Stunning Photographer & Photos

From the moment we met Amanda, her passion and talents were evident. On our intro call we decided to hire Amanda. We felt a sense of kinship with her and admiration for her art. Truly, we never had a moment of pause or question if she was the right choice. Early on, she set the stage for the day helping us to outline a rought timeline and holding our hand as we had questions (AND DID WE HAVE QUESTIONS: locations, transportation, permits…).

Working with her leading up to the big day was super easy. She kept impecable notes, and had easy to fill out questionaires that helped ensure we got all of the portraits and photos we wanted.

You only get one chance to document your special day and the photos Amanda took are our passport back to the emotional highs, the laughs, the love, and the memories. Every detail that we spent two years scrutinizing over were forever captured in a stunning way.

Amanda embodies a balance that is not easy to find. She was easy going as changes to the timeline happened, but she was firm in keeping us moving on our big day to not miss a beat. She masterfully handled family dynamics. And still had time for the personal moments to check in with us—which as the day was rushing by—was needed.

We are forever greatful for the beautiful shots of our loved ones and of us. We cannot recommend Amanda enough if you are considering her to shoot your special day.

Amanda did both our engagement and wedding photos. Over the whole wedding process, she was probably our favorite vendor! She is bubbly, gives clear and direct instructions, and produces top-quality results. We will be engaging her for other special times in our lives. I can't recommend her highly enough. Thank yourself later

Amanda made our wedding day incredible. She was flexible, she gave direction, she checked in with me often to make sure I was feeling well with the heat and long pictures. She was everything I needed to get through the day. She is the type of person that instantly makes you feel comfortable. Both of our families commented on how wonderful and organized she was. Communication through the planning process was also incredible. This is one of the most important vendors you hire, make it Amanda and thank yourself later.

A day-of lifesaver!

Amanda was such a lifesaver to work with from beginning to end. She was very flexible and easy to work with even through our three-year engagement & two postponements due to the pandemic. Once we got closer to the wedding, Amanda's organization skills really came into play and even helped us make some key timeline decisions. The wedding day is where I really valued having Amanda by my side. Once she and her team showed up, I pretty much gave up full control of the day and trusted her to keep our timeline intact and have everything run smoothly since she had such a good understanding of how we wanted the day to go. What I especially appreciated is the communication throughout the day to let us know what we did and didn't have time for so we can ultimately decide what photos/locations were most important to us. Following the wedding, we could not be happier with the final product for the full photo gallery as well as the physical photo albums. We highly recommend working with Amanda!

Funny, candid, talented

Amanda is the perfect Photographer in the Philadelphia area! She was very flexible and met us outside of our venue location for couples portraits. She was very organized with family portraits and really can control a large crowd! The candid photos through the ceremony and evening are an absolute must! Amanda was so easy to work with, very responsive, and we got our pictures back so fast! We have used Amanda for 2 family weddings because of how talented and easy to work with she is! She fits right in! Would highly recommend!

Amazing Experience!

Finding a photographer was one of the biggest concerns I had around wedding planning. After speaking to Amanda once I knew she would be perfect. Amanda was so patient with us and gave us great advice when it came to planning for the big day, recommending places to photograph and making sure we knew about any permits needed. I distinctly remember having one basic question about lighting to which she replied with a four paragraph email complete with photos and diagrams. Talk about going above and beyond! My husband and I aren't super comfortable in front of a camera and Amanda and her team put us at ease immediately. It was so nice getting to do an engagement session ahead of time so we got to know her before the big day. She even allowed us to incorporate our pit bull into our engagement session! On the day of Amanda was totally organized and efficient - directing everyone where they needed to go, even helping me get my dress on correctly! She managed family photos with ease and dealt with difficult lighting as our wedding was after dark. You would never know it was challenging based on the photos she created! We wanted a ton of candids since we did not have a wedding party and she did not disappoint! I would recommend Amanda for any special occasion!

Perfect!!!

Amanda was the PERFECT photographer. From the initial video chat, to our engagement pictures, to our actual wedding day, Amanda was everything we could have hoped for in a photographer and more. She was personable, friendly, caring, professional, and extremely quick with responses.We had never had professional pictures taken before so we were a little nervous, but Amanda immediately melted away those nerves and made us feel so comfortable while taking pictures and we had so much fun while doing it! She kept in touch leading up to the wedding day and picked a great second shooter for the day. For both the engagement shoot and the wedding day, she got us our sneak peek pictures way quicker than we expected, and then got us the full gallery of pictures very soon after. We are so happy that we picked Amanda to capture our special day because she was absolutely perfect.

Beautiful Wedding Photos

We got married in November of 2021. Our goal was to find a photographer who didn’t overly edit/brighten their photos (you know the ones where you can’t see the details in a bride’s white dress because it’s so brightened). Amanda delivered and then some. We found Amanda through our venue and she gave us the perfect wedding photos (and engagement photos) that are currently playing on the Google hub in our kitchen. Her work is stunning, of course, but she's also a wonderful person to work with.

A few days before our wedding, we were anxiously watching the weather forecast because we had planned to have our wedding photos taken at a local park. Amanda reached out to me to brainstorm a few places as a backup plan. She proactively contacted a few venues and even came out to look at them with me (and brought her adorable little daughter) to see how they’d work. Lo’ and behold, the heavens opened up and we had a torrential downpour on our hands the morning of our wedding. However, by the time we were ready for photos, the ground was dry, the sun was shining, and we had 60° of pure first look bliss. Amanda, her second and third shooters (Olga & Josh) were truly lovely and had no trouble pivoting back to our original plan. They then stayed with us all day and night and on the dance floor capturing every moment.

