We could not be happier with our wedding and engagement photos! We had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the start, Angelika was friendly and brought such a positive attitude that immediately put us at ease. Neither of us are naturally comfortable in front of a camera (and my husband was dreading the idea), but Angelika was amazing at guiding us through poses and making everything feel relaxed and natural during our engagement shoot. The photos are amazing.
On the wedding day, Angelika’s calm and upbeat energy made a huge difference. I now understand the reason for a first look (instead of touch), but after the ceremony when we planned to take portraits and family photos, there was a lot going on. However, Angelika kept things running smoothly, captured all the important moments, and never made us feel rushed. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful. We are beyond happy with how she captured our emotions, the details, and overall feel of the day.
I am so grateful that we chose Angelika as our photographer for this significant moment. She delivered the sneak peaks quickly, and we had our wedding photos within three months of the wedding. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone talented, professional, and genuinely great to work with. We will cherish these photos forever! Thank you, Angelika! -

Simply THE best!
Hiring Angelika was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. She was the first and only photographer we interviewed, because I knew she was the right choice within 5 min of talking with her. She makes you feel comfortable and like you’ve known her forever, which is SO important if you’re shy in front of the camera like myself and my husband. She made our engagement session and our wedding SO MUCH fun by hyping us up and really making us look and feel beautiful. The finished album is amazing! We have received SO many compliments on both our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos—they are truly magazine worthy due to her talent. I would recommend Angelika to anyone for any occasion, but especially for your wedding. Having her by our side on our wedding day was truly a pleasure and I wish we could relive that day over and over again. Thank you Angelika, from the bottom of our hearts!! -

Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend Angelika for any photo needs! She is an absolute gem and easily one of our favorite wedding vendors! Angelika is an exceptional photographer, skillfully and gracefully capturing both our engagement and wedding day with her incredible eye for detail, candids, joy, and special intimate moments. Her positive energy and calm professionalism set her apart.
Angelika went above an beyond to support us throughout the process - I was initially very overwhelmed by choosing a photographer and had no idea what to do for an e-shoot or vision. From sharing inspo photos and suggesting outfits to proposing fantastic locations for our shoots, she played such a critical role in making all our choices easier. The questionnaires she provided before both the e-shoot and wedding day were invaluable, helping us clarify what was most important to us as a couple.
Communication was consistent, positive, and timely. She not only addressed all of our questions but also alleviated any concerns with brilliant strategies and contingency plans for unexpected situations, such as snow, wind, or even 60mph winds for our February wedding! (Turned out sunny and gorgeous!) The day-of, we felt confident Angelika could handle any hiccups that may arise, though, truthfully, we were blissfully unaware of any issues if there were any! :) The sneak peak photos were mindblowing, and she's helped us narrow down to create our wedding album, too!
Our family and friends also loved working with Angelika, and we all said we felt an instant connection with her. Having Angelika Johns capture such a special time in our lives was truly a blessing. We are eternally grateful for the memories she helped us to create. You absolutely want to choose Angelika for your own special day!! Hands down. -

Angelika photographed my wedding day (and many other life events!) at The Granary at Valley Pike. She is insanely talented and I truly believe she is one of the best around! She pays close attention to detail, effortlessly captures every second of the day, beautifully poses you in a way that isn't stiff or out of style, and delivers a gallery FULL of images to relive the best day of your life. She is so good at capturing the perfect mix of candid and in the moment photos, but also capture the classic portraits with all your favorite people. Not only is she an incredible photographer, she truly becomes your friend too! She is so kind and full of life, makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and helps with any questions you have on the wedding day and in the planning process. Angelika is one of the most amazing people I have ever met and I quite literally tell all of my friends about her. I could rave about her for days! If there's one right decision to make for your wedding day, it's to hire Angelika to capture your best day. 1000/10 recommend! -

