We are beyond grateful to have had Rev. Brian Jude Piatkowski marry us. From the very first interaction, he was incredibly kind, empathetic, and genuinely caring. He took the time to truly understand us as a couple and made our ceremony feel deeply personal and meaningful.

Great Ceremony, Great Experience

Rev. Brian was our officiant for our June 2022 wedding. We had a non-religious ceremony and appreciated Rev Brian's energy and passion on the day of the wedding. Working with Rev. Rev. Brian helped create our perfect wedding ceremony!

Rev. Brian officiated our wedding on October 2, 2021 and was such a pleasure to work with! From the very first call, we knew we were in good hands! Rev. Brian worked with us closely on our ceremony and helped us to incorporate all the important details (readings, acknowledgements of our loved ones passed, and the inclusion of a wine box ceremony). When we decided that we wanted to write our own vows, Rev. Brian gave us guidance and examples, which was super helpful as we didn't really know where to start with that! Leading up to the wedding day, Rev. Brian also checked in with us and gave us a checklist to make sure that we remembered to bring everything (super helpful!!). On the day of the wedding, he showed up early and we did a quick walk through of the ceremony, which helped make things go really smoothly later on! We had a couple little unexpected moments during the ceremony, but he was unflappable and even made a joke when our best man couldn't figure out which ring to give which person LOL! Rev. Brian is truly such a lovely, genuine person and we're so glad that he was a part of our day! We would highly recommend him!

Absolutely wonderful!

Rev Brian was wonderful. We needed guidance, and he basically held our hands and walked us through it all, and it all turned out beautifully. He officiated our wedding in August 2021, and were blown away with his beautiful ceremony. We got so many compliments from all our guests about how much they loved the ceremony. He was so great about communicating with us, and making the ceremony special and unique to us as a couple. He was so helpful, professional, and added that magic touch to our special day.

Wonderful to work with

We got married on October 17, 2020 and Rev Brian did an amazing job helping us write our ceremony, officiating our wedding, and facilitating the paperwork. It is important to note that he did everything in a month's notice as we planned our wedding rather quickly after pandemic-related roadblocks and uncertainties.

Via his questionnaire, Zoom meetings, and e-mail, Rev Brian wrote and took edits on our ceremony, which was so personal and meaningful, incorporated traditions and readings representative of our backgrounds, and included our personal story. During the process, Rev. Brian also offered us advice and answered questions like, what microphone would work best to catch audio on a video and what light bulbs work best for the glass breaking. We are incredibly happy and grateful for his guidance, dedication, and expertise.

Rev. Brian made us feel very comfortable and looked after when we were crafting the ceremony and on the day of the wedding. He was very engaging as our officiant and received so many compliments from our families. We recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant and a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony.

Rev Brian saved the day!

We found Rev Brian after the officiant we initially hired bailed on us. We are SO thankful he did because I can’t imagine anyone else performing just the ideal ceremony for us. We really wanted everything to be personal and unique and Rev Brian worked with us to achieve that. He was open to all of our ideas and was always available to guide us. I was even a little nervous about my groom getting his vows written on time and Rev Brian helped to ease my nerves and made sure everything was perfect. We cannot recommend him more! It was such a pleasure working with Rev. Brian!!! My husband and I immediately knew that we wanted him to be our wedding officiant from the very first time we met him. Rev Brian was very involved from Day 1. We didn’t know the first thing about getting a marriage license or what to expect during our Wedding Ceremony, but Rev Brian was able to explain everything to us very clearly. Rev Brian even provided us with a full ceremony outline!!! My husband and I are both African American and we wanted to incorporate “Jumping the Broom” into our ceremony and Rev Brian was more than willing to work with us in order to make that happen. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful and we are so thankful for Rev. Brian.

Rev. Brian was FANTASTIC in the planning of our ceremony for our wedding. We had very specific ideas about how we wanted our ceremony to go, and he not only went along with and encouraged all of them, he also made suggestions on how to make them 10x better.

