What makes April unique is her ability to bring out genuine smiles in the people she photographs. I loved my time with April during our photo shoot. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable.

April is truly passionate about photography, and this shows with her commitment capturing every moment on your wedding day, being incredibly open and communicative about the process, and being timely and professional at all times. The quality of her work ethic shows in her photos. She was a breeze to work with, and her beautiful photos speak for themselves. People are still talking about my wedding photos! I would use her again and again and will continue to recommend her!

One of a kind experience. April is so professional, easy going, and she has her way to make you feel comfortable through out the session. The pictures were amazing and we got them in speed time. I would do any photo shoot again with her any time.

In case that you want to know our story: My husband and I got married and our pictures were done by a very new student in photography. The pictures were extremely bad and we were very disappointed and upset. Later however, a friend of ours told us about April and her professional work. She said that April could do a photo shoot and that we would be impressed with the pictures. Fast forward, the photo shoot was done and, as I said, she made us feel amazing and super comfortable. It just flowed naturally. When we finally got to see the pictures, they were perfect!

The whole experience was truly a blessing.

April photographed our family of five this winter and we couldn't be happier! April was very sweet and amazing with the kids! We could tell that she truly loves her job and the impact she has on others. The image delivery was online, it was very simple and high quality. The thing we love the most about April is that she was able to capture each of our children's personalities in the images! Thanks again for everything April!!

April Maura is hands down one of the best photographers in the AZ valley. As a professional in the wedding industry, I have witnessed her work with couples on various occasions and am continuously impressed by her positive attitude, attention to detail and consideration of those around her. I have also had the opportunity to be on the other side of April's camera for a recent holiday photo shoot. I brought along my five-month old puppy and April was so flexible and easy-going even though we were dealing with an overly excited dog! I highly recommend April to any couple seeking a photographer for their event.

April is the sweetest most thoughtful person you will ever meet and work with! She has so much passion and love for what she does and it is showcased every time you speak to her! She was easily reached and responded quickly. And she is so organized!!! Having her so organized took so much stress off of me (the bride) that I was able to relax more and enjoy the planning process. Her pictures are amazing! She finds the best lighting and each pictures come out flawless! She also talks to you and has you and your significant other do interactive commutation exercises to create a more natural comfortable environment when she takes pictures. She was everything I could ever ask for and more in a wedding photographer! She's the best! Book her before she fills up!

My husband and I booked a mini session with April and I must admit that we were a little nervous. Neither my husband or I are very good at posed photos so only having 15 minutes to get at least one good image seemed a little chancy. Wow, were we wrong. April is truly gifted in her craft. She is able to make you feel so comfortable and knows exactly what to capture to best represent your love and joy. We had a wonderful time at our shoot and we're blown away by the moments April was able to help us save for a lifetime! We would highly recommend her :)

April Maura captured the most amazing memories for our 10 year vow renewal and was someone I would trust with such an important day again.

In the months leading up to the big day, April worked closely with us via email and FaceTime since we don't live in AZ, and she was thorough in understanding our vision and priorities. The day of our vow renewal she blew us away with her preparation and attentiveness. She was patient with last minute requests and was quick to make adjustments to capture the best memories.

April is incredibly talented, professional, fun and made our day even that much more special. Thank you, April!

My husband and I usually hate taking pictures, but April made it a super fun, easy, and romantic experience for us. We really enjoyed how she would set up each photo by asking us to think about a special moment or feeling we had for one another. It made the emotions in the pictures real, not forced, especially for people who don't like being in front of the lens.

Secret Garden Event Center has gotten to work with April at a wedding she photographed in March and a style shoot she did here in July! She has a heart filled with pure sweetness and an unbelievable talent! Her pictures are breath taking and ones we love to show off! We highly recommend her and her services!

It was truly a delight working with April! My husband and I have never had professional pictures taken of us so it was a new experience. Being a woman and having this deep desire to always feel pretty and contrarily to that desire always feeling a bit awkward in my self, April was able to encourage me throughout the shoot to smile and have fun. I no longer felt nervous with her easy encouragement and clear direction. I have never felt more free to be me while in front of a camera. When I saw the pictures myself I squealed in delight, loving how they turned out. They were everything I could have hoped for and best of all, I still looked like myself! I was perfectly beautiful in my own skin! No weird lighting effects to contour my face into something inhuman and not me. I was so thankful for all the hard work that April put into our shoot and the edit of the pictures. She was perfectly professional while reminding my husband and I why we got married in the first place. It was more than just a photo shoot, it was a time to celebrate our relationship and April made that possible!!!

April is extremely responsive and professional, which is great when it comes to a photographer. Many photographers I've worked with tend to be flakey and take a long to get back, but April blows that stereotype out of the water. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable taking pictures as she coached us in natural poses and we had fun in the process. April was the an absolute joy to work with which can be rare in dealing with wedding vendors. The exceptional quality of her work coupled with her ease to work with and genuine care for us as a couple made working with her not only stress-free but enjoyable. Most of my family was unable to attend my wedding because it was a destination wedding. Those that could not go told me that they felt like they were able to be apart of it "from a distance" by seeing April's photos. They said they could literally feel our emotion in the photos. That is amazing and we are so thankful for April. She did more than just photograph our day, but she did so in a way that my family was able to feel our emotion and be apart of it. We will cherish our photos and look upon them when we need to be reminded of our feelings of love-because we can SEE our emotion and joy through her photos. I HIGHLY recommend April and would do so all over again!

