I had the pleasure of working with Zach and Ryanne of Apogee Events for my wedding. I had chose just the day of coordination with Ryanne but she was so much more. She was beyond helpful throughout the entire planning process and always had advice or that second set of eyes that saw something that I missed. Zach's website for building my playlist was super user friendly and so easy to use. Both Zach and Ryanne were very professional and made my day that much easier on me. I can't thank either of them enough for the amazing job they did. I highly recommend them for any event you may be planning.

Apogee Events was everything we could have asked for! We opted for the package of DJ service, Photo Booth, Videographer, and Wedding Coordinator and you definitely get what you pay for. Whenever there was a question about anything Zach and Meagan were very responsive and answered every question we asked. They are there to help from the day you book them until the wedding is over. Meagan helped to make everything run smoothly the day of the wedding and I (the bride) could not have been more grateful. Everyone always said that the day of the wedding is the most stressful but I can honestly say that was not the case here. If it were not for the Apogee staff then maybe it would have been. My groom and I were even changing our introductions and adding ceremony music the day of the wedding and Zach made sure everything was done just the way we asked. He played to our requests and the requests of our guests and we couldn't of had a better reception! We recommend Apogee to all of our friends and anyone who is looking for top notch service.

Here we are, one week (almost) since our daughter's wedding. I think one word would describe it... perfection. We hired Zach as the DJ, and Ryanne as the "day of" coordinator.

Both were outstanding choices, as well as the two other team members that helped with the Herculean task of putting up 200 lanterns and poms. It looked exactly as we had envisioned! Ryanne helped guide us in what we would need to achieve the look we wanted, and the result was picture perfect. It was also nice to have her there to greet the vendors and to keep things moving. Honestly, I loved doing the details of the wedding myself, but on the day of... it was so nice to have Ryanne there to do the things that I just didn't have time for. I really felt like I was able to enjoy the day from start to finish. For all of you Mother's of the Bride out there... you need a coordinator.

As for Zach, he was fabulous. The music flowed seamlessly from the ceremony then throughout the reception. His personality was perfect for our event, and he really seems able to read the crowd, and that is a gift. At most weddings there always seems to be awkward pregnant pauses during the toasting... but not here, like I said, seamless. My daughter even commented to me that Zach came to check in with them during the reception see if they needed anything. I loved that he went the extra mile to make her feel special.

All in all, Apogee Events & Weddings was the perfect choice for us.

Zach with Apogee Events is an amazing DJ. He really payed great attention to detail in order to make our wedding truly an amazing day. Zach played music for our wedding ceremony as well as our reception and really did an exceptional job. He was willing to meet with us multiple times before the wedding day to help us actually plan our entire wedding reception. We really would have been lost without him. Our guests only had tremendous things to say about him as he made our reception go off without a hitch. We highly recommend Apogee Events for any party. Couldn't have asked for any better. Overall AMAZING!!!

Event - Prom:
Right from the get-go I could tell that this business would provide great services. My first phone call was with Zach. He was an extremely kind, easy to talk to, understanding and experienced individual. He made all negotiations easy and answered all of my questions. Regardless of the how many things I had to run through administration before getting the contract signed, Zach was patient and willing to deal with the situation. He never suggested to buy the more expensive DJ & Lights package because he recognized that it was unnecessary, he truly helped me pick what was right for the amount of people.
The event itself was amazing. The goal of our Prom committee was to hold an unforgettable dance and I can honestly say that it was achieved. We could not have done it without Zach as well as Josh, the DJ Apogee events provided us with. He was very engaging over the microphone as he would offer money to those who could show off the best moves etc. Not only that, he took direct requests and played dance music for almost the whole dance.
The only suggestion I have after working with Apogee events is to tell the DJs not to remix or extend most songs. Besides that minor thing, Apogee is the best out there and I strongly recommend going to them for any occasion. Thank you again Zach and Josh!

With our experience having Apogee Events, we found them to be exceptionally courteous, very well prepared, and altogether a fantastic deal. We hired Zach Thomas as our DJ already knowing the positive rapport he builds with each of his clients and how much effort he places into satisfying his clients’ needs. We had a very particular list of songs and arrangements needed for our wedding and he accommodated every request handily and even offered many useful and clever suggestions for how to keep things lively and fun all through the night. In addition to providing well-practiced DJ-ing abilities, Zach was able to even supply a mobile dance floor and a generator, ensuring that wherever the event is, the party can come too. We asked Ryanne to be our wedding coordinator three weeks before our event with nothing but the venue and the DJ selected. Ryanne was able to step in last minute and delivered on every detail from attending all final appointments to designing wedding favors. She stayed up every night for a week perfecting unique crafts to give our event a personalized feel that was entirely us. The day of the wedding ran smoothly and peacefully under Ryanne’s inspired management, allowing for us to enjoy the day to the greatest potential. The day truly could not have come together to meet our vision if not for Ryanne bringing our ideas to reality. Suffice to say that any event that we should need fun, helpful, and valuable entertainment for, Apogee Events will be who we call.

