I had my wedding in September 7th 2024 and I just love how beautiful everything turned out and all of my guests mentioned how much fun they had I would definitely recommend them to friends and family my favorite part was that it looked like a barn inside and that’s exactly what I wanted I fell in love with it as soon as I seen it -

We rented the beautiful event center for my daughter's 18th birthday party. It was a huge hit. Guests enjoyed the event center (it was very clean), fishing, the playground, arcade & more. They were super easy to work with, such a great value for your money. I can see how beautiful it would be to have a wedding/reception/anniversary party there. We are thinking about planning a graduation party here as well since it was enjoyed so much by our guests. A+++ Highly recommend! -

Phenomenal Vendor!
Allison was just the easiest person to work with, she answered any questions I had quickly and accommodated with things I needed done. The venue at American Wilderness Campground is the rustic look I was looking for, very affordable and absolutely gorgeous inside. Overall, I would recommend this event center to anyone looking for a wedding venue because it is worth every dollar and checks so many things off your list as a bride who’s going for a rustic look. My favorite was that you get to bring in your own alcohol for your event, that way I knew exactly how much I was spending on liquor verse an open tab. My wedding was absolutely perfect, purple and gorgeous! -

Beautiful venue for a great price
My daughter had her wedding reception here and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone was so helpful and so accommodating to her every need. I loved that we could bring In our own food and alcohol. The venue itself is beautiful and clean and just the perfect atmosphere. Parking was perfect. Our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been too. -

My daughter is in the military and decided to get married with only 2 months notice. American Wilderness helped with all the pieces I would need to think about, including a recommendation for a caterer. They were so pleasant to work with, and everything went perfectly. My daughter and her groom LOVED the venue and we received many compliments on how gorgeous it was. I would definitely recommend this venue! -

We had our wedding ceremony and reception inside the event center.
American Wilderness is a beautiful place! The event center is wonderful and the grounds are picturesque. Alison made everything so easy for us to plan. She recommended the caterer we used and they were outstanding! She arranged for a bartender and parking attendant. Staff was courteous and cared about making our day special. I would definitely recommend American Wilderness for your wedding. -

Hidden gem location. Beautiful and rustic. The staff were very friendly and helped during the set up which isn’t required but really added that “extra touch”. Has beautiful glass windows in the back which has a pretty view. Would definitely recommend 100x over. We loved that we had the freedom to decorate how we wanted and had the time before and after the party. -

The Best Day of Our Lives!
AWC was the BEST experience ever! My husband and I worked with the most polite and diligent staff members. They were incredibly professional and extremely helpful in helping us achieve our dream wedding amidst all the craziness of Covid. They were also incredibly understanding and helpful since we had to plan the wedding while living long distant. The event center is gorgeous, unique, and intimate. I highly Recommend hiring this vendor! -

This venue is definitely an hidden gem! When we seen this venue we knew right away we had to book with Allison. The gorgeous wood inside the venue was an added bonus. It’s so beautiful! We wanted something rustic, simple but also elegant. Our wedding guest raved about how beautiful this venue was. It’s amazing how many complements we received that night about the venue. I can’t brag enough about how amazing it was to work with Allison. I was a COVID-19 bride who had to push back our date and l was so worried about everything. Allison talked me out of a few Panic attacks. Allison is very kind, friendly and easy to work with. She definitely was a blessing during this whole process. We can not forget about the friendly ladies at the front desk. We could not imagine having our wedding any where else. My husband and l would recommend this venue to anyone. -

I did not have a wedding here but I had my daughters graduation party. There was 100 guests and everything went beautifully. The venue was set up and ready for me to decorate upon arrival and clean up was a breeze bc all I had to do was take out the trash. Everyone was professional and friendly and accommodating to all of the kids. Thanks again American Wilderness! -

Their venue is the perfect canvas for an intimate and rustic reception! I was going for an inexpensive rustic but elegant look! Because the venue is so beautiful and nicely laid out, with gorgeous windows, I was able to save a lot on decorations. I splurged on just the lights and chairs. Everything else was so simple yet it looked so much more expensive than it was. Their team is great, so friendly and professional. Everything was clean and tasteful. You'll love having your wedding at American Wilderness! -

We had our ceremony outside with 56 degrees and sunny, it was perfect! American Wilderness did a great job at making sure everything was ready for us to set up our special day. Wonderful venue to work with and wonderful people. Inside was clean and the log cabin event center made for a beautiful setting. Any questions I had were answered in a timely manner. I wouldn’t have had our wedding day any other way! -

The staff was very personable and accommodating. Made things easy and our guests had a fantastic time. We received a lot of compliments on the venue.

