Drop everything you're doing and book Anna Schmidt Photography immediately! We seriously cannot thank her enough for helping make our wedding day one to remember! Not only did the photos from our engagement shoot and wedding turn out fantastic (!!!) but we really enjoyed spending time with Anna and her team. We are still hearing from our guests about how amazing, professional, and friendly they were to everyone. In going through our album, we love how she captured moments and memories that make you feel like you are transported back to the time and place of our wedding, in addition to the absolutely gorgeous portraits and drone shots! Anna is the best!

Where to even begin? Incredible. Just absolutely incredible. Anna and her team are absolutely phenomenal and you should without a doubt book them for your wedding! Starting with our engagement photos, Anna turned two awkward engineers in to people that can pose for beautiful photos! On our wedding day, Anna and her team were the definition of professional, making sure we got our family photos done AHEAD of time so that we had even more time for portraits of my now-husband and I. When they pulled out the drone to take photos, we almost lost it - SO cool!

Amazing wedding photographer

Anna and her team are truly the best! Anna was so attentive to all of our requests and details. She was a pleasure to talk to and bounce ideas off of. We loved getting engagement photos which really helped us feel comfortable and ready for photos on the big day! The big day… OMG, Anna and team was there so early! They were on it with creating and sticking to the schedule. They were attentive to every detail. There was always someone snapping away at every turn. The cherry on top was that Anna brought us a printed picture from earlier in the day during the reception and it was UNREAL. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Anna and team.

Top Notch Photographer!!

We loved working with Anna for our wedding. She is a consummate professional who was communicative, responsive, and easy to work with from start to finish—not to mention fun! We had a great time working with Anna and she put us both at ease right away, which was especially great since neither of us is photographed very often. We appreciated her creativity and vision, as well as her incredible efficiency. It doesn't take Anna long to see, set up, and get the shot she wants. We were amazed at how beautiful the photos were and Anna's ability to find the best poses, lighting, and creative ideas. The absolute best

I cannot say enough good things about Anna and her team! She did our engagement photos and shot our wedding, and we absolutely LOVED every shot she took from both. (We also got SO MANY compliments from family and friends). She is so passionate about what she does and truly has such an eye and talent for it. She really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and to perfectly capture the wedding day! Also, from start to finish, working with Anna was so easy and enjoyable-- communication with amazing (she would respond nearly instantly every time, with the most detailed responses). And, to top it all off, after working for over 12+ hours on wedding day, she surprised us and all our guests at the end of the night by having some of the photos, from just hours earlier, edited and played on a big screen in our reception room! And then yet again she surprised us by having a GORGEOUS preview gallery ready within 48 hours of our wedding. We were blown away by her thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and desire to make our day as perfect as possible! HIRE HER!!! I promise you will not regret it!

The best ever!

Wow! Anna’s team was immaculate! I hired her a year out and it was the best decision I made! She nailed it from our engagement shoot to the day of wedding. She even came earlier to make sure I had enough time to capture all of the memories. Her team was absolutely amazing and I even saw them starting to work on edits during their break at my wedding. She was the most flexible vendor, and provided so much more than just pictures- her smile and calm demeanor in itself was encouraging! She provided me with a sneak peak of ~50 pictures the next day- accommodated my style and mood of photography, and even offered to take us back to our original wedding venue to take pictures at a future date because we had to change our venue due to covid. I cannot recommend her enough! Look no further, Anna is the best!

Love love love!

It was very difficult to choose a photographer with so many options out there and interviewing so many people. However, Anna made things so easy! Out of all the interviews, I felt at ease with her like she's been a friend for many years. She has a way to make you feel comfortable which is super important when you have those intimate moments to be captured. For our engagement shoot, we were running really late due to traffic but Anna was extremely pleasant and flexible. Although we were late, she still managed to work in a good amount of time for the shoot. Anna and her team were fantastic at the wedding! She brought an assistant and a second shooter. What amazed me was all the little things that she brought to photograph with my jewelry and flowers that worked right into the theme! The wedding day was busy but Anna and her team worked seamlessly. We got previews quite quickly which was great to share and when we got all the photos, they were fantastic! Anna is such a talented and friendly photographer which makes your big stressful day a lot easier.

