I adore Jessica and feel so lucky to have worked with her and Anemone for our wedding! I gave her the very vague details that I was leaning towards “jewel tones” for wedding colors and I love dahlias and she created a stunning masterpiece. She understood our venue and what would work in the space. She crafted beautiful bouquets and tablescapes. And the installation on the mulberry tree was breathtaking. My daughter and I met with several floral designers in the Green Alliance space and we selected Anemone. Jessica and her team were amazing to work with. She quickly understood my daughter’s vision and vibe for her wedding and helped to refine it when necessary. She is fun to work with and her energy and passion for what she does shines through her floral arrangements. We really felt like she was fully invested in making our space as beautiful as we dreamed it would be. On several occasions Jessica went above and beyond what a typically florist would do in helping to create a beautiful environment in our industrial space. Wouldn’t work with anyone else!

Jessica was amazing to work with! I started working with her about a year before my wedding. Florals were important to me and I weighed carefully my options for florists before selecting Anemone. Jessica was always responsive and personable throughout our interactions. Early in the process we had a miscommunication around table count and she did so much to rectify the situation while keeping our vision at the center of her resolution. Anemone exceeded my expectations. I did not think florals were important to me, but anemone’s designs and floral arrangements MADE my wedding what it was. "Your wedding was so warm!"
Ask us how much we know about flowers? We will tell you we can identify red and white roses, and that's about it! ... Basically, we know ZERO about flowers...and imagine now with that "exceptional" knowledge trying to make a wedding look beautiful with flowers? Come on. Super intimidating. Extremely difficult, right? Wrong.
It took just phone call with Jessica at Anemone to realize she was it. Trust me, we had intro phone calls with a handful of florists who couldn't remember our names, seemed disinterested, or treated us like we were just another paycheck. Jessica, from phone call #1, was interested in our story, took copious notes, was HONEST... and REAL, and funny! ... she was also really sensitive to our budget, and even improved our vision. Our wedding looked BEAUTFIFUL ... like the kind that takes your breath away. Some of our guests said it "looked like a movie set", and "everything felt so warm."
Plus, the communication to get there was great. Jessica always had an idea and was always quick to respond to our questions.
Basically, "the florist" was the area we were the most concerned with...and after one phone call with Jessica ... it quickly became the part that we were most comfortable with.
We would recommend Anemone 1000x over!

Just go ahead and reach out to set up your first appointment with Jessica at Anemone right now. My wife and I went into this not knowing anything about what kind of flowers we wanted at our wedding. Jessica sat down with us and showed some examples of previous work they had done, and we talked through some ideas. She and her team put together an amazing package for us that really took advantage of the venue we chose.
On the day of our wedding, everything was run so well and we didn't have to think about anything. We got so many compliments on the floral design from our wedding guests and the photo wall was a big hit.

Jessica from Anemone is a genius! As a possibly too-relaxed bride, I didn't have a ton of material going into the process but she was able to translate my vague pinterest board and love of galaxy orchids into a gorgeous setting. After having to cancel our wedding in 2020 and ending up eloping instead, we asked Jessica to create some centerpieces and accents for our post-elopement party! The flowers were gorgeous and felt very seasonal and she was very easy to work with through the whole extensive process! She was flexible in letting us to use our deposit from our original contract, which we appreciated after not having that option with all our vendors! I would recommend Anemone wholeheartedly!

Jessica’s creations for our April 2022 wedding at the Woman’s Club of Evanston were beyond what we could have ever dreamed. Not being particularly experienced with flowers ourselves, she took our initial, admittedly mostly vague, thoughts and turned them into a beautiful vision. The floral arch she created not only was the centerpiece of the ceremony, it was so fantastic we used it as the backdrop for all of our posed family photos - and it looks great in each one! The centerpieces were the perfect size and style for this historic venue and captured our love of wildflowers and the season of Spring. The bouquets, corsages and boutineers were perfect and looked great for the entire day. Throughout the process, Jessica was kind, patient and a wonderful resource for sharing her experience on what would look great - and she was right!