Amanda sent us sneak peaks online then within just a few weeks uploaded the nearly 1000 photos to an online portal for us so we could share with our family and friends. Every photo was beautifully taken and we could not be happier. Amanda was so caring and so easy to work with and we will have these gorgeous memories forever because of her. Thank you, Amanda!

Highly recommended!

We did our engagement and wedding pictures with Amanda and are so happy we did! Amanda was so friendly, organized, and amazing to work with from our first meeting - throughout the entire process, she listened to our input, made helpful suggestions and made everything so much easier. I appreciated that she really took the time to get to know us. My husband and I are very camera-shy but Amanda was able to help us feel comfortable and take such great shots! Having her and her team (Rebecca and Josh) on our wedding day helped make everything go so smoothly. They were flexible but still kept us on schedule, making adjustments as needed so we didn’t have to worry about anything. Amanda had our engagement and wedding sneak peaks and full albums ready soon after and the pictures were beautiful with a great mix of formal and candid shots - we love them! The wedding pictures came in delivered in a beautifully packaged box and it was such a thoughtful touch. Amanda is awesome!

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Amanda. Neither of us are particularly comfortable being photographed, but Amanda has such a warm and friendly personality that she made the whole thing easy. She has an incredible eye and all of our wedding photos are beautiful! She and her second shooter captured excellent candids from our reception, and we will have a collection of photos to remember our wedding that we'll cherish for a long time.

Genuine and Candid Photography

Amanda was able to work safely and healthily with us throughout 2020 and 2021 with Covid, whether through phone call, email, zoom, or socially distanced outdoors, with mask :). She helped my fiancé at the time and I pick an engagement session location as she is very knowledgeable of the area. She perfectly managed our expectations of the entire process and planning as well as was flexible with timelines. She was a big help with making us feel comfortable posing. Amanda is so kind, professional, and thorough and we are so appreciative of her efforts. She surprised us with completing our edited photos in a week from the engagement session and maybe a month from our wedding, which was lovely! The photographs and overall work of Amanda Iris Photography are of tremendous quality and individuality and truly speak volumes for itself! My husband and I are so happy we had the opportunity to work with Amanda as she not only captured the celebration of our engagement, and along with her great team, our wedding, amazingly, but we also feel as though we got to build a special relationship with an awesome person. Amazing experience with Amanda throughout our wedding!!!

I have nothing but great things to say about Amanda and her team!!
She was organized, on time and made sure us as the bride and groom were satisfied and happy during photos and after!

My favorite part about using her is the photos she takes aren’t forced or staged, everything is so real and candid!

Not only did she take the time before the wedding to find perfect places for first look options she even went out of her way to find photos before the ceremony that was safe, clean and quiet (our wedding was Labor Day which was made in America weekend)

The Perfect Fit!

Amanda was great. She stuck with us throughout the entire pandemic ups and downs, and was a very positive and encouraging influence for us during all the unknowns. The best engagement photographer

Amanda was incredible! My fiancé and I were looking for an engagement photographer to capture some candid, natural shots in the city where we met. We came across her lovely portfolio which featured just what we were looking for - relaxed, intimate and absolutely gorgeous photos that just draw you in, featuring the couples front and center while highlighting Philly's hidden beauty in the backdrop.

I reached out to Amanda and was immediately impressed by her professionalism, thoroughness, and kindhearted nature that just puts people at ease. We had to reschedule our shoot not once, but twice (the first time was pre-spring blossoms and the bare branches left much to be desired, and the second time we were thwarted by a rainstorm!). Each time she was promptly reachable via email/text, gracious, and accommodating.

We finally lucked out and caught the golden hour, and she captured some stunning photos of us just chilling, yet looking 10 times more awesome than we do in real life. Let's be honest, having someone you just met take photos of you and your significant other hugging/kissing/etc can be pretty awkward but Amanda found just the right balance between letting us be ourselves and giving us some artistic guidance with cute poses that still felt natural. We were also pleasantly surprised by her super quick turnaround time - we expected around a month as most photographers promise, but she delivered a fabulous collection of photos we will cherish forever in under a week! We recommend Amanda without hesitation to anyone looking for engagement photos in the Philly area.

The absolute best!!!

Amanda is the absolute best!!! Her photographs are stunning! Artistic and candid, fun and beautiful all wrapped into one! But most importantly, Amanda is an absolute gem. She immediately put me and my husband at ease so that she could capture the love we share. Beginning with our engagement photos and then again as soon as she and her team arrived on wedding day, I was instantly put at ease. She is calm and in control (even when things out of her control didn't go 100% according to plan -- she rolled with it and made it work). I put my trust in Amanda and she exceeded my expectations! Hands down best decision we made for our wedding!

