PERFECT experience!!

I called Patricia describing what I was looking for. I’ma 54 yo bride, second wedding and had a budget. She immediately knew she had some dresses for me and welcomed me in. Well, I had narrowed it down to three beautiful options!! I had been to a shop prior and left disheartened. Patricia was so kind and helpful. Her gown selections are beautiful and she had exactly what I was looking for!! I felt beautiful and I can’t wait to wear my dress!! Thank you, Patricia 💕

Beautiful, Affordable Gowns

My experience with An Affair of the Heart was awesome. I had looked at a few bridal shops in town, and it became clear to me that the kind of dress I wanted was not going to be possible within my budget at these places. But An Affair of the Heart sells beautiful, brand new dresses at a much more digestible price range!
She was very understanding when I came in for my first appointment and I was trying to put on a brave face while suffering from a migraine and not really having any fun. She suggested we reschedule, and the second appointment went great. I would recommend this business to any bride who wants a stunning dress without paying the big bucks.

I bought not one, but TWO wedding gowns from An Affair of the Heart (after an unrelated seamstress ruined my first dress...)! I would highly recommend Patricia to anyone in the market for a wedding dress! I was admittedly hesitant initially, as she runs her business out of her home, but after visiting literally every other boutique in Colorado's Springs, and being disappointed time and again with the selection and/or pricing, I was pleasantly surprised to find what I was looking for! Patricia's dresses are all discontinued, so you won't find them anywhere else!

My daughter was having a difficult time finding the right wedding dress. She visited Affair of the Heart and found exactly what she was looking for. Patricia is warm and welcoming and her no pressure sale was much appreciated.

I found a beautiful dress at a price I was happy with. Very low pressure, which is the experience I wanted. Let me try on as many dresses as I wanted too (And I tried on a lot!)

I had the best experience. We called last minute and got an appointment. So accommodating!!! I never felt like a burden. In fact I felt like the most important special person. I'm very insecure and nervous when trying things on and I left feeling confident and beautiful. It was the most positive experience I've ever had even outside of wedding shopping!!

I had been trying on dresses for weeks and couldn't find a dress that I fell in love with until I went to an affair of the heart. Patti was so nice and sweet and helped me try on dresses past dinner time. I would recommend her to ANYONE looking for their perfect wedding dress. She had a great selection with different styles!

Patty was so helpful when picking out a wedding dress! The experience was very personalized and relaxed. The selection is limited but diverse. The dress I got was for an amazing price and never worn. Patty works with you to pull dresses and there is no limit to trying on any dress except for the size. I also bought a piece for my hair, great quality and an unbeatable price. This should be a stop for any bride in the area.

Pat was wonderful! I was only in town for a few days and she got me in for an appointment the same day I called! I actually found my wedding dress THAT DAY and got a great price on it! Patty is the sweetest person ever! I had gone twice both times by myself and she helped me pick the one! I even got a great deal on a beautiful dress that will make my day even more special. I highly recommend going to An Affair of the Heart for your wedding dress needs , I paid 50% less than other known bridal shops like Davids bridal for example. My daughter got her wedding dress and veil here, and it was a much better experience than we had at David's Bridal. We had Patricia's full attention the whole time we were there looking at dresses. She had great advice and good variety of styles, too. When my daughter tried on THE DRESS, she knew it right away and said "This is the one I've been dreaming of since I was 3 years old!"

When I first showed up I was a nervous wreck. I kept thinking what if I don't find a dress. But as soon as she seen me she welcomed me with a warm hello and jumped to it right away. She pulled out all the dresses that fit iny budget and I even found one that I absolutely love. When it came time to pay for the dress she gave me a few tips on what I should buy with it to make my day special. Thank you and I hope you will give her a chance like I did. You won't regret it.

