From start to finish Todd and the Alta Peruvian were amazing

Todd at the Peruvian Lodge will let you craft the precise event you want. He put virtually no restrictions on what we could do, and were so helpful and supportive throughout the process. Our ceremony was outside on the lawn, with dinner in the dining room, and then dancing in the other room downstairs. They gave us two suites to use, too. Our out-of-town guests (99% flew in from out of state) were flabbergasted by the views and their experience up in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Guests can't stay at the Peruvian for your summer wedding, so there's even more flexibility for their experience. I can't wait to get our photos back and relive the day.

We feel that we had the best experience possible. The staff at the Alta Peruvian Lodge were helpful before, during, and after our wedding. Having several days ahead, to bring in items for our wedding, took so much pressure off of us, so that everything could be arranged as we hoped. We used the Alta Peruvian Lodge bartender and he was perfect. The Alta Peruvian Lodge is a spectacular location where you can create the wedding that YOU want. Thanks for a great day!

The Alta Peruvian Lodge is the most amazing place to have a wedding! The setting is beautiful, the staff is amazing to work with and you can bring your own caterer and bartender. If you are looking to have an open bar, this is a great choice! (Venues that let you buy the booze and bring your own bartenders are much cheaper). Also, they let you decorate the day before and clean up the day after. I cannot even begin to describe how helpful this is. It allows for a perfectly stress free wedding day!!

I could not have asked for a better wedding! Todd is absolutely wonderful to work with, I would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding in Utah.

We loved having our wedding at the Alta Peruvian. We had a lot of, shall we say, "nontraditional" requests, and Todd, the manager, was really relaxed and flexible. I was so tired of listening to people quote all the little "extras" like cake cutting fees, and Todd is straight up and does whatever he can to work with your schedule and requests. He let us come in and decorate the lodge a few days before the wedding, which was SO helpful and decreased our stress level considerably. The lodge is beautiful and fit our styles perfectly. The Alta Peruvian Lodge was the best place for us to have our wedding reception. We had our wedding in Salt Lake City and then went up there for dinner and dancing. In the dining room we were able to have a hand served dinner to about 165 people and that was about the max amount of people the dining room could hold. The dancing area was decorated with string lights and a dance floor provided by the Peruvian and still had room for a 6 person live band. Of all of the venues I looks at for receptions in the mountains, the Alta Peruvian was the only place that allowed you to bring in your own caterer and alcohol. They were so accommodating to our requests and very helpful throughout the entire process. I would love to host a party there again and if this beautiful rustic lodge is where you see yourself getting married I highly recommend it.

The Peruvian was our first choice because of it’s beautiful location and we were very pleased with how responsive and accommodating the staff was to us. Even though weddings are traditionally done indoors, the venue manager, Todd, was incredibly supportive when we decided to pull everything outside and essentially told us, “Whatever you want, we can help make that happen.” And all the guys there were so easygoing and made all venue coordination super straightforward and simple, there really was zero stress when working with the Peruvian staff.

The Peruvian is also a great spot for couples who prize vendor flexibility and the freedom to do what you want with the venue. Your deposit essentially gets you full access to the lodge for an entire week - there is no curfew on when you have to leave and you could come and go as we please for set up/tear down. This also means the space doesn’t come with any other in-house vendors. This was great for us, since we wanted the freedom to choose our preferred caterer, photographer, florist, etc. It really gave us the chance to make our wedding personalized to our tastes, and everyone loved the up-close view of the mountains. We felt so lucky to have had our wedding at the Peruvian, we couldn’t recommend it enough!

We loved having our wedding at the Peruvian! Little Cottonwood Canyon cannot be beat for scenery, and the Peruvian Lodge epitomizes an outdoor, mountain life.

Steve and Todd were both a pleasure to work with. They set up all the table and chairs for our ceremony and reception, and took them down again. They gave us access to the building midweek before the wedding until early week after the wedding so that we had plenty of time to set up and clean up. They also let us come up several time before the event to show our families around.

We liked that we could select our own caterer, bartender, etc. They were very flexible about us selecting our own vendors, and bringing our own alcohol for the reception. We ended up staying later than we intended, and they were very flexible about that.

If you are looking for a rustic, mountain venue with an outdoor ceremony site, this is the place for you! They are very laid back and easy to work with, but still professional. We felt like it was the perfect place for us. The venue and the staff matched our laid back, fun-loving style.