Amanda was my favorite part of my February 21st, 2020 wedding day, other than marrying my husband of course! But our love for Amanda started the second we met her! My amazing husband had hired another photographer to capture his proposal, but when we got the photos, we had a really hard time finding a great shot of both of us to use for our Save the Dates. So we decided to shop around for photographers. A friend of mine told me that an old friend of hers was wedding photographer and directed me to Amanda. Amanda was super sweet and accommodating in setting up an in-person meeting to show us her style and talk through what we wanted for our wedding photos. We chatted for over an hour that first meeting and as soon as we were back home, we both looked at each other and said "I love her." We booked her and a few months later we had our engagement photo shoot with her right in our very own neighborhood. She so fun and friendly that we forgot that she had a camera in her hands capturing those little moments of pure joy and love. We were beyond thrilled with the photos from our engagement shoot with Amanda and couldn't wait for the wedding day. She arrived on our wedding day with her equally amazing photographer side-kick Meghan and the experience was exactly the same the whole day. She helped move the schedule along, especially trying since we had a large bridal party, including 2 under the age of 5! She was incredibly patient the entire day - she even helped me not have a total melt-down when wedding cake got dropped on my dress! We trusted her eye so much that we just told her a few spots where we wanted photos and let her and Meghan take the wheel staging shots. We were so excited when Amanda told us our photos were ready that we met her that very day to pick up them up. She packaged the UBS drive and a few prints so beautifully - an unexpected but very lovely touch! The final photos were stunning, I really can't describe how much I love them. Lots of great candid shots and the "formal" posed photos still feel relaxed and natural. It was truly an honor to have Amanda shoot our wedding, hands down best decision we made for our wedding! I can’t begin to describe how amazing Amanda and her team is to work with. She made us feel so comfortable all day while taking some of the best photos of us, family and friends. My family surprised me and had Amanda at my bridal shower which was absolutely incredible. I’ve been looking at our wedding photos non stop since I got them. I can’t decide what to print or put in a album. They are that good. I also sent the link to family and friends and everyone I knew who had recently been married told me that they were jealous at the amount of guest photos the team got. I highly recommend you book her in advanced. She was very flexible with plans and inserted her professional opinion in a very respectful way. Amazing Photographer

Amanda shot our June 2019 wedding and we loved every minute of working with her! We got her biggest package - and we are so glad we did. Starting with our engagement shoot - she coached us through it (which we really needed) and we quickly became friends. As the wedding day was getting closer, she would check in occasionally and go over important wedding day details that helped make the day go smoother. The morning of the wedding, when Amanda arrived I was so calmed by her being there, and things really started to fall into place! She took amazing photos and was SUCH a big help on the day of, making sure we had time to do everything we planned on and getting every shot! She really became a friend during all of this and was so sad to say goodbye at the end of the night! When we got our photos back - we were crying tears of joy about how amazing they were. Easy decision!

We knew that we wanted to hire Amanda as our photographer from the start, having seen her work firsthand as the photographer for my sister's wedding a couple of years ago. Having this level of confidence made all the difference in planning our wedding from across the country. She even took the time to do a last minute engagement session with us the week before our wedding due to our lack of availability.

All in all, Amanda's energy and attention to detail made our wedding day a breeze. We took our shots right in the middle of downtown Philly on a crowded summer day, and she was able to roll with the surrounding chaos with ease and got a good variety of shots with both our bridal party and as a couple. We were very happy with our final prints and received so many compliments from our family and friends about the quality of the pictures. Lastly, Amanda added one last personal touch by providing a set of prints in a customized box for us (including the USB stick) - a nice final touch to make our first look at pictures even more special. After having ordered our prints (you receive a voucher to customize your own selections for convenience) and framed them for our home, we would easily recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding!

Amazing photographer

Being photographed can be awkward, but not with Amanda. From the initial one on one meeting to getting our prints back everything about working with Amanda and her crew was fun and effortless. I felt like I was being photographed by a friend and one of the most awesome things is that Amanda doesn't stop the party to take posed pictures, she captures authentic, genuine moments without interrupting. I was surprised to see things that I had missed on the day and was so glad she captured them. Weddings can be stressful, working with Amanda is not.

We love Amanda!

We absolutely loved working with Amanda. We knew that photography was something we wanted to invest in, since the pictures from our wedding were one of the few things that we would have to remember our big day. Starting from our engagement session (which is included in her pricing and something she prefers to do so she can get to know her couples), we felt comfortable working with her. We wanted to incorporate our pups into our engagement session, and she was willing to allow us to start the session at a local park, take the dogs home, and then head over to FDR park (one of her recommendations, since we did not have a particular spot in mind) for the part of the session with just the two of us.

Ahead of the wedding, Amanda came out to the venue to scope it out and check out locations on the property where we’d like to do pictures. On our wedding day, Amanda drove us around on the golf cart provided by the venue (I don’t think she intended to do this, but she rolled with it) so we could hit all of the spots. Her second photographer was absolutely wonderful as well. It was a really humid day, and Amanda made sure to take care of us so that we didn’t get too hot and my makeup didn’t melt before the ceremony. In the end, we got SO MANY beautiful pictures from our wedding. We get compliments on our pictures, and love looking back at our day. Amanda also provides a credit for prints, and provided us several prints that she selected when giving us our digital copy of the pictures.

We could not be happier with our choice to use Amanda as our photographer – she made us both feel comfortable, and it felt like we hired a friend to take our pictures, rather than someone we had just met during the wedding planning process.

Amazing!!!