Highly recommend

Apogee was fantastic at DJing our school's fun run! Their communication was excellent, and they were very flexible with weather and last-minute changes. They brought great energy to the event and really helped keep the kids excited as they ran. Highly recommend!

We loved our daughter's DJ! Some DJ's tend to be "cheesy" and make the night awkward...not these guys! They keep the flow of the day steady and the dance floor full. We Highly recommend them!

I very highly recommend Zach. He was WONDERFUL for my backyard wedding. His online planning tools made it so easy to plan ahead, and all of our music selections were played without a hitch. He is extremely responsive, even during the crazy bride planning period. He kept things moving throughout the evening efficiently and smoothly and he worked very closely with the photographers and coordinators. My photographer has done MANY weddings and she recently told me that Zach is the best DJ she's ever worked with. His uplighting was beautiful, his equipment was top notch, and the photo booth was SO MUCH FUN. I very highly recommend Zach for any event. You won't regret it!!

Zach is a party pumper!

Zach from Apogee was just a pleasure to work with and knows how to throw quite the party! The planning process was a cinch - the online form was extremely helpful in planning out each song we wanted to play. He was the DJ for our wedding, starting with pre-ceremony through the last song and we could not have had a better experience. The timing of the music was just right during the ceremony, he was a great emcee with the reception, and helped us keep our dance party going for 2.5 hours! He is so kind and perceptive to the crowd and attentive to the bride and groom - I wouldn't have wanted any other DJ for our wedding. Thanks Zach!

Apogee provided 8 hours of service for us which included both a ceremony and reception setup. Allen was very easy to work with and was able to make everything flow very easily. I wasn't a huge fan of the online tool since I had organized everything in excel format, but it was nice to see what songs they have available and how many special requests you could make. Overall, we were very happy with the services provided and would recommend Apogee in a heartbeat.

Zach & his team at Apogee Events are fabulous!!! I HIGHLY recommend them for your event. Zach traveled 3+ hours for my wedding. He was early, set up his equipment & did his "job" - Exceptionally Well! Apogee Events offers an Online Database - Which allows you to request songs, for the first dance, gater toss, etc., as well as general songs you'd like played at your reception. This was AWESOME! It allowed us to add songs as we thought of them. It also has a Timeline Section, which allows you to plug in when things are happening & include whatever notes you'd like. During the Wedding Planning Chaos, it was very helpful! I have had SEVERAL guests comment on how great my DJ was. He was super involved with the guests - He didn't just sit in the corner and play music! He was great about letting guests know when things were happending (Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss, Etc.). He went above & beyond - He even captured some video & photos!!!
I rarely give reviews, but I was so pleased with Apogee, I had to!!!
You will NOT be disappointed with Apogee Events!

We hired apogee events to handle the DJ/Emcee duties for our wedding, and Allen did a phenomenal job! I can't begin to say enough good things about our experience with Apogee, and with Allen. They were very responsive to my questions and requests, and everything went so smoothly the day of. I have received so many compliments about Allen and the great job that he did! He took requests and kept our guests entertained/dancing the entire time. He gave us one amazing dance party! Everyone had a great time thanks to him! I highly recommend Apogee Events.

I was so pleased with the service I received from Zach and his staff from Apogee Events. Zach ran the DJ booth and stuck to my timeline perfectly, but was also flexible when I wanted him to move things around at the last minute. He judged the flow of the party and was able to play music to keep the party going. I loved the fact that he was very flexible when we wanted our singer to sing an extra song. The man that ran the photo booth was a very good sport with my guests. The photo booth was the perfect addition to the party. If you want an amazing DJ and photo booth contact Apogee!

My wife and I recently used Apogee Events as our wedding planners, and were blown away by how well our wedding came together. We had no idea how many details needed to be looked over to make sure our day was perfect. Planning a wedding can be very overwhelming, but working with Meagan and Ashlee made the whole process stress free and made sure everything was the way we wanted it. On our first consultation they asked questions about us and our preferences of how we wanted things to go in order to not waste time on certain ideas that didn’t interest us. Instead, they focused on the most important details of the wedding that we wanted perfect. From this interview, they came up with wonderful ideas that we hadn’t even thought of, and would fit our budget! When the big day finally came, we didn’t have a care in the world. Any possible screw up was already thought of, and a plan of action was set up in case problems arose. My wife and I didn’t have to lift a finger, but instead enjoy the excitement of getting married and all the festivities of the day. Working with this company was one of the best choices we made and was completely worth it in order to have more time to enjoy the day and the build up to it. Weddings aren’t fun if you are constantly worrying about where to start and how to organize every detail. With Apogee Events, we let them take the lead, and our wedding came together better than we could have ever imagined. My wife and I will highly recommend them to anyone wanting to get married, but who doesn’t think they can afford a wedding planner. It is one of the smartest expenses you will make for the big day.

