Have you ever won a power ball lottery? Okay, me neither. But you know what I have been lucky enough to experience? Partnering with Amy on the wedding look of my dreams. Know that every. single. word. of this review is written with the utmost honesty and accuracy and while I may sound over the top, believe me that it's only because Amy is JUST THAT GOOD. Amy's communication, professionalism, and creativity made her an absolute dream to work with both leading up to my wedding and on the wedding weekend itself. Amy's attention to detail on both hair and makeup is unrivaled; I promise you, you will not leave her chair with a single hair out of place. Beyond the quality of her work, I would be remiss to not add that on top of her skill and professionalism, Amy is one of the kindest and most fun-loving people I've had the pleasure of knowing. She is one of a kind in all the best ways and I'm BEYOND grateful that she was part of my wedding day. -

I got married on 12/31/22. I live in Texas and my husband and I were bound and determined to have our dream moment in the mountains of Boulder, CO. Because of this it made it difficult to find a trusted person to make me look my best on such a special day. I found Amy through a well-known local photographer based out of Colorado. There was a post made talking about how awesome Amy was at what she did. That was my sign. From the moment I spoke with Amy on the phone I felt warm and special. Trusting someone to do your most viewed part of you on such a special day is difficult yet Amy made me feel safe. From that moment forward she was amazing. She was communicative and flexible. I couldn't have asked for more. During this time she ran into the huge Southwest Airlines cancelations causing her flight to be late to get back to Colorado for my preview. Also on top of that her studio had a pipe break and she had no idea of the condition. Although Amy had so many reasons to cancel with me she kept in close contact and somehow made it all work. She set up a backup just in case which was so appreciated from a nervous bride's perspective. Her perseverance is so commendable. She didn't just treat me like a client, I felt the value she had for me as a person. I can read people very well and this women is a hard worker that truly cares for ever soul she works with. Not to mention the day of my wedding she not only did phenomenal on my hair and makeup but she also kept my bridesmaids talking. We all loved her! Amy is that person you wish you could be friends with because her energy is contagious and her heart is huge. When I think back to that special day I think of Amy too. -

Amy is absolutely amazing! I could not be happier! From the initial phone consult to the preview to the big day, Amy went above and beyond to make me feel confident and beautiful. She had great suggestions and listened to my ideas and made the whole vison come to life. She is very professional and uses high quality makeup with clean tools and equipment. She is also genuinely an awesome person to chat with! I highly recommend hiring Amy, you will be so happy you did! -

I’m so thankful I was able to work with Amy for my wedding! After my first hair and make-up trial with a different vendor left me with a bad feeling, I reached out to other vendors, looking for a better connection and match.
Right off the bat, Amy was quickly responsive to my inquiry, and our initial hour long chat immediately set me at ease. We discussed what had gone wrong before and what I was hoping for in my wedding look. Amy was very thorough in explaining her approach, and had even researched my photographer’s work, and explained how different approaches to make-up would work with her style of photography. My trial was a huge relief, as Amy was very open to feedback about what was working and what wasn’t. It was such a fun, collaborative effort that felt like hanging out with a good friend.
On the day, Amy was fully prepared (even there before us!) and created a beautiful, natural look, exactly what I was hoping for. We did not use foundation, but more of a lighter approach, and I felt so comfortable in my skin. My hair held up all day and looked just as amazing in the evening as when it was first done. Additionally, Amy brought along two amazing colleagues that helped with my girls’ hair and make-up - they also did an amazing job!
I’m so thankful I listened to my gut. Changing vendors 2 months out from the wedding was stressful, but Amy helped ease all HAMU-related stress I had. Thank you for everything, Amy!! -

Initially, we were booked with another makeup artist that cancelled unexpectedly, which ended up being a blessing in disguise. Thank goodness the stars aligned and allowed Amy to swoop in and save us from spinning out. The initial trial in Feb. was full of laughter and we felt like we’d known Amy for years. Fast forward to June 8th, there was more laughter and lots of happy tears. My hair and makeup withstood all I could throw at it that day! My wife and I are so grateful for Amy and was in great hands on our wedding day. -