The BEST in the business

Anna is hands down the best wedding photographer you will ever come across. My husband and I got married in Sept. 2019- We started talking and meeting with Anna about a year prior. From the first time I started e-mailing with Anna to the moment we met, I knew we had landed just and all around wonderful, genuine person to capture our special day. Anna made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, answered all of our endless questions and made us feel totally at ease. Anna literally has a way of making you feel like you're a model when she is photographing you-even if you are the least photogenic person ever! When she sent our preview for our engagement photos- I was totally blown away with how INCREDIBLE her work was. Fast forward to getting our wedding preview photos back-instant tears. Anna is truly the best in the business! She made my husband and I feel so comfortable throughout the entire process - from the engagement photos to the day of :)

She was constantly professional & thoughtful! We never once felt like it was just "another job" or "another wedding" for her. She genuinely wanted to get to know us - as individuals & as a couple. She asked us about our story, how we met, how we got engagement, and the vision for our wedding. She helped us pick the perfect engagement photo locations based on our unique style & story. Her attention to details is truly invaluable.

To ensure that our wedding day would run smoothly, she worked closely with us to create the perfect timeline for the day of. She truly ran the show on our wedding day, but never once felt like she was "in the way". She knew exactly how to get all the right shots without taking over the space or making it feel inauthentic. She's seriously a gem!

And of course, her work is amazing!!!!!! We're so in love with our photos :) Also, a huge selling point for us, was how quickly she works! We had our wedding preview ready just a few days after & our entire wedding album just a few weeks after. Amazing!

Best in the Business

There is no doubt in our minds that Anna is the best in the business.

First of all, you cannot be the price for value you get. She puts her heart and soul into the work she does for you on your engagement photo shoot and the big day. There is constant communication leading up to the big day and never are you worried that she won't get the "perfect shot".

Anna's photos are above all else, she has an eye for it. One that you cannot find around here - I dare you to try. She has done our first photo shoot when my wife and I 'came out', she shot the moment that I proposed to my wife, she did our engagement shoot and of course our recent wedding. She always has a TON of photos for you to pick from, perfectly edited, and a 'sneak peak' ready within 12hours of the shoot! Final wedding photos were delieverd via email 4days after the wedding!! Name a photographer who does that?! (My cousins all waited a YEAR for their final photos with another photographer).

Anna and her work is priceless. You would be lucky to be able to book Anna for you wedding and you would be a fool not to try.

Amazing photos from a rainy winter wedding!

Anna was the perfect photographer for our big day in Annapolis! She was extremely professional and flexible with us throughout both the planning process and the wedding day, and we absolutely LOVED how the photos turned out. Our wedding day was very wet and rainy, but Anna made the best of it and came prepared with clear umbrellas that made for fun and beautiful photos. She also came and shot an hour of our rehearsal dinner because we did not have time to do an engagement shoot, and I love that we have photos from that night as well. She was AMAZING to work with--I would highly recommend her to any bride!!

Anna is a LEGEND!

Working with Anna was easily the most positive and seamless vendor experience with my wedding. She is so warm, professional, kind, and a pleasure to be around. That type of energy is SO important when you have a million things to worry about, you are bursting with emotion, and you are hoping everything looks perfect.

The engagement photo session was such a wonderful opportunity for us to get comfortable with each other, and she makes great use of that time. She was genuinely curious about our story, and that established connection made the wedding day so much more effortless. Her team is equally as amazing. They were not only there to take beautiful photos, but also quieted my worries and assured me our slight timing delay was no big deal. One member of her team even ran to the bridal suite to grab some things I had forgotten.

And now to the photos.. O-M-G THE PHOTOS!!!! These are easily my most treasured possession. Within 24 hours I had a "wedding photo preview" which included a couple shots from every key moment of the day - and many of these ended up being our absolutely favorites. Just a few weeks later, all the remaining photos were sent along. I have friends who waited over a month just to see a SINGLE shot from their photographer - not the case here! Every aspect of the experience with Anna is well thought out to provide the best service possible, and I couldn't recommend her strongly enough!!

Loved Anna

Anna was my favorite vendor that we went with! I knew I wanted to splurge on a photographer as my husband and I wanted to forego a videographer and Anna was well worth the money! She is the sweetest person, is very knowledgeable about her passion, and her photos are stunning. My husband and I do not like being photographed but she made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera during both our engagement shoot and on the wedding day. Our wedding photo preview was ready for us the morning after our wedding, I could not believe how quickly she turned them around. Cannot rave enough about her! 10/10, highly recommend!

