Not once did I feel overwhelmed or stressed on my big day! We only had 90 days to plan my wedding and Susan made sure everything was in order in a short amount of time. Susan and applewood farm staff was amazing! They made not only my day easy but my mother in law and mom life easy with having everything ready for the wedding. I couldn’t have picked a better place than Applewood farm!

A Veteran's day like no other!
What a wonderful experience it was to have our daughter's wedding at Applewood farms. Susan was so gracious and kind in the planning and executing of this special day. I love that all of the details were taken care of for us so that we could just enjoy the day. It was effortless on our part and the kids were raving about how magical and surreal the day was. and her mom met along with me and my son's grandmother at time's that was convenient. Susan and the staff made sure we were all accommodated on the day of the wedding.
The rehearsal dinner was simple beautiful in the main house! Words, can't describe to you what a beautiful place it is, but you have to go check it out. Awesome Wedding Venue and Experience
When searching for a venue Applewood Farms was a great choice and value. The wedding party stayed on-site the night before the wedding and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. Susan was invaluable as a ready-made coordinator and was accessible at all times during the planning as well as the actual ceremony. We had such a wonderful experience with our wedding at Applewood Farm! The entire venue is beautiful from the bridal cabin, grooms cabin, main estate, chandelier barn, and their ceremony options and I am so happy we decided to have our wedding here. They have TONS of land that is absolutely stunning and creates for great pictures. Susan is an AMAZING coordinator and goes above and beyond to make sure your special day runs smoothly and that her venue is just how you want it. All of our guests had a wonderful time and complemented the venue lots. I highly recommend this venue if you are in Alabama, I would not go anywhere else!

My son & his wife had their wedding at Applewood Farm in May. It’s is a beautiful venue with every amenity you can think of. Susan was amazing. She made sure everything was handled & we were able to enjoy the day. The staff was great, the bridal cabin & grooms cabin were beautiful, the barn is spectacular. We rented the farmhouse to host the rehearsal dinner and everything was handled wonderfully there as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience & I can’t say enough wonderful things about Applewood Farm. I highly recommend this venue.

My husband and I got married at Applewood Farm on May 14th 2022. Susan and her team went above and beyond our expectations. Not only is Applewood gorgeous but Susan, her husband and their staff made sure every detail was taken care of for our big day. After looking at so many venues I was surprised at how affordable and amazing this venue was, located in Pell City where we live! When you book with them you get so much more than just a place to have your wedding/event. Susan is very professional and passionate about what she does and was involved every step of the way! I picked the right place!!!
Out of all the barn venues I visited, Applewood definitely offered the most amenities for the best value. It is also the most authentic barn experience, with ponds and acres of rolling grass hills. The Chandelier Barn sparkles bright, and the entire venue is beautiful inside and out. The staff is very professional, helpful and reliable. The owner Susan is a dream to work with and I am so glad that I had her there to help me out. My favorite parts of the venue were the Farm House, and the Bride and Groom Cabins. They are very cozy and spacious. The wedding was beautiful and it was everything I wanted plus more. 20 out of 10 rating for me!

Applewood Farms was the perfect wedding venue for us. It was a beautiful location and had multiple options for photo locations. They let us choose decorations to use that they already had on site, and we could bring in our own decorations as well. We planned for an outdoor wedding, but they helped us make a beautiful alter inside the barn when it started to rain. Overall I could not ask for a better wedding location!

It doesn’t get any better
This venue is beautiful. The staff is fabulous. The owners go above and beyond to make your day special. Susan will act as wedding coordinator if you don’t already have someone else doing that. We originally had a wedding date of May, 2020. When the pandemic necessitated a postponement, Susan worked with us to find a new date and kept the existing rate for us.
Our wedding was on May 29, 2021 and it couldn’t have been better! My daughter had created a vision board of what she wanted everything to look like and Susan executed that vision. We provided some things, but Susan has a large supply of wedding decor and you can go through her supply to find what you need to make your vision come through on your special day.
In the end, it comes down to relationships and the personal touch. Susan really cared about us and making sure that our day was exactly what she wanted. I could not give any higher endorsement than I give to Susan and Applewood Farm.