Zach from Apogee Events was highly recommended to me by a few different people in the wedding community. When I found out that Zach had already booked my wedding date, I was discouraged. However, I still booked with Apogee. I am so thankful I did! Steve did an AMAZING job!! He was so concerned that everything was perfect for me. He went over every last detail with me and was very understanding that I needed guidance because I have zero wedding experience. He helped me through every question and offered great advice. He even went out of his way to change up songs on the day of the wedding. I couldn't be more happier with his job! I had special requests for Spanish music (from the new family I was marrying into), a genre of music that I am not even familiar with. He was a hit! He was able to get all of my older in-laws off their chairs and on the dance floor. He kept my dance floor full all night long! I highly recommend Apogee and Steve for your wedding!!

My experience with Apogee events was far beyond my expectations. Two months before my wedding I was referred to Ashlee and Meagan as wedding coordinators. Knowing I only had two months, I wasn’t sure there would be much they could help with, being that all the big decisions were made, but needed something to relieve some stress and pressure. These ladies did that, and so much more. I now look back, and know that my day would have never come close to running smoothly without these two brilliant girls. Ashley and Meagan did an abundance of tasks for me: read my contracts, contacted all vendors, met with venue/caterer to go over and schedule day of events, were in constant contact with me answering any questions I had promptly, made a detailed itinerary of wedding day, contacting certain people to let them know there expected arrival and tasks, set up decorations for ceremony and reception, organized and ran ceremony and reception, making sure everything was running smoothly, and efficiently. Ashlee and Meagan were not only very well organized, they were personal and friendly, by the day of the wedding they seemed more like friends then hired coordinators, they made me feel comfortable, and took responsibility the day of the wedding, therefore everything I wanted and expected got done, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing, or get flooded with questions. Early on in my engagement I thought I would get along easily without a wedding coordinator, I now know there is no way my wedding would have been even close to what I expected without them. I would refer Ashlee and Meagan to anyone.

Want to know the best part of our wedding, besides getting married, of course?! Watching my best friends take photo booth pictures with my mom, friends flip their kids upside down as their picture is snapped, and feeding cake to my new husband in the booth! Not only was the booth the hit of the night but the booth coordinator was so nice and helpfulness ul! She helped friends paste their pictures into our guestbook! I will definitely use Zach and his crew again!!

Zach and Ryanne did a fabulous job at my wedding! Zach was the dj for my wedding. He is very professional. I love the online wedding planning tool. Zach was definitely made for this line of work. He is warm, friendly, FUN and extremely entertaining and I could not have been any happier! Our wedding was seamless and lovely and our guests had a great time. He hosted our shoe game and came prepared with his own questions, and was a big hit. We sprung for the package with uplighting which was worth every penny as the lights completely transformed the room. Additionally Zach was beyond easy to communicate with and returned e-mails almost immediately which is exactly what this anxious bride needed! We hired Steve to DJ our June 28th wedding and he did a exceptional job and we couldn't have been happier with how our day turned out! Steve would be a great addition to any wedding...He was professional, friendly, flexible, and very easy to work with. Not only did he show up to the event early to set up, but he was willing to help with anything.

The music transition from ceremony into the reception was perfect and Steve did a great job at making all the necessary announcements throughout the night. All of our music that we requested was played and he knew when to play it. Our guest were very happy that they could request music too. Apogee has a great music library with tons of music to pick from and the best part is that you can create your music playlist online and submit it to your DJ. Super easy and convenient!

I would definitely recommend Apogee Events to anyone! They really know how to set the tone for a great party! Thank you Steve!

Where to begin? One of the single nicest guys I have ever met who never stopped doing whatever it took to make our wedding the greatest day of our lives. The website he has to create the song list you would like played, or not played, at the wedding was extremely convenient and exactly what I was looking for. There were a ton of unique songs we wanted that most DJs would not have been able to accommodate, he not only downloaded but double checked with us he purchased the correct version. It was incredible how much time he put in making sure he had just the right music. My favorite thing was being on the dance floor and having the songs come on I request he "must play" (an option when selecting) and forgetting that I had even made that selection! What a laugh and good times when everyone joins me in singing some "Sweet Caroline"!
But putting the music aside, we found out because of the weather we would need a dance floor at the last second, he accommodated without blinking an eye. Throughout the entire reception he kept us on track and reiterated the fact that the DJ is one of the single most important persons you could hire at a wedding - and without any hesitation I would recommend him to anyone! Thank you for making our day the best day of our lives!

Apogee Entertainment was amazing! Very professional and prompt for all meetings and events for our wedding. We were very impressed with the professionalism and quality of the music. They accommodated our very customized request for our song to walk down the isle to- which required the song to be cut, looped, and then uncut at specific times. It was all done perfectly, and we were very glad we chose Apogee Entertainment for our wedding. He even offers videographer services, and am so glad he recorded our special day. They offer packages for all budgets, and is all very customizable- which was a huge plus. We would DEFINITELY recommend them!