We are so thankful that even with some short notice for a hair & makeup trial, Amy went above and beyond to work her schedule out with ours and could do our hair & makeup for our wedding! She made us feel absolutely stunning, was easy to work with, and helped make our day truly special. She paid special attention to our requests and made us feel like the most beautiful versions of ourselves! Truly Wonderful
You guys. I cannot say enough great things about Amy. She was timely, considerate, fun, kind, and she was dang good. The entire process was so professional. I am really picky about my hair and make up, I don't want something over the top but I also want something that is more than an every day look. I felt like she listened to every thing I wanted (she schedules a phone call and looks at your pinterest boards) and implemented it perfectly. It was truly the most beautiful I have ever felt and my now husband (!!!!) thought it was the most beautiful I had ever looked. I can't say enough great things. Oh! And this was the third wedding we had to reschedule (covid) and she made herself available even though her wedding was right around the corner. I feel blessed to have met her and beyond thankful for her services! -

Amy was amazing to work with. First, she took all the proper precautions for doing hair and makeup during COVID-19. I sent her ideas, and she nailed my vision. Looking like the best version of myself without looking like a different person on my wedding day was important to me, and she captured that perfectly. She was professional while also being so personal. I love that she takes the time to make each look personal for every bride. -

The best hair/makeup
Amy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was professional and prompt with all of her communication. She was so cheerful and excited to make my dream wedding look come true. My entire wedding party and family could not have been more blown away with her services. I loved everything about my look, and I have never in my life liked when another person has done my makeup, and I LOVED her work. A few incredible stand out points that blew me away beyond my already high expectations of her that I had from reading other reviews: 1) my mother has a very difficult allergy to deal with. It is a preservative in almost all hair and makeup products. Amy was not phased by this. She immediately said it was no problem, requested further detail of the allergy and continued on to complete incredibly detailed research on my mother’s allergen, compiled a list of products that would work for my mom’s skin and hair type that were allergen free. She sent the list of products to me with the ingredient lists included. She even thought of further tactics to help protect my mom against the airborne allergen in regards to timing of the other appointments in the day and location of the services. Her care and thoughtfulness was incredibly appreciated. It made me and my family feel very cared for with something that is very difficult to deal with. 2) She had no issues driving in the winter to Granby CO. She made arrangements to make sure she was to the venue early and that unpredictable winter weather would not be an issue. (February in the mountains in Colorado) 3) She was very accommodating day of. When the schedule was shifting and bridesmaids were not in their places etc, she rearranged with ease, keeping stress low and a positive attitude. Her cheerfulness and positivity was amazing and her calming attitude was just the vibe needed on my special day. Everyone was so thrilled with their final looks (pictured). With ease she was able to integrate the wishes of all of my bridal party, making each of their looks customized to enhance their beauty, yet keeping the overall look cohesive and natural did up-does and down hairstyles and a blowout for MOB. I could not recommend her highly enough. 4) She was able to work with met to get a hairstyle that would look good with a hat on for my ceremony and then with no fixing would look stunning after the hat was removed for the dinner and reception. Ie a hat hair resistant wedding hairstyle. WHAT?! But she nailed it. Pic of hair during cake cutting after hat and eating, 100s of hugs and dancing for reference of intact curls and lots of volume with ZERO primping after hat removal. Her pricing is incredibly fair for her spectacular work and professionalism. She was an integral part to making my wedding perfect. And my curls looked PERFECT after hours and hours of dancing, sweating, and sleeping on them. Many comments on my stunning and perfect hair during a family brunch the next morning which I would have never imagined possible. -

I can’t say enough great things about Amy. I’m so thankful I found her to do my wedding hair and makeup. I have celiac disease and finding someone to do my makeup safely to avoid cross contamination proved to be an extremely difficult task. After my first email with Amy, I knew she was the one. I loved her work and truly hoped she could accommodate my special request. She reassured me from our first email exchange and even during the makeup application she was careful to make sure I stayed safe. Also, my hair and make up looked AMAZING. She did awesome making sure I felt like myself, but also making sure I looked beautiful on my wedding. I highly recommend! -

Elopement wedding Hair/makeup
Amy did an amazing job with hair and makeup. She was calm, friendly and talented. She color matched everything and put natural looking lashes on too. I brought color matched hair extensions and she fixed my hair in a natural wave curl (hair down) style. Since we had an elopement, we didn't have time to ‘practice’ but she did great by talking with me beforehand and discussing examples. -

