Nonstop Fun, Great Music, and a Truly Personal Touch!
Talk about a PARTY! American Entertainment, Mike Sr. and Mike Jr., are without a doubt some of the BEST in the business. From start to finish, Mike was incredible, e-mailing, calling, and texting to make sure he captured every detail of my vision. From uplighting, dance lighting, props, and an amazing photo booth, they literally have it ALL covered. The music was great, the MC’ing was engaging, and the energy they brought kept the dance floor going all night.
What truly set them apart was the personal touch. Mike remembered that my uncle, who has special needs, always dances to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and he surprised us all by bringing a full Michael Jackson costume so my uncle could perform! It was absolutely amazing, heartfelt, and one of the most memorable moments of the night.
We have trusted American Entertainment for over 20 years, and every time they deliver beyond expectations. They make every wedding (birthday party, graduation, etc.) feel unique, fun, and unforgettable. If you want incredible music, expert MC’ing, nonstop fun, and attention to every detail, you cannot go wrong with American Entertainment. A DJ Who Truly Gets It
When I say music was one of the most important parts of our wedding (second only to the groom!), I’m not exaggerating — and American Entertainment Services delivered beyond anything I could have hoped for.
Mike was incredible to work with — warm, responsive, organized, and truly invested in getting it right. I have the added pleasure of knowing Mike personally through family, but even if I hadn’t, I’d be writing the same review. Through the planning process, I got to see just how deeply he cares about what he does, and how seriously he takes his clients’ visions. And as someone with very high expectations when it comes to music, I can confidently say he nailed it.
The dance floor was packed all night, the energy never dipped, and the music hit the perfect balance between personal and crowd-pleasing. We stayed the full wedding weekend at the venue, and even guests of the inn — not part of the wedding — made a point to tell us how great the music was when they heard it from the tent. That says it all.
American Entertainment Services offers comprehensive à la carte options with extremely competitive pricing, and the value is unmatched.
It’s been almost a year since our wedding, and I genuinely miss getting to be “that client” — sending one more idea, one more song, one more tweak. Mike handled all of it with such calm and humor. I’m not sure he misses my constant messages, but I sure miss sending them.

Got my parents up dancing!!
DJ Mike was absolutely amazing at our wedding. From the moment we met him, we knew we were in good hands. Not only did he keep the dance floor packed all night long, but he also went above and beyond to ensure that everyone, including my parents, had a fantastic time. It's not easy to get my parents up and dancing, but DJ Mike managed to do it effortlessly. His flexibility and helpfulness were truly commendable. He made sure that we were always taken care of, even going as far as bringing us drinks so we didn't have to wait in line. DJ Mike's professionalism and dedication to making our wedding day special were evident throughout the entire event. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He is definitely top tier and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ who will go the extra mile to create an unforgettable experience. -

Mike is just spectacular!
DJ Mike Phillips is also a great friend and wonderful colleague...so, when he reached out and said he would be honored to DJ my daughter's wedding...it was a no brainer. As a fellow DJ, I knew that Mike and his crew would do a fantastic job...and they did! Even though the load-in at the venue was a nightmare...he did it, without complaining and with a smile on his face. Did I mention there was no air at the venue? Again...Mike knocked it out of the park and we are ever so grateful! -

All I can say is WOW!
My fiancé and I were super close to having our DJ secured on a recommendation thru the venue… then I saw DJ Mike at a friends wedding. We both agreed we HAD to have him. The knowledge, professionalism, and energy that he puts in to the wedding is outstanding. You can tell this isn’t a hobby for him and he is truly invested in making sure his clients have the time of their lives. He went as far as putting together a timeline for us and helped us stay on track the day of, as best as possible to allow us to dance for the most amount of time. That is all I wanted at my wedding… to dance!
The Photo Booth was so much fun. The lighting turned my venue into something spectacular once the lights dimmed.
On to the music. We didn’t put a lot of “thought” into our song list. I have Mike a few songs on the must play list and he ran with it. He made sure he played a little something for everyone so everybody was up dancing at one point or another. The dance floor was full the entire time.
We told Mike our vision and he went way above and beyond what we imagined.
Mike was considerably more than the $1000 DJ that we found through the venue but less than some quotes we received shopping around. I won’t lie, we were price shopping, until we saw Mike in action. I have to say he was worth every penny and then some.
Thank you Mike for making our day spectacular. If we ever need anything again, we will 100% call you.

