If we could give Ken 100 stars, we would.
From start to finish, Ken made our wedding unforgettable. He brought incredible energy, kept the dance floor packed all night, and added so many unique touches. So many guests told us, “I’ve never seen that at a wedding before!”
He didn’t just DJ—he created an experience. Ken took live videos throughout the day, projected highlights during the night, and mixed in live video of our guests on the dance floor, which made it even more interactive and fun. The very next day, he sent us a highlight reel of our ceremony to relive the magic.
Ken also brought in a live sax player and the mashups he created with it were incredible. Our guests were completely wowed and it was a huge highlight of the night. It was the kind of dance floor you couldn’t step away from (not even to use the bathroom) because every song was a banger.
On top of all that, he’s an absolute pro—organized, detailed, and fun to work with. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and delivered.
Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him. We can’t recommend Ken enough!!! -

We had the pleasure of working with DJ Ken for our wedding, and he was absolutely phenomenal. From the very beginning, Ken was proactive, organized, and clearly experienced—he knew what questions to ask and how to properly prepare for the day of. On wedding day, he knew exactly how to keep the flow of the night smooth and stress-free. His positive energy was infectious, and once the dance floor opened up, he kept it going. People were dancing nonstop!
Ken truly takes ownership of his role and goes above and beyond. He seamlessly collaborated with our other vendors, helping to ensure everything stayed on schedule and felt cohesive. It really felt like he was part of the team, not just a hired vendor.

If you’re looking for a GREAT DJ, run don’t walk. Ken and the team at Amp Event Professionals were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. If I could give more stars I would because that’s how wonderful they are!. Ken was always so communicative, sending us reminders and being available for any questions we had throughout the process (which as a bride planning can be very overwhelming and he was always there to reassure me) the online portal Ken has literally makes everything seamless and is so organized. Ken is more than a DJ - he's a true wedding coordinator who literally ties your whole night together. From the ceremony and introductions to the first dances and the end of the night, Ken truly exceeded anything we could have dreamed of. The unique twist Ken brings to your wedding really highlights your individual love story and made the entire night SO special. Everything was so unique and personalized, and our guests are still raving about it. We couldn't recommend Amp Event Professionals highly enough! -

After booking the venue, our next service was to secure a DJ who would make our vision a reality. That vision was to have a really lively wedding, a full dance floor, and an energetic vibe. Nicole and I knew we had to get this right, so the search began. After reading the reviews for Amp, we knew we had to reach out. We obviously never made it to candidate number two, as there wasn't even a consideration once we had our discussion with Ken. This is NOT where you want to cut your budget, if having an awesome and unforgettable experience is your goal. Ken delivers, and as you'll read over and over, your guests will be saying what an incredible time they had and how it was among the best wedding parties they'd ever attended. DJ Ken was UNREAL. I did not leave the dance floor from the moment DJ Ken started playing and neither did my guests. The next day, everyone was raving about the DJ. As one of the most important parts of a wedding, I cannot recommend trusting your entertainment with DJ Ken. From the moment we began working with DJ Ken, he made our wedding feel like his biggest priority and that he was there to make our vision come to life. Ken Brings the Energy!
We got married on 4/23/2022 after having to cancel our wedding twice due to Covid. So after a long awaited wedding, we wanted it to be full of energy and excitement. Ken fulfilled our expectations! He brought the perfect lighting, dj booth, and musical energy. Throughout the night, we had everyone on the dance floor. Even my 2 year old niece (who was far beyond her bedtime) was still up there dancing! Ken allowed us to add a little humor into our ceremony introductions and played a beautiful video of the last 1.5 years from our first cancelled wedding leading up to our current wedding! Everyone had an amazing time!
Ken was easy to work with, responsive, and had an easy online portal to organize the timeline and requests for the wedding. We highly recommend Ken and his team!!! -

Hire Ken and His Team Right NOW! (You won't regret it!)
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Ken and Andrew blew us away with their services. We could not have asked for more incredible team to help us party the night away. You will not be able to find a DJ that does more than Ken and his team. Please don't hesitate to reach out to them with questions and definitely don't hesitate to hire them for your event. Ken's surprise during the dances had every single person in the room crying and we really could not be more grateful for the experience that they created for us.
Their GoSnap roaming photo booth took everything to the next level and my guests had a blast taking pictures all night long!