My new hubby and I had the pleasure of working with Anna this past weekend. I have to admit I was nervous for professional photos as I had never done them before (we skipped engagement photos) and for some reason I feared that it would be uncomfortable/awkward. I was 100% wrong!!! Anna made me feel extremely at ease and beautiful the entire time! She made the process fun and light-hearted, yet we still got plenty of romantic "serious" shots. I've also heard stories of fellow brides waiting weeks or even months for turnaround on edits. Anna promptly had our gallery ready for viewing before the weekend was up!!! AMAZING. I've already browsed them a million times and love every image. I can't express how thankful I am that we found her! Anna and her team are definitely worth it! Our photos from our wedding on July 7th turned out amazing and it was so much fun working with Anna. I cannot say enough great things about Anna and her team. Their knowledge of the Naval Academy and Annapolis made the planning process so much easier. If you are looking for someone who knows weddings at the Naval Academy then this is the right place. Anna responded to my mass amounts of my emails and information within a few hours and even helped me figure out the best places to take photos around Annapolis. Anna shot our wedding in January 2018 and she was amazing to work with and our photos came out beautiful. Days after the wedding I kept saying I can't believe these are from my wedding, they are so stunning! Being completely new to the wedding planning game as most of us are, and as I did not hire wedding planner, Anna went above and beyond to provide suggestions on planning the day and the schedule of events. She gave expert advice around the photos and beyond. Our wedding was on the coldest day of the year and our dreams of outdoor photos went out the window, but Anna and her team improvised quickly to get everyone to a new indoor location and the photos came out beautiful. It can be hard to manage a crowd of 20-30 people for photos when it is 5 degrees! Thank you for everything Anna!

My husband and I got married in May 2018. As an art teacher and artist myself, I was very particular about the way my wedding pictures would turn out. I couldn't be happier that we decided on Anna. She went above and beyond my expectations. Anna and her assistant were incredibly pleasant, professional and accommodating from the moment they arrived at the venue on our wedding day. They flawlessly captured each moment of the day. Anna was responsive and focused in on which details and photos were important to my husband and I throughout the day. When there was no one around to assist with the cake cutting, Anna stepped in and told us exactly what to do. She made the day comfortable and enjoyable, like she was a friend even though we had never met! The pictures really speak for themselves, and I couldn't be happier with the quality. Anna Schmidt is an absolutely amazing photographer! As soon as I saw the quality of pictures she took from her website and Instagram, I knew she would be the perfect photographer for our wedding. Anna was simply perfect. I'm so happy she was the photographer for my wedding, and she truly delivered in so many ways. She's kind, fun, calm and organized, and it was honestly like having another friend at the wedding. Not only did she deliver the most beautiful images I could have possibly imagined, she got a whole sample album to us the day after the wedding! She took all of my notes about what I wanted, but at the same time, used her expertise to make sure there were a variety of photos. My new husband and I needed some direction, and she gave it us to make sure we didn't look stiff or lost. She also gave us space and opportunities to just be our goofy selves! Everyone who has seen my photos has gushed over them, complimenting Anna's work, and for good reason!

Our engagement photos came out perfect. She is so creative and also willing to listen to your own personal thoughts and visions. We brought a few of our own photo props and we she was very open and willing to make them work (e.i. Flag and & sign). It turned out great! She was VERY helpful when we had no idea how to pose, which made it much more enjoyable for us. I highly recommend her!! You will not be disappointed!

Anna is the BEST and was by far my favorite vendor!!! From the day I met her, I knew I wanted her as my photographer. I met with several other photographers, but her personality stood out to me right away as somebody I wanted around me on my big day- in addition to her amazing photographs! At our initial meeting she seemed genuinely interested in what we were planning and seemed excited to be part of it. We shot our engagement photos in the fall and had to change the date once because of weather- she was extremely flexible and made sure everything worked out perfectly. They turned out amazing! Throughout the wedding planning process, I even reached out to her for advice on our floor plan and vendor recommendations, since she has worked in our venue before and I simply trust her to give me honest feedback. On the day of, I could not have been more happy with Anna and the team that she brought with her. They made sure to get photos of all of the small details we had planned, as well as managing our large bridal party and families for formal portraits. She had our preview ready for us THE NIGHT OF THE WEDDING, which was unbelievable! We can't wait to see the rest of the photos, as the preview was amazing and I could not be happier that we chose Anna as our photographer. Is it possible to give 10 stars? Without a doubt, hiring Anna was one of the top decisions that I made as part of my wedding planning. From Day 1, Anna exceeded my expectations in literally every respect. Prior to the wedding, her turnaround time to my emails with questions, flexibility with respect to my requests, and organization with respect to the shots I wanted to take was an OCD/type A girl's dream. The experience working with her was so great that I actually wouldn't have regretted it if the pictures turned out just ok, but my obsession with Anna just got stronger and stronger.

My husband and I are not naturals in front of the camera. He's impatient, and neither of us are naturals with respect to posing for pictures. That said, Anna made us feel at ease, told us what to do, and hit the shots we needed quickly and efficiently. She had the list of requested photos with her at all times, but also proactively recommended different shots with good lighting/background that we hadn't even considered. She got candids and shots of all the little details to really capture the experience.