Beautiful Decor Thoughtful Service
We initially submitted a request through Anemone's website, and right away Jessica got in touch and scheduled a call. When we spoke to Jessica, we told her what we wanted. Her friendliness, and creativity gave us every confidence that she would deliver. She put together a package for us that included boutonnieres, centerpieces, and decor for the ceremony and the reception. She decorated the venue beautifully with fresh leafy vines. The backdrop to our ceremony were fresh leafy vines, and an assortment of candle lanterns. They looked amazing. Before the ceremony, she met us in our ready room, and she placed the boutonnieres on us. This was so appreciated. After the ceremony, Jessica discretely moved the lanterns from the ceremony area to the reception venue. Our guests loved the beautiful centerpieces. We could not have been happier with Jessica's design work, and the ease of doing business with her. I absolutely appreciate, and recommend her and Anemone to others.

Jessica, and Anemone were truly awesome to work with. Through our multiple reschedules due to environmental variables, she hung in there with us, and was very accommodating. Jess and her team at Anemone are simply the best, she was a true joy to work with! As someone without a strong opinion on flowers BUT with specific ideas I wanted to incorporate, Jess pulled together my vision flawlessly, advised me on how to stick to my budget and rolled with a color palette tweak partway through planning. Not only is her work gorgeous, the colors she brought to our day were so vibrant and fun, just like we pictured. She even whipped up a last-minute (seriously, hours before the wedding) bouquet for a bridesmaid that could make the wedding at the last minute! The arch, the bouquets, the centerpieces and little touches around the venue, all stunning. I couldn't recommend Jess and Anemone more highly!

Due to Covid we had to postpone our original destination wedding and last minute decided to have a micro-wedding on our original date. Micro-wedding a macro success!
Anemone Creative provided the most beautiful floral arrangements and balloon arches for my small wedding gathering. Although it was rainy and windy during set-up, Jessica was dedicated and determined to make the balloon displays a reality. And it paid off! The arch lasted through the storm and when the weather cleared it was the perfect backdrop for some unforgettable family photos. The flowers were exactly what I had hoped for as well...a light and elegant mixture of roses in the perfect hues of pink (my favorite!) Jessica from Anemone was such a pleasure to work with! Last minute I needed some help with decor for ceremony and she jumped right in to save the day. I needed to make a faded wood gazebo feel more personal and bright and she nailed it! I shared some inspiration photos with her and some how she made it even better than the pictures. I wish I would have found her sooner to help with all the decor! She is so creative and detail-oriented. I am looking forward to recommending Anemone!

A true artist who gave us more than we could’ve ever dreamed of with our floral and decor
Jessica and the team at Anemone gave us everything we wanted and more for our wedding day. I had no idea what I needed or wanted besides my generic fall wedding colors to work with. I asked Jessica to do her thing and be creative with us because she’s the pro and we wanted her expertise to bring our day together. During our first conversation, she talked me through some of the bigger details of the day and helped me bring some of my floral décor visions to life. Her pricing is reasonable our conversation got me so excited. Jessica has a really great sense of humor and was authentic and easy to talk to. Once the wedding day started nearing, we went to Jessica’s studio, had champs and went through all the details of our day. While we talked and brainstormed, Jessica helped us transform our boring color story to be more personalized and original to us and enhanced the generic fall colors we originally walked in with from something that everyone else does to something that was specially crafted for us. Color and expression is so important to me and having Jessica help us communicate who we are with our floral colors and décor was really the pinnacle of our wedding décor. Anemone had an amazing inventory of parts and décor that we used including votives, other candle stands, a rosegold arch, wall hoops, a flower wall all draped in gorgeous custom floral that fit our wedding and our personalities so well. We even got gorgeous table numbers thrown in for us free of charge. Jessica dropped off our bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages at the hotel when we needed them, then set up and broke down floral at our venue. When I walked into the venue and saw all the décor and floral Jessica had created and set up for us, I CRIED! It was so breathtaking, so original, so unique. My bouquet was so thoughtfully crafted and almost felt like an extension of ME which is so hard to find amidst a sea of the same old wedding color schemes here and there. Floral is an art and a language if you go with Anemone. You will be blown away!