As I starting planning our wedding one of my biggest concerns was our pictures. Pictures are something concrete that you have for the rest of your life. I also needed to feel comfortable with the photographer since she would be with me the entire day! From my first phone call with Amanda, I had an instant repoire. When we met, I knew we had found our photographer and a new ‘friend’. Our journey,started with our engagement photos at Boat House Row in Philadelphia. Once we got our pictures back, I knew we made the right decision with Amanda Iris Photography. Some amazing angles and pictures were captured throughout Vesper Boat House.

After the engagement shoot came the wedding!!
Amanda met me at my house to photograph myself, mom and bridesmaids all getting ready. As Meg captured pictures of my husband and his groomsmen. We have a lot of family and coordinating them can be challenging but not for Amanda - she took charge and got pictures with everyone. The church pictures are stunning!

We got married in March and there was some snow and she was able to photograph the pictures with the sun hitting it. She had so many beautiful touches. I can honestly say I do not have one bad picture.

Not only were the photos amazing, Amanda made the ordering process easy. She answered every question sending me videos of the metal prints so we could get an idea of what we wanted. We can’t wait to see the finished product.

Amanda Iris Photography is absolute excellence. My husband and I found Amanda through a mutual friend as she also shot the pictures for her engagement and wedding. Absolutely amazing experience!

The easiest decision of planning our wedding was hiring Amanda! Our engagement shoot and the wedding day were a breeze. We had no worries. We knew we would have beautiful pictures. During our engagement shoot, she worked with us to make us comfortable and at ease. The same was true for our wedding in July 2018. We had a very hot day and a thunderstorm was in the forecast. She worked with us, our bridal party and families so we were able to get in all our photos before the storm. She is a true professional and the images speak for themselves regarding her talent. Do not hesitate!

Just wow! Words can't explain how great Amanda was from the moment I spoke to her! Before even booking Amanda, she emailed me a rough draft schedule of my wedding day of a timeline and when she would be at each location and for how long. Talk about organization! Communicating with her was so so easy and she made sure that we got every picture we wanted by having a list weeks before the wedding! Not a single shot was missed and the action/ candid shots were beyond perfect. I personally need someone who is going to tell me what to do, and Amanda knew how to take charge! That is super important on your big day because things can get out of control! Every single photo was beautiful and our family and friends love them! It also helped that Amanda was so nice and personable, and she really took the time to get to know us! I can't say anything but great things about Amanda Iris! Amanda was the first and only photographer we met with while planning our wedding. We knew right away that we wanted to work with her (I mean, she met us at a bar and allowed my husband to eat wings while showing us her talented work samples... despite me telling him not to order food!) Her positive, fun and energetic personality made taking those cute, yet awkward candid shots easy and she did a great job capturing both candid and portrait shots for our engagement and wedding day photos. Unfortunately it rained on our wedding day but she was there to give me the pep talk I needed - she knew how bad I wanted first look photos outside at the venue, as well as sparkler shots at the end of the night, so she made sure to make it happen. She also got a lot of great shots of our guests during the ceremony and reception. Overall, we were very happy with our choice to work with Amanda.

We were referred to Amanda through our good friends who used her for their wedding. From the moment we met at her home studio to saying our goodbyes on the day of our wedding, we could not be happier with our experience. She is professional, warm, caring, and goes above and beyond to make sure your photos turn out amazing. She is very responsive to emails, questions, invoices etc. We established a timeline in the early stages and were able to bounce ideas back and forth about shooting locations etc. She took all of our requests (ie city hall, mural shots) and incorporated her artistic vision and the pictures came out amazing! Having Amanda as our wedding photographer still seems meant to be. My husband and I had originally hired a photography company to do the job but we quickly realized we had made a big mistake. Upon emailing Amanda, explaining our situation and the pickle we were in, she responded within minutes. Her energy was calm and reassuring from the beginning. We immediately knew we were in good hands.

On the day of our wedding, Amanda captured countless perfect moments all while being so incredibly honest, professional, and hilarious. We even had multiple guests later comment about how awesome she was.

I will add this because it shows the true character of Amanda. Halfway through our wedding, I got a migraine and missed a lot of our reception. Amanda, at the end of her night, actually came to check on me across the street at the hotel and bring me my wedding gown (I had changed into something more comfy at the venue). She was essentially the one to tuck me into bed on my wedding night, as silly as that sounds. She also realized our hotel room card was missing, managed to get another, and then brought it back to my groom so he wouldn’t be locked out later that night. She’s truly a wedding photographer wonder woman.

As any bride would be, I was so upset about missing such a big part of my wedding. However, when we did receive our wedding photos, they somehow made the situation less awful. The photos were just perfect. It’s been months and I still can’t even tell you my favorite because there’s so many. Amanda is wonderful inside and out and so incredibly talented. She cares deeply about her couples and will go above and beyond for them. We HIGHLY recommend her. She will not disappoint!

Being a photographer myself, I have attended numerous weddings where the photographer is lacking in skills or professionalism. Having been in a wedding party myself where Amanda was the photographer, I am able to judge that she is not lacking in anything. The day was both sunny and overcast but she took advantage of her surroundings and optimize the lighting for her shots. I was really impressed with her prep work and the quality of her pictures. She gets the shots without being intrusive and goes above and beyond the standard requirements. We had a large wedding party with multiple locations and Amanda was able to capture everyone and everything. Her personality made it easy for her to work with the young and the elderly. The proofs were sent out timely and they were top notch. I am only sorry that I did not hire her for my own wedding.