But it gets better! After the wedding and reception, she had edited and sent us ~100 wedding preview pics by the time we had made it home from the after party. This was not even remotely requested, but I cannot tell you how special it was to be able to go through the pictures the next day with my new husband, family, and friends. And they are so, so beautiful. I am so incredibly happy to have had the experience working with Anna. The pleasure was literally all mine!

Anna is the best! She was super flexible when we wanted to change the date for our engagement pictures. At our wedding she was amazing. I had some serious unexpected bridezilla moments thanks to weather but she dealt with me and got amazing photos...even in the rain! She even asked the florist to wait around before removing the outdoor chuppah so we could get a picture under it when the rain cleared. I emailed Anna fairly frequently with random questions and she was always very responsive. We couldn't have picked a better photographer. Even my bridesmaids are still talking about how much they love Anna!!!

Oh and best part: she had a preview of some of our photos to us within 3 hours after our wedding!

Stop looking around! Anna is it! Her and her team photographed our New Year's Eve wedding and our photos turned out absolutely fabulous! She met with us months prior to our wedding to get the vibe we were looking for and executed everything perfectly! She's very responsive, organized and has a true passion for what she does! She gave us the BEST idea of getting some rooftop photos since our wedding ran into the new year so that we'd have the city fireworks in the background! It is truly a one of a kind photo! Anna and her team were wonderful to work with! They made sure to capture just about every photo on our list while also capturing really special candid moments that made our photos feel unique. They always seemed to fly under the radar, I don't think I saw one photographer during the wedding ceremony, and yet they captured perfect shots of us. Anna was amazing to work with for our engagement photos at the monuments. She actually made all our engagement photo dreams true! Anna suggested we do a 5:30am shoot due to lighting and the the lack of tourists and it couldn't have been more perfect. Anna captured our true personalities and guided us through different poses that all turned out amazing. She is so bubbly and has such a great personality to work with. She also was extremely familiar with the monuments and positioned us to get the most perfect shots of us and the monuments in the background. She is very patient and has a great eye for photography. We hired Anna to take family photos in Annapolis in July. From the second I first contacted her, she replied within minutes. She was flexible with our preferences (we wanted outdoor photos but it was supposed to rain) and when it came time for my family, which includes two toddlers, to have our photos done, she was a dream come true. She captured beautiful photos (in the shade! It was 90+ degrees and humid and she made it tolerable!). She also had a way with my young niece and nephew and was VERY patient with them. I can't say enough good things about Anna. Thank you!!!

PS: We got a sneak peak of our pictures the night of the photo shoot! We got the whole album less than a week afterwards. Amazing.

Anna was amazing. After viewing her portfolio, we chose her because of her familiarity with Baltimore, her capture of emotions, and her efforts in being accessible and personal. When deciding between two photographers, one did a quick phone consultation, and Anna arranged to meet us at a coffee shop to discuss our ideas and plans. That made a big difference! We really liked being able to meet her and we immediately felt comfortable with her. She did our engagement photos and suggested the location, which was really pretty! We liked our engagement photos a lot but we felt a little awkward in front of the camera, simply because we don't take many pictures. Anna worked to make sure we were comfortable.

On wedding day, her and her second photographer were amazing!!! She captured so many amazing shots and we only have our preview! (we love all of them). We felt much more comfortable and it showed. Anna was constantly assessing the area looking for a great shot, and my family has all mentioned that they didn't even notice her there, but she still got some awesome shots! While her price was comparable to the other photographers we were looking at, we did pay on the upper end of vendors we saw available, but she was worth every penny. I really can't say enough about Anna, I will be recommending her to anyone I know getting married in the Baltimore/Annapolis/DC area and I'd hire her again in an instant.

Anna photographed our wedding back in mid-April and did an amazing job. She was one of, if not, the best vendor that we selected in planning our wedding. As someone who is not very comfortable in front of the camera, my new wife and I felt very relaxed thanks to Anna. She was able to capture all of the special moments of our day from the getting ready pictures, to the first look, ceremony and reception. Anna was amazing! She came up with really great ideas for photos and was completely professional and patient. She went over where she would be during my walk down the aisle and how she would maneuver around so I wouldn't be surprised. She took some incredible pictures. During the ceremony, I didn't even notice her taking pictures. She was not intrusive in the moment but also ensured she captured the need to have moments. My reception was a week after the ceremony and we wanted to have a couple of pictures from the ceremony for everyone who was not there could see us in our formal attire. She was able to get us amazing preview pictures the same day! I did not have any issues or bad experiences. Anna was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process! Anna was able to work with us to get what we needed within our budget, she was so enthusiastic and helpful throughout the entire process. We were left with no doubts as to what she was going to provide and even offered suggestions when we were unsure exactly what we wanted. We worked with Anna for our wedding in January in Washington, DC and could not be happier with our choice! We didn't have a big budget for a photographer, but Anna was flexible with her packaging. I enjoyed meeting with her and found her to be so sweet and accommodating. Most importantly, the photos she took were gorgeous. Our family and friends cannot stop talking about the photographs we've shared-- and many of them remarked they never knew she and her assistant were there, they were so discreet!
It was such a beautiful and meaningful day, and Anna's photos looked as wonderful as we felt. I asked for lots of candids, and she captured so many great moments. Anna is wonderful. She is professional, accommodating, fun, and makes you feel comfortable. My (now) husband and I had the pleasure of working with her for our engagement photos. She made us feel relaxed and was able to get "real" smiles and laughter out of us which allowed for truly timeless pictures.

