As the groom’s brother, I was around for the entire day — getting ready, ceremony, family photos, and the reception — and I was seriously impressed with how the photographer handled everything. Family schedules were tight, people were moving around, and plans shifted a couple times, but he stayed calm and worked with everyone’s timing without rushing or missing anything.
He made the family photos quick and efficient, which I really appreciated, especially with older relatives and kids involved. Later, when we saw the final photos, it was clear he caught way more than just the obvious moments. He captured reactions, laughs, and moments between family members that honestly meant a lot to us. We had our wedding at Canton Country Club, and the photography experience was honestly incredible. Our timeline shifted a few times during the day due to weather and family delays, and he handled it without any stress at all. He adjusted on the fly, reorganized shots, and still made sure we got every photo we asked for.
He took full advantage of the course views, greenery, and natural light around the venue. The photos feel authentic and emotional, not stiff or overly posed. Some of our favorite shots were moments we didn’t even know he was capturing. When we got our gallery back, it told the full story of the day exactly as it happened. The team of Alton Martin Photography is such a fun and professional group to work with. My original photographer got sick and had to cancel on me then I found Alton on the Knot at the last minute and he was a blessing at our wedding. He was easy to talk with over the phone and he made suggestions that I did not think of. I told him we were not into staged possess and he understood my request and managed to get some of the most breathtaking candid moments of my wedding day. It was a pleasure working with Alton and his group and I was happier when I saw that his packages cost a lot less than the other guy that my wife had booked.

Money Happily Spent
We had a small wedding idea in mind and we began searching online for the a deal with the best and cheapest photographer we could find. We had a budget of $500 to split between our Officiant and photographer for 4 hours. After searching around for a few weeks we figured that the budget was not going to work as most photographers with good rating was well over $500 an hour and the ones who were willing to do everything for our tiny budget had horrible pictures on their website and mostly shitty reviews. We ran into Alton as he was shooting our friend wedding, we admired how he fixed her dress. I hesitantly approach him because I know this must have cost my friends a big bank. He gave me a business card as he was too busy to talk, he told me to look around on the website and read a few reviews before making any decision and I did just that. He was not crazily expensive but immediately I noticed that quality and cheap does not belong in the same sentence. To make this short Alton shot our wedding at $200 an hour and he had his wife Shevel who is a NYC Officiant to marry us free, that was his gift to us. We ended up spending twice our budget but it was money well worth spending. These guys are a great couple, they are a great team and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone who needs a professional team to hire for their wedding day.

I could never have imagined how important the photographs could be but when you see how beauty they are, and it is your friends and family in them, it makes me cry every time I look at them. So pleased we chose Alton and his wife to take our pictured. It’s difficult doing this from Scotland but we made the right decision. Very responsive to messages prior to the big day and on the day itself. Alton Martin Wedding Photography deserves 10 stars! Being a bride that lives in S.C. and getting married in Newark, N.J. was stressful. Alton took away the stress by being reliable, responsive and resourceful. He arrived very early for my 8AM wedding, capturing unique shots of both myself and my husband prior to the wedding. He was friendly and professional.....and funny too. The photo booth was a great idea and easy to use. Alton Martin Wedding Photography was a blessing to me and I am so grateful that I found him. You won’t be disappointed by choosing him!

Mr. Martin my husband and I are very grateful for the services provided on our special day! We were 1 hour late but Mr. Martin waited patiently and was very friendly and funny, he said "I'll excuse you be because you're beautiful" haha. It was raining so we was not able to get a session in the garden but he made sure that we still got full service and the pictures came out beautifully. He knows his way around so by the time we got there he had us covered, in and out. I would recommend him to anyone, not sure if he provides other services but I would definitely work with him in the future! THANK YOU! :)

We met him outside the courthouse and Alton couldn't have been more perfect. He was beyond prepared and helped us with everything. His attention to detail is what made this perfect. He was constantly taking photos which meant he captured the absolute best moments. He was great company as we waited to get married!

We eloped to New York from England and bumped into Alton outside. We needed a witness and a photographer. We didn't have a big budget and he offered to photograph us for a great price. His photos were lovely. Better than I could have hoped for. He captured the wedding brilliantly. The photos were amazing. I highly recommend him. We couldn't be happier. We have printed them out and the quality is stunning. Everyone we have shown them to have been impressed. We are so greatful to him for capturing the best day of our lives so perfectly.

Alton was referred to me by a friend and as we all know when friends refer people I am always skeptical of what kind of service I will get. The moment I met Alton I was very impressed with the way he presented himself. He was dressed very professional and clean cut. He was our photographer for the evening but he blended in with the crowed and did his thing. He was very accommodating with what he was asked to do and gave us iprofessional advice when need.