I very much enjoyed my experience of purchasing my dress through Patricia. She is very helpful and knowledgeable and has a great selection. I enjoyed going through a small business and I believe she has a better level of service. Much more than I enjoyed any of the service I received from the bigger stores like David's bridal and Danelles. Also was 10x more affordable :)

A few years ago my sister was getting married and had found Patty and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Now that it's my turn to get married, I knew the only place I wanted to go was to Affair of the Heart. I flew in from Seattle with the hopes of flying home with a dress. Patty was very accommodating, polite, and more than patient when I was telling her what I was looking for. We took our time looking through dresses, trying several on again, and even a few extra dresses just for fun. I would highly recommend Patty to anyone! And bonus, my dress was under budget!

Patricia at An Affair of the Heart is just amazing! I had a whole day of appointments lined up, and went to Patricia first since she didn't think she would have many options in my size. She only needed one perfect dress, and I was sold! She was so sweet as I tried on about 8 more dresses, and then put my favorite back on. She was not sales-y at all, and just very genuine. Her prices are also great! I spent less than half of my budget on my dress, and I wish I could wear it over and over. A few months after buying my dress, I emailed Patricia asking if she had a veil to go with it, and she answered right away. I stopped by that afternoon and she had the perfect veil! I highly recommend visiting with Patricia before going to any other bridal boutiques in the Colorado Springs area - you might be surprised at what you find!

I got my veil from Patricia and I absolutely love it. It was exactly what I was looking for and it was great quality. She had a large selection of wedding dresses but a smaller selection of veils but I still found ones I loved and had trouble choosing which one to get for my wedding day! She was so helpful, friendly, and took her time with me. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful designer dress or veil for a reasonable price!

My biggest stress was finding a wedding gown because I'm very particular. I also have to bring my 1yr old with me everywhere so my time is limited. Patty gave me an appointment on the spot, as I was leaving Davids Bridal and Danelle's very disappointed. I'm so happy I met with Patty. She had a great selection of gowns and was willing to let me try them on at a fast pace. Patty is very kind, and was very patient and understanding. I got a beautiful Allure gown for a fraction of what I would have paid elsewhere. I recently went back to her for undergarments and accessories, and again, I paid less. If you want a personal experience, I highly recommend An Affair of the Heart. I'm grateful I did!

My daughter found Patty's shop and made an appointment to try on dresses. Patty was so personable, patient, helpful and gave the best one on one service. She listened to what my daughter was looking for and found different gowns that matched what she wanted. My daughter found the dress she will wear as well as her veil at fantastic prices. I wanted an elegant dress for my granddaughter's wedding. The majority of dresses for this special occasion are not appropriate for an 82 year old grandmother. A description of a silky suit dress on An Affair of the Heart site caught my attention. I called and spoke to Patricia Roth, owner. Patricia is very professional and cheerfully answered my questions. She invited me to come in and try the dress on. Since I live in New Jersey, that was not an option. Patricia gave me a detailed description of the dress and jacket, fabric and beading. My main concern was the length of the jacket sleeve which Patricia measured. I purchased the dress (very good price) and am thrilled with the style and fit. Thank you, Patricia.

I first made an appointment with Patricia to see and try on dresses when I first got engaged. Patricia welcomed me to try on dresses with her even though I wasn’t quite ready to purchase a dress, I just wanted to have fun and try on wedding gowns. She was so sweet and knew a lot about the designer gowns I was trying on.

Almost one-year later, I was finally ready to purchase my wedding dress. I went to David’s Bridal and Danelle's Bridal, both low quality dresses, especially for the price, and not a great experience. I went back to Patricia and I was welcomed with a smile and her memory of what dresses I loved one-year ago was amazing, she knew exactly what looked good on my and I loved. Her inventory is incredible, she carries so many jaw-dropping designer gowns for a tearfully pleasant price. It was hard to pick just one dress, as many of her gowns we “the one”! After her patiently and pleasantly putting the same dresses on me again and again so I could compare, I finally purchased an Enzoani Gown for a MASSIVE discount compared to what the designer regularly charged.

I had so much fun with Patricia, her wisdom, patience, personality, inventory and knowledge made for an outstanding experience. I highly recommend An Affair of the Heart.

