Anna Joys the BEST Destination for you Dress

Anna Joys is amazing! I got the most perfect dress there. The service is great and they work with you! The dress came in perfectly! I had moved so I took the dress somewhere else for alterations (MISTAKE). The dress was way to small and I was worried it couldn't be fixed. SOOO I took the dress back to Anna Joys because I knew I could trust them. Not only did they fix it, they spent the majority of the day working with me to not only make it fit but make it perfect.

Now I am only going to use Anna Joys for all of my dress needs. I got my bridesmaid dresses there too. Their dress selection is unbelievable. So glad I found this gem. 5/5 would recommend!

Anne was just fabulous! She fixed my dress that was originally messed up from another tailor and charged a much more transparent rate. I will forever use her and send clients her way. She really listens to your wants and needs and knows a lot about fabric in order to fix. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a wonderful experience with Ann! I had a dress in mind and just didn't find it on the hanger. So Ann guided me through a catalog and I ordered my dress. I was apprehensive, but with her many years of experience I got the dress of my dreams and only needed minor alterations...less than 50$ worth of alterations! I highly recommend them!

Wish I had more space to list all Ann did to make sure my daughter found her perfect wedding dress. She welcomed us to her store and asked my daughter to describe her perfect dress. After trying on several dresses, Ann was able to see what qualities in each dress looked best on my daughter. Ann was very patient and honest with her opinions that was asked for as we went through this process. Ann's experience and attention to my daughter's wants, size, style, and our budget, allowed us to order a dress that needed only a minor alteration and made us both very happy. Because of our experience with Ann at Anna Joy's, I would recommend you visit her when you are searching for your perfect dress. Thank-you again, Ann.

I had a wedding dress that i was told could not be modified to fit me. When i took the dress to anne she was able to totally alter it and with a very short period of time. I also looked at the wedding dresses that she had in her shop and they were beautiful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I live in Northern VA, but we're getting married at my parents' house in Shenandoah. I arrived Friday afternoon, and called Anna-Joy's on the off chance they could squeeze me in for a Saturday appointment. They were able to accommodate me and were so incredibly kind when we arrived. I asked if they had dresses under $1000, because otherwise it wouldn't have been worth the appointment. They have a large selection of beautiful gowns for those of us who have a tight budget. My consultant greeted us as we walked in, built my bridal profile and began pulling dresses for me to try on. The third one I tried on was perfect. It was stunning and I said yes to that dress! Ann and her staff are all very kind, professional, and wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend Anna-Joys to any bride in the Harrisonburg area.

The Owner and her staff listened to what I had in mind and worked with me to find just the right dress close to my budget. The dress needed lots of alterations since it was not available to order but the they had the perfect person available to do the job. The Dress was perfect and I got so many compliments on how much it fitted my style and the venue. It was absolutely beautiful!

My daughter was looking for a wedding dress. She only has Saturday's free. We dropped in without an appointment. They were kind of busy, BUT the owner got with us and pulled 5 dresses off the racks within my price range. She listened to the styles that we were looking for. We were open to her suggestions. We bought the dress that day. We had gone to her competitor (Reflections) first and was very disappointed with them. Apparently, we didn't make enough money to give us a second look. While we were there, another dissatisfied customer from Reflections came into Anna Joys to buy a prom dress for her daughter. She, also, left with a dress.

My experience with Anna-Joy's thus far has been nothing short of amazing! The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their inventory. I began my search for a dress at their sister store in another city. We had a wonderful experience there, but the location was rather inconvenient due to where I live. After learning of Anna-Joy's, which is much closer to where I live, I decided to go check it out. The first time I went in I didn't have an appointment. I was just planning on browsing the bridesmaids dresses to see what they had and then I was going to make an appointment to take some of my bridesmaids to try on dresses if they had a wide selection. The staff was incredible! Despite not having an appointment, they helped me with every question I had. They ended up helping me look for styles I liked in their inventory, as well as showing me catalogs from the designers I had in mind. They were so accommodating and helpful! That visit confirmed my decision to go through Anna-Joy's!

We are using Anna-Joy's for my bridal gown, and also plan to order our bridesmaids dresses from them, as well as groomsmen attire. I absolutely recommend this shop to any bride! They are truly dedicated to making your big day perfect and could not be more helpful! I have no doubt that the rest of my experience with Anna-Joy's will be just as amazing as what I have had so far!

In searching for my wedding gown I visited a total of four vendors in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Three of the vendors allowed me to only browse a very small selection of their gowns, and I am the type of person who wants to see everything before I make a selection. I am very open to all styles and looks and had no particular gown in mind.

Thankfully, Anna Joy's has a large selection of gowns on the floor, not to mention a huge selection of backroom inventory, but I immediately appreciated being able to browse the showroom on my own. I walked in without an appointment and they were very busy with two other groups, but I was still able to browse and then try on many dresses.

THE DRESS was the third one I tried on at Anna Joy's. All in all, I had tried on two dozen dresses at the other showrooms that day, but like I said, you know it when you see it! Ann had to alter the dress extensively because I didn't have enough time to order a dress and bought it right from the rack. She listened to my ideas and my needs and it fit me like a glove. I am sure she spent many, many, many hours altering that gown...with its three layers and yards of lace and sequins!