We used her services again for our wedding which was a good move. Anna and I met prior to the wedding to talk out exactly what kind of pictures I wanted which kept things organized and easy. My husband and I hired Anna and her team for our wedding at the William Paca House & Garden on 09/19/15. They were professional, attentive, and friendly from the very beginning. We planned the entire wedding from California, and Anna was very good at working with us long distance.

On the day of my wedding I showed up with my dress at the venue with just half an hour or so to spare before the ceremony. I was worried about logistics and details and things falling through the cracks, and I was not in a frame of mind to pose for photos, even though I'd been looking forward to it for months, which made me feel even worse. But Anna put me at ease and told me exactly what to do. This fixed everything in my mind, as I was able to simply concentrate on being in the moment. I was very impressed with the way Anna took charge but was not overwhelming or bossy. She has an excellent temperament for those crazy wedding days.

She knew the location and which areas of the venue would serve best. She had creative ideas for posing and arranging things that really added to the memories of the day. She captured the little details that our family & friends had worked on for months - all the little things that made the day really special and personal. I'm also very impressed that she was able to capture not only the grandeur of the venue's landscape (my personal favorites are these) and excellent portraits that will be hanging on our walls forever, but she also captured those photojournalistic shots - intimate moments between family and guests that I didn't get to see because I was busy running around and greeting guests.

Also very impressive was the speed with which the photo collection was completed for us.

I knew Anna from working together a few years ago and was familiar with some of her work through coworkers who used her for various events in the past. When my fiancé and I got engaged, she reached out to me to express her interest in being our photographer for our big day. I knew that I wanted to consider her immediately just from what I knew of her as a person.

When we met to talk about the day, she came prepared with examples of her work over the years and different options suitable to our needs. She asked me questions about my vision for the day and what I was looking for out of the experience and I quickly realized that there was no other option but to go with Anna. Not only is she extremely professional, she is easy to work with, responsive, and eager to help you feel like the experience is unique to your style. AND the quality of her work is top notch!

Our engagement session was FUN!! My fiancé and I were able to be ourselves and interact naturally with guidance from Anna to ensure we had the results we were looking for. The experience and pictures far exceeded our expectations and friends and family continue to talk about our shoot.

The wedding planning process can be completely overwhelming. Anna has a disarming style and approach that allows you to just relax and forget she is there taking your picture, which is how the best, most intimate, honest moments get captured. From a planning and preparation perspective, she made things incredibly easy. She wanted to know about the details that mattered most to us and was excited about those details. We used Anna for two days to shoot our wedding ceremony, dinner, and reception the following evening. She delivered a seamless set of photos across the two evenings that significantly exceeded our expectations and we could not be happier with the moments that she captured. I cannot speak highly enough about Anna’s work. Incredible!

What can I say about Anna? She is incredible. We had to reschedule our engagement shoot three times thanks to the monsoons we've been having, and she couldn't have been more accommodating and understanding. That's very helpful when you just want things to go smoothly, and it seems nothing in the wedding world is that way. More importantly than her flexibility and responsiveness is her art. Her photographs are breathtaking--she even was able to make my fiance look like he wanted to be there for the shoot (and he was sick and he's not a photo person!). She had a sneak peek of the pictures up for us that very same night, and the entire album back to us within a week. Many of my friends who were married in the past few years actually said they wished they could have had Anna for their events, the way our photos turned out. I was so nervous to hand over creative control to a photographer, as I'm usually the one behind the camera capturing the moments for myself and my friends. However, after our engagement shoot, I know we are in great hands for our wedding next year.

Anna was a complete joy to work with. I knew right after meeting with her that I'd like her to shoot our wedding. She just seemed like such a warm, thoughtful person - and I figured it's important to like your photographer since you spend so much of your wedding day with her!

I'm happy to say that our first impressions were exactly right. I'd been kind of worried about being photographed so much, since I'm not actually a model. And I wanted the getting ready time to really be a time to bond with my bridesmaids, not a long photo shoot. I felt comfortable right away with Anna when she arrived! She had great ideas for shots and was great at directing all of us. From the getting ready pics through the reception, Anna and her team were so easy to work with, and happy to go with the flow as we made some last minute changes to the shooting list.

