Amazing DJ

Highly highly recommend All Ears DJ! Richard is great to work with and went above and beyond when DJ'ing our wedding.

Throughout our entire process from our intro call to our wedding day, Richard was very professional, responsive and organized. We really appreciate how it was so easy to work with him.

Richard went above and beyond to make our wedding fun. He created a unique mashup for the groom/mother dance and helped feature a special performance from the bride's cousin. We wanted the dance floor to be fun and packed all night, and Richard definitely delivered the fun energy! Our dance floor was crowded all night and the guests loved the vibes that the DJ brought. One of our guests even said he felt like he was at a nightclub in Miami.

Richard is the Best DJ we Could Have Hoped For!

Richard has been phenomenal from day one. He got back to our first inquiry quickly, walked us through the order of events, songs to choose, worked with the inspo playlists we sent him for all aspects of our day, and offers amazing extras like a vinyl hour, which we enthusiastically went with. Day of our wedding, he over-delivered. He made confident announcements, read the room for music vibes, provided amazing sound and mics for the ceremony, and provided the best dance floor sets. He is a complete delight and honor to work with. We are so grateful that he was available for our day and recommend him 10/10 times to anyone asking.

Good Vibes All Night Long!

Richard was the perfect DJ for our wedding! From the very beginning, he was easy going, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Their communication style made planning the music for our big day a breeze. On the night of the wedding, they kept the energy high by playing all the songs we wanted to hear. The music flowed seamlessly and their work was flawless, creating awesome vibes all night long. We had a big mix of ages and he knew what to pay to get multiple generations dancing! Literally the perfect DJ. We couldn't have asked for a better performance to make our wedding so special and memorable. We received lots of compliments about him following the wedding day. This Dancing Queen Can't Say Enough Good Things!

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and musician for our wedding! Richard was incredibly talented and flexible — seamlessly moving from live acoustic guitar to getting everyone on the dance floor with the perfect playlist. He was responsive, easy to work with, and so much fun throughout the process.

He learned our favorite song to play as I walked down the aisle (a moment I’ll never forget), and even serenaded us during a private cliffside first dance—something straight out of a dream. He read the room all night, keeping the energy high and the vibe exactly right. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience—we’d recommend him in a heartbeat!

Richard killed it

Richard killed it. Great communication, professional, took a couple requests, played all our "must plays" etc... but most importantly THE MIX ROCKED. He's actually mixing live, not just playing tracks with some automated beat matching. He actually made a mix of one of my favorite songs that I like better than the original (https://www.mixcloud.com/AllEarsDJ/murder-on-the-dancefloor/). Kept people dancing for a solid 2.5 hours. HIGHLY recommend, especially if you want something more interesting than pop hits all night.

Great experience with Richard!

We had an amazing experience working with Richard as our wedding DJ! From the beginning, he was super helpful and organized—he provided us with a music planner sheet that made it so easy to map out everything we needed. On the day of, he absolutely delivered. He played all the music we wanted, kept the energy high on the dance floor, and made sure every transition felt seamless. Richard also handled the mics for our ceremony and speeches flawlessly, and the music for all the special moments went off without a hitch. Everything ran so smoothly, and we never had to worry about a thing. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend - DJ+Sax combo was elite!

All Ears DJ, and specifically Aaron (DJ) and Daniel (sax), were incredible for our wedding! All Ears was easy to coordinate and work with during our planning phase, and very reasonably priced for the value you get. Aaron was a master DJ who took our vision and guidance songs to create a set that was better than we could’ve imagined - smooth transitions, great flow, and kept the energy up late into the night - dance floor was packed the whole time! Daniel’s accompaniment on the sax was also a game-changer, bringing a touch of masterful live performance to the range that Aaron was spinning. Could not recommend more!

