Wonderfully talented photographer
Amber photographed my wedding in December 2022 and my top level review is that Amber is exceedingly good at her job and a total delight to work with. I have long thought of myself as not very photogenic and I was very nervous about getting my picture taken. Amber instantly put both me and my partner at ease. And her photographs, both from the engagement session and the wedding, came out beautifully. They capture the spirit, energy and ambiance of the event. The photos aren’t overly stylized, she didn’t enforce a particular viewpoint. They’re just delightful, well-framed, well-lit snapshots from the night. On a technical note, most of my wedding happened after dark and I was worried the photographs would turn out blurry but Amber managed to capture clean photographs throughout the event. I’m not planning to get married again, but if I were to, I’d hire Amber again in a heartbeat.

Amber’s raw talent and eye for capturing the moment is unparalleled and truly a gift. Meeting with Amber prior to our wedding for our engagement shoot gave us the utmost confidence that she would do an exceptional job at capturing our special day and she more than delivered. Along with her professional and easygoing team, the photos from our wedding encapsulate the joy we felt throughout the day and make us grateful to relive the moments over again when viewing Amber’s work.

Lauren Sent on 10/12/2017Honestly where do I begin. My husband and I LOVE our wedding photos. Amber, Nancy, Shannon and Carly were the absolutely wedding photography dream team. Amber is just amazing and has a great eye. The moment my husband and I saw her and Shannon's work we were blown away and knew we needed to have one of them capture our special day. First off, Nancy was super responsive and really took the time to help make sure everything was all set and ready to go - answering questions in record time (we live in London with a 5 hour time difference so this was pretty spectacular!). Well I honestly don't know where to start, Shannon and Carly captured our day perfectly - getting every shot we could have dreamed of - not to mention they made me look great so there's that :) Honestly, we didn't want the posed only shots, we really wanted someone to capture the heartbeat of the day, the non-posed smiles, the laughs, the happiness, the sadness (only the flower girl went and stubbed her toe and we have a hilarious picture of her crying - we are horrible, we know!), and the beautiful, intimate moments between me, my husband, our family and friends. Honestly when we looked at them, we cried a little because we literally re lived the day by looking through them and were just blown away with how they were able to capture it all. You definitely get what you pay for with Amber Gress Photography and whilst it might be more expensive then your run of the mill everyday photographer, this was the one area we knew we wanted to spend to get exactly what we want. And exactly what we want, is what we got.

User2466887 Sent on 12/14/2015I'm thrilled that my husband and I went with Amber Gress Photography for our wedding! We worked with her associate, Shannon, and we could not be happier with how everything turned out! Shannon knew that staying on schedule was a huge priority for me, so she made sure to organize the shots and flow of the day around ensuring we were at the venue on time and still hit all of my requests on our shot list. She was a fun and calming presence throughout the whole day, and she gets a TON of credit for wrangling a large bridal party plus family in a public space :) Also, she somehow managed to get a ton of "natural" (or non-posed) shots, which is way harder to do than I thought! We got our web gallery in a timely manner post-wedding and we are thrilled with our photos! HIGHLY recommend Amber Gress Photography as a whole as well as Shannon specifically! -
User2013579 Sent on 01/18/2015We found Amber to be a breeze to work with and are so happy with the pictures we have. We enlisted Amber's services for our engagement photos, Save the Date photo, as well as wedding photos. All turned out great. Amber is brilliant at couple shots - she knows exactly how to get the best out of you (and how to change things up when photo-fatigue sets in). She was a true pro on our wedding day and fun to be around. The staff she works with are great too - the second shooter and Photo Booth photographers she brought on board were really fun to work with and we got compliments on all of them. Our only problem now is that we have so many photos we love, we won't be able to decide on which ones to frame! -
User1935046 Sent on 11/22/2014Amber is a sweetheart through and through. Not only are her photographs gorgeous, she has a wonderful and friendly presence that puts her subjects at ease. We were very happy with our choice to have Amber photograph our wedding day: she worked tirelessly from the moment she arrived, past her contracted time, without any complaint! And the results are stunning; not a bad one in the bunch. We would not hesitate to recommend her.