Highly recommend if you want a party!
Joe Fortuna with Amp Events was nothing short of perfect for our wedding day! We gave little guidance to what sorts of music to play at the reception except to make it a party and that is exactly what he did. We received so many compliments on how great the music was and the dance floor was incredible. I would HIGHLY recommend Joe and Amp! -

WOW!!! Ken goes above and beyond for his clients!!! We were a Covid couple that had to postpone until 2021. Through all of the ups and downs, Ken was very responsive in all emails, zoom meetings, and phone calls!
As we got closer to our big day, he went over our entire timeline in great detail. Ken eagerly picked up the slack from our venue's event coordinator -- He kept us on time, checked in with us often, confidently led the night as MC, and collaborated well with our photography and videography team! Ken makes a point to keep your guests involved and engaged the whole night. He encouraged guests to gather around the dance floor for the special dances, creating a great group picture for our photographer, and found ways to surprise us throughout the night.
Ken is more than just a DJ - he is the full package! All of our guests raved about him and how they barely left the dancefloor! Everyone was impressed with his set-up and his energy! AMP Event Professionals will give you a celebration to remember!!! -

We hired Amp Event Professionals at the recommendation of our photographer. What an excellent choice we made! Joe was amazing from first contact and throughout the entire wedding. He took the time to chat with us to learn about our music taste and vision for the ceremony and the reception. Joe was super flexible and helped me plan out a father daughter dance mashup in the last days before our wedding. The music he played during the entire night was absolutely perfect, it was a great mix that catered to us and our guests. There was literally always someone on the dance floor the entire night! I also highly recommend the GoSnap add on - it was amazing to get the candid dancefloor shots and gifs of our guests. If you are looking for a DJ - look no further. We booked with AMP Event Professionals for our wedding day based on the recommendations from both our venue and our photographer. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. We booked our package with Ken, the owner, who was extremely responsive and flexible. DJ Andy was our actual day-of DJ, and he was incredible! Throughout the planning process, Andy reached out to check in with us, give us suggestions, and answer questions. On the actual wedding day, Andy never missed a beat. For every special introduction and dance, Andy already had the music cued and ready to go; he worked with the bridal party to coordinate during their speeches as well. He had asked what type of vibe we were looking for, and after we shared a brief playlist with him, Andy integrated almost every song we shared and even added more that fit our atmosphere perfectly. He had some cool mashups and even better versions of songs we requested that kept the dance floor packed all night.
Most importantly, Andy was responsive and flexible. We had some last minute changes, and Andy made adjustments on the fly with no issues. This was also his first gig DJ-ing an Indian wedding (!!!), and Andy used our recommendations to include Indian music on the dance floor. We would highly recommend both Andy and AMP Event Professionals! -

My fiance and I spent a lot of timing trying to find the right DJ for our wedding. As soon as we spoke with Ken (owner), we knew we were done looking! The DJ that got assigned to us was Andy. ANDY IS AWESOME. I felt an immediate sense of relief when we first met. He is extremely kind and really listens to what you want. He is extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make everything perfect of us. From matching the uplighting to our exact wedding colors, to helping me create a timeline of our day, he was there. I recommend AMP Professionals to all of our family and friends. If you are looking for a DJ, this is the one!! -

Best experience I’ve had or seen
If you are looking for DJ options.. look no further.. Ken is absolutely amazing and will make your special day even more special than you could imagine. From the smoke during the first dance to the day of photo on the front screen, to him secretly recording speeches and creating a final audio clip to present at the end of the night will be a real tear jerker. Ken and his assistant were totally on top of their work and it was very easy during the planning process with Ken as well. The dance floor was ALWAYS full. Adding the go-snap photo add on is an absolute must! Our guests loved being able to have action shots and great lighting rather than some stationary booth. Ken is organized and will take a great deal of responsibility in making sure your day is exactly how you would expect it. He also will help you with the sequence of events for the evening which was great. Do the speed photos with every table too, as Ken suggests. This ensures you have at least one photo with every table/guest! 10/10 hands down best DJ I have seen. We received a ton of compliments too. Book him! -