Ms. Susan is by far the best of the best when it comes to making your wedding experience the most memorable it can be. She communicates really well and genuinely cares about you. The place is beautiful, and not too far from the Birmingham area. Susan Boozer and her team were very professional and accommodating. The Farm House was the perfect place for the Rehearsal Dinner. Susan gives "above and beyond" a new meaning
There are not words to describe how incredible a job Susan did with our wedding. My wife and I were tight on budget and inexperienced in the entire wedding planning process. She met with us multiple times (3-month check in, 1-month check in, and 1-week check in) to make sure that nothing was falling through the gaps. Leading up to the wedding, she helped us form a schedule, helped us think of questions to ask our other vendors, and give us an all-around peace of mind about the whole process. The day of the wedding she continued exceeding expectations. Her and her team ensure that the stress is taken off of you on your day. With rain being a threat on our big day, she did a great job of making sure we knew when decisions had to be made. They managed all of the vendors day of which made sure none of us or our parents had to deal with anything. Susan and Applewood Farm should be a top choice for any bride/groom looking to get married in the Pell City area. Susan - thank you again for all that you did!

I can not say enough about this venue! Susan is a life saver. Not only are you getting a beautiful venue, but the services that are provided with the venue are unbeatable. Susan made sure everything ran smoothly and treats you like you are a part of her family for your special day!

We fell in love with Applewood Farms from the beginning! the venue is located on 40 acres of beautiful land! the barn layout was wonderful along with the ceremony spot! Susan was wonderful every step of the way while planning my wedding! she was flexible on planning wedding meeting schedules and organizing every little detail I wanted to perfection. The day of went so smooth! She did an excellent job coordinating the entire day so that I had nothing to worry about! She was always checking in on me making sure I was ok and if I needed anything! she was great with helping my mom accomplish everything. She told me exactly where I needed to be and made sure I was there on time, she handled the reception so well with timing everything. Overall a beautiful venue that was able to occupy my 200 guest list, wonderful quality service team and coordinator. My wedding was so beautiful I am so happy with my decision!!! highly recommend!!

Most MAGICAL place to become Mr. & Mrs.!! Applewood Farm is beautiful 365 days of the year but especially on November 11, 2017. From the moment I stepped onto this property I knew it was THE PLACE. Obviously I had to look at other places just because it's a part of the whole process, but really every place that was not Applewood Farm had already lost my interest. Susan and her husband were so warm from the first meeting to the final goodbye. I felt so understood by her the entire time. I never had the "dream wedding"planned out as a young girl and when I met with Susan, she was ready for the challenge of the Bride who didn't have a clue of what she wanted.
Susan understood me and helped me figure out what I wanted as the months went on. My mother traveled from Jacksonville, Florida and I traveled from Cleveland, Mississippi. A long distance wedding is extremely difficult process and Susan made everything go so smoothly. I could go on and on about how amazing Susan was for my mom and I. Susan is someone you WANT to work with, trust me. Her husband and crew were wonderful and so helpful on the big day making everything run PERFECTLY. Like I said before, I had no idea what I wanted and even told Susan to just do whatever she felt looked best, and she did so great!! I wish I could do it all again not only for the beautiful setting but to interact with her again because she was just the right fit for me. I'm so thankful for my experience from beginning to end. BOOK IT TODAY!
The night before, my bridesmaids and I stayed on site in the BIG CABIN and it made everything just flow! Our hair and makeup was done in the big cabin the morning of and that night my husband and I stayed in the small cabin together. It really does not get an better than that you guys! BEST PLACE TO TAKE PHOTOS. Everywhere where you turn is a perfect spot for photos & they let our fur baby be with us every step of the way!

Our experience was great! It rained most of the day, and everyone was totally prepared (up to the very last second) to move the ceremony indoors if needed. The ceremony and reception were beautiful. We fell in love with Susan and Applewood Farm immediately! Brides family is from Jacksonville FL. Bride and groom currently work and attend post graduate school in Cleveland MS. An hour after our visit my daughter and I looked at each other and said we gotta book this! Imagine coordinating a wedding for an anticipated cap of 300, wedding party, family, and friends. Imagine several car trips, emails, texts, phone calls within an engagement window of 11 months. Then imagine one who would calmly and professionally put it all together. Susan was so accommodating with her time each visit we were able to make, to answer all the brides questions. She and her staff were simply professional, pleasant and extremely generous with their patience. It doesn't matter how prepared you think you are, you find that in reality you are not. I completely trusted Susan and her staff in all areas. In any situation that came up, she did not waiver on her focus to my daughter and her needs, while directing her team to seamlessly execute all tasks . We were so moved by Susan and her staffs efficiency, the day and evening were magical and positively memorable in every way. Numerous compliments from all who attended were spoken. The pricing was excellent the quality of materials used are top notch. The rented cabins were a significant bonus both breathtaking in beauty and quality comfort. There is beauty and experience at Applewood. The rehearsal dinner was held in the same location as the reception, it too was marvelous! Susan not only took care of the details, she showed genuine care and passion on personal matters. She is one of a kind and we were blessed to cross paths. When we reflect back upon this occasion we will have emotional ties to her as though we were long time friends, rather than a client, vendor style relationship. God's continued blessings to you, your family and staff. thank you!

