We chose to have both our photography and videography handled by Alvis and his team, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.

Amazing photographer & team!
Alvis is amazing and I can't thank him and his team enough for the photos! They turned out beautiful and beyond our expectations. I loved how he had a vision and was assertive with his directions while making sure we were comfortable. We were impressed at how he was able to work with such a large wedding party and manage the chaotic reception professionally. Alvis shot for our wedding this year at Aliso Viejo and we could not have asked for a better photographer/videographer. From the moment we met up not a single second was wasted and Alvis coordinated his team, and the wedding party, with great leadership - telling us where to stand, how to pose, giving recommendations for photo spots, etc. We were super happy with the final result. All the photos came out great (1000+), videos were the highest quality (20 GB+), and the highlight reel he made is one we will cherish forever!

We love our posed shots but we especially loved and appreciated his eye for taking those candid photos of special moments. He and his team had very creative ideas for where to take photos within the venue and captured the beauty of our venue along with our joy, excitement, and love in his photos. We are incredibly grateful to have had Alvis Pham and team as our Wedding Photography and Videography crew. From the moment our day started they were on top of everything and made us feel at ease. They adapted to every situation flawlessly, they gave us step by step guidance during the first look, they scouted out the perfect wedding party group shots, they were hyper efficient taking photos with ALL of our guests, we could go on and on. They were invisible when they needed to be, but somehow capturing every moment. Every single team member was genuinely kind, and made us feel so special that we felt like old friends by the end of the day, and sad that our time with them was already over. (Luckily we got some photos with the crew as a memento :) ) We would recommend them a thousand times over, and can't tell you how many comments we got from friends and family who were blown away by their high caliber, who regretted not investing more for a great photographer for their own events after seeing Alvis and co handle everything. Alvis is kind of a legend within my friends circle. Within the last two years, 4 of us have booked him as our wedding photographer. His portfolio is phenomenal, and he's friendly, flexible and easy to work with.
Alvis showed up to the wedding day early, helped us brainstorm cute poses, and took some amazing photos for us, our wedding party, and families - and even got a lot of the small details from our wedding. We also finally nailed the "dip" photo pose with his help! We had an outdoor garden wedding, and he also navigated the light rain that we had and thought quickly on his feet to scout the location with best lighting for us. I recently had the pleasure of working with Alvis for our engagement photos, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. As a gay couple, finding a photographer who understands and can capture the essence of our relationship was crucial to us. Alvis not only met but exceeded our expectations in every aspect.
Right from the beginning, Alvis demonstrated a genuine interest in understanding our vision. He welcomed the idea of us sharing a Pinterest board to convey the specific look and feel we wanted for our photographs. This was particularly important to me, as I had concerns about a photographer not being able to pose an LGBT couple appropriately. I wanted to avoid the cliché and traditional poses that often cater to heterosexual couples, and Alvis was not only responsive to this but also skilled in translating our vision into reality.
I was initially worried about the poses and whether they would feel forced or awkward, but Alvis effortlessly created an environment where we felt comfortable and authentic. He managed to strike a perfect balance between capturing the love and connection between us without resorting to conventional poses that might not suit our relationship.
One of my main concerns was how I would appear in the photos. Alvis not only made us look great but also brought out the best in each of us individually. His keen eye for detail and understanding of lighting and composition truly showcased his expertise in the art of photography.

Alvis has been such a great photographer to work with from the start. We began our journey with him in 2022 for our engagement shoot. We live in Seattle, but wanted to have our shoot in Oregon near the Columbia River Gorge--Alvis was down to fly to Seattle and go on a 6-hour round-trip road trip with us to Oregon! The pictures came out great and he was able to catch the moments so beautifully despite the high winds that day.
We also had Alvis as our photographer for our wedding and the photos came out just as beautiful as well. Seriously, he is so flexible, professional, and great at communicating with us. We never felt uncomfortable and despite being a very introverted and awkward couple, he was able to capture us perfectly. -

Amazing Photographer!
We chose Alvis (and his staff) to do our engagement and wedding photos, and videography. They really captured every important aspect of our wedding, from our happy faces during the ceremony and the joyful vibe, to the fun dancing/activities and silly moments. Alvis came back with over a thousand photos, each one beautiful and unique in its own way. Among them, I found so many gems - candid photos of us interacting with guests, guests being silly, etc. He also took some very unique, artistic photos using light/the sunset to create cool effects! -

Where do I begin?
We met Alvis two years ago, because of the pandemic our wedding was postponed. We picked up planning again in 2021, we had a zoom call with Alvis and it was like no time had passed since our last meeting. His personality and ability to connect with his clients is beyond amazing and I can truly say we’ve gained a new friend.
The day of our engagement shoot we really had no idea what to expect but he made the experience enjoyable and fun. We felt more than comfortable with Alvis’s direction. After that we looked forward to working with him on our wedding day even more!