Se hired them for our wedding and they did an excellent job throughout the whole process. From the initial meeting, my husband and I like them right away because they didn't mind coming in to meet us on the weekend (since we live far away), and took time to show us the different services that come with each package to help us choose what is best for our accommodation. After the initial meeting, Zach who is the owner kept in touch with me and responded quickly to all my questions and needs. They really try their best to make the process fun, personal and easy for us by letting us pick out theme colors, choosing and organizing our playlist/program online, and even paying online through a secured and convenient portal. When it was time for the big day, they were on time and they truly completed my vision with the beautiful up lighting. They were very professional and flexible with our crazy schedule changes, always responding to whatever request I have with a big smile. It was definitely worth it and I would recommend them for anyone looking for an excellent service at an affordable price for your event.

Perfect DJ for our big day!

Fun and Professionslal

Our DJ, Zach, was fantastic! The music questionnaire and DJ portal they use is awesome. They ask questions that you may not either realize you need to think about (like do not play this song!), or things you forget the DJ might need to know. Zach was great at reading the room, encouraging people to participate, but not pushing. We all had a wonderful time full of boogying, and laughing. Apogee took all the guess work and worry out of the music portion of the wedding. I would highly recommend Apogee Events!

We recently booked Apogee Events for our wedding and were blown away by the experience! Zach contacted us early and kept in touch throughout the planning process to make sure he could give us the best service possible. We were able to build a detailed timeline for the event, and he readily accommodated our non-traditional wedding venue.
We asked Ryanne from Apogee to be our Wedding Coordinator, and she worked tirelessly from the beginning to the end of our planning process to make sure that everything went smoothly. From helping us focus our theme and colors, to making sure we knew what kinds of flowers and other decorations we wanted, her attention to detail and ability to predict our needs meant that we were always on track. She kept in very close contact with us for every step, and was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Ryanne made sure that our wedding went exactly how we wanted it to!
For the entire day of the event the Apogee staff kept us on schedule, and we could not have done it without them. Our ceremony went off without a hitch and the music and sound were clear and perfectly timed. Zach helped us make a plan for the reception and coordinated a very special first dance, as well as father-daughter and mother-son dances. The speeches, cake cutting, and garter and bouquet tosses were expertly organized, and a lot fun too.
I’ve been to wedding where everyone leaves after the ceremony, but our guests stayed all night! With an experienced ear, Zach played music that kept the party going for hours! He was easily able to honor even the most obscure requests from his seemingly bottomless library of songs. Apogee made sure that we got the most out of our venue and that we didn’t pay for an empty dance floor.
We absolutely recommend Apogee Events to anyone planning an event. Throughout the process they were professional, friendly, and helpful, and their prices were the best around. We cannot speak highly enough about Apogee!

First of all, my husband and I were absolutely blown away by Apogee Event's response time, professionalism, and planning tools. We originally met with Zach (the owner) and he informed us that we'd be working with another DJ, Kevin Lee, who was also phenomenal. My husband and I were a little unprepared with the timeline and Kevin made sure that everything that should happen happened when it was supposed to. He played all of the songs we wanted at the time we wanted them. He engaged the crowd. He engaged us. He was spectacular. We were not disappointed with Kevin at all. We loved him.

Totally recommend Apogee Events. Zach was a great DJ. He was right on, by engaging our guests as they waited for their turn at the buffet line. Fun games to get guests on the dance floor. Great experience, really made the reception fun for everyone of all ages!!!!

Zach with Apogee Events is an amazing DJ. He really payed great attention to detail in order to make our wedding truly an amazing day. Zach played music for our wedding ceremony as well as our reception and really did an exceptional job. He was willing to meet with us multiple times before the wedding day to help us actually plan our entire wedding reception. We really would have been lost without him. Our guests only had tremendous things to say about him as he made our reception go off without a hitch. We highly recommend Apogee Events for any party. Couldn't have asked for any better. Thank you SO MUCH Apogee!!!

If there were 10 starts I'd give them 10 stars, if you're looking for a DJ to not only make your wedding memorable but make the planning EASY then please hire Apogee.

Jack was our DJ and he was incredible. Leading up to the wedding he was so chill, answered all of our questions, was so patient, worked with the venue to figure out the set up in advance, collaborated so well with our sax player, and during our actual wedding he made pivots whenever we asked him to. Even late night after our photographer left he captured some INCREDIBLE candid photos without us even knowing because he knew that there wouldn't be professional ones taken!! He went above and beyond. We actually found out about Apogee because we went to a family friend's wedding and they were the DJs so we got their information. They're so kind, so responsive, offered so much guidance, etc. The DJ set up at the actual venue was understated and classy, Jack MC'd the event perfectly, we had a Photo Booth which was awesome.....the experience was wonderful. If you're needing a DJ, look no further -- go with Apogee!! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Apogee for making our wedding (and the planning leading up to it) so seamless and wonderful. We will remember you forever. :)

Zach was very helpful, calming, and assuring! We loved working with Apogee and everyone LOVED our photo booth! I would DEFINITELY use Apogee again for my next Portland event! My only suggestion would be to make sure guests know about the photo album if there is one... many of our guests didn't sign it because they didn't know about it. Bummer!