From the time I pulled up the drive at Applewood I knew it would be my venue. And then when I met Mrs. Susan things were confirmed. Mrs. Susan was always willing to talk to me when i had questions and would even be open for visits just to talk things over in person. We just got married at Applewood Farm on March 24th. From the moment I met Susan, she was extremely helpful with allowing us to tour the venue, planning the details, and coming to see the venue when we needed. She put me at ease and was very organized throughout the entire process. The day of was so smooth because of her and her friendly staff. I could not have picked a better place to get married! Applewood Farm was a dream. The owner, Susan, was the best at helping make sure our big day was absolutely perfect. She was great at staying in contact and making sure everything ran smoothly the day of. The amount of decorations that come with renting the space is amazing, almost to where you don't need to buy anything yourself! There are several back-up plans for rain as well such as the indoor space and an awning they can add outside for sparkler send offs or to keep the bride and wedding party dry. I would 100% recommend a wedding at Applewood Farm!

This venue was PERFECT! The owners are absolutely wonderful, and will ensure that your day goes exactly how you want it, and without a hitch! The rolling hills on the property are beautiful, and the chandelier barn is too! It was the perfect size for our reception, and if it had rained that day we could have moved the ceremony indoors with no problem. We had our rehearsal dinner here as well, the night before the wedding. I could not have asked for a better venue to have my wedding at!

Exemplary in every way. You can't go wrong by choosing Applewood Farms. I lost track of how many venues we looked at, but I wish we'd come to Applewood Farms first. Applewood offers such a wide variety of options to choose from. The complete setting with the main barn, cabins and grounds is very relaxing. The whole atmosphere is designed to remove any and all stress from you event. Applewood has built in enough flexibility to accommodate nearly every situation. The provided Vendor listing is great, covering catering, floral, photography, cakes, music, etc. Each listed vendor is chosen based on their proven abilities. And the Staff at Applewood, absolutely perfect. Susan and her staff were always in the right place at the right time, assuring that everything was perfect. We didn't have to lift a finger. If there was a minor bump in the road, Susan had it remedied before we even knew it had occurred. Part of this review asks how much did you spend? Well, how much I spent is not as important as how much value I received. Applewood has designed its venue to accommodate nearly every budget. Bottom line, I spent what I had to, but not as much as I would have spent at other venues, and received less.

Susan and her team did an amazing job on our rehearsal night (which we held in the estate house) and our wedding in the barn! It was everything we hoped it would be and more. They were so accommodating in every respect - from wrangling vendors to the day of timeline to a wheelchair bound bridesmaid, they worked tirelessly to carry out our dream vision. It was absolutely a worry-free wedding. Susan and her staff managed every issue that came up so I was completely unaware of any problems throughout the whole day. I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else - it was absolutely a perfect experience.

The Farm is so beautiful! We loved having every aspect of our wedding there. Our favorite part was probably staying the night before the wedding in the cabin on the farm. My parents came from out of town and it was so convenient and comfortable for our group. We loved having a full kitchen to cook breakfast. There was plenty of room for everyone to get ready - and it was only a golf-cart ride down the hill to the barn.

We looked at SO MANY venues before we decided that this was THE ONE. It was absolutely beautiful! The setting, the barn, the grounds, the cottages/house. I can't really pinpoint a specific selling point but the giant oak tree for the ceremony was pretty much at the top of the list along with the gorgeous chandelier barn with it's twinkle lights everywhere and the many chandeliers hanging just cinched the deal. We loved the idea that the base price was below our price range and all the amenities were "a la carte" allowing us to budget accordingly. Many items were included in the base price. The staff was perfect. They handled the day of the wedding impeccably. All we had to do was ask or "direct" and they were on it. Many things were handled without them having to be asked. The amenities that they offer are everything that anyone could need for a wedding. This business is a well oiled machine that knows what it's doing. We have another daughter that one day will be getting married and we will not look anywhere else!

We had our ceremony and reception at Applewood Farm and they went above and beyond to make all of our dreams come true!!! If you are looking for a venue I would look at Applewood Farm first because you will not need to go anywhere else.

Applewood farm and their staff made me feel at home as soon as I got there. The site is beautiful, whether you want an indoor, outdoor, traditional, or modern wedding, rehearsal, or event. Susan, the coordinator, made me feel like both a valued customer and a close family friend. She offered advice as I planned my wedding (as I didn't have much help) but ultimately let me make all the calls and helped me put together a beautiful day! She really helped on wedding day especially with coralling my vendors, family, and wedding party into being on time and stress-free. Loved everything about my wedding at Applewood!!