Amanda and her entire crew were amazing! In my case, I was the brother of the bride (with and extra small tux jacket!). Not only did she find a way to blend my mishap in all day she had such a fun personality about it. She fit into the group like family, seriously...she reminded me a little too much like my little sister. I remember sitting down and reviewing the pics my sister and brother and law sent us. Amanda captured everything from timeless moments to the extra special times on the dance floor (dancing brother of the bride all night!). We chose Amanda to shoot our wedding in November of '17 and could not have been happier with the decision. Hiring Amanda was one of the easiest and best decisions we made for our wedding! Amanda was the best decision that my wife and I made throughout the entire process of planning our wedding. We knew that our wedding photos were incredibly important to us, so I did my research when it came to finding a photographer. We knew from our initial conversation with her (in which she hosted us at her own home in Philadelphia) that she was the one. We had a great experience working with Amanda for our August 2017 wedding. My now husband and I are absolutely amazed by the hard work, and love that Amanda put into our engagement, and wedding photos. There is only one Amanda Iris! Amanda has shot my brother's wedding, my engagement, my wedding, and a lot of my friend's events. Amanda is wonderful! My fiancé (now husband) and I met Amanda in her home for our initial meeting before booking her as our wedding photographer. She welcomed us into her home with open arms and made us feel comfortable right away. She had never met us before but her genuine excitement to talk to us about our upcoming wedding, wedding plans, and hopes for the day was so heartfelt and her energy was contagious. She was not pushy at all and was very honest and straightforward regarding questions and concerns that we had. She was patient and helpful with the numerous e-mails I sent her leading up to the wedding regarding both her services as well as questions about other vendors and the wedding planning process. My fiancé hates getting his picture taken, but Amanda had us laughing throughout the engagement session, helping to calm his nerves. Come our wedding day Amanda was timely, professional, and dedicated to getting the perfect shots. She met all of our expectations and hit on all of the important pictures we wanted taken for the day. She went above and beyond and captured pictures we didn’t even know we wanted/needed, but now that we have them back I am so glad she captured those moments. The personal connection that Amanda brings to her work cannot be beat, and the quality of her work is outstanding. She possesses the necessary skills but also takes the extra time to ensure your experience and your final product are everything you could have hoped for and more! Highly recommend!

I found Amanda on Yelp and after one email I knew that we wanted to work with her. Amanda is easy going, affordable, and worked to help my fiancé and I feel comfortable as we are both a bit camera shy. Amanda gave excellent direction and was not afraid to give her input if we had awkward poses or faces and she was an all-around joy to work with. Her turnaround time for editing was around 2 weeks (we took photos in off peak wedding season) and we got plenty of photos that we loved.

I would HIGHLY recommend Amanda for engagement photography!

I could not have asked for a better photographer. Amanda made the entire process so easy and enjoyable. She listens and makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera on such an important but sometimes stressful day. She is organized and responsive and answered my numerous questions. Amanda shot our engagement photos back in August and every single one of them came out more beautiful than the next!! I've been debating which ones to frame and which ones to blow up on a canvas ever since.

Working with Amanda is like working with an old friend. She's passionate, creative, sweet, understanding, and she certainly knows what she's doing. Amanda highly recommended an engagement as a chance for us to not only get comfortable in front of the camera, but also, with her. Needless to say, the entire experience was well worth it. I am beyond glad we did it. Not only was it so much fun, but now I know how to pose for our big day! Amanda made us feel SO comfortable during the shoot. I was nervous and giddy at first, but Amanda helped me relax. And having no prior experience with photo shoots, we were literally clueless. But she knew exactly where and how to place us. She shot using various techniques and was always on the hunt for the perfect lighting to make us glow. She suggested an awesome, unique spot for our engagement photos, too (the campus at Princeton University), and because of her, we now have beautiful mementos of our engagement.

Amanda will be shooting our upcoming wedding in February and I look forward to just as amazing photos! Thank you so much. :)

AMANDA IS RADIANT! I was completely amazed by her skill and vision. My fiancé and I were really able to see how Amanda and her team captured beautiful candid shots from an engagement session. She set the stage and put everyone at ease with her words of encouragement and thoughtful direction. We truly appreciate her willingness to do anything to get the perfect shot (including literally getting down in the dirt and in the middle of the flowers, LOL)! My surprise proposal was amazing and was memorable thanks to Amanda! Everything went better than my fiancé could have possibly expected. Amanda and Danielle are truly special. We recently had our engagement session with Amanda and there aren't enough positive words to express how happy we are with the entire experience. I would highly recommend her for your engagement photos or any other photography needs.

For starters, our photos are amazing!! All of them are 'frame worthy,' but my favorites are the random artsy shots that only someone with a good eye can pick out. Amanda is extremely warm and patient and made us feel very comfortable (we were seriously nervous at first). She physically showed us what we needed to do to make it look natural until we got the hang of it (and got into it) and it definitely shows through in the photos. We also have a big height difference (one and a half feet); I was convinced that we would look ridiculous. However, she is a professional and knows exactly how to bring out your best. It's worth mentioning that we live in NYC (getting married in Philly). Amanda was totally flexible and willing to work with us to accommodate our tight schedule.

