I really wish I had more positive feedback to give as I found Andrew and Emma so nice. But we were so disappointed with our wedding photos.
First and foremost I feel a wedding photographer needs to ‘take charge’ and coordinate to get the best out of those in the photos - for example calling out when 1 of the groomsmen has their hands in their pockets while others don’t; directing where to stand to get the best photos. This was largely left to us to identify. One of the most negative outcomes of this is that there are very few photos of just my husband and I. We had given Andrew a very detailed plan for the day with max of 6 groupings for photo subjects but because of, what I felt to be lack of coordination, our time wasn’t effectively managed and we ended up squeezing out a lot of the photos of us.
We found that inside a separate flash was used - sorry I’m not sure the name of the equipment but it was a hand held device that was often placed behind the subjects of the photo. It was over used and too powerful resulting in a number of photos where all we could make out was a super bright light and the outline of people.
To note, his outdoor photos were really lovely. We had a big issue with his indoor photos. Framing, lighting a composition inside we’re all disappointing indoors. Because it rained a lot on our day we ended up with few outdoor photos. Our review may have been different regarding the quality of the work if we had a different representation of outdoor photos.
Overall really wished we could have had a better experience as they are a very sweet and kind couple.