I'm so glad I chose Amy to do my hair and makeup for my wedding!! She did an amazing job, and the additional stylists she brought in to work with the wedding party were complete pros. I was very happy with the end result, as were all of my girls - everyone looked great!
I'm very particular about both my hair and my makeup. It's pretty hard for me to cede control to stylists, but my trial run with Amy made me feel completely at ease. I loved her emphasis on high-quality skincare, and I could tell that her makeup products are top notch. She achieved the ideal "my natural look, but better" for both my hair and my makeup (i.e., exactly what I wanted and asked for!). After the trial run, I followed up with some feedback on how the makeup held up on my oily skin, and she made adjustments so that everything on "the day" was perfect and stayed put until the very end. On my wedding day I was relaxed and knew I was in great hands!
Throughout the process, Amy was responsive to my emails and super punctual, which I really appreciated (especially in the thick of wedding planning madness).
It was also especially important to me to find someone who has experience working with all types of skin tones and hair textures, since I had a diverse wedding party. I loved that Amy knows how to do an amazing job with all types of hair and skin tones, and she made sure that all of her additional stylists were up to the job as well.
On top of all of that, Amy is just lovely and so fun to hang out with - we had a great time getting ready!! I can't recommend her enough. -

Amy was amazing to work with it. From doing hair and make-up for my boudoir shoot to my trail to my wedding day, she captured what I was looking for and was responsive to feedback. I adored my wedding day look and cannot wait until we get our photos back so I can show it off more (I'll post the non-pro photos I have) In addition to myself, she did hair for all the women in our wedding party and hair+makeup for both of our mom's. Everyone was impressed, looked beautiful, and had a great time. Would 100000% reccomend Amy for any Bride.
My hair and makeup help up GREAT through the entire day, including a choreographed first dance and a long night on the dance floor. -

I really can’t sing enough praise about Amy. I was nervous about letting someone else take care of my makeup and hair - I’m very particular and wasn’t sure someone else could make me look the way I wanted. The first hair/makeup run was great and I HIGHLY recommend doing a trial. My hair did not want to cooperate and ended up looking like a big poof ball - which is great, because this helped Amy figure out what we needed to do on the day of the wedding to give it some volume without too much ‘poof’. My makeup was lovely but, even though I made suggestions and told her what I did/didn’t like as we were going along, it just didn’t feel like me. The problem was mostly that I had picked a bold color choice that just didn’t fit me very well. So I booked a second makeup trial so that I could try something else - that time we were really able to nail what looked good and what to do for the wedding! All the while, Amy was very pleasant and open to changes/suggestions. Trust me, she can’t read your mind, so if something doesn’t look right or you want to do something yourself (I did my own eyebrows), say something! She’s there to make you look great and isn’t upset if you want something different or want to do something yourself.
The day of the wedding went very smoothly except I kept asking for contouring and it didn’t look right. Turns out, I actually wanted “bronzing” - ladies, if you’re like me, and not a makeup expert, look up the terminology! It’ll save you some frustration. In the end, we figured it out and my makeup came out amazing; she was a champ at handling me being so particular. My hair was gorgeous. And my mom and all of my bridesmaids were equally impressed by Amy and her assistant. Some of their thoughts:
“The makeup artists were pretty respectful of those of us that didn't want super heavy makeup. And they handled any nervousness or particularliness from the Bride very well. :) They were very comfortable to work with.”
“I loved my hair and make-up and she did my hair exactly the way I envisioned it!! The make-up was really nice and not too much.”
In summary, Amy is amazing at listening to what you want and bringing it to life! I’d hire her again in an instant. She made everyone feel very comfortable and at ease, and I looked absolutely beautiful for our wedding! -

Working with Amy was the best decision I could’ve made for my wedding. She was very prompt with all of her correspondence with me and she even shared extra tips and tricks to have great skin and hair for the wedding day. When the salon she had booked for our trial was double booked, she was so apologetic and came to my house free of charge. On the wedding day, Amy and her assistant Torrey made me, my mothers, and my mother in law so comfortable and so gorgeous. I changed up the makeup look I wanted last minute, but Amy was so flexible and gave me my exactly hair and makeup vision. If you’re having a wedding, definitely go with Amy because you won’t regret it! -

When I began planning my wedding, I was just going to have my friend who does hair style my hair and make up for the wedding day. After a few months of deliberation, I decided it would be smarter to go with somebody who does wedding hair and make up professionally.
I reached out to several people in the industry, and I was completely turned off by so many. When I spoke to Amy, though, I knew this girl knew her stuff! She was also so friendly and helpful with any and all of my questions.
She reached out to me several times before the wedding just to check in and make sure everything was still going according to plan.
The day of, her and her team were there bright and early, and they got straight to work! It was so fun and refreshing to spend the morning of my wedding day with this group of girls. Amy is so funny and so down to earth. She put all of my nerves at ease and was so kind when she was helping make the final decisions of my hair and make up.
I decided to forgo the hair/makeup trial as I did not want to drive to Boulder before the wedding. Although I did not do the trial, the way my hair and make up was done was PERFECT. I only showed Amy a photo of what I wanted and she nailed it. I got so many compliments on both my hair and make up, as did my bridesmaids and my mother and the mother of the groom.
All of us girls are still talking about what a great job they did, and how fun it was spending the morning together.
If I ever were to need hair/make up services I would go with Amy a million times over. -