I can go on and on, but the bottom line is there are sooo many decisions to make during the wedding planning process, but this was an easy one for us. Now I'm even more excited for the wedding because I know we are in good hands!!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience than we had with Amanda as our photographer! My now husband and I were planning a Philadelphia wedding while living in Boston, so a lot of our vendor search had to be done via phone call or e-mails. Amanda was recommended to us, and after looking through her website and easy communication with her by e-mail, we knew she would be our photographer. Despite having already taken photos in Boston for our save the dates, we met Amanda in November for an engagement shoot so she could get to know us. Since we had never been professionally photographed together we were a little uncomfortable going into it, but Amanda helped us relax and take it a little less seriously. Having done this made a big difference on our wedding day since we knew more of what to expect!

Although we did not see Amanda again until our wedding day in August, she was always prompt in answering my e-mails full of random questions. She sent us a detailed timeline from start to finish from the "getting ready" photos all the way through the end of the reception, and she checked in with us to see if we had any specific requests. Amanda also helped us choose a location for our first look and bridal party photos, and helped us get the proper permits to take pictures there.Despite it being ridiculously hot on our day, Amanda somehow managed to be wiping our sweat while still making everyone look amazing. From the formal shots to candids at the reception, every picture is a reminder of how much fun we had at our wedding. She somehow got pictures of everyone and every little detail while capturing the spirit of the day. We have gotten so many compliments on our pictures, and we can't thank her enough! I find myself looking through our online gallery and smiling at the pictures. We printed and framed several photos, and we are currently working on creating an album.I promise you will not regret working with Amanda if you choose her as your wedding photographer!!!

I will admit that I was very nervous that Amanda could not photograph our wedding due to being booked for another wedding on the same day, but she works with the best of the best photographers. We met Meg the day of our engagement photo shoot in December, 2015. She seriously takes the same exact kind of photos as Amanda, absolutely beautiful. I immediately fell in love with her. Meg, like Amanda was very down to earth, super fun and very creative. She made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. She even put on skates without a second thought and got out on the ice with us to capture the most beautiful photos. We would tell her an idea and she would run with it and make it 10 times better. After the engagement photo shoot, I knew without a doubt that I had nothing to worry about. On wedding day 5/14/16, we met Rich, our second photographer. Such a cool, friendly, patient person. They both arrived on time and shot some very nice, creative getting ready photos. I was very happy that my husband also had his own photographer. Rich thought of everything, the details he captured are amazing. It was a wonderful experience to work with Meg and Rich. They understood us and were both so patient and nice to our family and wedding party. They mingled with our friends and family at the reception and made sure to take pictures of everything and everyone. You receive your photos in a timely manner, you will not have to wait long for your photos. The best part was when Amanda personally delivered the wedding photos to us on a USB drive. The presentation was beautiful. We asked Amanda to stay with us while we looked at our photos. It was such an emotional and happy experience. The photos tell our wedding day story so beautifully. We were so glad to have shared that moment with her. Amanda has become a great friend. We absolutely love her. Photos are breath taking. Meg and Rich are very talented. The best photographers in Philly!

We made the right choice in choosing Amanda Iris photography to shoot our wedding on July 2nd, 2016. Amanda and her second shooter, Samantha went above and beyond for our wedding and delivered phenomenal photos that captured all the special moments of our day. The photos were breathtaking, stunning, creative and artistic--we still can't decide which ones we like the best! (All of them!) Her bubbly personality made everyone feel at ease and she made us feel very special. It is very apparent that she loves what shes does, and it shows in her work. We were amazed how professional and organized she was in directing our bridal party members and making sure we are on schedule, since we requested a lot of shots and had a big bridal party. Amanda was a pleasure to work with and she is more than your typical photographer; from applying lipstick, fixing dresses/collars/bow ties/trains, helping with wedding planning ideas, drafting timelines and climbing on top of window frames in the hotel to get the perfect shot, she made our photography experience fun and everlasting. We absolutely love all of our pictures and would recommend Amanda Iris Photography 100%! We can't wait to have our next photo session with her! : )

Amanda is organized, helpful and immensly talented. She is totally unphased by any wedding day hiccups and make sure as the bride you aren't either. Her prices and personality are the reason me and my husband knew right away that we were not looking anywhere else for our wedding photographer. I could not be more pleased with how our engagement and wedding photos turned out. Our newly engaged friends are using Amanda after seeing our wedding photos! Within the first five minutes of meeting with Amanda, I knew that I wanted her as my wedding photographer. She has incredible warmth and such a lively and vivacious personality that she immediately makes you feel at ease—which is exactly what I needed on the day of the wedding! From that very first meeting, she was willing to work with what we wanted, answered any and all questions we had within a timely fashion, and totally delivered on both our engagement and wedding photos (on which we’ve received tons of compliments from friends and family). My husband and I used Amanda Iris Photography for our September 2015 wedding. Amanda was more than a photographer; she was like a day-of coordinator. She obviously has been a part of many wedding (including her own) so she made gave VERY helpful timing advice and just got everything to flow perfectly. When I needed lip stick, Amanda was to apply it with one hand as she held the camera in the other!! She made everything timed perfectly so that we were able to get all my important "Must have" shots. She was sweet, but very direct with everyone to ensure that everyone was where they should be. I wanted my picture in front of the LOVE statue in Love Park... on a Saturday afternoon in Sept. Anyone from the Philly area knows that it a crowded area. She cleared the area in 5 seconds and snapped a bunch of photos quickly. Honestly, the girl will do anything to get the perfect shot. We received our photos hand delivered and we were floored. We received the prefect amount of wedding date details, portraits, candids and reception dance floor antics. Everyone raves about how beautiful our pictures were and how great Amanda was on our wedding day. We also got an engagement photo shoot in our package and those pictures were amazing as well. I have already given out Amanda's social media pages to friends looking for photographers because I know they will be impressed and she could never disappoint! One of the top vendors that made my wedding day truly special. I mean, she gave me so many great shots that I can't even pick ones to print!

