Best Officiant Ever!
We hired Richard to officiate our wedding last month, he did a terrific job at everything, let my little sister give a second prayer which was so special, and was quick! (everyone loved this part). We met him at a coffee shop before hiring him and got to know him better and were so happy with our decision. We are now friends and couldn't recommend him more! -

Richard was wonderful as our officiant
Richard was wonderful as our officiant. Would highly recommend. He is very responsive to email and is open to revising his standard script and including your own vows. Met him for coffee, went over the script and that was that. We knew we wanted to hire him. Easy peasy! He reached out several weeks before the wedding to make sure everything was ready to go. He is very experienced, friendly and helped make the ceremony stress-free. He is wonderful! -

Went above and beyond
Richard did such a fantastic job officiating our wedding! Our guests commented how they loved his speaking voice. Richard even met us for coffee before the ceremony to go over everything. He was always in responsive and professional through the entire process. I could not recommend him enough. -

Perfect officiant for our small ceremony
My husband and I recently got married and used JLK weddings elopement package. She immediately suggested Richard as her go to officiant. Working with Richard was wonderful and stress free. He has a standard script for a short ceremony that he reviews with the couple an any edits requested are made. He’s so professional and keeps the ceremony flowing perfectly and easy for the couple to just enjoy the moment while reciting vows and exchanging rings. I highly recommend Richard. -

Reliable and stressfree
Richard did everything he said he was going to do and was good at following up to ensure everything went as planned. His script is adjustable and he will also add in other stuff to it. We highly recommend. -

Richard was great!
Richard was a great addition to our wedding vendors. He did everything an officiant needed to do. He texted me a week before the wedding to confirm all details and told me when he would arrive. Though this is a small detail, it put me at ease, and i knew I had nothing to worry about the day of my wedding. -

A very nice man!
Richard makes sure to run the script by you multiple times to make sure you are okay with everything. We had a very short and sweet ceremony which was just what we wanted. No sermon trying to preach about marriage and religious beliefs. Just a bible verse and some common knowledge about things that make a marriage last. Would recommend him to anyone looking for an officiate! -

PERFECT officiant
We had a fantastic experience with Richard. He was flexible and answered every question I could think of! He let us have full control of what the ceremony would consist of (which I loved). We have had so many compliments on our ceremony. Richard is so friendly and interacted with our family and guests. Many of our family members came up to us afterwards and were so impressed how engaging he was! Overall perfect experience! -

Absolutely perfect
We were thrilled that Richard was available to officiate at our December 28 at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. From our first meeting with him at a local coffee shop to happily hugging him after the ceremony, our experience with him was calm and reassuring. He is caring, thoughtful, kind, and helpful. He's also an excellent listener, and we found it easy to work with him as we developed our own unique ceremony and vows. As a result and in retrospect, we loved our intimate ceremony and its meaning to us and our families and friends, and we would not have changed one single thing about it. It was absolutely perfect.

Richard Hudson
Richard was fantastic! Like probably a lot of people, my fiance and I didn't have anyone picked out to be our officiant for our wedding and we really had no idea where to find someone! A Google search lead me to Wedding Wire and that's where I found Richard. It's nerve wracking to say the least to just pick someone at random to speak during the most important moment of your life! But I had a good feeling about him, so we met up and knew he was the one! He was incredibly sweet and thoughtful and really wanted to make sure our wedding ceremony was exactly what we wanted. I actually found the ceremony script I wanted and he had no issue with using mine instead of his. He was super flexible, very prompt, and did a great job during the ceremony. No stand up comedy attempts, no attempts to steal the spotlight or put on a show, just a simple and to the point ceremony - just like we wanted. He even sent us a sweet gift, which was just above and beyond! If you're nervous about booking a wedding officiant online, have no fear, Richard will do great!! -

My husband and I graduated from the UA in 2013 and have lived in Dallas the last 4 years. When we got engaged, there was no question we would have our wedding in Fayetteville, but we quickly learned how difficult it can be to find and work with vendors when you don't live in the same town. Richard helped make our ceremony process so easy! He was quick to respond to our questions, completely open to our ideas on the wedding script, provided us valuable information and resources leading up to the wedding and made us feel so comfortable during the ceremony the day of. Richard was such an integral part of making our wedding day special and intimate! My husband and I were nervous about the idea of having an officiant we did not already know personally, but by wedding day we both considered Richard a friend. The thought of planning our wedding was very overwhelming. Especially the wheres, hows, and then the vows. Fortunately, my husband stumbled across Richard! If you are still contemplating and stressing about the ceremony, DONT. Email Richard. He literally produced the EASY button for the both of us. He is so nice and pleasant and reminds you that this is going to be your day. You are in charge. We actually got "officially" married a couple of months before our wedding for insurance reasons and he met us over our lunch breaks at a local coffeeshop (which I definitely recommend-

We met Richard some time ago when he was our neighbor so we were very happy to have someone perform our ceremony that we knew would do it with dignity and kindness. We liked the script he suggested. He was on time and very professional. It was just the three of us for our private ceremony but he made it feel very special. I feel sure he would be great for a large wedding as well. -

My husband and my wedding was planned very quickly. We only had about 1 month to plan it couldn't find an officiant that was willing to meet us at the location of the wedding, until i stumbled upon this website where we found Richard. He went above and beyond and was very professional. He was quick to get back to me with any questions we had, always responding to my emails the same day, usually within an hour! He wrote our entire wedding script, and was able to come up with exactly what we wanted. Incorporating our daughter into the ceremony, but also knowing that she gets shy at times, and doesn't always like the spotlight on her. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a wedding officiant. His son Jason did the photos for our wedding as well, and did an amazing job. They are a great team! -

Richard was amazing. We planned our elopement in about 3 weeks and we had no idea what we were doing. When it came down to finding an officiant, we didn't realize all that went into our ceremony even if we wrote our own vows. He took all of the stress out of the situation and sent us emails asking a ton of questions and sent me his script with our vows included and made us feel so much more relaxed! And we actually hired his son Jason Hudson as our photographer. They were both so caring and we were glad to have them there. Thank you!!! -

We found Richard when we were only about 2 months out from the wedding and starting to panic we wouldn't find the right officiant for us as a couple. Richard was great; he was early for both our rehearsal and ceremony and made sure our minds were at ease. He wrote out a beautiful script for our vows very quickly after we contacted him and made any changes we asked. He helped make the whole experience absolutely perfect. -

Could have done better
While Richard was great before the wedding and very responsive, the day of the ceremony went very differently. He seemed very unprepared and had not look at the script before the ceremony. It was extremely rushed and he left out key parts. He was not engaged and seemed like he had better places to be. He missed pronounced names and began taking before the bride had made it all the way down the aisle. After the ceremony he left without signing the certificate and we had to chase him down.
