky to have Art-Strings to perform at our wedding. We can't thank Alexander enough to bring so many beautiful music to our wedding and everybody attended the wedding are highly appraised the musician as they noticed the differences.

First, Alex has been very cooperative and always quickly response to our questions and requests. He had been working very hard to answer our requests or accommodate our needs.

Second, since my wife and I are both from Asia, we had some different traditions to perform our own music at the wedding. I asked Alex if they can perform the music of our own in the wedding, and most important, to perform our own music as Bridal Processional Music. Alex said yes. We find score for him and needless to say, a little concerned, especially the music was oriented from piano. But when we received the sample of violin performance from Alex, we were so happy! The performance was just outstanding! Alex and his partner actually played 3 music that we chose from our own culture, that they probably never heard of, and their performance are all phenomenal.

The music at our wedding is one of our best memory and I am sure we will enjoy to watch our videos again and again with the background music played by Art-strings!

Alexander and his team are excellent musicians. They played during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He helped me in my music selection for the processional and recessional parts of the ceremony. Their music added that poignancy to our wedding.

Art Strings did an amazing job at both my ceremony and cocktail hour music! I had wanted to have a version of "All You need is Love" played for my recessional and they worked with me to make sure it was perfect. They sounded amazing in both venues and my guests were certainly 'wow'ed!

These guys are amazing!!! Our guests loved how they could seamlessly blend classical music with classic rock and pop music. They made our ceremony and cocktail hour so unique and customized to us, our guests are still talking about it!! I would 100% recommend them to anyone getting married!

Awesome Quartet!

I was hesitant to spend extra money on a string ensemble, but it was a wedding "extra" I dreamed about. I am so happy my husband and I chose Art-Strings to play at our wedding ceremony. They were amazing! Many of our guests complimented them as well. I wish we could have had them play longer. Alexander was vey helpful and was able to accommodate my song choices. I also love that they offer so many sample tracks on their website. I highly recommend Art-Strings. If you're hesitating, dont...book them!

HIGHLY recommend!!! By far the most talented string quartet for a wedding. These musicians are not just 'wedding musicians', they perform at venues such as Carnegie Hall. Their prices are not for the budget-conscious, but then again we hired them as a string quartet. For the quality and talent you receive, their packages are actually quite fair and comparable to other string quartets. We originally booked them just for the ceremony to try to save on the costs, but the more we listened to their sample music on their website and YouTube channel, the more we realized we loved everything in their repertoire. We ended up booking them for our cocktail hour as well and do not regret this decision at all. We were able to play classical music for our ceremony and more modern music during the cocktail hour. Our guests were impressed and surprised when they heard songs such as "Sweet Child of Mine". We are SO happy with the quality talent and professionalism of Art Strings, we wish we could have a cd/playlist of all the music used in our wedding!

I don’t recall how I found them, but I am so happy we hired string musicians for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I worked with Alec, who was a little slow on email but in the end, WOW! I cried just listening to them, they played Christina Perri A thousand Years, as I walked down the aisle and it was so moving. They played really fun recognizable songs during cocktail hour too, we got a ton of compliments about them!

Art-Strings was the best use of money at our entire wedding, period. We hired the string trio to play our ceremony, and upgraded to the quartet about a week before. Alexander, the head violinist and coordinator, was exceptional to work with. The musicians have outstanding training and a vast repertoire. They played 30 minutes of music as guests were seated. We chose mostly modern music for this part - our guests raved about hearing Coldplay and U2 on string instruments. Our ceremony music was traditional and flawless. We were hoping to hold the ceremony outdoors, but rain and cold weather forced us indoors. Art-Strings didn't blink an eye at the change. They arrived at the venue on time, set up without any fuss, and played perfectly (so I'm told...don't really know for sure, since I was holed up in the bridal suite).

The price ($250/musician) was typical for a string quartet in the area. No complaints there.

I gave a 4 for flexibility because the musicians refused to play outdoors if temperatures dropped below 60. If it hadn't rained anyway, we might have had issues holding the ceremony outdoors because of the cold.

But overall, this group is exceptional. So happy we hired them.

My wife and I had Art-Strings Ensembles play the cocktail hour at our wedding. We are very pleased that we chose them, because they turned out to be the big hit of the night. Our guests were very impressed by the talent level they displayed. They can be a bit pricey, but the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and Art-Strings are top quality. They offer a wide variety of arrangements, from two to five musicians, and their catalog of songs is unbelievable. I was fairly pleased with their responsiveness leading up to the wedding, except for one incident when I had to wait three days for a response to an e-mail I sent. Overall, if you can afford them, Art-Strings Ensembles are top notch musicians who will add something special to your day.

Elegant, all classical music played 20 minutes prior to our wedding ceremony and 10 minutes after the wedding ceremony. Guests loved the time-tested melodies of the famous composers. I took points off, however, because the quartet did not remain entirely quiet and reverent during the mass (shuffled music sheets, whispered to make sure they would start playing the right song at the end, make sure each guy knew the queue from the priest, etc). Would recommend, but maybe put them up on the balcony or farther way from the main alter.