From our very first meeting with him, he was extremely warm and made us feel super comfortable while he learned about our story. We felt this was very important, because by the time he officiated our ceremony last weekend, he basically felt like a very old friend who really knew us.

I am a perfectionist, which I'm sure was annoying during the whole year leading up to our wedding, as we contacted many times and made MANY changes to the ceremony draft. He responded to every single call, text, and email IMMEDIATELY, always with endless enthusiasm and positivity.

Our Maitre D was not present during our rehearsal dinner, and so Rev. Brian had to take the lead and instruct our entire bridal party and family how to walk and what to do for the more complicated rituals in our ceremony.

None of this can even compare to how awesome he was on the morning of our wedding. We were very stressed and freaking out about many of the details that the venue got wrong. Rev Brian took it upon himself to run around the hour before the ceremony, making things as easy as possible for us and righting all the venue's wrongs (chairs in the wrong place, no table behind us for our wine box ceremony, etc.).

He answered every question with the utmost care and clarity and never seemed exasperated by our many requests and changes. We could tell through the whole process that he cared about us as people. So many of our friends came up to us after, asking how we found him and that he was great!

We cannot pay Rev. Brian enough compliments in how instrumental he was to helping create our perfect day. Our story, our vows, and everything ended up perfect and exactly how we imagined it. Thank you again, Rev. Brian!!!

This is way overdue (sorry Rev. Brian!), but here it goes! I got married on July 9. Rev. Brian made my wedding absolutely perfect. First, I am a planner and a perfectionist, and I like planning things ridiculously in advance, and Rev. Brian plans everything about your wedding about 6 months prior, which was absolutely fantastic for me. I was able to see how the ceremony would play out months in advance. We also had a request that we wanted our immediate family members introduced into the ceremony, which Rev. Brian said he had never done before, and he executed it wonderfully. I could not have come up with a better way of doing so myself. And he did it all without a rehearsal! He also answers all emails very quickly, and answers any questions that you may have, including the process of getting your marriage certificate, which he did most of the work for by delivering the license for you and making sure you have all documentation before the wedding. It's honestly hard to describe in words how amazing Rev. Brian was the day of our wedding. The second he got to our venue, he was getting bombarded with questions from my family, the bridesmaids, and the groomsmen about what they should do, and how things should look, and he answered and helped everyone with grace and professionalism. He checked up on me before the ceremony to see how I was doing, and to go over last minute procedures with me. My ceremony could not have been more perfect and personalized, and it was all thanks to Rev. Brian. I would recommend him to everyone that is getting married and looking for an officiant without any doubt or hesitation. Thank you Rev. Brian for making my wedding ceremony a dream come true!

We loved having Reverend Brian officiate our wedding! He is super responsive, even late into the evening (which is awesome since I work night shift). He is super flexible when it comes to the type of service he delivers. He will do different religions, interfaith, non-religious, same sex, etc. He will work with you and get to know you so that your ceremony is exactly what you want it to be. He threw in a few jokes for us (he is a great speaker), and also had some very touching moments to honor my husband's late father (per our request). He asks what you would like him to wear. He is super nice and doesn't pressure you into anything. I live in MD, so he was very flexible when it came to meetings. We met in person once at a mutually convenient location, and also used phone and email. We had him for the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception (which is of course two days in a row). We were a little far away from where he lives, so he actually stayed in a hotel that night to ensure that he wouldn't be late!

If we had to do it all over again, we would definitly not change anything!

My and my husband’s wedding was literally the first time I’ve ever heard someone rave about the ceremony portion of a wedding! We scheduled Brian two years in advance because of how special and personable he was. He’s nondenominational, so he’s flexible with regard to ceremony content. He has absolutely no problem adding unique aspects of the ceremony that you want or adjusting the language of the ceremony to be exactly what you want. We met with him in person before booking and he’s just so interested in telling YOUR personal story and having the ceremony be about you as a COUPLE, not giving a generic ceremony. He’s very funny and he’s also dabbled in acting so his stage presence is impeccable. He always gets back to you right away if you have questions, too. It was the easiest choice we made in our wedding planning and I would recommend him to anyone who wants their ceremony to really capture who you are as a couple, to really capture and convey your story to the people in the audience that you love the most.

