We hired Alyssa to shoot our reception in September. Alyssa was so incredible to work with- She was extremely responsive throughout our planning process and made sure to note exactly what kind of photos we wanted and what our overall vision was. Upon receiving the gallery, we were truly blown away and our expectations exceeded. She did an amazing job at capturing truly in-the-moment photos of us and our guests. Our friends and family have been raving about them, saying they belong in a magazine and we couldn't agree more. We also added film, which added a great touch to our gallery! -

When I first came across Alyssa’s wedding photos on Instagram, I could tell she would be a great fit for my husband and I, and our eclectic, laid-back personalities and wedding vibes. As soon as I spoke to her on the phone, I could tell she was a real pro. She was super flexible and was so easy to book with. I didn’t hire a planner so I was very relieved by Alyssa’s organization when it came to mapping out a photo timeline and plan for our wedding day. She truly helped the entire event go smoothly. On the day of the wedding, she arrived and fit seamlessly into our wedding parties, making everyone look and feel incredibly natural. It honestly just felt like a friend was there taking photos of us! She was so quick at capturing every shot and has an amazing eye for the magical moments. She was especially great at giving direction to my husband and me and made us look very relaxed and natural. When we received our sneak peeks, my husband and I were over the moon. First of all, it was such a quick turnaround — she delivered sneaks just 3 days after the wedding and we had all of our wedding photos just a week after the event. The photos are literally breathtaking. We’ve gotten so many compliments on them and I’m so thrilled with the way she’s memorialized our special day. The photos seriously feel like they belong in an editorial spread. Do not hesitate! Book her now!! She will make your wedding day look just as magical as it feels. -

If your even thinking about Alyssa as your photographer stop and just go for it! She is hands down the best…not only did she capture our beautiful intimate moments but she captured the happiness of the whole day. Your so busy in your wedding day you don’t get to enjoy everyone else’s joy for you and we were really able to experience that looking back at the photos she took. She’s fun and quirky and makes you feel comfortable. I recommend 10/10 are photos were absolutely perfect! -

Where do I even begin... Alyssa is absolutely incredible at what she does. If you are looking for someone who is skilled in their profession, kind and warm, insanely talented, and goes above and beyond your expectation, then you need to hire Alyssa!
From the beginning and to the day of our wedding, Alyssa was always on top of things, answered every question, stayed organized, and always followed-up with us throughout the months about our upcoming wedding. Alyssa took the time to really get to know us individually and as a couple. Working with her, truly felt like working with a friend and a professional.
Not only are her packages affordable, but she really takes the time and care to get the perfect shots. My husband and I do not consider ourselves the most photogenic people, however I can honestly say that every single photo came out so beautiful! Alyssa went way above and beyond our expectation making our experience feel so personal and special from the engagement photoshoot, to the lead up to our wedding, and even after our wedding with cute and personalized packages. We are so happy we found her.

To whomever is lucky enough to stumble upon Alyssa's page CONGRATULATIONS and look no further. I assure you Alyssa is the most amazing wedding photographer you will ever find. Let's start from the beginning, Alyssa takes great care to make sure her couples are happy, comfortable, and sees that their vision is executed fully. At our engagement session she played music from our favorite artists and captured beautiful pictures of us that were natural and authentic (she is really good at making you feel comfortable). She is also incredibly thorough, leading up to the wedding she sent us questionnaires and discussed the timeline at length to ensure everything was as we wanted it. And on the day of the wedding she was SPECTACULAR, Alyssa was not just the photographer, she was a problem solver, family controller, friend, and so much more. Our wedding photos are fantastic and Alyssa made the chaotic parts of our wedding easy. Alyssa is incredibly talented and kind, and she is amazing at her job! Exactly what you are looking for!
I would 100% recommend booking Alyssa!! She was super down to earth, easy to communicate with, flexible, and made my partner and I feel comfortable during the whole session. She definitely knew what she was doing - helping guide us into the right positions, when to look serious/laugh/kiss, etc. I feel in love with all of the photos she sent to us. You get a lot of photos with Alyssa and there are no hidden/additional fees to own them! She provides high quality photos and makes the entire process super fun! -

Alyssa was absolutely AMAZING in every sense of the word! From the beginning she was communicative, and helpful when it came to choosing outfits or even location for our engagement session. Highly recommend!!
Alyssa is hands down an amazing wedding photographer! I was initially drawn to her based on the vibe of her photos and the way she captures couples, but that’s just the beginning of her talent! My husband and I are not very good at photos and tend to be uncomfortable in front of the camera but she is a pro at making you forget the camera is even there and giving good prompts that make for natural looking photos. She provides a comfortable atmosphere during shoots that makes for those amazing photos! Alyssa is very professional. She replies to email, texts, questions in a timely manner and was always on time. She also sat down with us and helped us make our wedding day timeline which was super helpful! I can’t imagine having anyone else capture our wedding day! -