You need Amy to work her magic on your hair and makeup! She did a brilliant job on both.
I don’t wear a lot of makeup and I’ve had many artist in the past still apply heavy makeup after i tell them this. Amy did such a perfect job listening to my wants and bringing it to life better than anyone I’ve worked with!
And the hair... dreamy! I chose to add the extension rental at the last minute, and it was the best decision! It gave me all the volume I was looking for and more. It also snowed pretty good on our wedding day and my hair held up amazing well and even looked great after being all wet from snow!
Basically Amy added so much magic to my day and you need her for yours... like now!
Added bonus, she is so easy to talk to and our conversations helped keep my mind off the nerves. I felt like I had known her for yeare! -

Everyone felt comfortable showing their inspiration photos and both artists did a great job executing our visions - or if they thought a certain style may work a bit better, they encouraged us to try it out.
My hair and makeup held up all day (and night) - and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out! Beyond her professionalism, Amy is just a joy to be around - she fit in great with the entire group of girls and we had a great time. I would highly recommend Amy for your wedding day! Alima Sent on 07/15/2018Amy is WONDERFUL, I am so happy that I found her! I was worried when I was searching for someone to do my hair & makeup, plus hair for my 5 bridesmaids. One of my bridesmaids, my sister, and I all have curly hair and all wanted to keep our hair natural, so that was an extra challenge for me in finding someone. As anyone with curly hair knows, finding someone who can make your natural hair texture look good can be really hard! Amy went above and beyond making sure everyone looked perfect! Plus, when one of the girls wasn't happy with the way her assistant had done her hair, Amy stepped in to fix it and it looked great. Also, Amy is super fun, very calming on your wedding morning, and loves puns almost as much as I do. Do yourself a favor and hire her!!

She had a last minute cancellation which allowed her to be able to do all my bridesmaids makeup (that I requested at the last minute) which they loved. I adored my hair and makeup! Amy took into account different aspects of things I liked and put them all together into the perfect look. I can’t speak more highly of her!

Amy was wonderful from the time I messaged her with questions, to the final seconds leading up to the ceremony. She always responded to my emails quickly, she is very flexible and able to meet out of town costumers. She was very open to my makeup and hair request and also has a lot of options of makeup to work with. I definitely recommend Amy in a heart beat!

Amy is very easy to talk to which helps make the process fun and helps take the nerves out of wedding day jitters. Took her own time to ensure the location of the venue, was there just before quoted start time and finished on time as promised. Prices are amazing for quality of work! Would highly recommend her any occasion!

Amy was absolutely perfect and gave me the exact look I wanted for our wedding day! I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and have had some negative experiences with professional makeup in the past where I feel too done-up/don't feel that I look like myself, and that was the last thing I wanted for our wedding day. Amy executed the perfect natural look that lasted through our entire wedding and reception. She custom blends the foundation so it just looks like a more glowing version of your skin, l which was amazing. I have thinner hair but wanted a full but natural looking half-up hairdo, and using my extensions she gave me the exact style I wanted that lasted all day and night! Amy is lovely and very talented, she took my vision to heart and made it happen, I would highly recommend her! -

I'm so glad I decided to have Amy do my hair and makeup for my wedding! I loved how my hair looked and it held up for the entire day even after a lot of dancing! I was originally going to do my own makeup, but I am so happy that I ultimately asked Amy if she could also do my makeup. It looked absolutely amazing in pictures and also stayed flawless the entire day after crying and sweating! I knew after my trial with Amy that I had made the right decision to have her do my makeup because later that night, I went for a run and it even started raining. Afterwards, my eyeliner and lashes still looked great! Not only does Amy do a fantastic job, she is also so fun to be around, and it really helped ease my stress to just chat with her while getting ready for the wedding! She also did my maid of honor's hair and one of my bridesmaid's makeup and they looked beautiful! Definitely recommend Amy for any hair and makeup needs! :) -