If I could give 20 stars to Ken and his team, I would. From beginning to end of working with Ken he was just amazing. I had so many people who attended our wedding text us the next day saying how amazing our DJ was and all the extra things he did for us was just so unique and special. Ken goes above and beyond to make sure you have such a seriously special day. The unique extra things he does, truly made our day. You will never go to a wedding that has the things the Ken has. If you're looking for just music, Amps not for you. If you're looking for entertainment, call Ken and the team at Amp. Imagine planning your wedding and being surprised over and over from your entertainer. Ken and his many years of experience made our day extra special with his planning and professionalism. He and Joe kept the party going all night and the set up looked amazing. We contracted Amp for our music, emcee, gobo and uplighting. Ken and Joe read the crowd and played music that made everyone dance. Ken and Amp far exceeded our expectations. The surprises are phenomenal. Ken is absolutely amazing at his craft! With being an event coordinator, I've had the opportunity to work with HUNDREDS of DJs, and musicians throughout the years. But once I got engaged, I didn't hesitate to tell my now Husband that Ken was the person we were hiring no matter the cost. We planned our budget around Ken and our venue because that was how confident I was to have him as our DJ. With 2020 taking a turn for what it did, we were struck with a difficult decision to make whether it be to postpone to keep our wedding. We decided to still have our ceremony and postpone our reception to next year. Ken was extremely accomodating and checked in with us numerous times throughout qurantine to make sure we were okay, and the transition process was seemless. He understood the difficult decision and never gave any push back on what we needed to do.
With that being said, fast forward to our ceremony. When discussing our vision, Ken offered the ability to make it more personalized. Which meant that he would record my Husband and I talked about how we met and basically tell our love story while the bridal party is walking down the aisle. Ken came over to our home, and recorded us separately so I had no idea what my other half was saying until the Day of. Listening to it during the ceremony has me SOBBING even before I stepped out to walk down the aisle. After the ceremony he send us the clip allowing for us to be able to listen to it over and over again.
We already can't wait to work with him for our reception next year! It's going to be a blast and we just know that he'll have everyone on the dance floor! We know we will be!

My wife and I are unsure of what word to use when it comes to describing. One word could not do it justice. We began working with Ken who sent us reviews, and videos to show what his company can do. After just one call my wife and I knew this was the right company. Ryan then took over the reigns of our wedding. He was a great communicator, and super enthusiastic the day of our wedding. He commanded the room when he was being the MC, and the tempo on the dance flow was perfect. The final piece was when he made that special piece at the end. ATTENTION: If you are still looking for a DJ --- I need you to stop what you are doing, hang up the DJ phone call that you are on right now and give AMP Event Professionals (Ken) a call RIGHT...... NOW! Not kidding!
My husband and I got married on September 14, 2019. We were searching high and low for a DJ for the LONGEST time, that had specific lighting functions and that could keep people on the dance floor and OFF of their seats. Our day was fulfilled with special guests (i.e., Tommy Hawk from NHL Blackhawks and a country singer, Blane Howard singing our first dance "Promise to Love Her." A contest that we won). Through the several meetings we had with Ken (In Person, Face Time, etc.) we had a vision that we wanted to bring to life. Ken was able to take all of our ideas and bring them to life even with some ideas that he has never done before! We had no idea what was in store until we walked into the reception hall.
He had a stage set up for Blane Howard, his DJ TV Booth that is ONE OF A KIND, and was able to do things that we have never seen before. 3 TV's?!?!

The lighting throughout the room was ON POINT. The lighting that we chose was very elegant and sophisticated during dinner. Ken was then able to crank it up when we were ready to get the party started! The light shows were all in coordination to the music played. He even took the time to do a special light show for Tommy Hawk! (AWESOME!) Also, big thank you to Mike; Ken's light tech! Ken really knew how to read the wedding guests to make sure that the dance floor was filled from start to finish. Throughout our day, Ken continued to surprise us with creative ideas that we have never seen before. Before the night ended, a special "something" happened....it brought tears to our eyes (happy tears!) and all of our family and friends thought it was a nice touch.
Book AMP Event Professionals right away if you are looking for a DJ that cares about what YOU want on YOUR special day or event. They will take it to the next level and keep all of your guests partying until the night ends.
And maybe...you will also get a response from your guests like we did, such as "You need to get married every year! This is awesome!"
We had SO much fun and this is a wedding to remember!

My husband and I are SO happy with our choice to have Ken dj our wedding. I do not exaggerate when I say this guy is bringing the wedding dj game to a new level. He kept our dance floor packed from the first song to the last, but he did so much more than that. He adds in so many special touches to make your wedding specific to you, memorable to your guests and fun, while simultaneously keeping an eye on every detail - ie, keeping us on schedule and making sure all VIP family members are in the room for all special moments throughout the night. Not to mention the "Ken Special" at the end of the night - trust me, you want this secret extra thing at your wedding! I had many guests tell me we had the best dj ever, and I can't help but agree. Whatever your occasion, I cannot recommend him enough. You will not be disappointed with Amp! -

