Anne-Marie was the photographer for our April 30th, 2022 wedding in Northampton, MA (I'm horrible at writing reviews in a timely fashion, I know). We had an 8 hour package with Anne-Marie and a second photographer, as well as an engagement shoot. I cannot say enough good things about Anne-Marie. She was professional, kind, prompt, and SO flexible with any requests, including dealing with my two *less than camera ready* pitbulls during our engagement session. Her communication was consistent, she kept my mind at ease, and she captured some AMAZING photos of the day! Her style is artistic yet not overly produced, and I cannot say enough good things about the photos we have as keepsakes. Don't hesitate to have Anne-Marie with you on your wedding day! -

Anne-Marie shot our September 2022 wedding at the Alden Castle in Brookline. From booking all the way through post-wedding, she was so easy to work with. Not only is she kind, knowledgable, and professional, she is extremely talented. She works with a second-shooter and between the two of them, every last detail of our day was covered. We have such precious photos of everything from family and our ceremony, down to our table settings and signage. Our formal portraits are stunning. People gasp when they see one photo in particular that I will post in this review. Anne-Marie works expertly with not only lighting and color, but movement as well. I would describe her style as somewhere traditional with an editorial flair, so the work she produces to timeless and elegant. I cannot recommend her enough. Book her fast, because her calendar filled up quickly. -

Fabulous photos even with a short notice
My husband and I decided to plan our wedding celebration five months after we had to cancel it for the second time due to covid and Anne-Marie was luckily available. Although she couldn't find a second photographer on such short notice, she did a beautiful job capturing the day's magic! Her photos were beautiful, and she was always responsive and communicated well. Thank you, Anne-Marie! -

Professional, talented, flexible. All the good things.
My wife and I had a Covid-wedding. Original plans were well over 100 people, it became 45. Venue was cancelled, we moved the ceremony to a ski trail at Stowe, Vermont and a reception to follow in Williston, VT. All of these changes were last minute, and Anne Marie rolled with the changes gracefully and professionally. I’m so pleased to have had her and Robbie shooting our wedding. Photos came out great and she was quick with the editing. Would strongly recommend Anne-Marie Photography! -

We are incredibly happy with our engagement and wedding photos! Anne Marie and her husband shot our wedding, and made sure to get all of the photos we wanted. We did "golden hour" photos just before sunset, which I would highly recommend. Our overall experience with Anne Marie was excellent; she was worth every penny! -

Amazing, so patient and kind!
Anne-Marie was wonderful, we were so lucky to find her in literally 2 weeks before the wedding. She really helped put me (the bride) at ease not only during this process but on my wedding day also. Our pictures were stunning and she was able to capture every moment I hadn't even thought to ask for. I am very self conscious of my smile and she was able to capture beautiful candid moments of my husband and I! I loved that she had a guide/ideas for poses as I did need guidance in that area. We we're truly so lucky and blessed to have her capture our day! -

Amazing experience and photos exceeded expectations
Anne-Marie was extremely flexible, friendly, and sweet during the entire booking and preparing process. She listened to what my vision for wedding photos was and created it. She arrived early, stayed focused, and caught every moment I asked for. The quality of her work is exceptional, for an extremely affordable price. The turn-around time for our pictures was shockingly quick, and the purchasing/printing process has been seamless. Anne-Marie was Amazing to work with! From the very first inquiry, she was always responsive and answered all of our questions. She was so down-to-earth and kept us laughing during our engagement session. Her superhero questions were a hit with my hubby-to-be! Hiring her and Robbie for our wedding was a winning decision. They arrived right on time and made sure to capture all of our special moments. Seriously- we are in love with our photos! Additionally, they have such a welcoming and calming vibe, which, on what can be a super crazy day- is invaluable. Anne-Marie was incredible to work with from day 1. She was extremely responsive and thorough, which is what won us over from the beginning when we were also considering other vendors. But even better than that, her pictures were beautiful. She struck the perfect balance of capturing all of the moments, without being in the way, or stealing us away for too long to take portraits. We got our photos back quickly, including a beautiful album which she helped us lay out using our favorite shots. I would recommend her to anyone! -

Once I spoke with her, her energy and kindness was amazing. She traveled from VT to CT for us, arrived early and scoped the area out and got right to work. She was such a pleasure to work with, and I am so happy that we chose to go with Ann-Marie. Even after the fact I had asked her to do an edit to a picture for me, and she had it back within hours!! We really just loved her and she's really become a friend!! I would recommend her to anyone!