Apogee Events is amazing!! Highly recommend their services! Zach was always prompt and helpful in responding to my questions. Our day of DJ, Allen went way above our expectations. He was a helpful, patient, and funny- such a crowd pleaser! Everyone was dancing the night away. He followed the schedule, always on time! He was informative day of and provided perfects songs where we had forgotten to choose.
The photo booth was perfect! The open photo booth set up was awesome, you could see who was in there and people would jump right in. One of the highlights of the night! Everyone loved it! Even my grandmother was in there multiple times!
If you are looking for a professional, entertaining DJ company, you are in the right place. I'm so happy I booked them!

Since our wedding, we have also come to recommend Zach for his photo booth! The customized photo strip makes a great keepsake, and guests have way too much fun in a (free-to-them) photo booth! It's fun and he has lots of ideas on how to creatively decorate and prepare a backdrop.

I had a great experience with Zach and Steve from Apogee. Their price was low enough that I almost got concerned that I may be getting what I'm paying for, but I stuck to the reviews (they were one of the top rated choices, and there are enough ratings that you can trust them). However, these guys really delivered. I'll just list all the reasons Steve was so appreciated:

1. On time
2. Had all of his equipment (indoor set, outdoor set, several mic's, etc).
3. Great attitude in every stage (early planning, set up, reception, clean up).
4. Knew the right music to keep people entertained (knew how to "feel" the crowd)
5. Did MC duties flawlessly and without hesitation (releasing tables for dinner, announcing speeches, cake cutting, etc).

Great guys, I think you will have a similar experience if you go with them!

Zach and Allen at Apogee were both fantastic to work with for a surprise birthday party I was throwing for my sister. Zach was incredibly responsive and enthusiastic from the first time I talked to him, and Allen brought it all home with great DJ'ing at the event - not to mention jumping in to help out with some AV technical support! :-) The online planning tool that they offered was a great help to keep the night organized and loved the music selection process! We just got married and had a WONDERFUL experience with Apogee Events. Our wedding was at our home with 180 people, was non-traditional and we had many, many moving parts. Ashlee Dunsworth was our wedding coordinator. From day one, she was so on the ball. She was responsive, respectful and incredibly organized! Every single time we said we had another idea she simple said "I love it" and she made it happen. For example, we had 12 very small children participate in our ceremony. She met with all the parents and coordinated the children to show up at exactly the right time and miraculously got every one of them down the isle when they were supposed to. We worked with her diligently for almost a year and every time we met she was very professional, friendly and gave us her undivided attention.

On the day of our wedding, she showed up at 8 in the morning, organized a group of about 15 helpers and didn't stop working until every table was cleared at after 11 pm. She was totally amazing and we wouldn't have been able to do half the things we did without her. I would recommend her to anyone because she really made our wedding a wonderful day and a stress free event for the entire wedding party.

Zach and team were amazing to work with! He was the DJ at my best friend's wedding and when we got engaged we knew we wanted him at ours and he was the first vendor we booked. The online system makes it so easy to make sure they have all the music and with the schedule everything went completely smooth, Zach was always incredibly easy to get ahold of and helped answer all of my questions. We didn't have a day of coordinator and with Zach's organization we didn't need one, he kept things moving and people on the dance floor all night long! The photo booth was so much fun and we are so happy we added it. The book is incredible to look at later and the attendant was equally as fun, he even jumped in for a couple photos with family. I would recommend their services to anyone looking to book a wedding DJ, there aren't enough words to explain how happy we were with Zach and team!

I gave Zach Thomas five stars on every category because he was a fantastic from the planning stages of our wedding, until the actual date of our wedding. Besides the fact that he is friendly, personable, and an easy person to collaborate with, he made this VERY busy time of my life EASY with his computer system that allowed me to update songs and my wishes as I pleased. AND WE GOT EVERYTHING we wanted and more. The important songs were played at the right moment, our environment was set by the music (it was a fun wedding), and Zach was flexible with us the entire time. It was really REALLY stress free for me, and I never had to "worry" about the DJ. He also took the lead on first dances, toasts, etc (which again made it easier for me to enjoy my day). I am very grateful we had Zach there to share our big day; he is a lot of fun, very professional, and flexible.

What I loved most about Apogee Events is their service, responsiveness, and flexibility! The DJ truly cared about making us happy and he played exactly what we asked for. Our wedding was multicultural and Apogee was willing to be flexible and play everything from Spanish music, Jewish Music, African Songs, and even 90's Hip Hop & Pop throwbacks. The photo booth was so much fun for our guests and Apogee was completely flexible and easy going when I requested to bring my own photo booth props. They also allowed us to cram 30 people in the photo booth and never made a fuss about it. They made me feel so special and listened to. I was one of those annoying brides that made new music requests after every song, but the DJ was an amazing sport and went along with any new requests I threw at him! The music absolutely made my wedding day everything I wished for and I can't imagine working with anyone else! Your wedding day will be so much better if you have amazing service and vendors that you get along with so please Book with Apogee Events. Zach was pretty much the best wedding DJ anyone could hope for. He kept our timeline on track and made sure we had everything we needed. When planning a wedding you usually focus on the larger things and forget about the small stuff. This is where Zach saved the day. After entering the ceremony before our buffet dinner was served, Zach went to the buffet line first and filled out plates to the brim with food. If he hadn’t done that, I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t of had a chance to eat. He made sure we were happy the entire time. I really can’t thank him enough for everything he did. We utilized the up lighting and HD video package, and I’m still blown away at how our ventured looked. I highly recommend Zach for any event.