Great Wedding DJ

Great Wedding DJ

Richard was great. He had a form that we filled out about a week ahead with music selections and do not plays. It was very thorough. He responded quickly when we reached out to him with questions. The music selection was mostly on me because my husband generally listens to instrumental. I listen to a wide variety of music, so I left it pretty open ended, which I was a little nervous about, but Richard pulled it all together. An eclectic mix, yet cohesive. We had a much smaller turn out than we were expecting and even more dropped out last minute, my guess is because of the weather. It was an outdoor venue and was rainy and cold all day, but managed to burn out by the time the party started. Only raining briefly after dinner (we had umbrellas for everyone). The music selection was great and everyone rallied and had a good time dancing the night away. The last song was All You Need Is Love and a kick line formed with the remaining friends and family. It was ridiculously amusing. 10/10 would recommend Richard to anyone. I spent a good amount of time listening to his mixes on Mixcloud and have really enjoyed them.

Easiest decision we made

So grateful and ecstatic that we got to work with Richard on our wedding. He was truly so easy to work with: professional, responsive, prepared, enthusiastic, and upbeat. He completely understood the vibe we wanted with our music. We danced for literally three hours thanks to Richard! We would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a DJ.

There aren't enough good things I can say about Richard.

There aren't enough good things I can say about Richard. He was the MC/DJ at our wedding last year and made everything run seamlessly. Planning was simple and breezy, he took our extremely chaotic and at times difficult requests and turned them into the best night ever. He also pulled off an incredible Eddie Munson cosplay (it was a costume wedding) Thank you Richard!

Just book them

Richard was awesome. He was super responsive throughout the process and had great energy for the entire wedding. We talked to him a few times leading up to the event to work out some ideas and I sent him a quick playlist I drew up and he said he would take it from there. He nailed exactly what we were going for and people had a great time all night. The guitar set he played at cocktail hour was perfect as well.

Incredible Flexibility and Amazing Service

The songs were a HIT

If you're looking for music for your magical day, we highly recommend looking into AllEarsDJ. Not only is Richard a great DJ, but he also offers to sing and play acoustic guitar as well.
We cannot praise Richard enough as he helped us announce everything at the wedding, making each transition seamless and even learned to play a last-minute song for our first dance. AllEarsDJ truly puts the magic In your big day, THANK YOU!!!

The best decision we made hands down.

WOW! We had Colin do acoustic for the ceremony and cocktail hour, then DJ for the wedding, and we couldn't have chosen anyone better. Colin learned new songs for our ceremony, and listened to our feedback for every song he played at the reception. We cannot express enough the top-notch professionalism, the superior communication, and overall incredible experience we had because we used a fantastic artist like Colin through All Ears DJ. We wouldn't change a thing. Thank you!

fantastic party!

From the moment I first spoke with Richard on the phone, I could tell his musical preferences meshed well with ours. He played a great mix of old-school funk and current hits that had our whole crowd dancing, from older aunts and uncles to our younger friends. We got compliments throughout the night on how great the music was! Richard was also laid-back, professional, and easy to work with, doing just the right amount of emcee-ing without being cheesy :) We hired the mirrorbooth through All Ears DJ as well, staffed by Richard's wife, Jalyn. Our guests loved it, lining up for photos all night. My husband and I love having copies of those mementos now in our shared home! Finally, both Richard and Jalyn were lovely people, and saying goodbye when they left felt like saying goodbye to our guests. I strongly recommend All Ears DJ if you want an awesome party!

Amazing DJ

Mike cochran was an amazing dj for our wedding. From ceremony to dinner to reception he listened to what we wanted and went above that. We never had an empty dance floor. He played all of our must play songs and listened to the crowd to create an amazing playlist that covered the spread of ages.

Hire richard!

I have been to a lot of weddings and I mean A LOT! One of the most important things to my fiance and I for our wedding was the DJ. I am extremely happy to say that Richard is HANDS DOWN the best freaking DJ of all time. He was able to take our eclectic music tastes and make the most wonderful soundtrack to our wedding. We specifically wanted music playing from the moment the guests arrived to the final dance and Richard DELIVERED! Each moment of the wedding was beautifully underscored by Richard, who followed our wishes to a tee. Richard also served as our master of ceremonies of sorts and he was so personable and able to keep the night moving at a perfect pace. Once it was time for the dance party, the floor was PACKED and it never stopped! The last thing I wanted was a sparse dance floor and let me tell you, NO ONE wanted to leave! Thank you thank you THANK YOU, Richard!!! You were so incredible, simply beyond words!