And most importantly, the photos look great! We actually received a preview the night of the wedding, which was unexpected and very impressive! Everyone looks their best, and there's lots of wonderful candid shots, which is exactly what we were looking for.

I wholeheartedly recommend Anna as a wedding photographer. I'm so glad that we'll have these wonderful pictures to look back on, and that getting the shots was a fun process.

Destination wedding? No Problem. Words can truly no express the appreciation that my husband and I owe Anna. If someone a year ago would have told me that my photographs would blow my expectations away I would have laughed, as a laid back bride a photo is a photo right? We used Anna Schmidt Photography for our engagement photos in Fells Point. She was really easy to work with and did a great job of scouting out different sites in the area that looked great in photos, as well as guiding us in different poses. The photos turned out amazing and there were so many we liked! She was very quick in providing us all of the digital copies within that same week. She also offers the option of purchasing a guest signing book with our favorite photos that we can't wait to use on our wedding day. Would definitely recommend her!

Prepare to fall in love... With your photographer! Anna will charm you with her personality and her beautiful photographs. She's a joy to work with and can make any harried bride feel at ease. Before photographing our wedding, she scoped out our venue and the surrounding area for picture settings. She also replicated the poses that I sent her for inspiration, even printing them out for reference on the wedding day. She posted a preview of our photos within 12 hours of the event's end and also finished completely editing our photos 5 weeks earlier than the advertised time frame. We hired Anna to do our engagement shoot and loved working with her! Anna made it so easy for us to be ourselves and truly knew how to capture our relationship and personalities. Anna is amazing and has a true passion for photography. She is so much fun to work with and she is responsive with emails and texts, as well as scheduling meetings. We knew the minute we met her that she was perfect for us! Our engagements pictures were beautiful and we were so excited for her to photograph our special day. On the wedding day, she made me feel at ease and not the least bit self-conscious of being in front of a camera all day. Selecting Anna to be our wedding photographer was one of the best choices we've made so far! We recently did our engagement photos and are SO PLEASED with the work that Anna did. A few very important things to note:

- My fiance doesn't know how to keep his eyes open during photographers, seriously. This has been a problem for years. SOMEHOW Anna was able to capture him with his eyes open our engagement photographs. That is some amazing work there.
- Anna did amazing planning work for our engagement shoot. We did a sunrise photo shoot at the Tidal Basin near the Jefferson Memorial. She emailed me two weeks before to give me some ideas about what to expect, what to wear (and avoid wearing), where she wanted to focus the shoot and where to park. She made what could have been an annoying DC parking situation, very easy! I am so impressed with the planning she did.
- Anna is really good about providing her opinion, but ultimately leaving it up to the client to decide things like what to wear, how to pose, and where to do photographs. I value her opinion as a photographer, but it is nice that she valued my opinions as well.

Now that I have seen the engagement pictures, I am SO GLAD that she will be doing my wedding and have no doubt the pictures will be fantastic! Thanks Anna!!!

Anna is absolutely fantastic!! She's not only an incredibly talented, creative and skilled photographer, but also a wonderful person to work with. Unlike other photographers that I interviewed, Anna was interested in what I felt was important and not necessarily what she has done in the past.
She had fantastic ideas. She was very positive in wanting to accommodate my "wish list" pictures instead of being pessimistic that it could not be done as other photographers said.
My venue was challenging (down town Annapolis). Anna was great in coming up with different background ideas. She was also very organized, one example was that she printed up sample pictures to show us exactly how we should pose in certain situations, this was very helpful.

Anna is amazing. Not only did she meet with us several times leading up to our big day, but she also made a 2 hour trip down to our celebration site with me to survey the area and brainstorm some photography ideas. We hired her for 6 hours and she showed up earlier than requested the day of the event and stayed later than what we paid her for. Anna even worked with us to make her services available and affordable, even on our budget. All of our guests were so impressed with how dedicated and thoughtful she was throughout the entire night. People kept telling us, "are you sure there aren't two of her? I keep seeing her everywhere!" We wanted to do an off-site photo shoot after our ceremony while our guests were enjoying cocktail hour and she drove us to that location, took AMAZING photos, and drove us back. I never knew that the most stressful day of my life could also be the best day of my life, but Anna's photos capture every (and there were many) happy moment from our day. She has such an eye for catching those split-second glances, gazes, smiles, and hugs that happen too fast to even register, but thanks to Anna, we can keep them for a lifetime. Anna was a joy to work with on my wedding day, and in our preplanning. She seamlessly integrated herself into my wedding (not an easy accomplishment with only 10 guests). Furthermore her preplanning showed that she has really listened and understood what style of photography I wanted. Anna was the photographer for my son's wedding. It was a very intimate affair (only 11 people including the bride and groom) and I was so impressed at her ability to be unobtrusive. She blended into our space and was able to capture fantastic expressions and moments. Anna was so very in tune with our group and seemed to have the camera pointed in the right direction at every time.