We booked Angelika Johns Photography for our wedding and my husband and I would HIGHLY recommend her and the associates she has in her business. We worked with one of her associates, Kelsey, who was personable and detail-oriented, and made our photo process very easy and fun. Throughout the process, we had great communication from Angelika and we appreciated how thorough she was in getting information from us about our desires for what we wanted to capture at our wedding. We are in LOVE with our wedding photos and are so grateful that Kelsey captured our day as beautifully as we remember it. Angelika had a huge hand in coordination, editing, and communicating with us prior, during and after our big day, and she is just fantastic to work with. -

Angelika helped create our perfect wedding and I will recommend her to anyone I know who is getting married in the future. Angelika is a perfect combination of professional, approachable, and kind. We were able to do our engagement photos with Angelika before our wedding which gave us a chance to be comfortable with taking photos. She told us exactly what to do with such care and helped us have fun in front of the camera the whole time. This continued the day of our wedding and taking these photos were some of my favorites parts of the wedding day. The absolute best photographer and person!
From our first call with Angelika, she blew us away. She has a natural ability to bring excitement, energy and passion to every conversation, in a way that makes you feel like you're talking with a long-standing friend. Angelika is the most wonderful person to have at your side all day on your wedding. She takes the time to understand what is important to you as a couple, and captures shots that portray the natural fun, emotions, and beauty of the day. She is genuinely excited to learn more about your culture and traditions, and celebrate those moments. Everyone in our bridal party asked for the name of our photographer because she is so much fun to work with!
And now to talk about her work - Angelika's photos are stunning and vibrant. She always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to capture a moment, even though my husband and I swear we never noticed her standing there. She was flexible when the schedule changed on the day of our events, and checked in with us before leaving for the day. She got us sneak peak photos the weekend of our event, and sent our incredible gallery within 2 months. Do yourself a favor and choose Angelika to capture your day! -

Angelika is absolutely incredible at what she does. Her artistry and range of style from soft and romantic to bold and striking were what drew us to her portfolio and she did such a great job working with us to get the types of photos we'd been dreaming of! Working with her was quite seriously one of THE MOST FUN parts of the entire wedding planning process! She really took the time to get to know us as a couple and every part of the process with her felt so organized, intentional, and fun. She is a JOY to have around the day of the wedding which is so important on such an emotional and intimate day. I could not recommend her more, she is truly the best at what she does!! -

Angelika captures the timeless moments!!
I have had the privilege of working alongside Angelika for a few DMV weddings and I am awestruck at the images I have received from her. Each image is beautifully curated and highlights the sentiment in each wedding day. Having seen an array of different brides I can promise each wedding Angelika has captured is uniquely in light of the client.
Angelika is a must hire for your wedding photos if you value authenticity in your photos. Her kind spirit, calming nature, and presence on your wedding day will only elevate your experience. -

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my husband and I had to postpone our big wedding, but still wanted to get married on our original wedding date. I am so glad we did because it led us to finding Angelika and we absolutely LOVED working with her!! My husband and I were both nervous about having our photos taken since neither of us have ever had professional photos taken before. Angelika made us both feel so comfortable and we actually had so much fun taking photos. She went above and beyond for us - at one point I’m pretty sure she was holding my wrap, my facemask, and my husband’s keys all while still taking photos. We only had immediate family at our wedding, but every single person who was there has mentioned to me how amazing Angelika was and how gorgeous our photos are. Highly recommend! -

Angelika did a wonderful job capturing our wedding! We hired her for a big church wedding, but due to COVID-19 we had to entirely change our plans and she was incredibly flexible and accommodating throughout the process. She made us feel at ease throughout the day—it felt like she was just an extra friend there to cheer us on. The pictures were more than we could have asked for, and she even delivered a gallery of beautifully edited "sneak peaks" the DAY after our wedding. Just incredible! -

We worked with Angelika Johns for our wedding and working with her was a DREAM! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and the images that she captured for us were absolutely gorgeous. We loved that she offered an engagement session so that we could get comfortable with her and know what would work for us on our wedding day.
On the day of the actual wedding, Angelika and her second shooter had such wonderful energy and they were a joy to work with. They did a wonderful job of capturing both the traditional and the beautiful candid shots from the day. Cannot recommend Angelika highly enough! -