Lovely editing style and good eye as a photographer, but customer service is extremely lacking and attention to detail isn't up to par
Overall, Anne-Marie has a really lovely editing style and has a good eye as a photographer. Her customer service is extremely lacking (even before the issues arose), and her attention to detail just isn’t up to par. I would not recommend her to capture your special day.
My husband and I are blown away with the experience we had with Anne-Marie. For the amount of money we spent on our photos, we expected a much higher level of service and a better quality product (the final photos and the photo album) in the end.
At first, we thought she was a great fit. We loved her style and the photos she had in her portfolio, which were all crystal clear and beautifully edited. We even thought she was great after she came and did our engagement photos. All was well leading into our 2020 wedding.
Of course, the pandemic hit and we had to postpone our wedding to 2021. She was flexible on that and accommodated us appropriately, though we were asked to pay more as her prices had increased. We did so without complaint. She was also very kind to keep our deposit for our original date and transfer it to the new one. Super nice and very appreciated.
Ultimately, we chose the Heirloom Package, with a total cost of $4,500 and in the end we were to have this experience (taken directly from her website): “This is our most popular package. You get a full 8 hours of wedding day coverage with 2 photographers. In addition, you also receive a private online gallery, custom digital drive, and an Heirloom album of your most treasured moments (32-images). You will receive timeline and planning assistance and location recommendations. This package also includes a engagement photography session.”
Throughout the time we booked up until the time of the wedding, Anne-Marie’s communication skills were lacking to say the least. I would email her and would not hear back until I sent a follow-up email at least a week later. Leading up to the wedding on October 16, 2021, I did not hear from her at all and had to reach out to her about a week before the wedding to make sure she had all of the information (times, location, etc) that she needed. At no point did we receive any timeline and planning assistance.
It wasn’t until this time did she let us know that her usual second shooter had been exposed to COVID, which, again, we had no problem with as we totally understood. However, it didn’t appear that she made any attempt to get another shooter to fill the spot. She told us that she would cover the wedding herself and it would be all good. There was no recognition on her end that part of our package was now void, and there was no offer to make that blow better.
The day of the wedding comes and again I hear nothing from her. She does arrive at the venue at 12PM after we have hair and makeup done. At this time she takes the flowers, rings, and invitation away to do some detail shots and get some establishing shots of the venue. The wedding proceeds and all is well. She seems to capture everything as promised. By 8PM, Anne-Marie is long gone without so much as a goodbye.
We received no sneak peeks (not discussed, but being a wedding photographer myself, I like to send three or four edited sneak peeks to clients within a week or so to let them know they’re on my radar) until she posted a few to her social media channels sometime in December. Shortly after she did so, we received the full digital album. Initially, we thought the images were gorgeous and caught the day very well. However, on closer inspection, we realized that all of the detail shots that she spent a significant amount of time getting (the flowers, rings, etc) were missing. Likewise, sorting through the images later to pick them for our album, we were disappointed in how many were oddly focused, somewhat out of focus, or were just plain unflattering.
Again, I reach out to Anne-Marie, she replies back that she will look into it, and once again it is a couple of weeks before I have to prompt her for a reply. Her reply? “Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate them. I have looked on all the memory cards and they are not there. I am baffled by it because I remember taking them too. I was at that little bar area, and I got ring shots on some cute little books, with your shoes, and on the flowers as well. Then I even took the rings outside and took a few shots of them on that adorable desk with the heart on it. It makes no sense at all. Every other picture is there, but not those. I have never had something like that happen before. Part of me is in such relief that nothing happened to all of the photos. If there was some kind of card error thankfully none of you r important photos were effected. But on the other hand I feel terrible that you don’t have those shots in your gallery.”
Again, there was no offer to make this right. There wasn’t even an acknowledgement that this was unfair, which was the most disappointing for my husband and I. At this point, as part of the package we paid for, we are missing photos, had no second shooter, and had no timeline and planning assistance. The only difference between what we received and the lowest package she offers is the album and the engagement session (which we had to pay an extra $200 to receive the images from).
At this point, I email her expression our dissatisfaction. I bring up the above and ask for a refund in order to downgrade the package from the Heirloom to the base one, and ask to cancel the album (I wish I did). Finally, her emails become prompt. She pushes back and offers a single 16”x20” canvas print or an upgrade album size (from 8”x8” to 12”x12”). Both she claims are valued at $995.
Now, my husband and I do photography and print albums through professional printers frequently. We understand that you need to up-charge for wall art, but I just bought a canvas that size for a friend from my photo lab and it was $90. We have also purchased an album before, which was under $200 for a 10”x10”. We felt as though all of these solutions were not necessarily an honest attempt at making an effort, but rather just an attempt to pacify us in hopes we stop asking for our money back.
What we were really looking for out of this was for her to realize that it was wrong that we paid for a second photographer and didn’t get one, we had photos missing from the day that were important to us, and that she had put in minimal effort to make this right. She didn’t even offer any sort of solution or recompense to make this right before we asked her to. Telling us that she can “recreate special moments from our day” isn’t really really great to hear as a client. The magic isn’t something we can really recreate.
Ultimately, she did apologize but I don’t feel that she every truly understood that we were upset about how she had handled the situation. We ended up going with the upgraded album, which took several months and a misprint to fulfill. Still, we are unhappy with the album cover as the font used for our names is Arial (and as a graphic designer, that is very upsetting) and you can barely read it due to the color of the album itself. Really poor design, to sum up a really poor experience. -