Excellent dj... Period!
Mike helped us from start to finish to choose the "RIGHT" songs for our wedding. On our wedding night, he played every song we asked, but what I didn't take into consideration was how GREAT Mike would be at "reading the room".. Even though we told him we didn't have a lot of dancing relatives, Mike took that as a challenge and in VERY short order, Mike had just about each and every person at our wedding up and dancing .. I could not have been happier with our choice of DJ's. All in attendance made sure to tell me how great of a time they had at our wedding and then made sure to say how GREAT the DJ was. So I owe a HUGE THANK YOU to Mike for making our wedding even better than I thought it could ever be.
I HIGHLY recommend Mike for any event you have in mind.

Cannot recommend DJ Mike & his crew enough!
We saw DJ Mike at another wedding we attended. We KNEW we had to have him no matter what the cost was or what it took. I have never seen a DJ so engaging. DJ Mike interacted with the crowd. He had tons of energy introducing our bridal party and us. He made sure the night ran smoothly and everything stayed on track even when our wedding planner failed us, DJ Mike kept the ball rolling. Our photographer left before our last dance but DJ Mike took some amazing photos and sent them to us. My sister was stuck out in California due to a baby she is expecting any day. Mike “zoomed her in” which was a huge surprise. I was wondering why there was a screen setup. We also had the photo booth and the uplighting. Just simply stunning. We couldn’t ask for more. Mike and his team were incredible and I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you guys for the night of our lives -

Best night ever !!!
Mike went above and beyond for us ! He made sure everything was PERFECT!! The dance floor was packed all night!! Everyone loved the music and vibes !! Mike was hyping people up all night!! American Entertainment Services was absolutely amazing! DJ Mike was so flexible with us since we had to reschedule our wedding around 5 times due to Covid restrictions and each time there was never an issue. He was professional and a crowd pleaser, the music was great everyone was up and dancing the whole night! The photo booth he offers was an excellent addition that made for silly memories that will last a life time. I highly recommend their services as it made our wedding a night to remember!! -

My new Husband and I can’t thank Mike and Jude enough for helping make our wedding wonderful. Mike was so easy to communicate with by phone, email, or text on any questions we had leading up to our big day and was thorough when it came to our final meeting on music choices and giving great advice to make our wedding great. When the big day arrived everything went smooth thanks to Mike’s attention to detail and being on top of a tight timeline. Even when there was a slight issue with our photographer Mike stepped in immediately and resolved the problem quickly and quietly in a professional manner. Everything they did from the ceremony, to the up lighting, music, and photobooth during our reception were amazing! We got so many great compliments from family and friends saying the music was great and they had so much fun! Perfect Day

The best, the best, the best!!!
I can’t even explain how amazing Mike and Jude were! They were the absolute best. All the guest at my wedding were complimenting them all night. Right from the start Mike was so helpful. My original wedding last year was cancelled because of Covid and Mike was so understanding and flexible. He made sure everything went smooth for me and knew the best music to play. The music, uplighting, the photo booth and the picture he took were incredible! Can’t thank them enough but I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family!!! -

Great Experience!
DJ Mike was amazing to work with! he made ever accommodation for us. Throughout the night he was a fantastic MC and was able to make changes on the fly as our scheduling had a few minor last minute changes. Once the dancing started it never stopped! We received compliments for DJ Mike from both our guests and even our photographer! -

American Entertainment goes above and beyond
Dee J Mike, is incredible. So very happy we had him and American Entertainment as our DJ for our wedding. When I say above and beyond, I mean it. Our photographer was contracted for a certain amount of time, we already added 30mins of overtime but when that time was over she left with 2 hours remaining for our event. Dee J Mike took it upon himself to start taking photos and videos! At the end of the event he told us he did that and also that he was going to make a DVD and send it to us, we were amazed!
Also, when the venue was far behind in time and schedule due to Henri, the storm, Mike informed us that he will work to get the event back on track and he basically took control and with a quiet confidence guided the event back on track! Again, this was over and beyond his contracted duties, of music, entertainment and master of ceremonies!
Thank You Mike and American Entertainment for being there for us in so many ways!