Our wedding planners helped our day go sooooo much smoother and kept all stress off of our family as far as keeping the flow moving. Our wedding was June 28th, and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding! Zach as our DJ played a huge part in that, and I'm so lucky I found him! He was always very responsive through the planning process and super helpful in coming up with suggestions for fun games to entertain our guests at the reception. He also helped me devise a wedding reception timeline of events that worked out perfectly. He worked really well coordinating with our wedding planner to create seamless transitions during the reception. Besides playing our selected songs, Zach also read the crowd and played music that got everyone up and dancing. He also was able to take any requests. I would highly suggest hiring Zach for your next event, you won't regret it!

Best vendor of them all!

This company is absolutely the best vendor we worked with for our wedding! DJ Jack was thorough, friendly and communicative! He was knowledgeable and fit our vibe perfectly! The price point is perfect and they delivered! Can't recommend this company highly enough.

Zach is an old friend so I immediately went to him for Apogees services. I was immediately impressed with everything Apogee had to offer. The website is clear and specific and allows you to outline your wedding to the minute with your music and activities. Our wedding ended earlier then we had planned due to it being a week night and Zach stayed till the scheduled time, providing music and lights to all who were cleaning up! Very professional the entire day despite normal wedding day hiccups! I recommend them to all my friends.

Allen was our DJ for my wedding this weekend. He had so much energy and knew what needed to happen, made great suggestions, checked things with me. Our music choices were generally rap centered because we wanted to dance, but he was even nice to my dad and played the occasional country song, and also facilitated our fairly obscure music tastes. He knew we were having a fun time and did a great job of egging it on. Apogee events also had this great online music picker where you basically tell them what is happening and what you want them to do. It was super fun to pick out songs that way, and also made you think about the wedding day. He even picked out a first dance song because I had forgotten to. Good Job!

Zach is a professional and I can't tell you how valuable it is to have confidence in this aspect of wedding planning. It was easy to use his online system and easy to communicate everything I wanted. We changed where our cocktail hour would take place the night before the wedding and he was able to bring a second sound system to accommodate. We had such an amazing dance party, he stayed an extra hour to keep the party going. Truly exceptional.

What a DJ!

Zach was fantastic! He had a good feel for the room and what sort of music was needed. We had him DJ and bring a photo booth with him. I would recommend for sure! Their online planning tool is AMAZING! It makes sure that you don't miss anything you might need. And they are set up so you can pay in installments right though your account.

We celebrated our big day almost a month ago and our day would not have been possible without Bryan! I truly believe that your DJ is one of the most important parts of your wedding and if you want the best, you need to do your research and find the best fit for you. From our first email until days after our wedding Zach and Bryan were amazing! Quick responses and always willing to answer my questions (there were a ton!) we could not have asked for a better DJ than Bryan. Even in the planning stages he helped me with some of my timeline and processional questions. Bryan was there early and eager to make our day the best day ever! He worked right along side our wedding coordinator and did a fantastic job at MC for the entire day (which is so KEY), made sure things ran smoothly, and got people on their feet! Bryan was so fun and was like having a friend there to DJ. We are so thankful for Bryan and the Apogee team – you cannot go wrong having these guys be a part of your wedding or any special event you may have!

Allen was our DJ at Edgefield for our wedding. He arrived early and was extremely passionate, accommodating and knowledgeable. He worked well with the musicians and was able to set up for the ceremony ahead of schedule. He played everything we wanted and created a really fun environment on the dance floor. We enjoyed working with him and would highly recommend her for any special occasion.

There is one word that comes to mind when describing Zach and his team....exceptional.

The sound for our wedding was clear and easily heard by our guests. He knows how to work a room very well and was able to keep the flow of the evening going smoothly. The packages he offers have more value for a better price than anywhere else we looked. I can't wait to see the video from the day and to see all the photobooth pictures!!!!

He also offers something else most others don't...peace of mind. Which to a bride is more than priceless. He answered a multitude of questions (some several times over) quickly and courteously. Zach kept me calm, helped us find our officiant, as was just flat out amazing in general.

Hire Apogee for your event. Seriously. Do it. You will not be disappointed!

Apogee events is top notch and Zach is a great guy!! He did everything we asked for, setup and tear down were all taken care of by them. They did a fabulous job of keeping guests entertained while we went from activity to activity and kept things organized. Couldn't have had a better experience!!

Zach was very easy to work with. Between one on one meetings with him and his online website he strives to help create the perfect event. My guests and I were all very pleased with his ability to take song requests and make it a party!