The pictures Anna took with JUST the bride and groom were sweet, peaceful, romantic, and warm. These are shots they will look back at for years to come and they will smile.

Best of all, the photos were cleaned up and sent to us within DAYS of the wedding. I've never gotten photos back so fast from a professional photographer. It was fantastic!!

Anna did a fantastic job taking portraits, group photos and photos of my dental office for our website. She was very professional, on time and took the time to make sure we had the photos we wanted.

Anna is a true talent! From start to finish she was very helpful. My husband and I had a fusion wedding in Hunt Valley, MD. She was able to accommodate all of our needs as well as both of our families expectations. She and her assistant did a great job at capturing the special candid moments during the day as well as taking really REALLY beautiful portrait style photos with my husband at Oregon Ridge park and at the venue. Not only did she do a wonderful job on the day of, but she did an amazing job with editing and turn around of the photos. The photos are spectacular.

Simply put, Anna is amazing! Her photography is absolutely gorgeous and I could not be any happier with our wedding photos! My fiancé found Anna and hired her to take our engagement photos. As a guy, I was not too keen on the idea of engagement photos but after having them done, I would highly recommend Anna if you are engaged and want some pictures done. Anna met with us ahead of time to get a sense for what kind of feel we wanted for our pictures, and she captured so many shots that looked like they were out of a magazine. She was even able to incorporate our dogs into some of the pictures, which turned out awesome. My fiancé was so thrilled to be able to use the pictures for our “Save the date” cards (a concept which I also didn’t initially understand but turned out to be nice), and they came out really well. We got so many compliments from friends and family who saw the save the date pictures and got extra excited about our wedding day. We also purchased a really nice photo book from Anna that we used on our wedding day for guests to use as a signing book.

I cannot express how amazing a photographer Anna is! Anna took my wedding pictures for my special day this past September. From the moment we met with Anna, we could tell that she is extremely passionate and detailed about photography through examples of her past work and how she spoke about what she could do for us. Throughout the whole process, she was always very prompt and responsive whenever we had questions, and was very willing to work with us to capture the particular style of photography that we were looking for of our wedding day. I could tell that her upmost priority was to make sure we had the most beautiful pictures possible from the most important day of our lives, and she delivered that 100%.

Anna even took the time to travel to the venue ahead of time to come up with creative shot ideas. It was so nice to not to have to think through lighting, and where to stand, and how to look "good" in our wedding pictures. The day is stressful enough, but I felt as though I could just live out my wedding day naturally and Anna and her wonderful assistant Lauren were there capturing everything seamlessly, and unobtrusively.

I was also shocked how quickly I got to see our wedding pictures. I know of other brides who wait months on end to see even just one preview from their wedding pictures, but Anna had everything done promptly and there was honestly not one bad picture. I was blown away at the quality of all of her shots. I am so happy that I went with such a great photographer.

Our family and friends cannot get over the pictures either, and gush every time they see the photos and look back on that day. We especially love the wedding album that we purchased from Anna. At first we were uncertain if this was needed, but we loved the high quality and customization of the book and figured it was a once in a lifetime purchase. Everyone loved the pictures and we are having a hard time picking our favorite because there are so many good ones. :) We also had the pleasure of having Lauren (Anna's photography assistant) join us on our special day and she was extremely creative. We had a look at Anna's website and knew we wanted her as our wedding photographer. Other photographers had photos with just as high quality and good technique, but seemed too "removed" from the event. We wanted someone who was engaged with the event, whose photos look like they were dancing with us right in our circle of friends. Just a quick browse through Anna's gallery and we noticed right away her photos weren't detached and stagey, but spontaneous and really allowing her subjects to be natural, sometimes facing away, or capturing a moment of couples mid-conversation. We were impressed.

I met with Anna for an initial consultation and we talked for an hour and she brought along sample photo books she had put together. She asked great questions from "How did you and your fiance meet?" to logistical questions like "How many people are you expecting? Is there space to set up additional lights if needed?" Having worked in entertainment and event planning, I appreciated that she was considering these things so early on.

Our next meeting was the venue a week before the wedding. On the day-of, Anna & Lauren were completely chill, very professional and friendly. We had family members help to corral together our extended family (like herding cats!) and Anna & Lauren remained completely calm in the midst of all this. About 20 minutes before they left, they checked in with us to see if there were any people we wanted to get special photos with. I was able to get some wonderful shots even in those last few moments.