Mike was a shining star at our wedding! After having been bounced around by a previous company, Mike saved the day and honestly hit it out of the park. He got everyone where they needed to be without being intrusive, pulled everyone (and I mean everyone) out onto the dance floor, and even coordinated a video call with my matron of honor who was unable to attend so that she could still give her speech. To top it all off, he took sly video throughout and created an amazing look at our reception within 24hrs! I cannot glow about him enough so truly look no further! Thank you Mike!!! -

October 2020 Minimony - DJ Mike
DJ Mike was the BEST! My husband and I had our Minimony in October 2020. We had to change our original plan for our wedding to a sooner date due to COVID restrictions and weather changes. I contacted Michael about 2 weeks prior to my changed date. He was so helpful and responsive. In such a short time, we discussed with DJ Mike the music we wanted, did not want and the plans we had for our wedding. He went above and beyond for us. The music was amazing and exactly what we loved! There was no dancing at our wedding due to the restrictions. However, you would never have even noticed. Michael made sure the crowd of 50 had fun from their seats and were apart of our whole wedding day. From the ceremony, to our first dance, cutting the cake and the end, Michael was so supportive. He checked in on me and my husband multiple times during the day to make sure we were having fun, eating and keeping the smiles on our faces. It was the most magical day and we are so glad that we had DJ Mike part of our day!
He keeps the crowd entertained and truly cares for the bride and groom.
Our family and friends keep asking us who are DJ was because they had so much fun.

Best night of our lives!
HIGHLY recommend AES! Mike had our dance floor going all night and all everyone could tell us was how amazing our Dj was. The uplighting they offer is absolutely incredible, the roof of our tent was lit up light the night sky and it was so beautiful. Very easy to work with and particular about making sure everything goes perfectly on your special day. They also offer hand sanitizer stations to help keep things safe and Covid friendly! Would highly recommend for any event!!! -

Mike was a great asset during our backyard micro wedding! Mike went above and beyond that night, and so kindly put together an amazing video of the wedding for us the next day. It made our day and helped preserve some amazing memories of our wedding. Mike was very professional and enthusiastic during the entire wedding, and got everyone up and dancing! Mike and his team were absolutely amazing!!! He helped keep our day moving smooth from beginning to finish and did everything we could have asked for and more. Mike saved our wedding day
At the last minute, our live performer bailed on us and Mike took it upon himself to ensure that the ceremony (which he was not contracted to play/perform) went off without a hitch. We are so grateful that he helped us in an instant and made sure that we had nothing to worry about a couple days before our wedding. We couldn’t recommend this company more. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone raved about Mike and his music selection. -

Amazing DJ! Highly recommend!
Mike was an amazing DJ! Through email, text and a long phone call to go over the wedding packet he had us fill out, he really took the time beforehand to get to know my husband and I! Mike put in the time and effort to ensure our special day was just what we wanted it to be. During our wedding, he played all of the songs we requested and he also threw in classics and hits that made everyone dance the whole night! He also had a side kick, Jude, who complimented Mike really well. They made a great team. Once the reception was over, so many people were telling me how awesome the DJ was. Thanks again for making me and Scot’s big day so special and memorable! -

Mike can really keep the party going!
Mike really knows how to keep the people happy. Everyone said it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. My husband and I agree 100%. The only complaint was that it had to end. Time just flies when you are having such a good time. Thanks, Mike! You are the best! -

Amazing job
Michael did a fantastic job with our wedding. He is very professional and knew exactly what music went with what was happening at our wedding. He had everyone dancing from beginning to end. We are so happy we decided to go with American entertainment and would highly recommend it! -

Our wedding
Mike was the DJ for our December 15, 2018 wedding. He brought music, his photo booth with amazing props, uplighting and FUN to our night. We started the process about a year out and he was amazing and accommodating the whole time. He made the process easy and kept us well informed of what should be happening when as well as things to think of that we hadn't already. We communicated through phone and email and he was extremely quick with responses. He was flexible throughout everything. We had a lot of kids in our wedding party and intros changed on a dime, so he was attentive and ready to change the lineup whenever we needed to...which was about 3 times!! He played awese music and kept us and our guests entertained. The lighting was perfect. The photos were a great break from the dance floor when needed....we appreciate everything and would recommend him without hesitation!!! Thanks so much, Mike!!! -

Best DJ ever!
DJ Mike was incredible to work with from the beginning! He was very accommodating with unforeseen events that happened with our wedding reception venue. We got lots of comments how awesome the DJ was at our wedding. Everything came together so nicely and he played everything we wanted and more! I would recommend and use Mike again for future events! -

Mike was an amazing DJ and so easy to work with. He had a crazy weekend but did not let that distract or hinder his focus on our day. He went above and beyond for us, purchasing specific equipment to accommodate our outdoor ceremony, and consistently played great music. I would recommend Mike, and his team, to anyone looking for a DJ. -