Where do I even begin?! Ken and his team were amazing. Incredible attention to detail and personalized touches throughout the evening made our wedding just that much more special! Ken is actually a family friend so it was kind of a no-brainer that we would hire him as our DJ, and we knew he was a GREAT DJ, but he really, really delivered and I'd recommend him over and over to any Chicago area couples. Not only is he an excellent DJ, but he also comes with a full toolbox of additional services including a photobooth, draping/aisle runner, various lighting packages, etc... We sourced all of these services through Ken and it was more affordable bundling everything together with him than going through our venue for some of our lighting / draping needs. 10000% recommend Ken and his team!! Ken, thank you a million times over. Thinking back on our wedding night and how special you made it brings tears to my eyes. THANK YOU!!! -

Ken and his team are AMAZING! Ken pays attention to every little detail no matter how big or how small. We had our name in lights and he incorporated details from our invitation for it which I absolutely loved! I am a huge worrier but I didn't have to worry with him in charge. He made sure everything was running smoothly throughout the night and made sure to keep us updated on what was coming next. Throughout the night we kept getting comments about how awesome and impressive our DJ was. We also had the sol snap photobooth which was also a HUGE hit! What he does for the last dance is truly unique and amazing and is something we will never forget. We can't thank Ken enough because long story short he saved our wedding after a different DJ company ghosted us. We are recommending him to everyone we know! -

I found Ken on Instagram randomly and am so glad I did! He was so easy to work with, very passionate about his business and work, and also was very accommodating to my last minute nature of getting everything together. He played for both our ceremony and reception. Family members and guest came up to me at the wedding and commented on how great of a DJ he was! He had everyone dancing all night which was all I wanted for my wedding.
The best part of the night was when Ken mixed our vows into our first song and played this at the end of the night. He also sent it to us that night.

Our wedding was Awesome, thanks to AMP DJ!!! Ken was amazing, everyone loved how he had everyone dancing and keeping it fun. They loved the fact that he was interacting with everyone. He would get on the dance floor and show you the dance if you didn't know it. His setup was excellent. We used his up lighting, photo booth, Monogram projection, and the platinum DJ package. We strongly recommend DJ Ken for any couple that loves to dance and wants a fun, energetic party all night long! I’ve been to quite a few weddings and never have I seen a DJ go so above and beyond. Here are the top five reasons why Ken was the best DJ for us!
1. Everyone danced all night! There were no breaks in between each song and the music rocked!! I’ve been to many weddings where you could not dance to the music. If people started leaving the dance floor, he would switch to another song and they came right back.
2. Everyone loved him! He was energetic but not over the top. I received so many compliments from wedding guests on our choice of DJ. I’ve already passed his information on to several brides-to-be.
3. He went above and beyond! Here are 4 examples:
There were a couple times when a glass was dropped on the dance floor…Ken was the first one out there (with a flashlight) picking up the broken glass and tacking down a broom.
When it was time for bridal party to be announced, he somehow rounded everyone up. He came and found the bride and escorted me to where I needed to be so everything ran smoothly and on time.
When some of the kids started dancing before dinner ended, he asked us “Looks like people are ready to dance, do you mind up we give them some more upbeat music!”. Of course we agreed and all the kids loved it!!
During his dinner, he took recordings of the speeches and inserted them into the last song of the night (which was our first dance song). It was so touching and memorable and was the exclamation point to a beautiful night.
4. Communication was easy and quick: He met with us in-person prior to booking. This was very important to us, as we wanted to meet each of our vendors personally. I contacted a few other vendors and had to go through a receptionist that would “find a DJ for me based on personality and availability” and even when I asked to meet with one personally, it seemed like such an inconvenience for them. Ken was timely with emails, very kind, and very professional. The week before the wedding we spoke on over the phone to ensure each detail was in place and he had the correct pronunciation of all the bridal party members.
5. His web portal was convenient and easy to use for song request and the timeline of events. We really felt like he tailored the night for us and kept us at the center of it all.
We are thrilled with our decision to have Ken be our Wedding DJ and would strongly recommended him to any couple that that wants to work with someone they can trust and have an amazing wedding!! -

Outstanding Experience with AMP DJ Services
Ken and AMP DJ Services were OUTSTANDING! From the first time we met Ken, we knew he was our guy. We did not even think twice about looking any further and called him ASAP to reserve our wedding date. You can tell from the get-go that this is Ken’s passion and he loves what he does. Our wedding day was extra incredible because of him. From his preparation, communication and absolutely flawless service – he hit it out of the park. Our guests (younger and older) all commented on the music and the smooth flow of the entire event. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor and the guests thoroughly enjoyed their time. As the bride and groom, we cannot express enough gratitude for his service. From the moment the prelude music began to the very last beat, Ken was professional, accommodating and genuinely cared about our best day ever.

