8-4-22 Flaherty wedding
We had a small ceremony at my sister in law’s house because my husband’s Mom was passing away from Cancer. I had messaged April a little while beforehand so she could write our vows and ring exchanges. April was very professional and understanding of our situation and helped us tremendously throughout the whole event. It couldn’t have gone smoother and more beautiful. We will always be so thankful for April. -

April was great to work with as a fellow vendor. Her ceremony was the short length the couple wanted, but packed in some teary moments and some laughs as well. She is relaxed and wants couples to feel as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend! -

April was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive and ready to officiate our wedding with one weeks notice. She truly made our day special. My wife and I wanted something simple, meaningful, and stress free for our intimate ceremony and April delivered! She helped us with everything from writing our vows to location recommendations and what she said during our ceremony was beautiful and kept us grounded in the moment and in our love.

My partner and I were looking for a small but special moment to do the legal part of our marriage ceremony. April's Short and Sweet ceremony service was EXACTLY what we wanted. She is absolutely amazing- so kind, thoughtful, and loving. She wrote the best ceremony script we could have asked for and was so communicative. She comes highly recommended by us, especially for LGBT+/same-sex couple pairings! If you're considering using her as your Justice of the Peace, I say go for it- you won't regret it! Our wedding ceremony was perfect thanks to April’s ability to personalize the script and make it unique. We wanted our ceremony to reflect us as a couple and it did just that. With little direction it was spot on and we received multiple compliments on our ceremony. Additionally, the keepsake marriage certificate is beautiful and unique, we love it! We would recommend April to anyone hoping to have a modern ceremony and officiant :) -

April was originally found through our wedding planner and was the first JP that we talked to. She was actually the only JP we talked to because once we finished our initial conversation was complete, both my now husband and I couldn’t have agreed more that we didn’t need to speak to anyone else! She is funny, kind, professional,

Not just to have found one another (Michael and I) but also so lucky to have April conduct our ceremony. She put in the time and efforts to hear more about our love story. She incorporated all the elements that brought us together into our ideal, short and perfect ceremony we were looking for. It can be hard to put into words exactly what we want to take from that moment when we say "I do," but she asked all the right questions and we discovered what was right for us. After exchanging haikus, I'll finish my review with one too: the beach at sunset/ water sandwiched rocks and vows/it was perfection (thanks April!).April Ward-Stanbrook, Justice of the Peace's reply:

April was the consummate professional. From ONE Skype meeting, she was able to put together a ceremony that, if you didn't know any better, you would have thought she knew us our whole lives!

We had a big wedding planned for October of 2020 and then COVID hit and we were forced to postpone until October of 2021. After a lot of thought we decided to keep the original 2020 date and hold a very small ceremony with our parents and Best Peoples. April was recommended to us from our wedding planner and she dove right in with very little time to prepare. She met us in Boston and was flexible as we tried to make the best of it. Her thoughtful words made the day one we and our parents will never forget. While we plan to have a big ceremony in 2021, the 2020 ceremony will always be special for its intimacy. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant for the day. -