Working with April was such a lovely experience! She is so wonderful at what she does and definitely knows how to get the job done! I am one of those people who is generally uncomfortable in front of the camera and one of my biggest worries after getting engaged was having to take engagement photos! April has the sweetest demeanor but can command and guide you so smoothly with posing and she makes it so easy! Her cheerful comments and encouraging words while she is taking photos adds a lightness to the air and makes the process enjoyable and natural. April was amazing at always finding the perfect spot with the perfect natural light for the most "epic" shots :)

Her communication is always done in a timely manner and she is always so helpful with any questions you may have. She sets you up with a detailed timeline for your wedding day so you know exactly what photos will be taken at what time and where everyone needs to be. Her organization leaves you with no question marks and she's always willing to adjust where need be to accommodate your day! My husband and I, as well as our families, are beyond thrilled and blown away with the photos that we have to share with family and friends for a lifetime. I have truly never felt more comfortable in front of the camera and I believe that it comes across in the photos because of the peaceful atmosphere that April creates. I couldn't be more thankful for this experience.

My husband and I were absolutely thrilled to have had April be our photographer on our special day! I am SO glad that I chose April as our photographer for engagement photos. My fiance and I traveled from Orange County to Tempe, AZ for our photo session so that we could take the photos on the ASU Campus where we met. The search for photographers was overwhelming and the list was long! I emailed many photographers whose prices were too high or they simply didn't respond. I finally came across April and was instantly drawn to the soft, simple beauty of her photos. She responded quickly and her prices were great!

April took the time to speak to me on the photo, text, and over email several times before our photo session. She got to know my fiance and I through a thorough questionnaire that was so fun to fill out. She even customized our photo package to best meet our specific requests and vision for our photos.

On the day of the shoot, April arrived early and was already BEYOND prepared with many ideas for our photos. She helped us get comfortable in front of the camera quickly and seamlessly! I was shocked at how quickly she helped us loosen up and have a great time! Throughout the shoot she incorporated our opinions and ideas while also including her own creative vision. The result was a wide range of beautiful photos that we will treasure forever. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND to incorporate every photo that we wanted as well as the plethora of ideas and inspiration that she had. It was a GREAT experience and I feel like April really captured US through her lens.

We received our photos much earlier than expected. Every single one turned out beautifully. I am SO thrilled that I chose April to photograph our engagements. BOOK WITH HER! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

April was very flexible with my families schedule when booking and patient photographing my little ones in the Arizona summer heat. I'm a wedding planner who worked with April of April Maura Photography on a styled wedding shoot in 2014. April did an absolutely fantastic job at capturing the images and communicating often during the planning process. April has a beautiful spirit that is reflected in her images. She forms relationships easily and appears to be one of those people who have never met anyone they didn't like. April captures whimsical, rustic, and outdoorsy shots extremely well. I, without a doubt, would recommend April. She's one of the ones you want to book now before her prices go up - and they will, because she's worth it.

I worked with April for a photo shoot and the photos came out absolutely amazing. She is organized and handled things very professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a photographer.

April is a wonderful photographer. I've worked with her a few times now on different photo shoots and weddings and she does great work. She's incredibly professional and creative. I really enjoy working with her.

April was amazing when it came to making my husband and I very comfortable with capturing our photos together. She was very prompt with her responses when emailing and very flexible and creative with her work. I completely trusted her, and I was beyond thrilled with her amazing work ! I would definitely reccomend her for anyone looking for a great and very sweet photographer for any special occasion. Thank you, April!

We approached April last minute about coming on to photography a big event at our gym. She was more than happy to accept and without firm time commitments, she stayed all day and a smile never left her face. Many times, Crossfit shows up in pictures as aggressive or dark, but April brought her wedding eye to our event and captured a more than just the movements - she captured a mood. The sweat and smiles that truly reflected the day as it was, April saw them, and saved them to be viewed many more times by all of our members. We simply couldn't be happier with the work she has done for us.

April of 10,000 Smiles is so fun to work with! She is incredibly creative and innovative, and still wants to make your photos personal to you. She lets you use props, things that are special to you as a couple, and genuinely wants to hear and include your story. She has lots of ideas for poses so being in pictures doesn't feel awkward, but you feel special and like this is your day to be a model. I love how she captures the light in photos so I looked really natural and like myself, yet they are some of the best pictures of me in my life. She caught the elusive perfect sunset picture of us, and could capture my husbands laugh and silliness where people feel like they can hear him laughing through the photo :)

April was the second shooter for my wedding and was a delight to work with! Her pictures were some of my favorite shots and captured the joy and excitement of our wedding in a very special way. My now husband and I were very pleased with 10,000 Smiles. April was able to provide us with the pictures in a short amount of time after the wedding and we were very happy with the pictures. We had a great experience with 10,000 Smiles and would recommend 10,000 Smiles to a friend.

The most important thing about your session will be the result. I have never loved pictures of me and my husband before 10,000 Smiles! Excellent photographer. She has less experience than some, but don't let that stop you. She surpasses them in her skill and craft. She is personable and we had a fun photo shoot.
