Anne was great and easy to work with! We had a few calls over zoom after filling out a questionnaire with what we wanted. She used her expertise to let us know what was realistic based on our budget and time of year (e.g. peonies weren’t in season, but ranunculus are in fall). She set up everything so quickly on the day of that we didn’t have the chance to thank her. So thank you, Anne!!! -

Alison Sent on 01/06/2018Anne was so wonderful! Knowing nothing about flowers, I entrusted her to do what she does best and she definitely pulled through. She knew what flowers would be in season, had pictures of examples since I didn't know the flowers by name. Anne and her staff helped make my ceremony and reception look absolutely beautiful and elegant, which is exactly what I wanted! -

From about a million disparate photos and very little direction, she was able to get the feeling we were going for perfectly! She created beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, arrangements, and even a 30 ft. garland. It couldn't have been better! -
User1385830 Sent on 10/18/2013I used Anne as my florist for my October 2013 wedding at the Hacienda de las Flores. We got her name from the venue's preferred vendor list. Her cost was very reasonable for all of the flowers she provided.
She provided bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, aisle runners, and center pieces, as well as some other misc flowers for decoration and our party favors. She did most of the setup without needing direction. My one complaint was that she didn't get the boutonniere pinned on the groomsmen, fathers, and kids, so I actually had to do it right before the ceremony.
We didn't really have a vision, other than for our wedding colors, for the flowers. We let Anne pretty much make the decisions about what to do and everything turned out great.
We asked her at one point about dressing up a stair case railing and she actually said she didn't think it needed anything. I appreciated her honesty and that she didn't simply see an opportunity to make a little more money.
She has a good design eye and her cost is very reasonable. I would recommend Anne, especially to people like me who don't really know much about flowers. -

Katie Sent on 06/04/2012Anne Mendenhall gave my wedding that perfect pop of color. Her vision was exactly what I was dreaming about. I think everything from the flower bouquets, the table arrangements and all of Anne's creations at the wedding made our wedding day perfect! -
User1045587 Sent on 12/14/2012I found Anne through my wedding coordinator, Mirella Riga, and I am so glad I did. I called multiple florists in the East Bay area and Anne was by far the most professional and reasonable. Her prices were very competitive, but the best part about Anne is she is very good and creating your vision. All the flowers were perfect, the centerpieces were grand and lush, and the small touches like the ribbons used to wrap the bouquet handles were perfect.

Donna Sent on 05/17/2011Anne is an absolutely amazing florist and a pleasure to work with. Anne provided the flowers for our April 30th wedding and exceeded my expectations. I am a believer of hiring a florist because of their style and expertise, so I did not have an exact picture in my mind of what we wanted. We didnt go in insisting on expensive orchids imported from the tropics or anything particular like that. Instead, we just told her we wanted current, spring blooms in bright colors to match our wedding, and we provided her with mason jars and antique bottles to match the vibe of our reception. Anne truly understood our rustic vision, and delivered stunning flowers. My bouquet was exactly what I wanted, even though I had no idea what that might be! We got so many compliments from our guests.
If you are expecting to go to a big florist shop and meet, don't be surprised that Anne works out of a studio attached to our house. We had a wonderful, comfortable consultation at her home where she provided us albums of photos to look through. She is so down to earth, and I felt like I had known her for years!
Anne was very flexible and easy to work with, and understood we were working with a budget. When we had to add on last minute corsages and a flower girl headband, it went off without a hitch. Everything was stunning- I would highly recommend Anne.

Shea Sent on 04/26/2011Anne did an amazing job on our wedding! Her flowers were gorgeous and she brought a lot of ideas to the table during the planning stage. She was always available to discuss changes or suggestions and followed up very quickly with quotes and contracts. She has very reasonable prices for the work that she does and was able to plan based on my budget. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was to work with, she was a recommendation from a coworker and I have since given her name to several of my friends that are planning their events! -

My mom and I met with her a few times to discuss a variety of centerpiece options and discuss colors, flower varietals, etc. I don't know much about flowers, only what colors I wanted, and Anne was totally fine with coming up with ideas and helping make decisions.
I rate the quality of service a bit lower because the flowers on the day of were not quite as expected. There were a few boutonnieres that were not even close to open and were quite droopy, and the color scheme of the bouquets was also not what I had envisioned. We had discussed many purples, navy, and jewel tones, but I saw much pink and red throughout, even overwhelming the purple/boysenberry color scheme. In a winter wedding, it is possible that for the price Anne was unable to find as much of the color and vibe that I had envisioned; however, I hoped that there would be a bit more in line with my colors and overall vision. Even so, the bouquets and centerpieces WERE beautiful and did pull in some of my colors, so it was still a beautiful night and event. -