The officiant we originally hired canceled on us through email two months before our wedding. What felt like the worst news to us at the time turned out to be a blessing in disguise. She recommended a few other officiants but neither of them felt right. Until we met with Rev Brian. From the start he so nice & sincere & wanted to help us. He was even willing to meet us on very short notice.
The ceremony he wrote us was beautiful!! All of my guests were commenting how beautiful our ceremony was. He always answered my emails, calls, texts, no matter how silly they were. Thank you Brian for giving us the ceremony of our dreams! You are the best!

Rev. Brian was better than we could have ever imagined! He was so helpful with everything. He was very flexible with scheduling meetings, and was always available via email. Reverend Brian is a great person. He met with us and it was more like hanging out with a friend, than an interview about the bride and I. He spoke about his faith, and his family's faith. He understands both Judaism, and Christianity very well.

The ceremony was done first as a rough draft which he timely sent us. Then we sent back any and all corrections. He double checked everything and made sure we had all the things we needed the week before. This wasn't his first time doing this, and it showed. He knew to remind us to have our witnesses picked out, as well as any and all ceremonial items we needed.

At the rehearsal, he kept it professional. He helped the 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen out on where to stand and how to walk in. The day of the wedding was a cake walk after we practiced.

On the day of the wedding, he showed up well before he needed to, and it was great knowing there was one less thing to worry about. After the ceremony commenced, guests came up to us and told us that it was the best ceremony they had ever seen. Even plus one guests were crying that didn't even know us.

I highly recommend Reverend Brian, and I would refer him to any recently engaged friends.
Thank you Reverend Brian for helping make our day extra special.

Rev. Brian delivers a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony no matter what challenges you throw at him! We had a very custom wedding in our minds, where we wanted to keep some Catholic traditions and then turn some traditions on their head. Rev. My husband and I had an interfaith ceremony and Reverend Brian acted as our Reverend. He was FANTASTIC! From day one, it was obvious that he was very into helping my husband and I plan everything relating to the ceremony! He poured his heart and soul into planning our ceremony and emailed me at all hours, both day and night, perfecting every detail for our special day. He reminded me of things that I forgot and was on top of us the entire time making sure everything went perfect! It was absolutely a pleasure working with Rev. Brian as our officiant for our wedding. He was professional, super friendly and accommodating for our needs. He was very responsive and communicative throughout the entire planning of our wedding, and even educated us on how the marriage license application process worked which we really appreciated! He made it super easy by providing us with various templates from which we could choose and customize as needed for our ceremony. Rev. I cannot say enough good things about Rev. Brian! He was an absolute pleasure to work with! My fiance and I got married on the beach, but still wanted to have a Roman Catholic style ceremony. We called Rev. Brian to set up a meeting to determine if he would be a good fit for what we were looking for. He was very receptive to what we wanted, and asked us questions about our story. He made us feel very comfortable, so we knew we were making the right choice in booking with him. A few months before the wedding, he sent us a draft of the ceremony to review to ensure we were happy with it. Since we got married on the beach, there was no mic system, but Rev. Brian did a great job projecting his voice to ensure everyone could hear him over the sound of the waves without sounding like he was shouting. The ceremony that he put together for us was absolutely perfect! It had just the right amount of humor to keep our guests interested. We could not be happier with having chosen Rev. Brian as our officiant. From the moment we met him we immediately clicked. He is super sweet, accommodating and totally pleasant every step of the way. During our rehearsal he took charge (always with a smile on his face) and made sure we had a smooth and simple rehearsal where everyone understood what they had to do. It was just perfect. Prior to the wedding, he provided us with a variety of vows to choose from as well as the choice to write our own. He worked with us until we had the timeline of the ceremony and vows in place. The wedding ceremony was a total success, ran smoothly and everyone loved the vows we chose from the list of choices Rev. Brian provided. We would recommend Rev. Rev. Brian is absolutely amazing at what he does and I'd recommend him to anyone I know who is looking for a custom wedding ceremony. My husband and I were getting married out of state and had to go with our gut when looking for vendors that were 1000 miles away. Rev. Brian was able to set up a skype appointment when it was time to set up our ceremony. He is extremely professional and does an amazing job paying attention to detail and getting the ceremony the way you want it. He definitely focuses on what you want to happen on that day! Rev. Brian was extremely helpful during the planning time and made our planning experience easy. On our wedding day the ceremony was a big hit. We had a wonderful ceremony in May at the Tides Estate officiated by Rev. Brian. Rev. Brian was great, he wrote a personal ceremony script that was romantic, and included personal details of how my husband and I met. It was exactly what we wanted. It’s hard to pick an officiant since almost all of them can customize your ceremony to your liking, but Rev. Brian was able to put together a wonderful ceremony that we will remember for the rest of our lives. He met with us, talked about our relationship, how we met and wrote a great ceremony script that we were able to review and amend if we wanted to. He had a great, clear speaking voice and I don’t think our guests had any trouble hearing him. A nice little touch that I didn’t even think about was that he stepped aside when we had our first kiss so the photographer took a picture of us without him in the picture. I thought that was a display of experience and thoughtfulness that I now look for at other weddings.