Our first batch of preview photos came through FAST! I was amazed; and beyond that, I was so enthralled with how she and Lauren really captured the spirit of the day. Nothing seemed static or uninteresting- and they captured all those moments that we missed. It's a great surprise to see all the moments you weren't a part of. Just beautiful & like a present of memories!

I would book Anna and Lauren for another event without hesitation. Absolutely!

Anna Schmidt is incredible when it comes to taking photos. She did photography for my sisters wedding and the photos all turned out great. She also did some additional shoots afterwards for our family and they all turned out wonderful including my sisters new born.

She is professional, incredibly nice and easy to work with. Everything that a photographer should be. I would certainly highly recommend her and hire her as a photographer your next event!

Anna took engagement photos for my fiance and I recently and we are so pleased with the results. Her professional skills with the camera were clearly evident. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the shoot and showed us the progress of the photos which was really great. We enjoyed the photographs so much that we have asked Anna to be our wedding photographer as well!!

As a newly engaged couple you go through the motions of interviewing candidates to photograph your special day. From our first meeting (which Anna was organized, set up, and was super flexible with my hectic schedule!) Anna made me feel comfortable, confident, and like my thought, comments and visions were her top priority! Wanting to see her body of work in motion, she did our engagement photos in an unusual location – the center of a sunflower patch! Hearing this and the unusual location Anna took the challenge head on, bringing props, ideas and expertise! Her professional nature while photographing again made my fiancé and I feel like we were the most important couple ever.

We chose her for the second round of engagement photos @ Camden Yards and we chose her to move forward for our Destination Wedding in Cancun Mexico! A wedding photographer who travels and cost effective?! I WAS SHOCKED because you don’t get that. I trust her completely with our special day no questions asked. I look forward to not only this professional relationship but a long lasting friendship! HIGHLY recommended!

Anna's photos are exceptional I cannot even write a review to describe the amazing photos. She and her assistant were able to capture moments that I wasn’t able to experience on my special day. She was able to capture emotions one would not believe possible in a photo. I had a preview gallery the very next day.

Anna took me and my fiance's engagement photos at Camden Yards and we couldn't have been happier with the overall experience. It was my first "photo shoot" so I was a little nervous, but right away Anna put my nerves at east. Knowing that me and my fiance loved softball, Anna came up with the idea to shoot the pictures at Camden Yards, home of the Orioles, and she set the whole thing up. She even came up with a long list of picture ideas (thank goodness, because I am not that creative!) After our session, Anna sent us the link to the photos that night and even gave us a CD of them. We couldn't have been happier with the way they turned out, and all of our family and friends keep asking about the amazing photographer! I would definitely recommend Anna to all- it was such a fun experience!

Having Anna as our photographer for our wedding day was a great choice! She was very flexible, willing to come before the ceremony to take photos of everyone getting ready. The price was right, and Anna maintained a balanced level of professionalism and friendliness throughout the day. She was excited for us and that showed through her photos. She had lots of great ideas for where the bridal party could stand to get great shots. I was very pleased with how everything turned out!

My now husband and I booked Anna to do both our engagement and wedding photography. She was more than accommodating for our unfortunate weather situations making sure we were pleased and got the shots that we wanted. She is a very talented and passionate photographer that I would highly recommend her for any occasion. Her pictures not only capture the special moments but they are done beautifully and artistically. These days with nice cameras anyone can take high resolution images, but it is Anna's artistic eye that make her images so breathtaking.

I came to Anna for my engagement photos and we were so happy with our images! Aside from the fact that Anna is skilled at every aspect that goes into photography, the experience itself with Anna was really a pleasant one. I am not a very creative person but had a rough idea of the kind of theme I wanted for my photos. Luckily, Anna somehow could envision exactly what I wanted without me explaining much, and used her creativity to take us to Washington, DC, a sentimental location for my fiance and I and take photos in front of famous landmarks in beautiful, sunny weather. The photos came out flawless, vibrant but nostalgic at the same time. Anna took great care when editing our images and made sure we received photos of the highest quality. She delivered a large number of photos for us to choose from, so we had quite a nice selection. Anna's all smiles and so fun to be around as well! :-) You can tell that she really loves doing this. If you are getting married in the DC area, I highly recommend Anna Schmidt Photography! You will see for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

When my fiancé and I decided to have engagement photos taken, we agreed that we would only choose Anna Schmidt. Anna is beyond talented, patient and an overall great person. I felt so comfortable during the photo shoot; I totally let my guard down with her. She is extremely creative as well and has amazing ideas as to how to get the perfect shot. When it comes to a photographer recommendation, I would only recommend Anna Schmidt.