I truly cannot say enough great things about my experience wedding dress shopping with Patty! Her dress selection and prices are outstanding! She was very patient, helpful, we were not rushed and were given that one on one attention every bride wants. Patty Roth was amazing! I had contacted her at a spur of the moment, because one of my bridesmaid told me her niece had just purchased her gown from An Affair of the Heart and it was very affordable. So we found her contact number and I made a call since we were in the area and Patty graciously agreed to let us come and try on and look at her gowns. 15 mins later we were at her location and she pulled many gowns for me to try on. I found one I really liked, but had an appointment later that afternoon with another bridal store, so I wanted to wait and see what I found there. Needless to say I found nice gowns, but the customer service was awful. We decided to leave and I wanted to try on the gown again at An Affair of the Heart one last time, so I called Patty again and once again, she let us all (4 of us) come back and try on the gowns. It was late in the evening, but she was more than helpful and didn't mind that we were keeping her. She was wonderful! I had been looking all over for the perfect wedding dress at an affordable price. I felt I was never going to find the dress, until I went to Affair of the Heart. I was a little bit iffy about going to a small place at someone's home address, but when I got inside I was AMAZED at all the dresses! She had more desirable dresses in that one room than I had seen in the past 3 shops I had been to. Also, there's no beating the price! I definitely recommend Affair of the Heart.

Patsy was amazing! We shopped our options, all over Denver and finally David's Bridal walking away with some experience and a few extremely colorful customer service anecdotes but no dress. Patsy was extremely flexible, fitting us in a moments notice. She took care of us with kindness, care and no rush. One and a half hours later she set aside two dresses for me until my mom could come back and help me make the final choice. The dress was a steal, almost exactly what I wanted topped off by a recommendation to an expert seamstress to make it just so. I recommend her constantly now. Thank you, Patsy!

Patricia was the sweetest lady ever! She had a great selection of dresses and sizes. And the prices are extremely affordable! Saved so much money on my dress that I had money to rent a photo booth for the wedding!! Very patient with us as we were looking around. She even referred us to a site to get our invitations, she had some jewelry, bridesmaid dresses, beautiful veils, and mother of the bride dresses. She did not pressure me to buy any dress, very relaxing environment to try dresses on and she did not double book her self so you get the satisfaction of having her there with you the full time to assist with the dress unlike bridal stores. Thanks for having my dream dress at a really great price!

I first reached out to Patty at "An Affair of the Heart" but wasn't sure exactly if I was calling a good place and didn't know how willing they would be to give me advice, especially since I'm from states away. My experience with Patricia owner of Affair of the Heart was amazing, personable and professional. My daughter had tried on over 100 bridal dresses between Colorado Springs and Denver. None of which she could say “yes to the dress”. When we called Affair of the Heart, I will a little taken back by the location. But after talking with Patricia I thought what is a few more dresses to try on, after all I had been thru this 100+ times. When we arrived at Affair of the Heart, Patricia immediately listened to my daughter’s wants in her dress. After 3 dresses, yes 3, my daughter said “YES TO THE DRESS”. My total experience at Affair of the Heart was more professional, heartfelt, personal than I had experienced from any other bridal shop or bridal boutique in Colorado Springs or the Denver area. I got the pleasure of working with The Affair of the Heart in ordering the bridesmaid dresses for my upcoming wedding in October 2013. I, the bride along with all my bridesmaids reside in Michigan. Affair of the Heart went above and beyond in working with me from a different state, starting out with sending me swatches of the satin and lace of the dresses in which I was looking at. They were extremely quick with thoroughly answering any of my questions, and walked me through the process step by step. Even a month after we ordered the dresses, I had a bridesmaid back out and Affair of the Heart did all that they could and were successful on calling the manufacture in which we ordered the dresses from to get the size switched halfway through the process so it was able to fit a new girl. The dresses even arrived TWO weeks ahead of time. I could not be more excited and satisfied with the dresses that we received, they look even better than what I was anticipating! I highly recommend Affair of the Heart when choosing any dress for an upcoming event, and am able to say they do a fantastic job regardless of where you live!!