I found Rev. Brian here on theknot after not feeling comfortable with the first officant we had met in person (that we found on another site). After reading his reviews and speaking with him over the phone, I immediately felt more confortable with him. We had met with Brian in person convenient for both of us and we knew right away he was our guy due to his experience, personality, and overall genuine care we felt for us. We provided our high level requirements on what we wanted in our ceremony and he took it and ran with it! He took down detailed notes in our meeting, with a quick turn around time, provided our first draft and flow of the ceremony (which was very necessary for me since of course this is my first and only wedding :)

All in all the outcome was phenomenal and my wife and I have no regrets choosing Brian. I also found his voice very soothing which is another reason why I went with him. He's a great guy and again felt the love and care in his approach and delivery of the ceremony. Hence why we invited him in for cocktail hour and reception, haha. Thanks again Brian!!

Brian was the officiate at our wedding on June 7, 2014. We had our wedding on September 27th and Brian was our officiant. He was very kind throughout the whole process and very open to tailoring the ceremony with personal touches. We found Rev Brian through The Knot and during our first meeting we knew that we wanted him to perform our ceremony. He made us feel comfortable and he took a genuine interest into our story and what we wanted for our special day. Rev Brian is easily accessible through both email and phone. During our first meeting Rev Brian told us he was going to write our own individualized ceremony, and he definitely came through with that. From the moment I spoke with Brian over the phone, then sat down for lunch to discuss our details, and went through the rehearsal moments before the ceremony, and at the reception he was an extremely kind, friendly, professional and intelligent person. I literally felt like I was talking to a long time friend.

Some people just have great energy.

He made suggestions to us about different things that we could incorporate into our vows and into our ceremony. The entire time he made us both feel completely comfortable and put no pressure on us whatsoever. Everything went so smooth and perfect.

We took his suggestion and did a sand ceremony after our ring exchange. It is something that we will look back on with love forever.

His readings and words at the ceremony were very touching and were loved my all of our guests.

We had invited Brian to join the reception, and he was able to stay and enjoy with us. I put him at the 1st table with my family and close friends. He was a big hit with my family and all the rest of our guests. I was really happy he was able to stay.

Get this.... The next day, my wife and I and a few of our friends were out to lunch and it turns out Brian was sitting 2 tables away having lunch. Not only did we get the best treatment and service at our wedding but we also made a new friend.