Another thing that impressed me about Ann is that she was not a high-pressure salesperson. There were so many beautiful attendant gowns and accessories in her showroom that I would have liked to buy, but a budget is a budget. The veils (I did buy one of these), tiaras, shoes, bouquets, jewelry...so much pretty bling! And girls, don't forget those foundation undergarments. Ann had many styles and each gown required a different one. I tried my dress without it, but spending that extra $66 was critical in keeping it all in place, if you know what I mean.

She and her assistant Carrie Ann made me and my fiance (now husband) feel so very welcome in the showroom, we always received individual attention, great advice, and heartfelt thanks. Thank you both for making our dream a reality!

I purchased my bridal gown from Anna Joy's this year and I have to say, I had a wonderful experience. I tried 4 other places before ending up at Anna Joy's and the experience I had there out-shined all of the rest. Too many bridal boutiques are all about getting you in and out of there quickly, not taking time with you and truly listening to your needs. I received excellent customer service at Anna Joy's and felt very special during my appointment. Best of all, I found the dress of my dreams within my budget!

I found Anna Joy's because there was a specific dress I was looking for. After arriving, I found other dresses and it only took 3 dresses to find exactly what I was looking for! The staff was very open to suggestions and able to accommodate my needs. After finding my dress, they were able to offer a payment plan for me. We also found bridesmaids dresses through them as well. They definitely have a wide array of styles. I definitely do not regret choosing them!

Anna joy's was a one stop shop for my gorgeous gown and alterations! My mother bought her dress here also! I must've tried on 15 gowns. While choosing my gown the staff had a wonderful personality, was very patient, and informative. I personally worked with Jesse, she was awesome. I had my alterations done here also and the seamstress (Sofia) was superburb to work with and VERY affordable! You couldn't even tell she had altered my dress 4 sizes, and even saved the reminisce of fabric so I could make hair pieces and a pillow out of! Would highly recommend this gown boutique!!

Before going to Anna Joy's I had read reviews and was a bit nervous about my appointment, but after the disasterous experience I had at Bridal Impressions I was willing to try ANYTHING. It seems that in the past few years the have probably changed personel because my customer service was over and beyond what I would have expected. My consultant Laura helped me find the perfect dress and was so accomodating to me and my all my guests. She is getting married soon and even gave me some good tips for how to save some money with projects i could do myself. All the staff was attentive, knowlageable, and so nice. They did not see annoyed with me, or my price range ( like bridal impressions). I had a great experience and would recomend them to everyone.

Anna Joy's is amazing!

Anna Joy's was the only place I actually went to find my wedding dress. They have an amazing selection! Jessica and Ann both were amazing with helping me find my perfect wedding dress. Jessica pulled so many dresses to help me determine style and fit I liked. Once it was down to two I liked Jessica and Ann discussed what the differences were depending on the look I was trying to go for. I discussed my wedding venue location with them and they provided excellent input on what dress would be more of a "wow" factor for the location. I love my dress! Jessica was even super helpful in helping my sister find her perfect bridesmaids dress even though we hadn't set up an appointment. The service I received was excellent and I felt like it was tailored for me and my day.

The fittings related to my dress were also great. Ann and Jessica paid attention to great detail when it came to altering the dress. They made sure I felt comfortable with the changes each time. I had sleeves added onto my dress and they checked each time to make sure they felt comfortable and to my liking. On the last fitting Ann even provided cute ideas to incorcorporate my mothers wedding gown since I decided not to wear it for my wedding.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Anna Joy's! If I have an event that I need a formal dress for I will make sure that I go back! You won't regret finding your perfect gown here!

Anna Joy's has great selections and when it came down to the wire, she was very helpful. However, my bridesmaids complained that she was not helpful or friendly to them.