What can I say about American Wilderness Campground. They were amazing to work with. Allison is super helpful, and friendly. We had a great walk-through of the venue, and the deposit was extremely affordable.
I wish we could have used the outdoor ceremony space, but Mother Nature had other ideas. It was super easy to move everything indoors and still provide me with an aisle to walk down with my dad.
They do nickel and dime you and your total cost will probably not be the $1900 as advertised. Total cost for everything came in a little under 3k with adding additional hours, bartender, ceremony space, etc. Overall still very affordable compared to similar venues. -

We couldn't beat the price for this venue...So nice inside! All pine with vaulted ceilings…Lots of windows to let in natural light…Beautiful campground too! The event center is close to the pond and pines > ideal for an outside ceremony! (We were going to do an outside ceremony but the ground was too wet so we had the ceremony inside). Our guests were very impressed with the venue! To keep costs down, we wanted a venue where we could supply our own food vendor and alcohol. American Wilderness provided the bartender (extra fee, but reasonable) and tables and chairs. The bar is off to the side of the room and a good size. There is no refrigeration in the bar but there is a huge water trough that can be filled with ice and select brews and booze. We had several coolers as well. They also have a kitchen area available for a fee as well…still, very reasonable. Perfect venue for those going for a small, rustic, not-too-formal wedding! Don’t let the word “campground” fool you! Only about 30 minutes from the Cleveland International Airport. We provided our own linens, tableware, and decor and decorated the venue that morning. If you are a DIY kinda bride, then this is the place for you! The lights in the event hall are on a dimmer which helps create the mood.... We rented up lighting for additional ambiance! In addition to hiring a wood fired pizza truck, we put out a "grazing table" for guests as well. The initial price of the venue included five hours and for an additional fee, we could add hours up to 11pm. Our ceremony and celebration was a total of 6 hours. About a week or two before your big day, they go over all the details with you > table and chair set up according to the number of guests, additional table set up for food, gifts, drink mugs, whatever you need! The event hall is NOT in the middle of the campground but at the front and parking is ample. Call and make an appointment to check out this venue! You won't be sorry! -

My fiance and I had perfect weather for our day and the venue is beautifully decorated. The lighting inside was my favorite part. Allison was cordial and always very sweet when we had inquiries. We could not have asked for a better outcome it all was great! -

I truly wish I could write a glowing review for this wedding venue, but our experience was disappointing and frustrating on several critical levels.
To begin with, the temperature inside the building was consistently over 86 degrees throughout the entire event. It was sweltering and uncomfortable, creating an unsafe environment for many guests, especially the elderly and children. Several people ended up leaving early simply because they couldn't tolerate the heat.
Accessibility was an even bigger issue. Guests with disabilities were not allowed to be dropped off near the entrance and instead had to walk uphill across a gravel parking lot—some using rollators, which made the trek extremely difficult and unsafe. For a venue hosting formal events, this lack of accommodation is unacceptable.
We were told there would be a parking attendant to help manage traffic, but instead there was someone lazily waving a flag in circles without offering any direction. It caused confusion and unnecessary traffic issues that could have easily been avoided with even minimal effort.
Inexplicably, the venue also allowed a parade to take place directly in front of the property during the wedding. The groom, who was in his military uniform, was repeatedly interrupted and asked to join the parade—as he was trying to enjoy his own wedding. It was incredibly disrespectful and disruptive to what should have been one of the most meaningful days of his life.
A wedding venue should prioritize guest comfort, accessibility, and respect for the couple's day. Unfortunately, this venue failed in all of those areas. I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a smooth, respectful, and guest-friendly experience.