As a mature bride I was looking for a dress that had the right combination of sparkle and elegance without trying to look like I was in my 20's. Patty was very accomodating as I tried on many dresses. She even brought it to her alterations specialist to see if it could be altered the way I needed it. I absolutely love my gown. Patty's selection and prices are unbelievable. No matter what your age every bride wants to find that special dress. It's nice to know you can find a beautiful dress at an econimical price.

I was very pleased with the service we had while I was trying on dresses. What I loved the most was I did not feel pressured into settling for just some dress. I went to another store after and was so overwhelmed and unhappy. I came back and bought the dress of my dreams!

What an amazing experience!!! I felt very comfortable around Patty and did not feel pressured into anything. After looking at so many other dresses and feeling like I could not/will not find my dress, I found THE dress. The one i now love and did not want to take off! She has a kind of warmth to her that you will not find going to an ordinary bridal shop. She is also very understanding and patient. My family and I asked her an overwhelming amount of questions (some even unrelated to the matter at hand), but she managed to stay on track with us and answer all of them. She has a big variety of dresses, veils, and other wedding essentials. They are all tremendously discounted and of HIGH quality. I love my dress, veil, and favors I purchased from her so far and plan on returning to purchase my invitations and more!! Thank you so much once again Patty!!

Working with Patty was an amazing experience! I went dress shopping when I was super stressed and dealing with a lot of family issues. The only reason I went shopping when I did was because I had bridesmaids from out of town who flew in just to go shopping so I felt horrible rescheduling. We started at another dress shop and I had an awful experience! I felt so pressured and overwhelmed that I wanted to quit right there and then. Luckily, we went and saw Patty, at An Affair of the Hear in Colorado Springs next. She was so wonderful to work with and did not try to pressure me into anything!! It was an ideal trip, and needless to say, I found a dress that put all my family issues on the back burner and made me feel wonderful and ready to marry my fiancé. Budget was a big concern for me when planning my wedding. However, I was not willing to sacrifice elegance or class. An Affair of the Heart saved me from having to do so. Patty's discount on invitations was the best I found online or in stores. We were not able to coordinate a time to meet so she allowed me to take her sample books home to look at in my leisure which I found to be very helpful. Once I made my final choice, the company was not able to print the invitations the way that we needed. Patty was immediately on the phone with the company trying to remedy the issue. When the company said that it couldn't be fixed, Patty emailed me other samples she found that were similar to the original one I had picked before I had even gotten home. She worked with me on the discount and was in contact with me often to ensure perfection with the final invitation. She was thoughtful and kind while not pushy (something I had not found at other businesses). I would highly recommend An Affair of the Heart to others planning a wedding. Thank you Patty!

This was a great place to get my dress. Yes, the selection is somewhat limited, but it's worth a try to at least get the chance at a bargain buy on a dress. I would suggest bringing a small entourage though, as the space is kind of small.

Thank you, Patricia and An Affair of the Heart for providing a beautiful dress for one of my bridesmaids. For my wedding I had two bridesmaids in aubergine wearing different dresses. I live in melbourne, Australia and found a perfect dress on Pinterest. I found out through lots of internet searching that An Affair of the Heart sold the dress. By the time I found it, the timeline was quite short and Patricia was very helpful and willing to rush my order through so at I would have the dress in time for the wedding. She was so kind and responsive to my emails and helped me to feel at ease throughout the process. The dress was beautiful and everything I could have hoped for.

I was extremely happy with the flower girl dress I was able to find for my daughter for a wedding this summer! The choices were impecable and very resonable priced! It was great to have a name brand dress in our fingertips on the same day we went shopping and for a price you couldn't of imagined! I highly recommend "An Affair of the Heart"!!

The location was kinda hard to find, as her house is tucked away, but she was very knowledgeable and personable for my dress trying-on session. She had a vast and affordable selection of dresses, and I was able to find my wedding dress at an incredibly affordable price. I will need it slightly altered (hem), which she referred me to a lady in Briargate for. If you are looking for saving money on your wedding gown, try her place first!