Overall, I really loved the dress I chose here, and also the price we paid for it...but there were a few things lacking in the service from the store we purchased it from. This was the first and last place we ever went to look for a wedding dress, after finding that they carried a dress line (Mori Lee) that I had fallen in love with on an online dress site. When we first arrived, I began describing what I was looking for in a dress...and they allowed me to pick a few on my own, but also brought quite a few options back with them. I can't tell you how many dresses they brought back that looked EXACTLY like the last one I had tried on and didn't like. The other frustrating thing was that I would mention a particular detail that I didn't like in it, and they'd go pull another one to try instead that nearly always had that exact same detail that I had JUST said I didn't like. Finally, after politely trying on probably 20 dresses, my best friend went and looked through the racks herself, and found the exact dress I had seen online and liked (even though we'd described it to the staff upon arrival, somehow this dress, nor one similar, had made it back to the room) and it was "the one." Love at first sight. Just frustrating to realize how much time we spent there relying on their professional help, when we could have more easily done it on our own, in the first place. For a while over the next few months, the store was a gem. They were great about getting back to us when things we ordered arrived, and flexible with times to have us back to try things on. We ended up getting the bridesmaids dresses here as well, so many fittings were required for our bridal party. However, on the event of my final fitting, we had an appointment that was made through the store at Anna Joy's to meet with the seamstress (who is WONDERFUL). When we arrived, there was a handwritten note on the door saying that the store had been closed early with no notice, because the owner was on vacation (apparently the girl who was covering business for her had decided not to stay because it was a slow day...but didn't think to check the appointment book first.)--during REGULAR business hours! Did I mention I live 2 hours away and only get one day off a week? Thankfully the seamstress who was meeting us there, had the dress with her because she'd been working on it at home the night before, and allowed us to come back there with her for the final fitting. Another girl who was arriving at the store for her dress wasn't so lucky--hers was locked inside, and the seamstress had no way of getting in. Good thing she had ours, or I may not have been able to have my dress in time for the wedding! This was my last day off before the rehearsal dinner day. Needless to say we were lucky and able to avoid the biggest possible disaster thanks to the seamstress happening to have it with her. Although I really loved the dress I got here, and the bridesmaid dresses as well, I don't think I would recommend this shop to anyone else. Aside from an okay selection of dresses, the customer service left a little to be desired here...and we would have avoided some serious frustration by working with another company. The seamstress however, was phenomenal...and although she seems to be affiliated with the company, she also does her own work. HER, I would recommend very highly.

After going to Anna Joy's and every other bridal store in the area, I decided on Anna Joy's because of the designers they carried. They had the dress that I had found while in another city helping a friend pick out her wedding dress. The price was decent, but when I went in to try it on I found two dresses I liked and when I showed interest in the dress I decided to wait a day and go back to decide and order. I felt that there were some scare tactics in telling me that the price may go up or the dress would be discontinued, to make me buy the dress that day. When I went back two days later the price had gone up (the tag had been hand written and raised the price only by $50, and they missed covering up one of the price tags that had the lower price so I still got the lower price.)

I had no issues ordering the dress, they were able to let me try on a different dress with a similar style in the size I wanted to order to see what size I would be. As usual, wedding dresses run small and Measurements said I would be a size 12, when I wear a size 4 or 6. But the girl helping me took her time to make sure I was comfortable with the size I ordered (size 8).

What I had issues with was getting a veil. Back in the beginning of March, A few months after I got the dress and after I had it altered/hemmed by an outside seamstress, I took the dress back in to pick out a veil. I decided on one, but when I went to order it they couldn't find any tags about it or prices. They said they would call with the information. I have yet to hear from them still, and the wedding was last month in August and I had asked about it in March. Needless to say, I got a veil somewhere else, and if you need attention you need to remind them.
Otherwise, the dress buying process went fine and they have a great selection.

AnnaJoy's was the worst experience I've had through out the wedding. This is my first time being married so that was the first time I've ever went to try dresses on. Everyone was nice to me and my family and after we purchased my gown the lady's that worked there was nice but the owner was very nasty and rude every time I would go in there for an appointment. She told me a couple of times that I needed to lose weight which was rude and disrespectful and also really hurt me when I thought a bride is suppost to go over feeling beautiful and leaving beautiful but that's not happened at all. When I went over for fittings the owner was horrible to me. When I went to pick my dress up she said she steamed it but it did not look like it at all and she is the one that fitted my dress which I did not want because everytime I would ask for my dress before she did the alterations she said she already took it home to work on it. I didn't appreciate that. We ended up paying $208.00 for alterations when she did nothing to it. The reason why I say that is because I had a bad feeling about it after I got it home so, I took it to a lady where I live that does alterations and she showed me what she did to my dress and we we're so upset because she was suppose to take 4 in. off the bottom and all she did was folded it over like you would a t-shirt and put a little stitch in it that was not straight at all which was comeing out and the lady that had to fix my dress said I would have tripped over it. She also said she couldn't take anymore out on the sides to make it fit a little bigger well the lady I had fixed showed me that as well and said she didn't even touch that. My dress was also dirty and I don't know why. I would definatly NOT reccomend this store to anyone! I'm not the type of person to be like this and speak up for myself but this really put me over the edge esp. when we had to pay for alterations twice! NOT happy at all!!!

Unprofessoinal-avoid at all costs

went there this past weekend. Staff didn't know about appointment, told bride to pick out gowns, put in a room that looks like a former supply room. Told not to zip gown of cost would be $50 zipper charge. So unprofessional, dresses were dirty we left appointment early and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. One staff member started in May the other in "August. Not helpful or friendly. BAD EXPERIENCE, stay away

Terrible experience at this shop. I won't bore you with the details - I do not recommend anyone ever go to this shop. Zero professionalism, zero flexibility - zero returns - just awful customer service.

I don't even know where to start. From day one working with this store was a nightmare. I paid $200 to have my dress altered several times. Their seamtress was incapable of making the dress fit my very normal frame. They ended up taking all the alterations back out, but would not refund my money for them.

save yourself the aggravation...just do not deal with this lady! from the moment i met her, she was soooooooo unprofessional!!! i wish someone had warned me before i ordered bridesmaids dresses from her!!!!!!!!