I would recommend Jessica and her Anemone team to any couples looking to realize their wedding day dreams!
For our fall wedding, we had a specific vision, where we wanted the florals to be elegant but simple, because our wedding venue was already very ornate; we also wanted to incorporate fruits into our centerpieces and garlands because they add a pop of color and different textures, as well as rich meanings in our cultures. The romantic and natural style of Jessica’s works on her website caught my eye.
When Jessica and I first spoke on the phone, we immediately hit it off over our common passion for art - she had lived in Europe and is now teaching art history. I knew right away that she has not only the skills but also the eye for beauty. During the proposal creation process, Jessica was exceedingly patient and accommodating to our many ideas and adjustments, making sure to help us maximize our budget. For example, when I asked to pay for a “floral tasting”, she actually suggested not to do it so that we can put that money to use on the actual wedding day.
We can’t thank Jessica enough for her beautiful arrangements and timely delivery. It felt like magic when the 1-hour room flip, our reception space was completely transformed. 5 stars!

When I first met with Jessica, we quickly connected and I hired her on the spot. She understood what I wanted and I had so much confidence in her that I actually had to ask her at one point if I needed to be doing something else. It was so comforting amid the craziness of wedding planning to be able to just trust her and worry about one less thing. And I’m so glad I did. One of my best wedding vendors
When we first got engaged we thought about going the diy route with the florals for our July 2019 wedding. We were pretty serious about the idea and bought all the vases and other decorations. I watched some youtube videos and quickly realized what a foolish idea this was for us for a variety of reasons. I literally know nothing about florals. I found Anemone through our venue’s vendor recommendations list and reached out. Jessica was quick to respond and when I met her later that week I knew she was the one for us. I showed her some inspiration photos that I really liked for our florals and asked her a ton of questions. She made the whole process painless and stress free. Jessica knows her stuff and is worth her weight in gold as a wedding vendor. She created the most beautiful arrangements for our wedding day and her team was such a joy to work with. Jessica and Anemone Creative did an amazing job designing flowers at our wedding! From our center pieces to our sweetheart table backdrop to our bouquets! The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. The florist of my dreams!
There are not enough words to describe how amazing of an experience it was working with Jessica and her team at Anemone . When I first met with Jessica, I had a few Pintrest photos saved and a bunch of very random ideas but no true vision of what I wanted my wedding to feel like. She listened intently for roughly two hours ( I can talk) and then sent me a proposal which somehow nailed exactly what I didn't know I wanted. Each time I spoke with her or met with her, I changed "the vision" and each time, she came back with something beautiful. What I am trying to say is that Jessica isn't just a florist. She is a visionary and a true artist. Someone who can help the helpless (me) bring a vision to life with very little direction. On my wedding day Jessica and her team showed up to my hotel with the bouquet of my dreams. Truly. It was more special and more thoughtful that I could have ever imagined. She included a memento which ensured that my father would be part of my day in a way only I could see and it brought an entire room of girls to tears. When we arrived to the venue, what her team put together can only be described as magical. The room was so warm and romantic and filled with so much love. She did that. Everything was absolutely stunning. For me, Jessica could not have been a more perfectly matched vendor. She is calm and funny and brings something to the table that more traditional florists can't. I cannot recommend Anemone more highly and feel so fortunate that I found her to set the backdrop to what turned out to be the best day of my entire life.

Absolutely Recommend!
I can’t tell you how stunningly gorgeous I thought our wedding flowers were! To say they surpassed my expectations is a gross understatement. When I was getting my makeup done and she texted the picture of my bouquet I literally gasped and started bouncing up and down in my chair! The bridesmaids’ bouquets were gorgeous as well, as were all the centerpieces and the arch. The head table was so beautiful, and I so appreciated that she took the time to make it look so lovely. Ditto with the cake flowers. She also went to a lot of extra trouble and expense to get me the peonies for my bouquet. They’re my favorite flower and I had always dreamed of having them as part of my bouquet but because of the weather we had that spring they were extremely hard to acquire.
Jessica went above and beyond to make my dream of having peonies a reality. The ranunculus and anemones were also stunning.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jessica/Anemone Creative to any and all brides. The flowers tied everything together at the venue and were one of my favorite parts of the wedding! I also received numerous compliments on the flowers. Jessica is the absolute best!