Working with Susan at [Applewood Farm] for our wedding day was a dream come true. She was incredibly flexible and helped us nail down every single detail to make our wedding day perfect. My husband and his groomsmen stayed in the Big House at the venue the night before the wedding and loved every minute of it. I would recommend [Applewood Farm] to everyone and anyone. It was the absolute perfect place for us to get married and a way to really allow everyone to have a relaxed wedding that really displayed my husband and I's personalities. I am from Arkansas and my husband is from Texas, so it was a great blend for both of us. Susan and Don were amazing with how well they help navigate through everything before our wedding day, on rehearsal day, and on our wedding day. Susan has a very special personality that is kind, helpful, and hardworking without coming across as pushy or stressing to the bridal party/family.They really made an impact on both our families and all our guest, with everyone consistently praising them. My bridal attendant was named Connie and she was with me every moment from when I stepped onto the farm to begin getting ready to right before I walked down the aisle. She really did a great job taking charge and doing things for me just when I need them, and even before I could ask. The staff within the barn for the reception was absolutely exceptional as well, and thankfully reminded us about our cake, which we forgot in the midst of all the wedding day to-dos. They were very understanding and ensured even though we forgot, everything was set up perfectly for the reception. The possibilities for decorating were endless and Susan was very open to all our personal touch ideas. The staff took great care of our things once the reception was over and kindly placed them were we would be able to quickly gather everything. I can truly say I believe it would be hard to find a better place with kinder or better staff, pricing, or quality. I will remember that day because of [Applewood Farm] so fondly and pleasantly forever.

I am the mother of the bride. This was the only place my daughter wanted to have her wedding. I am so glad she did. The service and attention we got was off the charts. Susan and the staff treated us like royalty. Everything we needed they went out of their way to get it done. Susan spent the day, not only making sure the wedding was perfect, but made sure every little thing I needed got done. She ran around and did all the little things for me, so I could spend my time with the bride. Everyone, including vendors, only had wonderful things to say about the farm.

This was the best experience. Since the new owner Susan took over everything was wonderful. She made the whole day about me and was there for me completely. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who asked. Everything was perfect the day of and leading up to the wedding! If you heard bad things that was the old owner and Susan is nothing like her. I dealt with both people and Susan is a million times better! Ill remember my wedding day forever and it will be a good memory.

Beautiful wedding venue!
We decided to go with Applewood farm for our wedding in November 2023 because of how beautiful the venue was with the fall colors, and the amazing decorations the venue provides, as well as the owners experience in the wedding business and in event planning which was super helpful. We were really happy with how everything turned out for our wedding!

Applewood Farm was wonderful
We had our wedding and reception at Applewood Farm. We were both a bit nervous going into the planning, but Susan calmed our nerves and led us in the right direction. She had everything in hand and went above and beyond to make our wedding everything we hoped for. Weeks later all of our friends and family are still telling us what a wonderful wedding and venue it was. We can't recommend Applewood Farm highly enough.

I loved the venue! It is well maintained and you never have to worry that it will be in good shape when it's time for your wedding. Susan was great and super helpful from start to finish. All of the staff was super helpful and very friendly! Especially Connie. She is a brides dream on wedding day. If you need it or want it, she gets it. She is a rockstar.
The only negative I would have is that I wish you were allowed more than 8 hours the day of. Some of my vendors showed up before my time started so I had to pay a little bit more. 8 hours is difficult to stick to especially if you're decorating yourself. Susan is very willing to let you come in a little early or stay a little late but you'll just have to pay a bit more.
Other than that everything was perfect. You will not be disappointed choosing this venue! I highly recommend!

My 80 something year old mother and I were to attend the reception of Meagan Freeman and Michael Price. Mother and I both use canes and cannot walk a long distance. Upon arrival, the driveway was blocked off. We told the lady there that we could not walk and it was hard for us to get into a golf cart. She spoke with someone and they said to let us through. When we arrived at the barn, where the reception was to take place, we were told we could not park by the barn and that our car would be moved. I said that would not happen and this man said "I'm the owner and those are the rules." I told him how rude he was being to Mother and Me. I proceeded to take our gifts inside. When I got back to the car, I told him that I knew Bill and Barbra Alvis who had built this lovely farm and they would have NEVER spoken to a guest the way he had spoken to Mother and me and that he had ruined the reception for us. He could have cared less. He is suppose to be representing the bride and groom and be courteous to their guests. It might be a pretty venue, but beware if you want your guests to be treated as if they are welcomed.
