  We hired Andrew Tawes Photography for my daughter’s wedding on Nov 12, 2016 and I cannot say enough good things about Andrew! This is the second time we used Andrew, first time back in 2009 for my other daughter’s wedding. For this wedding, my daughter picked her date only after she checked with Andrew for his availability! We didn’t trust anyone else to photograph her special day! Andrew has a wonderful eye for capturing the special moments without having the pictures “staged”. His professionalism is amazing and he blends right in, without getting in the way. He worked the entire day, from morning till night. Andrew was very responsive and flexible to our needs. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring Andrew to record your special day!

  I am so incredibly thrilled with the work Andrew Tawes did as our wedding photographer. Our pictures are absolutely amazing and better than I could have imagined. Andrew did an excellent job of capturing so many of the day's candid moments, as well as all of the "standard" wedding shots. Not only is the quality of Andrew's work really there, but he is extremely personable and fun to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer. He is exceptionally talented and truly has a gift.

  Finding a photographer was probably the easiest part of wedding planning. Andrew was the photographer at my sister's wedding 3+ years ago... and he was so personable and had such an amazing product that he was hired for her in-laws wedding a few months later. So when it was my turn, he was the first person I called. Andrew is incredibly personable and so much fun to work with. When it was time to take our engagement pictures, he came all over town with us and put up with at least 5 outfit changes and 5+ different sites to change scenery. He is truly an artist! At the wedding, he's in so many places at one time to make sure he gets everything. And he still gets to party with the rest of us :)

  Andrew was referred to us by my fiancee' s brother who got married last December. After seeing what a fantastic job he did with their photos there was no question that we were going to use him as well. Andrew was so easy to work with and he truly made the entire experience wonderful.

  I had to choose a photographer for my wedding from across the country and base my decision on photos and a telephone conversation. Andrew's photos speak for themselves. His work is amazing and he did a wonderful job with our wedding. I was thrilled I made the right decision in choosing him. My pictures were awesome, and I am not photogenic. He was a joy to work with. We hope to use his services again in the future for other family photos. (I'd make the trip across the country just for that!) I recommend him everyone. He definitely made our wedding and wedding memories extraordinary!

  Andrew was a wonderful photographer for our wedding, reception and engagement session. He was friendly, flexible and very professional. He took BEAUTIFUL pictures of all types: candids, posed, different lighting, etc. He's also very creative. We would highly recommend him!

  I absolutely love working with Andrew Tawes. The photos are amazing and I cannot believe all the little details he captured on my big day. It was great to have such amazing photos because that day went by way too fast. The wedding album is beautiful! If anyone I know needs a photographer, I immediately give them Andrew's name.

  It was wonderful working with Andrew. He captured all of the moments of our wedding...he didn't miss anything. The pictures came out better than I could ever have imagined!! Of all of my vendors used at my wedding, I was most impressed with Andrew's work.

Luckily, we found Andrew Tawes and not only were his prices reasonable but the quality of his work definitely riveled that of much more expensive photographers in the area.   Andrew was amazing to work with. We were able to see him at a friends wedding prior to him shooting our wedding and engagement photos. He was flexible with both time and location. The quaility and quantity of pictures were amazing. With as many images as we received you would have thought he had a crew of photographers with him, but it was a one man show!!! The pictures were candid, not staged and we loved that. We got to see our friends and family truely enjoying themselves.

  Having our wedding in the DC Metro area seemed to mean having expensive vendors so I looked elsewhere. I came across Andrew's work and it was incredible. His pictures captured moments verses having things staged. I wanted candid shots and he did just that. Andrew was accommodating to my schedule and needs. He customized a package that worked with my budget and we couldn't have been more pleased with him and his work. I felt 100% confident in him that one of the most important days of our lives would be captured beautifully. I recommend him to anyone I know getting married.

  We LOVED Andrew! What a great guy, and his photos (so far) seem great! We're still waiting for the bulk of them, and I'll update the review if they don't meet our expectations. He's a great photographer who truly doesn't get in the way. Every time I turned around, he was there on the periphery, capturing all the important moments of our day. He was flexible with timing, worked really hard ALL day, was great, courteous and kind to our guests, and made friends with everybody (especially the kids in the wedding!). We met for the first time the day of my bridal portraits, and he instantly put everyone at ease with his laid-back demeanor and calm professionalism. Despite some working challenges (rain, wading onto a river bank, watching raccoons watch us as we shot photos), his upbeat personality kept us all smiling. We had a great time doing portraits, family photos, and candids, and can't wait to see the rest of his work. Thanks, Andrew!