Unfortunately, I was not pleased with Anne-Marie and her second shooter. It seemed as though they wanted to be elsewhere. I did get a handful of pictures I thought were beautiful, but for the overall price I was extremely disappointed. There seemed to be no constancy. The vibe was completely off from the beginning and it was immediately noticeable to everyone around me. I feel horrible leaving a negative review, but for the amount of money you are going to spend to have these photos forever, I would highly recommend finding someone else. -

Do not hire!!! Beware!
This woman took our deposit and essentially ghosted us. Never heard from her once except days- weeks later when I’d reach out . I contacted her to schedule engagement photos which came with our package , we got a date down in the books and then it was crickets once again , I reached out a day before the photos were to take place and she cancelled on us and this this day, has not responded to reschedule. This was back in late April it is now almost September. We disputed our credit card charge and guess what, she’s not responding the the bank. Please do ur research when booking people … there were so many other reviews on the knot and wedding wire about her unprofessionalism but I had not done my research. -

Communication off the bat was an issue which was slightly concerning, but the quality of the engagement pictures were good so we overlooked it. Fast forward closer to the wedding and communication is non-existent, unless you send an email asking about payment details. We find out two days before the wedding that not only will she not be showing up to photograph our wedding, but that she was only sending 1 photographer, when our package and contract specified 2 would be provided. The photographer she sent worked her butt off, but only because she was doing the job of two people and shouldn’t have been in that position. We spent 2/3 of the night taking pictures instead of enjoying time with our family and friends. We finally get the pictures (late) and they didn’t include any of our family portraits. And our first dance! Oops! Those aren’t important at all. Then, complete radio silence. Still haven’t heard from her to this day after numerous emails and voicemails. Ghosted. Then I googled and found out why. Never received any of the prints or photo albums that were included in our package that we bought. The only positive to come out of it is we have a funny story about what a disaster our wedding photographer was.