Amazing!
For anyone looking for an amazingly talented photographer to capture beautiful memories and milestones, look no further because Alyssa is and does exactly that. Alyssa is a joy to work with and has such a bubbly and kind personality.
During the trials of having to last minute plan, postpone, and then replan our wedding all over again, Alyssa was the one constant during all of it. She was very helpful and kind even before we hired her! She helped us with everything! Alyssa knows all of the beautiful locations not only for photos but also venues. She does research on locations before a shoot and helped us with our timeline. Alyssa always responds quickly and professionally. We had to reschedule our wedding so we worked with her schedule to make sure we could have her as our wedding photographer. On our wedding day she arrived at the perfect time and went straight to work. She knew what to do and helped us stay on schedule. She found great spots at our venue to take photos and we love every single one of them. During the ceremony she took amazing photos from multiple angles (she was our only photographer). As the bride, I didn’t hear or see her during the ceremony. Afterwords she did an amazing job catering to our wishes on who we take photos with and got all of the shots we wanted. Overall, we had an amazing night and we are so grateful that Alyssa was able to capture our milestone. We had a bridals session the next day in Yosemite so we drove up together in one car and she is so hilarious and delightful to have around. Alyssa helped me put on my dress and she knew all of the locations we needed to be at during certain times to get beautiful photos. My husband and I can be camera shy but Alyssa made us feel beautiful/handsome and confident in front of her lens.
After seeing our sneak peaks only a day after our session all that I could say all day every day is “I can not wait to see the rest”. Alyssa is truly talented and she knows what she is doing!! Her photography and editing skills are amazing! Thank you Alyssa for accommodating us and taking care of us as if we were your only clients! We love our photos and we will cherish them forever!

Alyssa did such a beautiful job with our engagement pictures and capturing our wedding day!!! I felt at ease the whole day knowing that all of our hard work on every little detail would be recorded! One of the best decisions when it came to choosing a wedding vendor was Alyssa Ruby Photography. Alyssa is such a gifted and talented artist and a master of her craft. She was very flexible as we changed wedding dates numerous times, but each time we changed, I was insistent that we get married on a day that she was available. Thankfully, she was available on the final date we chose and an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. I was so impressed by how she markets herself and how efficiently she runs her business. Our engagement session with Alyssa was a blast. I’m so glad we chose a local photographer who knew the area and varied the shots we took so they weren’t all the same. We felt so comfortable and confident with her and trusted her process. She has such a bubbly personality and even made my very camera shy fiancé get into the experience. The engagement photos came out so beautifully and we even had sneak peaks the following day. Additionally, when it came to planning the timeline for our wedding, Alyssa was a huge help. She helped me plan the timeline from beginning to end and gave me a lot of good suggestions to make the day run smoother. At the time this review was written I received over 100 sneak peaks just two days later and have had so many friends and family members call to say how beautiful the pictures turned out. They are absolutely gorgeous and we can only imagine what the final batch will look like. I have already started giving her contact out to family and friends because of the compliments we receive on our engagement and wedding photos. She was an absolute delight to work with. -

Best wedding photographer EVER!!
We can not say enough good things about Alyssa Ruby Photography. From the very start, she was personable, fun, excited about our wedding, and very organized. Everything is very streamlined- from the deposits, to the communications, to receiving the final gallery- she has it all available in an online platform and is also very willing to call and go over details/questions. But truly, her professionalism was just the cherry on top of the BEAUTIFUL photos we ended up with and her willingness to go the extra mile to make our dreams come true. My husband and I were married mid-COVID shutdown in July 2020- so Alyssa went through all of the changes and back-up to the back-up plans to make sure we could safely hold our wedding while still capturing the moments that meant the most to us. Because so few people could actually attend our wedding, being able to have such an amazing record of our day in photos was so important. And, boy, did she deliver!! They are gorgeous, creative, and fit so well with the feel of our intimate wedding. We HIGHLY recommend choosing Alyssa as your photographer- she’s got an eye for the picture and she’s truly just a kind and fun person to have at your event! -

Alyssa is great! She is amazing at what she does, my engagement photos were exactly what I envisioned. During our session she was professional, and down to earth, my fiancé was a bit nervous (doesn’t like to take photos) and once we got there and Alyssa made simple conversation, he relaxed and enjoyed the whole session!