We hired Alvis as our wedding photographer and he delivered! Overall, Alvis and his team are very professional, punctual, flexible and energetic. His team even volunteered to take tons of pictures for our guests using their cameras on top of the professional photography. That was very courteous and I know our guests really appreciated it. What makes Alvis really stand out are the additional perks that you get with him which may not be specified in his profile. He works with at least 3 different cameras at once, which allows for various lens and results for that particular scene to make sure he captures the perfect shot. And that's just him working his magic individually, his team is also filming and taking pictures as well so nothing is ever missed. Another surprise is that Alvis knows how to direct and pose couples. This is really helpful especially for couples who aren't used to all the wedding or engagement poses. Trust me, wedding poses matter just as much as good lighting.
Now for the actual photography results, the pictures came out great! Alvis captured a lot of key moments and angles on our special day. He did an amazing job editing the photos and delivering the final product in a very clean, elegant, and professional manner. We have so many spectacular photos to cherish and print, it'll probably take us years to get bored of looking through them. All of our friends and relatives complimented on how beautiful the pictures came out, granted the venue was also a great scenery, but what's good scenery if it can't be captured properly right? In summary, I would hire Alvis again for future events and would recommend him and his team without hesitation. -

My husband and I chose Alvis Pham Photography to do our engagement photos, as well as our wedding photo and video. He is the preferred photographer for our venue, Occasions at Laguna Village, and we were very happy with the photos and videos from the event.
Engagement photoshoot: We did our engagement photoshoot with Alvis and the photos turned out beautiful. Alvis was great at making us feel comfortable and getting all the locations and poses we wanted. We got the photos within two weeks of the photoshoot and were able to use them for our Save the Date cards. They were a big hit!
Wedding: We hired Alvis for photo and video for our wedding day. We highly recommend getting photo for at least 8 hours and video for 6 hours, as it allowed us to get plenty of photo and video coverage for the whole day. We got the wedding photos about a month after the wedding and the video a few weeks after that. All of the photos turned out beautiful and will be treasured for years to come. The video was truly special. As part of the package, we received a 4-minute highlight video and a one hour video of the ceremony and reception speeches. My husband and I watched the videos over and over again and we couldn’t be happier with the end product. They even brought a drone to capture overhead footage!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Alvis and his team and would recommend him for your future wedding or event. -

Where do I even start??? Alvis and his team are out of this world talented. They gave my wife and me everything and more on our wedding day. They were prompt, friendly, needed no direction at all, they were totally proactive and efficient, and super creative with their content. I would consider myself a very tough critic having also worked as a photographer in my past, but I couldn't have been more pleased with their product. I searched high and low for a photography/ videography team, I interviewed tons of people, but Alvis was different. He's super humble and down-to-Earth, and it made my wife and I feel really comfortable. As an LGBTQ- lesbian couple, this was the most important thing for us. A lot of photographers will say that they feel comfortable shooting your wedding, but you don't always know for sure. Alvis completely embraced us, in fact, he made one of our photos the cover of his website a few days later. *totally made me cry* This is a guy that loves everyone, and you can feel it. He is going to go far in this world because he's the real deal. Thank you Alvis from the bottom of our hearts. -

Quick response time, professional, and talented
Alvis is so very talented at what he does! He is patient and so down to earth. It was our first time ever doing a professional photo shoot, and Alvis made us feel comfortable to work with him. He even had plenty of poses for us since we didn't know how to pose. Alvis definitely has an eye of a photographer. He chose a perfect spot to shoot at the sand dunes (all our first times there) with the perfect lighting and setting for the sun. I am obsessed with our photos! Photos are more beautiful than I could imagine!
We are so thrilled that we chose Alvis Pham Photography! He responds to emails promptly, and it was very seamless getting him scheduled for our wedding day. The day of, he showed up early, and took every possible picture we could want and then some! He did a great job of getting us to do different poses, and moving us around the venue so we had many beautiful backdrops. He also did a great job of adjusting the train on my dress for pictures! He is also a really nice guy. We absolutely love our pictures and keep hearing from friends and family about how beautiful our pictures are. DO NOT HESITATE! Book Alvis Pham Photography now! Alvis may be on the younger side, however he shows much professionalism. We booked Alvis for our wedding more than a year in advanced. I found Alvis through a Craigslist ad. He was extremely affordable, but the quality of his work was so much better than his competitors. He kept in touch with me all the way up to the wedding, and on the day, he showed up early and scouted the venue to make sure he could get the best photos possible.
Alvis was very friendly, and was also very sneaky - he captured 1,300 beautiful photos of my wedding, but never got in anybody's way, and never made his presence conspicuous. He sent us the final product about 4 weeks after the wedding, and they are absolutely STUNNING. I could not possibly be happier with the quality of his work and his personality. I give him the strongest possible recommendation to anyone else getting married. -

Alvis and his team did a phenomenal job and were very accommodating to my wedding event since my reception took place on a different date. He gave us a great package at a reasonable cost since our guest list was less than 25 people and with events on different dates/locations. For my ceremony, we only had our parents and the officiant in attendance and for our reception, we had about 20-25 guests. His team was able to meet any request we had and were very profession making my husband, fiance then at the time, feel very comfortable. Not only did we have a phone call with Alvis first, but we were also able to meet Alvis in person to continue asking him any questions we had. Great experience and would absolutely recommend Alvis Pham Photography. -

Nathan Sent on 08/14/2018My wife and I live in San Diego (where we met), but decided to get married in Michigan last year because that's where all our family is from. My wife wanted to do a San Diego photo shoot in her dress because that's where all our memories are shared. Schedules got busy and it took us about 9 months to get it done.
My wife found Alvis on Facebook, and he drove down from Los Angeles to do the shoot. He arrived just before sunset and we got almost 200 photos in a very short amount of time. We were impressed with Alvis' knowledge of angles, position poses, and recommendations. He got us the finished product back to us in about 2-weeks which was a phenomenal turn around time verse our actual wedding photographer. We highly recommend Alvis for his services. -

I have been following Alvis' work for years when I first saw his posts of college graduation portraits on Instagram. When I saw his mastery in bridal, couple, and wedding photography, I couldn't think of anyone else better to call. The photos Alvis captured were nothing short of incandescent majesty and charm.