My now husband and I hired Zach for our August 16th 2014 wedding and he did a wonderful job! We had a meeting with him where he got to know us and then his online tools were so helpful to use or I would have been so lost! He did our ceremony and reception music and it all went flawlessly! He also has great music suggestions if you're feeling lost just send him an email and he will help you any way he can. Apogee DJ Review

So this is a hard review to write. Zach is an amazing DJ and person. We met him at an open house and knew instantly we wanted him to MC/DJ our wedding. He is the sweetest soul and you would not regret it having him conduct the night. Although, the issue we had was the actual DJing part of the night. He played all of our "must play" songs, when we were not in the reception area. We were out taking pictures and literally dancing in the field together watching our guests dance from afar, which was a little disappointing because we thought he would play those when we were there. The second part of DJing that was frustrating was that he was not sticking to our list/genres of songs. In the portal you make online, you list what you like and dislike. We, however, did not know how specific to be, and did not list "rock or rap" as specific genres not to play. We have been told countless times that Zach is a terrific DJ and can "read the room." There were times when he would play several rock or rap songs in a row and the dance floor was empty...I literally forced my family out on the dance floor, and even noticed people started leaving our wedding, which was a little heartbreaking. We asked him to play certain songs, which he did not do until later. I was entirely frustrated at this point, because we uploaded an entire "reception dance must play" Spotify playlist, of which only a few songs were played during dance time - and most were played during dinner. Our dinner playlist, from what we could tell, was not played at all leading to further disappointment since all the dance worthy songs were played while we were all eating. We were not happy with what was happening and (1) wished we were more specific with our "do not play" genres but (2) that he stuck to our specific playlist when we were actually there and when they were suppose to be played (i.e reception dance playlist and dinner playlist). He did, however, do a great job MCing the entire night as well as DJing our ceremony. I WOULD recommend them to other brides because he is fun, just be VERY specific with your genres, if you are picky about them.

No guidance

I am sad to say we were not satisfied with our DJ services from Apogee. We heard great things about them and were excited. They have a great online forum where you fill out all the specifics and I liked how organized it all was. However, when it came time they did not follow through. The music I selected to be played before the ceremony was not played at all and instead the DJ picked other songs, same with the Anniversary Dance. I had a couple specific instructions that were not followed at all. Also, he dismissed our guest tables for the food line before our parent's tables were dismissed. There was an area on the online forum to put our 25 must play songs, but not a SINGLE ONE was played during our reception. During the garter and bouquet toss, as well as with the money dance- there was no announcement on what was happening so most of our guests were outside mingling when he had us do these events. My own parents didn't get to see them because they didn't know he was starting them. I hate to be a downer, but my instructions were not taken into consideration at all, and our family and friends missed out on so many fun memories because nothing was announced.

Truly terrible.

We hired Apogee to do the internet livestream of our wedding (out of country relatives couldn't attend due to covid) and Apogee almost couldn't have done a worse job.
- The "set-up" consisted of a couple of iPhones on tripods.
- The sound was whatever the iPhones picked up on their tiny internal mics. No collar mic, no handheld microphone, nothing. This was for an outdoor wedding. The sound was mostly ruined.
- Lazy. The camera-person never bothered to pan the camera over the guests or at the processional or anything. They just played with their phone for 2 hours while they streamed an empty arbor.
- Apogee plasters their logo over your wedding video periodically, giving it a very cheesy "This wedding is brought to you by Pepsi" kind of feel.
Do yourself a favor, spend a little more money and hire someone good.

No response and no photos!

I rented a Photo Booth for my daughters wedding over 2 weeks ago. When we arrived at the wedding all the photos has my name and my husband’s name who picked up the photo booth not the bride and grooms names. It was a little disappointing but I could look past that. The worst part is that we never received the photos. I called several times and they never pick up. It says it’s best to reach them by email so I emailed twice with no response. I called back and left a message and received an email back that they were working on them and would get them right over. I still haven’t gotten them and sent another email with no response. At this point I don’t believe they even exist anymore.

Dropped the ball!

Had the worst experience with this company. The owner won’t return my calls or make it right.
DJ never showed up, photo booth was broken the entire time, our wedding planner ended up having to DJ from her cell phone. We still got charged full price and can’t even get a call back. This company literally ruined our wedding.

Disrespectful

I booked the Apogee venue for a party that was supposed to happen October 28, 2022. I Made four payments and when the event was getting close, I asked multiple times via email and phone calls to talk to someone to confirm event details. No emails or called or returned.

As my event was reaching 30 days out I grew weary and started to call neighboring businesses who told me they saw the Apogee people moving out of the building and taking down signage. At this point I still hadn’t heard from Apogee. When we hit 30 days out, I received an automated message that it was time to confirm details. I responded saying I was concerned the event would even happen due to lack of communication, and the fact that I had confirmation they had already closed and didn’t tell me. I got a call back from Zach Thomas saying he couldn’t come to an agreement with the landlord and they had to close. He acknowledged that per their contract, since they cancelled the event he knew he owed me a full refund and told me to communicate with him via email, as that was the fastest way to communicate with him. I disputed 3 of the 4 payments I made with my bank and emailed Zach that same day we talked on the phone to let him know he still owed me at least my 50% deposit, the charge I wasn’t able to dispute because the transaction date was outside of the 3 month window my bank allows for disputes. I ended up emailing him 3 times to confirm receipt of my emails and no response. Terrible customer service. He didn’t communicate that he closed the venue doors until 2 weeks after doing so, then hasn’t responded to any of the emails he told me to send regarding my refund he acknowledged he owed me.