Mike is great to work with and an awesome DJ! He is helpful at giving advice if you are unsure about anything! He responds to emails fast and is great at communicating. He helped keep everything on time and kept the dance floor full all night! We had so many people tell us how great the DJ was, we even extended him that night to play longer. DJ Mike is so wonderful. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He responds to all emails promptly, he is so friendly and helpful over the phone, he wants your day to be perfect. He was fun and professional. I got so many compliments from guests on the lighting and music. DJ Mike is so great that he provided up lights for my indoor ceremony after I got to the venue in absolute tears over the fact that it was raining and I therefore could not be married outside. He is a fantastic DJ, MC, and overall person! Book him for anything and everything! -

Mike was great to work with! He provided both DJ and uplighting services for our wedding. My fiance(now my husband) is completely a classic rock kind of guy - AC/DC, KISS, Aerosmith, Foreigner, etc. I am a showtunes and country music woman. We both love 80's music - that's when we went to high school. Mike was able to blend both sounds for cocktail hour and dinner. And later, we had a fun game, and our specific preferences regarding the garter/bouquet were beautifully honored. Mike even made sure to play my Dad's favorite song. Dad's on oxygen, so he couldn't get up and dance, but he was bobbing his head and banging on the table in time to the music, having a great time. When we had to cut the parent dance short, due to Dad's getting low on oxygen, Mike was great about that, and smoothly working the music into our first dance. Mike and American Entertainment was really terrific to work with. I'd give him 6 stars, but there's only room for 5. I don't ever plan to get married again, but if I had a big function, I'd definitely have him for my DJ! Thanks, Mike! -

Mike and the crew he brought with him were so incredibly helpful and kind. Leading up to the wedding Mike shared alot of great ideas to help the process. So easy going and so considerate of not only our timeline but of our guests. They even paused the use of the photobooth during my dance with my dad. We could not recommend Mike and his team enough!!...everything was truly perfect! Mike listened to our ideas and our vision and was able to make it a reality for us. From the music to the lighting to the emcee-ing, including the incorporation of some special Portuguese songs that we provided, our reception was awesome!. We definitely had a lot of requests (2 brides=double trouble lol!) and a very specific idea of how we wanted our evening to go, and Mike more than exceeded our expectations! Our tables were empty and our dance floor was full all night long, and we received tremendous feedback from our family and friends who complimented both the music and the ambiance. Additionally, the photo booth was a HIT, and we love the keepsake album! If you're looking for the total package and outstanding quality and service, Mike is your guy!! American Entertainment Services did an incredible job at our wedding on Sunday night. They are extremely organized and helped us change some times around so we weren't rushed around. They do a great job getting people out on the dance floor with games and dances. Communication with them is outstanding, they are very fast with responding to emails and phone calls. They made the day very relaxing for us by talking with all the other vendors and making sure everyone was on the same page. I highly recommend them for any function. I had the most wonderful country wedding in Vermont and it was all because of the amazing work of American Entertainment Services! They kept the night going perfectly and on schedule, they were extremely organized and mainly kept everyone dancing all night long! We had a beautiful wedding but it wouldn't have been so good if it wasn't for our entertainers! If you need to spend any money on your wedding, invest in your DJ. It is well worth it to not have to worry about anything and you can enjoy your wedding! I know we all did! -

Michael was great with giving us information to plan out the day with music selections. Gave us documentation that guided us to provide him with information so that we both knew what would be going on for the whole event. For my wedding I had everything planned down to the bone except some music selections, working with American Entertainment Services, DJ Mike, it was apparent that he knew what he was doing! He helped me select the unknown slots of music I needed and provided ideas about continuous entertainment as I wanted. He even provided additional check list that brides-to-be should check out. American Entertainment Services, also provided back lights to the ceremony and the reception which went VERY WELL with my color scheme!!
The enjoyment DJ Mike has when working, made me feel privileged to have him as our entertainment!

Many thanks to Michael Phillips and his team at American Entertainment Services for making our Peabody Essex Museum wedding so special! Michael and his team displayed the utmost professionalism. He assisted my husband and I through the planning process creating a detailed reception timeline, and contacting all of our vendors so they were all on the same page. Michael also set us up with our amazing photographer Eric Snyder: http://www.ericandrewphotographynh.com/weddings, and came through for us when the person we assigned to perform the blessing unexpectedly couldn't make it.
Michael and his team also created the best night club reception feel with his amazing lighting and DJ skills. The photo booth and prop staff were fantastic!