Flawless Experience
We loved working with Anemone Creative. I was basically sold already when I first talked to Jessica about doing flowers for my wedding (from looking at her blog, which you should check out), but talking to her on the phone very quickly got me to 100%. Jessica very efficiently took a few Pinterest pictures and vague thoughts (…foliage? Different flower shapes? The venue is blue?) and was able to come to a coherent idea of key flowers (blueberry and yellow roses and thistle among others) and color palette and show me pictures of similar weddings she'd done over a short call.
Jessica was great at thinking of budget friendly ideas - she designed the flowers so nothing needed to be returned and suggested reusing bridesmaid bouquets as centerpieces, for example. While putting together our proposal, she visited our venue and came back with great ideas for additional decoration, but didn't push us to do anything we didn't feel comfortable with. We also really appreciated her eco-friendly approach and how easily she was to work with on tweaking the proposal.
Day-of logistics went swimmingly - flowers arrived to our getting-ready location on time, and when we got to the venue everything was already set up and gorgeous. The flowers themselves were totally amazing and perfect for us. After the wedding, we took the bridal bouquet apart to press the flowers and that process really made it clear how intricately and thoughtfully each individual bloom and leaf was selected and arranged. 5 stars, could not imagine better.

I can’t say anything but the best things about Anemone Creative and Jessica! We were going through various vendors for flowers and nothing seemed to match our style/vision or was just not realistic within our budget. However, when I chatted with Jessica, she was AMAZING! Right away, she knew the style I was looking for in our flowers and understood my priorities. She somehow magically made my vague disjointed ideas (and a few random photos from the internet) in to a seamless and classically beautiful design through the personal flowers and centerpieces. I also appreciated the time and effort Jessica put in to ensuring she understood exactly what we were hoping for in our various flowers. She would schedule time for us to chat over the phone or would respond quickly to emails. I also appreciated the flexibility that Jessica offered to ensure that the weird logistics of our wedding day didn’t stop us from having the flowers we needed when we needed – she was so flexible! While there were several vendors that had me a bit nervous in terms of quality and execution for the day of our wedding – Anemone Creative was NOT one of them! It was clear from the beginning I could trust Jessica to do an amazing job and that is exactly what she did. I can’t thank Anemone Creative enough for helping make our day so special! Working with Jessica was super seamless and hassle-free. She did an amazing job of understanding what I was looking for and putting together pieces for our big day. Jessica did an AMAZING job for my wedding! She made the most beautiful flower crown for me, and a beautiful colorful bouquet. For my bridesmaids, she made gorgeous succulent crowns. Instead of the bridesmaids holding flowers, she made stunning cuffs of succulents that I adored! My flower girl loves bunnies. Jessica made the most adorable floral bunny ear headband for her to wear along with a mini version of my bouquet! She loved it and so did I! She made gorgeous succulent boutonnieres for my groom and groomsmen, as well as a mini one for my ring bearer. We changed venues at the last minute, and Jessica was so accommodating and amazing to work with. Our reception was at State and Main in Glenview. Instead of centerpieces, I asked that she decorate the four huge chandeliers with greenery and flowers. She went above and beyond! People asked me all night if that was the restaurant or our florist, and I said it was our florist Anemone! I felt like I was in a fairytale with all the hanging florals! Jessica even added beautiful succulents to the tables as centerpieces to match my bridesmaids and added gorgeous greenery in the bathrooms as an amazing surprise to me and I loved it!! Overall, Jessica went above and beyond and made my day more beautiful that I could have ever dreamed! She is a rockstar!!

