I truly wish the scale went higher than 5 stars because Lori and her incredible team deserve every star in the sky! We got engaged just before the 2020 pandemic and after booking a venue one of the first vendors we booked was catering with Amici after a delicious taste testing session at their offices. Well then the pandemic happened and we had to cancel our wedding not once but twice due to the venue we had booked (which we ultimately walked away from) we decided to spend our wedding budget on a home instead and I don't regret that choice but it did mean waiting several years before we saved up enough for the wedding of our dreams again! Cue 2024 we booked with a new venue who included catering in our package so we went for a taste test with their preferred caterer and it was...disgusting. So feeling defeated that we were going to have awful food at our wedding we gave up hope, until we remembered we had paid a deposit with Amici Catering! We decided to call and give it a shot though we expected to be laughed off the phone for even requesting such a thing, instead we were greeted with the warm sweet voice of the owner Lori who after we explained our dilemma met us with an "Oh my gosh is this Sarah??" she knew exactly who we were and let us know that they had thought of us and hoped everything had turned out after we cancelled the second time. We had the most heartfelt conversation with her where her excitement for us was so genuine and so heartwarming she could have said she needed $50,000 and I think I would have sold my kidney to make it happen because the wedding industry can be so cold and lacking in excitement on what is a big day for you and your fiance but here was Lori more excited for us than maybe some of our own family even was! She offered us an incredible deal with the costs that have gone up and we booked it immediately! I am so so proud to say that Amici Catering catered my wedding on 02/28/25 and it is by far the most talked about thing from our wedding, the food was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! It is to this day the best fettuccini alfredo we've ever had! I grew up in an Italian household and rule #1 is you never say anyone's pasta is better than grandmas, but even my grandmother came up to me and asked what they did to make it so delicious!
When we went to the bridal suite to sign the paperwork and bustle my dress for the first dance Lori had put a plate of the appetizers in there for us to enjoy since most couple's miss cocktail hour, the bruschetta is the bruschetta of my dreams and I wish I could have more now as I write about it, it's soo good and their pesto is perfection itself!
Where we stood before being called in to the grand entrance to the reception was back where the catering setup was and as we stood there waiting to be announced as husband and wife Lori came around the table to us and she held my hands as I stood there in my wedding dress and we tearfully exchanged one of the sweetest moments I've ever felt where she was so happy for us and we were so grateful to her.
Working with Amici Catering is not just choosing food for your wedding, it is gaining a cheering squad for your big day, it is feeling seen and thought about every step of the way, Lori makes sure you actually EAT on your wedding day because trust me you need it! Picking Amici Catering was the best decision we made for our wedding and if I ever have another event that requires catering I will without question be calling Amici back in! Lori we love you so much! Thank you for absolutely everything!! We will truly remember you forever -

Lori was so easy and sweet to work with, especially considering I had so much stress from postponing our wedding and decreasing the size so dramatically. Lori helped me come up with serving solutions and ways to make the event extra special with little details. The food was also so delicious! Everyone commented on how good everything tasted, and we got to keep the leftovers so we had great dinners for a week! I would absolutely hire them again and recommend them to anyone getting married in Arizona. -

Had the pleasure of having them cater my wedding 2 days ago, November 9th, and I must say not 1 guest had anything bad to say about the food. In fact everyone was asking who catered my wedding because the food was impeccable. The salmon was so tender and juicy and filled with flavor. The parmesan crust it had was my favorite part. The grilled chicken was so tender and flavorful that I had none left lol everyone including my other vendors were raving about the garlic mashed potatoes because they were just heaven!
Not only was the food delicious the staff was amazing! They not only made sure everyone of my guests had food to eat they made sure I was good and hydrated which I thought was so considerate. I had the best experience with Amici catering and I will not only be using them again but will be suggesting them to everyone I know. Thank you Lori for everything!!! -

Fantastic food for our wedding reception! Amici Catering was very easy to work with in creating a special menu for our event. They were punctual, professional, flexible, and the food was delicious! We also hired a bartender who did a great job making sure everybody was well taken care of. If we have any special events in the future, we will definitely be hiring Amici Catering! -

Not only that, but Amici wasn't one of the most expensive places either which makes it that much better! They were always responsive, worked with our budget and gave us different options and the food is amazing. Thank you Amici! -

Leanne Sent on 07/21/2011We hired Amici catering for our wedding and couldn't have been happier! Lori and staff were 100% professional and helpful! Lori came to the home where our wedding took place and helped to figure out set up of the buffett and gave tons of great advice! We had a few changes, i.e. adding wait staff, to our original contract semi last minute, but Lori handled it and everything turned out perfect! Our friends and family all raved about how great the food was, and how attentive the staff were. The caesar salad was to die for!!! Thank you so much Lori and the whole Amicia team for the great food and service! -

Lori was fantastic to work with. She was extremely on top of every small detail and took great precautions during the COVID pandemic. The menu was extensive and there were a ton of options in a wide price range. The main entrees on the wedding day weren't as fresh as during the tasting but was still delicious and the guests were very happy. The service was great and very professional as well. Highly recommend Lori and her team! -

Lanice Sent on 11/11/2010I had Amici Catering do the food for my wedding Oct. 23 and it was good. They deliver and set up everything. So really you have no worries. I only gave them 3.5 for flexibility because they only do Italian and that's how the season everything. I didn't give them 5's in other categories because they put tomatoes in my green beans but besides that they did a good job. -

Tried to set up a time to meet with this caterer was offered dates that worked for the caterer and when I picked a date to chat, they stopped responding via email. Sent 2 follow up emails and still no response. Called and never received a call back. If this is how the communication is in the beginning then not even worth trying to pursue more.