I can't say enough about how amazing Amanda was from the time we first met her throughout the entire wedding day!! She's so easy to work with, flexible, and talented. She was on top of everything on my wedding day at each location we were at, she was also very patient and kept our groomsmen in line (who were not the best behaved!) Amanda shot our wedding for us on May 29, 2015 and it was a ridiculously fantastic experience. When I first began talking with Amanda about whether or not she would be able to shoot our wedding, her price initially caught my eye - but her wonderful personality blew me away (which is hard to do over email!). She wanted to meet first before we signed any contract and my now-husband and I went to her house and we were welcomed so warmly. She was the first vendor I set up myself and she really set the bar high; I knew right away I wanted to have a similar rapport with anyone else I hired for my event.

The day of the wedding she was a huge source of support and fun. Nothing ever felt awkward or forced, it was just people having a good time! The photos themselves were stunning, creative, funny, and they really capture everything I remember about the day.

Instead of an engagement shoot, which was included in our package, my husband and I asked if we could do a post-wedding shoot in our wedding clothes in Philly, since we lived there but had the wedding elsewhere. She happily obliged and two weeks after the wedding we had a fantastic time taking photos around the city! It also took pressure off us on our actual wedding day; we didn't have to disappear for hours to take photos and could spend more time with our guests.

Overall, our experience with Amanda was incredible- I feel like I came out of the deal with a new friend. She dealt with all of our requests for awkward and serious photos and we just laughed and had the best time. She is beyond professional and will always go the extra mile! Seriously though, she walked at least an extra mile with us on our Philly shoot. Thank you Amanda!!!

Amanda is everything she markets herself to be and much more! We initially were interested in her after seeing some of her work online - her photography style fit well with what we envisioned for our own wedding. When we saw that the prices she offered were reasonable, we became even more interested.

After meeting her for the first time, the deal was sealed. Her talent is conveyed through her work; her passion and love of photography is evident in her personality when you get to meet her - you can tell she enjoys her work very much. We wound up having both our engagement and wedding photos shot by her.

When she delivered the wedding pictures to us, we couldn't have been happier with the way they turned out. These pictures will be looked at with great pride and joy for years to come :)

At the end of the day, Amanda's goal is to make couples happy and create smiles, which she certainly did with us!

My fiancé and I were just starting to plan our wedding when we contacted Amanda about photography. We met with several other photographers before meeting Amanda but none of them "clicked" until her. Amanda worked around our busy schedules and came to meet us in NJ at a local restaurant. We immediately felt comfortable and loved her bubbly personality! When we left the restaurant there was no discussion needed ... my fiancé said "We need to hire her" as soon as we got to our car. We loved the photos she showed us and knew immediately that she would do a great job!

A few months later Amanda shot our engagement session. She was so flexible with location and drove out to Parvin State Park in South Jersey (which is in the middle of no where). My fiancé and I were definitely nervous because neither of us had professional photos taken before. Amanda did a great job of making us feel comfortable. She also was great with our dog! We wanted to get him in a few shots with us. She was patient with him and we got all the shots we wanted (and more!!) We got our pictures back so quickly and had so many options! We couldn't be happier with the quality and variety of the photos.

Amanda will be shooting our wedding this November and I know we will absolutely LOVE our wedding pictures. We can't wait!

I used Amanda Iris Photography for my engagement photo session and am using her for my wedding! I have had the BEST experience working with Amanda. She is WONDERFUL! On the day of my engagement shoot she set such a relaxed environment and made it fun for my fiancé and I. She was really great at making the whole experience feel so personal. We received our pictures back pretty quickly and they were beautiful! Even better than we imagined! The photos reflected our relationship perfectly and there were such a variety of shots taken. I am not usually someone who writes reviews, however for Amanda Iris photography I will make an exception. My husband and I were intimidated by all of the details of wedding planning and were becoming stressed out. The only thing I truly wanted other than to marry my best friend was to have pictures taken to capture a day in our lives which we would never get to experience again. We were truly blessed to find Amanda to be our photographer. Amanda is an extremely talented and personable photographer who took us out to eat get to know us and go over details about possible locations and what we wanted. She and her husband went out of there way long before the wedding to scout our desired location and was ready with amazing and beautiful ideas for the church and picture locations on the day of our wedding. Amanda and her team were a calming presence who were always there to lend a hand and capture a moment. When our pictures came back Matt and I were blown away that she was able to give us the gift of reliving our wedding day every time we look at the pictures. Amanda Iris was by far the best choice I made (other than Matt the hubby) for my wedding day.

When I got engaged one of the first things that I wanted to book was the photographer. I had been following Amanda Iris Photography for a few years, and she was my first choice since her pictures were so beautiful. When I inquired about availability, she was so enthusiastic and helpful that I didn't even contact anyone else. She helped me pick a package that worked for us. She even gave me advice and recommendations for other wedding vendors based on her experiences.