Jessica at Anemone Creative did an absolutely wonderful job with the floral designs for our wedding. Right from our initial meeting she was prepared and was able to incorporate her vision into our celebration without sacrificing my own. She was prompt with follow up, and was supportive and professional throughout the process.
We also have to give Jessica special credit for being flexible. Because of our circumstances, we were unable to confirm our event with her until a week prior to our celebration, which left her in a tough position to try and arrange everything on a shortened schedule. Nonetheless, she was still able to provide us with an absolutely beautiful product, and we feel very fortunate that she was so accommodating.
We cannot recommend Anemone Creative enough. From their professionalism to the actual execution of the design, they were far more than we could have hoped for. Thanks Jessica!

The Anemone Creative team absolutely outdid themselves for our wedding on St. Patrick’s Day 2018. Their portfolio really intrigued me and when I first met with Jessica, the owner, she was very professional, helpful and more than accommodating. The only requests I had made was for pops of green and jewel toned flowers. The resulting bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpiece arrangements, wall accents and lanterns were stunning, seasonal, creative and well balanced. When we arrived at the venue, the arrangements took my breath away. Our guests are still singing the praises of the arrangements and accents and how stunning everything looked in the event space. I have recommended Anemone Creative to numerous couples already and cannot speak more highly of the professionalism that was exhibited and of their amazing work and attention to detail. The professionalism and kindness can not be overstated dealing with Anemone. My daughter wedding was small and minimal flowers but Jessica QUICK response and attitude made the day complete. I almost gave up hope my daughter/bride would have flowers...period... Jessica was ONLY vendor who answered my emails and took the small wedding flowers job. Unbeknownst to me, I then realized her company highly respected and all 5 star reviews. I am amazed at the end results.. Flowers were stunning and exactly what my daughter wanted.....should be a 10 star rating, they deserve it!!!

We were planning my Mom's 80th birthday party and I thought it would be fun to incorporate a costume theme into her party since she is a costume designer. We (my mom, sister and myself) met with Jessica and were pleasantly surprised by her enthusiasm and creativity. Jessica created 10 table center pieces that had decorated wire dress forms in the center surrounded by different flower arrangements. They were awesome!
We had people from other parties at the country club stopping by to look at these. My mom was really happy with the result.

When first meeting with Jessica, she knew exactly where we were headed in our explanation of what we wanted and DELIVERED in an awesome fashion!! The arch she made was just gorgeous, the bouquets and boutonnieres just beautiful. Jessica was a dream to work with and very accommodating with our requests (even one after the wedding). She also adapted quickly to the quick replacement of where the ceremony was to be held due to the rain. Jessica Smith is an incredibly creative and talented floral designer! From the first day I met her, she asked thoughtful questions and listened to my ideas and gained an understanding of my vision. Truthfully, my Mom was more particular about our floral pieces than me, and so Jessica ensured my Mom’s thoughts were incorporated. For instance, my Mom was adamant that my bouquet NOT be a “lollipop”. In response, Jessica created this elegant, cascading bouquet that used flowing green leaves and unique flowers to make it personal. I absolutely loved it and felt like a queen holding them. They definitely enhanced every picture!
She is very hands on and present in her work. She was responsive, timely, professional, and most of all personable. She made me feel incredibly special and added the beauty of the day! Tapping her creative mind, Jessica is able to construct stunning displays to fit any color scheme, floor plan and budget.
Her extensive wedding experience proved valuable in creating the overall feel of our ceremony and reception room. She’s so detailed that she even suggested that our caterer lay the napkins flat on the dinner plate, instead of stuffing the water glasses, so as not to distract in the pictures. You’re not just getting a florist; she’s got an eye to help pull the whole look together!