I would highly recommend Rev. Brian to perform your wedding ceremony, you will not be disappointed.

Rev. Brian Jude was incredible. We knew upon our first phone conversation that he was the perfect minister for us. He is easy to talk to and always responded to any questions in a timely manner. Very personable and truly took time to understand what made us unique as a couple. He incorporated several of our interests (Yankees! Cryptozoology! Shark-diving!) into such a special ceremony. WOW where to begin, Rev. Brian came to the rescue when another minister refused to marry us when we showed up for our ceremony. We're a gay couple, a couple just like anyone else. Rev Brian responded on a moments notice and performed the ceremony we wanted all 100% our style. Rev Brian made us feel like we were like anyone else saying their vows. Rev. Brain was absolutely fantastic. He was very accomodating to our requests regarding how we wanted to our ceremony conducted. He made a trip out specially to meet us before hand, even though we had contacted him only 2 weeks before our wedding date, and made sure that we were comfortable with everything. On the day of, Rev Brian was extremely patient. Even though it was a mad rush, he kept all of us calm, and made sure everything ran smoothly. At one point, he played coordinator to the entire wedding! Every single one of our guests loved how personalised our wedding ceremony was, and it was such a pleasure to have Rev Brian guide us along. Simply said Brian was amazing! He worked within our budget to give us the wedding ceremony we thought we could not afford. Brian spoke with us via Skype since we lived out of NJ and got to know us and our story. He tailored the whole ceremony around us and incorporated both Jewish and Christain rituals, making it an absolutly beautiful interfaith ceremony! Highly recommend Rev Brian. I (the bride) flew in from California, my (now) husband flew in from Japan, our kids from PA, and Rev Brian knowing this, was on top of it all. My husband and I are very thankful that we were fortunate enough to have Brian officiate our wedding. Being that this was a second marriage for both of us, my husband and I were interested in designing our own ceremony but didn’t quite know where to begin. Brian assisted us in all aspects of the process, providing us with sample narrative, language, vows, readings, etc. Once we narrowed things down, he provided us with honest, valuable feedback and helped us tweak it to be exactly what we wanted.

Brian also shared his vast knowledge of the legal steps necessary to make it all happen (applying for a marriage license, etc.) and was always available to offer any guidance or support in the months and weeks leading up to our day. He always responded to my emails and telephone calls in a timely manner, providing the information or reassurance I needed. Throughout the process, he took OUR lead and provided the right combination or support and guidance.

On the day of our wedding, Brian was prompt, calm, organized and demonstrated what a true professional he is. I felt at ease knowing that Brian was ‘in charge’ and ready to do his part to make our wedding ceremony as perfect as it was. It was clear that he’d come prepared… he spoke clearly, slowly and with commitment and confidence.

I would definitely recommend Brian to anyone who is looking for someone to officiate their wedding. He is a true professional and a genuinely good, kind person who will do his best to make your day everything you want it to be.

Brian did a fantastic job performing our wedding/civil union service. It was the first year that Civil Unions were legally recognized in the state of NJ and he was happy to provide his services to us. I can't say enough great things about Reverend Brian. Like most, I found him through search engines and from the bat I could tell by his articles he was better than most. What do I mean by "better than most?" Well, he caught both my fiancé and my attention in a few key parts. He was all about making our wedding ceremony personal, after all it was our day just like it will be your day and I can't say enough how truly important the vows are. At the end of the day, it’s about the love between two people. Revered Brian took the time from the moment we reached out to him in order to accommodate our needs. We were fortunate to have him not only perform the ceremony but he also was able to run the wedding rehearsal for us as well the night before. I was a nervous bride but he helped keep me calm and collect and everyone else as well. He took the initiative to do the rehearsal and worked with us until everyone knew their role and their spot and place and we never felt the stress. It all went smoothly, but we know that's because he knew what he was doing and took the time and effort to make it great. During the wedding reception he also provided a meal blessing which we loved. He was 100% professional and we personally recommend him.