He still has every cent I paid towards my event that he cancelled.

Don’t let this happen to you. Though the venue is closed, he is still offering wedding services. Hire someone who will respect your time and money, provide you with the services you paid for, and communicate with you.

Major headaches and added stress due to lack of communication and professionalism

I want to start off by saying I have NEVER written a bad review about any person or company until now. I am a pretty understanding person and having ran a small business in the past, I understand that things happen and giving grace as a customer is sometimes warranted. This has just gone too far and has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company. This will be a long-winded review because I want to be perfectly transparent about what happened between us and Apogee after booking with them for a wedding DJ/MC.

Apogee, Zach specifically was great to deal with up until we gave him a deposit to book a DJ for our wedding. After that, communication all but stopped. We booked the Professional DJ package with a couple of add-ons bringing our total to $1,250 for the event. I asked specifically before booking to meet the DJ who was going to be at our wedding and act as the MC. Zach assured me this would happen after I placed a deposit, it never did. Zach told us that our DJ would be Kyle, but we couldn’t even find a bio of him on Apogee’s website. They had the other DJ’s listed, but none of them named Kyle. We just assumed the website wasn’t up to date. So we knew literally nothing other than a name about our DJ. Kyle sent us one email 2 months later asking to set up a time to chat on the phone. His email went to my junk folder, and I did not see it until a week later. When we responded with dates and times, and an apology for not seeing his email sooner, we got no response back, no phone call, nothing. I have sent numerous emails to Kyle since then and have received no response.

We booked with Apogee in early August of 2021 for our wedding in September 2022. As DJ services were booking quickly due to a backlog of weddings from COVID. Since giving Apogee our $400 deposit in August 2021 until now when I am writing this review in February of 2022, we have received 2 total replies from Zach and Apogee.

One of those replies came on January 4th of 2022, Zach finally did respond to one of my emails saying he would give me a call and added the link to our booking details and DJ form. We had already filled out the form to the best of our abilities and needed a bit of clarification on a few parts to it. Zach did in fact call 2 days later and I happened to be right in the middle of an important meeting. Zach left no voicemail or follow up email. I called the number back within an hour and left a voicemail and received no response or follow up.

Since then, we have received nothing from the company or Zach. No emails, no phone calls, nothing. I have reached out numerous times by email and phone. We understand our event is not for another 6 months, but all we were asking was to meet our DJ and have him answer a couple of questions about the online form. Trying to plan a wedding is stressful enough, we did not need this type of customer service, or lack thereof to add to it. I sent an email to the company’s main email informing them we needed communication, or we would have to go with another company as things are booking up extremely fast for our wedding day. We just could not trust that they would actually show up on the day of. We of course did not get a reply.

I sent them an email terminating our contract on 2/12/22 after one last-ditch phone call went unanswered. We have been forced to go with another DJ purely because we do want or need the added stress this company was going to put on us from lack of communication and just general consideration.

EDIT: As of 2/14/2022- Zach did refund our deposit and apologized for a clear lapse in communication. I just want to add that I did not enjoy writing this review. I truly wish things had ended differently because we were excited about what this company had to offer. Hopefully things get better from here on out. I really do wish Zach and Apogee all the best moving forward.

Apogee was a large disappointment. After we put our deposit down they were extremely hard to get a hold of. I called them for weeks trying to get our final bill. I called every number I could, emailed several different people and finally they responded to a face book message. When I finally received the invoice, they “accidentally” added an extra $100. I sent them a detailed email of what I wanted and what I expected. Our DJ sent me a text 2 days before the wedding and said he wasn’t doing well and he just found out about our wedding. He didn’t know anything about our wedding including where it was. I resent all of the information and instructed him to be there by 3 set up. He showed up at 3:50 and asked a lot of questions that I covered in my email to him. He clearly did not read any of my emails and was very unprofessional. His energy was very flat and he very obviously did not want to be there. His song selection was terrible and struggled to keep anyone interested. One person requested a specific song and he chose the electronic techno version. A few people requested slow songs to dance to but he wouldn’t play anything until I requested a slow song. He announced the song was going to be a slower one and finally everyone got up to dance. There was a long awkward pause until I had to turn around and tell him to hit play. His song selection was Sweet Caroline and everyone tried to slow dance to it. It was awkward to say the least and and shortly after that, everyone started to leave. With all of the great reviews Apogee has online, I was very disappointed with all of the complaints we got from guests. They were scheduled to play until 10:30 and when the time was up, he unplugged the equipment and went home. He didn’t even finish the last song. I tried to call the owner a dozen times and sent him 10 emails but he doesn’t answer his phone. He sent me 1 email and was apologetic and said he was very unprofessional but wouldn’t give me a refund.
