If you're wanting a beach wedding, check out the public beach in Rockport, TX. http://www.rockportbeach-texas.com/ The venue is very affordable. We rented the Saltwater Pavilion for our daughter's wedding, and it is in a beautiful location. The people you deal with to rent the facility are great to work with. Our thanks to Kerry for the tremendous support, and to her and her team for setting up all the tables, grooming the beach, and giving us a wonderful, clean and beautiful spot to have the wedding. As we planned the event throughout the year, we felt such gratitude for all the vendors we worked with! We recommend Diane Loyd Photography, Aunt Sissy's Kitchen, Creations by Hope, Texas Sound Systems and Simply Sinful Bakery. We got the A Team - and they delivered a wonderful, perfect day!!If you're wanting a beach wedding, check out the public beach in Rockport, TX. http://www.rockportbeach-texas.com/ The venue is very affordable. My fiance(now husband) and I knew we wanted a beach wedding near Mustang Island (where he proposed) and after searching for budget-friendly options, we found Rockport Beach and its Pavilions! We worked with Kerry at the Navigation District to rent the Saltwater Pavilion (larger pavilion towards the end of the beach, facing Key Allegro) for two nights, for our Welcome Dinner and wedding reception. It's a great location for people who want to do a lot of the decor themselves.
The Navigation District handles all of the table/chair setup for the Pavilions (we used another vendor that I reviewed for outdoor beach setup). The beach is swept/combed every morning to ensure there's not an overgrowth of seaweed or anything else.
The beach was absolutely beautiful and not overrun with people, which you sometimes encounter with public beaches. The majority of our guests had never been to the area and were absolutely amazed with how pretty it was. It was absolutely amazing and I recommend it for anyone considering a beach wedding :-)My fiance(now husband) and I knew we wanted a beach wedding near Mustang Island (where he proposed) and after searching for budget-friendly options, we found Rockport Beach and its Pavilions!