The flower arrangements for my wedding were absolutely stunning! First, we looked at some color ideas I had in mind and Jessica went above and beyond my expectations. She used very fragrant, pretty and diverse flowers that looked so beautiful together. My bouquet was simply breathtaking. Myself and my guests were also very happy, since Jessica made the arrangements in to go vases, there was no wasting flowers and we were able to continue enjoy them for days ahead. Jessica was very professional, prompt and accommodated every request I made. I highly recommend her and her team for wedding flowers or simply any occasion. I had my wedding on November 26th of this year and used Anemone Creative as my florist. Jessica was just such an amazing person to work with, I gave her my ideas and visions, and she was able to manifest them into the most beautiful bouquets and pieces I have ever seen! Anemone blew us away with their talent, creativity, and dedication to our wedding. My wife and I knew nothing about flowers but Jessica helped us through it all. She was able to talk us through our wants and needs and left us feeling confident in our decisions. When we had a semi-late change of color in the table cloths at the venue, Anemone rolled with it and and we figured something out together. They even went out and spray painted a vase in the middle of our meeting so we could see a different setup!
As to the day of execution. Jessica was also able to transform our ceremony space into a magical wonderland. She created a flower installation that spanned an entire wall that had a cascade of flowers hanging from it. It seemed like it was something from our dreams! Our day was absolutely perfect and Anemone Creative played a big role in making it that way.

We couldn't be happier that we chose Anemone Creative for our wedding flowers. Jessica worked within our very tight budget and managed to create some absolutely lovely pieces for our wedding. She took our personal style and the overall vibe of our wedding and matched it so perfectly to the organic, natural beach setting of our venue. And she was so professional in the face of hiccups, too! A parade interrupted her route to our venue during delivery, and she was diligently keeping me and my bridesmaids updated on her arrival minute-by-minute, and made sure everyone in our bridal party had their flowers before pictures began. You would never know it by the perfect arrangements, but I know she hustled hard to make sure every arrangement was in place and that it all looked great. Vendors like this are what make weddings (an already crazy, confusing, stressful time) so much easier.

My sister happened to work with Jessica 4 years earlier for her wedding - when Jessica was working at a larger firm. We had such a great experience working with her, and LOVED her ability to work with colors and textures, that despite her leaving the previous firm to go out on her own, we managed to track her down and work with her again for my wedding!

Jessica is amazing! Her excitement and personality is infectious - and that makes her all the more fun to work with. During the initial consultation, we looked at some Pins she put together on a Pinterest board (loved that) and included images of our venue from other weddings that I hadn't seen. We basically just told her our colors, basic idea of what we had in mind, which Pins we liked and she made it AMAZING. She also found really awesome ways to reuse flowers from the ceremony for the reception, which was a huge plus for us. Everyone told us how beautiful everything was and we owe it to Jessica. Our photographer told us she barely made any photos black & white because our colors were so great. As a bonus, we were able to take the succulents out of the bridal bouquet and save them - so special to have a piece of the big day live on. Everything from start to finish was wonderful - I would recommend Anemone to anyone looking for a florist. Jessica is truly passionate about what she does and that comes through in her creativity and dedication to making your day beautiful!

I have a unique taste and didn't want anything traditional, so it was hard for me to describe exactly what I wanted. Jessica not only understood, but she made the flowers even better than I could've ever imagined! She nailed it. Everyone commented on how phenomenally beautiful the flowers were. I cannot say enough positive things about Jessica and Anemone Creative! When I approached her for my wedding, I was pretty clueless and not familiar with floral arrangements. She was informative, friendly, easy-going and worked with my unique style to perfection. She incorporated the lace from my wedding dress into my bouquet. After visiting 3 other florists prior to her, I was struggling to find someone who could articulate my vision and meet my budget. There were also a few different interest groups involved in the wedding that had visions that didn't exactly mesh well together. Jessica took the time to get to know me, listen to my concerns and needs, and find specific flowers that fit the look and feel of our unique venue and preferences. She put together a sample during quite a busy season, and she was flexible with replacing specific foliages and flowers, adjusting things with ease and actually coming in slightly below the originally quoted price. I chose to have 4 different colors for my bridesmaids, and the flowers were critical in bring together the look of the bridal party. While never seeing the exact colors of the bridesmaids' dresses, she seamlessly was able to bring together the colors with beautiful fall tones. The pictures were breathtaking, and I received a number of compliments including some from some really hard to please relatives. She went above and beyond in helping me decorate the venue and incorporating some last minute touches like a few dozen family candle votives. Also, she gave some budget friendly recommendations for linen lines that matched the tone of our palette.