I will not say anymore, but it meant the absolute world to my husband and I, and left all the guests in awe. Trust me – you want this surprise and you will not find it anywhere else :)

Valerie Sent on 07/07/2018Ken is amazing! My husband and I were getting married in Mexico and going to create our own playlist for the DJ to play down there. Less then a week before leaving for Mexico, we found ourselves with no playlist yet to give the DJ due to procrastination on our end (whoops). We reached out to Ken to see if he could throw something together for us and within a few days he provided us a site to select exactly which music we wanted, put the mix together, and even personalized some shout outs during the mix!
Not only did he create our wedding playlist but we had a different idea for our first dance where we merged together 4 different songs....he was also able to do this mashup for us too! He literally saved the day!!!
If you are looking for a fun, amazing DJ, definitely use Ken Murphy!!! Destination or local :) He gets the job done. Our guests danced all night and everyone loved the mix! THANKS KEN! -

Kelly Sent on 01/18/2018It took me awhile to write this because I was thinking about what to say and how to express my gratitude and appreciation to Ken. Ken DJ’d my husband and I’s New Years Eve wedding. With it being on NYE we knew we needed to be smart and hire the right DJ. A DJ that would keep our guest on the dance floor and the party going. Well, Ken did just this and so much more. We first met Ken at my cousins wedding and it was the best wedding I’ve ever been too up until my own. I remember dancing my ass off and never wanting the night to end. When Mark and I got engaged I knew that I had to contact Ken right away because he HAD to be our DJ for our wedding. Thank god he was available and he was super excited since it was his first wedding on NYE. Throughout the whole process Ken was a great communicator and would send reminders to keep us on track with filling out our online music list. We had great trust in him that he would make our wedding one to remember, he nailed it. Since the wedding, people still are talking about how amazing it was. Everything from the lights, remixes, crowd engagement and most importantly the remake of our first song at the end of the night with a clip of all the speeches mixed into it. This was something that Mark and I were unaware of. It brought me to tears along with the rest of the crowd and really ended the best night of our lives perfectly. Ken truly loves his job and we HIGHLY recommend choosing him as your DJ. He’s the best out there and will make any day one to remember. Thank you so much Ken!

My husband and I have nothing but terrific things to say about Ken and AMP DJ Services. Ken's transformation he did with our pole-barn was beyond amazing (pictures attached). I had a vision for elegant country theme decor and Ken truly made that vision come to life. He added beautiful white drapes going across the barn, lights, and up lighting, Ken was very professional, kind, flexible, and creative. He went out of his way many times to make sure everything was how we wanted it, he was very helpful with suggestions if we weren't sure on what to do, and he has an amazing talent for setting an atmosphere so guests are comfortable and have a great time. I truly have never seen a dance floor SO packed for SO LONG at a wedding. Ken knew what music to play at what time to get the crowd going. I had an immense amount of guests who commented on how great our DJ Ken was, as well as the set up of the barn. Ken suggested a couples game that we were really excited to play in front of our guests. I was so happy we did the game because it was not only fun, but probably one of the best memories for us and our family and friends. We also had a photo booth that our guests ABSOLUTELY LOVED!! Everyone was laughing, smiling, and having a great time. We even had friends that wouldn't normally "come out of their shells" participate in the photo booth and really enjoy themselves. We got a copy of everyone's photos and the guests each got a copy as well. Ken also sent us the online link so we could view all of them. Looking at all the pictures helped us see moments we missed of our guests having a great time. I could go on and on about Ken and AMP DJ Services. I highly recommend them for any event, wedding, or celebration. Thank you Ken for making our wedding such an amazing day. -

Kaylee Sent on 10/18/2017Ken was perfect! I'm from a big and fun family who loves to party so I've been to a lot of awesome weddings in my life and I had big expectations for my reception. He exceeded my expectations because our wedding was a blast and he made it such a fun and memorable night for my husband and I. He was also very professional and organized and his website made it really east to pick songs.

Kelly Sent on 09/18/2017Hiring AMP DJ was one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process!! Ken was SO awesome to work with from the very start. The day of, he was professional and fun and made sure everything ran smoothly. I can't even tell you how many people came up to me during and after the wedding saying "that was the best DJ I've ever seen/heard!" And I totally agree. I've never seen a wedding DJ like Ken before! His MC'ing and music was incredible! The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last song - I didn't even want to leave to get a drink! I would HIGHLY suggest Ken to any bride!!!