For the engagement shot, she was flexible and accepted my preferred date, even though October is one of the busiest months for her. We met at my Alma mater, which was hers too (Go SJU!). She did all the photos that I found on Pinterest or thought up, but then had TONS of other picture ideas that she thought up. She knew what worked for us and what didn't work for us. It was such a pleasurable experience for us. I felt comfortable the entire time and she was genuinely interested in us as a couple.

We were the 5th engagement photo shoot that she had that week, so I didn't expect them back right away. I was wowed when I got them back within two weeks! It just showed her dedication to her work. The pictures were beautiful!! my family raved about them and wanted copies for themselves. We received over 100 pictures from the 2 hour shoot. You are able to download them (so you can use them on shutterfly and those places) or you can print them right from the gallery. The gallery was reasonably priced (8x10=$4) too.

Our wedding is in a few months, but I am so excited to have Amanda there. I know that she will make everyone so comfortable and I know she will come up with some amazing photos!! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

My fiancé and I cannot thank Amanda enough!

From her first prompt email response to my inquiry, all the way to the delivery of photos, Amanda has been a joy to work with. She communicated with us very clearly on what our package included (engagement photo shoot, 3 hours, 2 outfits, a digital library of the photos, could have had more than one location but we were having to much fun to move to another!), and went above and beyond in helping us decide on a location and outfits. She was very punctual, and confident in placing us in poses, and letting us be our natural selves. She made the entire shoot fun!

We absolutely love every photo that she took! Which makes the package we got - allowing us to have access to all of the photos digitally - priceless. They are stored within her site, and are connected to a local print shop that she trusts, making it easy for us to order any prints that we want.

We would highly recommend Amanda and her services to anyone looking for a great photographer!

Amanda did a fantastic job with my fiancé and my engagement photos! We were so impressed with her creativity and eye for catching the perfect shot. The pictures were stunning! Amanda is so professional and helped us get comfortable with the camera right off the bat. Our shots didn't come out over posed or over thought at all. It isn't easy being in front of the camera for several hours but after the first half hour it became very natural thanks to Amanda. She made us relaxed and took the pressure off us for the whole afternoon. I can't say enough how great she is and how beautiful our pictures turned out. I'm so glad she did our engagement shoot and can't wait to see what she will have up her sleeve on our wedding day! Thank you so much Amanda!

Amanda was absolutely incredible to work with! My husband and I loved how comfortable she made us feel every time we worked with her. She did our engagement and wedding photos, and will definitely be doing our pregnancy and baby photos! We have received so many compliments on her work. She captured everything I wanted, and helped to make our day special and memorable. She gave us her all in the freezing cold, and had fun with any idea my husband and I wanted. We never felt rushed. She is truly genuine about her career, and that shines through when working with her! I will never use any other photographer after working with Amanda. I highly recommend her for any occasion.

Amanda Carlock an amazing photographer! For my wedding, I was fortunate enough to have two photo shoots: one on my wedding day, and another soon after. The second one was done by Amanda and I must say, I receive more compliments on those photos then the ones taken by another photographer on my actual wedding day. We were just so impressed at her talent and amazing point of view. Amanda provides a unique and refreshing angle of photography that words cannot fully give justice. We also had our photos in a timely manner and all of them were beautiful. Amanda captured the essence of our relationship in beautiful photographs and I am forever grateful for her gift of this amazing memory.I will surely have her photograph any other future events in our lives.

Amanda was absolutely amazing! Incredibly talented and also fun and easy to work with. My husband and I were impressed with the way she took the time to get to know us before working with us. She was a great listener and was open to any ideas we had regarding our big day. Also, she is great at coaching and teaching us how to pose for the camera. From a business perspective, I very much appreciated her attention to emails and texts - she never left us hanging and was 100% responsive the whole time. We loved working with her and are so in love with the pictures she produced for us :)

Amanda is exceedingly talented at capturing romantic photos of couples, but if you or your partner wears glasses or if you’re interested in including others (such as a bridal party) in your wedding day, she is not the photographer for you. In our first meeting (15 months before the wedding), she told us that she limits the number of weddings she does per month so that she can be refreshed for each client. Then, she showed up at 1PM on our wedding day tired from the wedding she worked the night before. I had originally told her that I wanted to wear my glasses so that I’d look like myself on my wedding day and that our bridal party was huge (9 on each side). Our family portraits include reflections on the faces of the people who wear glasses. When we asked her to fix this flaw in the photos, she told us she could get us a quote. When we received the final photos, I was understandably upset that the majority of the bridesmaid photos only include 6-8 of my 9 bridesmaids. When I asked Amanda for the wider shots as it would be hard to use photos with people missing, she replied that it was her artistic decision to shoot and provide "close-ups" of some girls because it was more intimate than shots with everyone. Artistic decision does not cover who to include in the photos, she literally decided that my sister-in-law didn't fit her artistic vision and left her out of most of the group shots. So offensive! I could list ten other examples of ways Amanda disappointed us, including taking zero pictures during our cocktail hour, not complying with our request for a prep meeting in the months leading up to the wedding, and missing the groom’s reaction during our first look; but I’ll leave it at this: It’s very embarrassing to have multiple people ask you after your wedding (including your own mother) where you found your photographer and why she was so rude on your wedding day.