Great DJ and musician

My husband and I are so happy that we hired Richard as a DJ and to play live music during our reception and cocktail hour. He was perfect and just what we were looking for. The music and dancing portion was probably the thing my husband and I cared the most about and Richard delivered flawlessly. Having him play guitar and sing during cocktail hour was such a perfect setting and he is extremely talented as a musician. The songs he picked were perfect for the setting and it was great to have live music. We also knew that we wanted the dancing portion of the evening to last more than 5 hours and Richard kept the party going and the energy up the entire time and played a great range of stuff, while also playing all of our requests. He was great to work with, easy to communicate with and an excellent value. I would happily recommend Richard to anyone.

All bangers all the time

Richard did an amazing job at our wedding. We did not want a bunch of cheesy party games or call outs at our reception--just someone who would focus on the music and making sure our guests were dancing. We were also looking for someone who would make our ceremony feel special without resorting to a quartet or string ensemble. We looked at several DJs but didn’t really feel a connection with any of them. However, after we listened to Richard’s mixes on his website, we set up a meeting.

We met for an initial consultation and he immediately clicked with both of our musical tastes--hip hop and indie. He was game to play our processional song acoustically for the ceremony. Two weeks before the wedding, we got in touch with him, and he sent over his pre-wedding questionnaire (names, order of reception/ceremony, genres, etc). We added several more specific genres and examples of songs we liked. Richard was extremely accommodating.

The day of the ceremony and reception, he arrived on time and dressed perfectly for the occasion. Our ceremony was outdoors, and unfortunately we had some issues with wind. Richard was very accommodating and suggested a microphone setup that would minimize picking up wind for our officiant and speakers. He nailed the processional song, although it was a little hard to hear over the wind. He also suggested playing a recording of the recessional song instead of doing it acoustically which was a great suggestion. Overall the ceremony went off without a hitch. None of our guests complained about not being able to hear, and all of the microphones worked great off the bat.

Due to the weather, we had to shift the cocktail hour indoors, which Richard was accommodated easily and professionally. He quickly put on an outdoor mix as well as an indoor mix. The volume was perfect and it did not overpower our conversations. Both mixes were spot on--the exact vibe we were going for. We both loved going inside and outside and recognizing songs or artists we put on our list.

Richard was great with announcements. He introduced the bridal party without a hitch. He set us up to borrow the mic for a quick toast and thank you. His dinner mix was on point as well. He hit the exact mood we wanted. Again, the volume was perfect--just enough to be heard, but not hard to talk over.

For dancing, Richard really nailed it. He kept the dance floor hopping the entire night. He did just an impeccable job shifting between various genres and moods without any awkward pauses or floor clearing songs. We had several older guests at our wedding, and we were worried that the music might be too fast, but they were dancing all night long. Richard played a great mix of older and newer songs, and each song just felt like it belonged. He worked in songs we wanted as well as classic ones we didn’t know we wanted to dance to. We trusted him to put on a great show, and he absolutely did not let us down.

Overall, Richard was great to work with. We gave him guidance with our genre and song picks, but let him do his thing and he really nailed it. We asked him for a mix afterwards, and it was great listening back to it. Thanks so much Richard for a memorable time!

DJ Kidd was so easy to work with!! We knew he was an experienced DJ so we left a lot of the decision making regarding the music up to him and his ability to read the crowd- and he did not disappoint! Mike did a phenomenal job as our wedding DJ in Lake Tahoe (he drove in from San Francisco)! He seamlessly mixed old-school jazz with modern electronica and kept the dance floor full of happy people from all generations. We really wanted to avoid generic top 40 wedding songs and Mike was able to understand and accommodate our particular tastes. When our friends made silly song requests for a dance-off he made sure that we were ok with the requests before smoothly working them into his set. He arrived with all the equipment we needed for an outdoor reception, including extra gear that we didn't realize we would need until the day of. I would happily recommend Mike and All Ears DJ for any event.

Stevie and Heidi absolutely put our wedding over the top!!! We were looking for a DJ/Live Musician combination for our wedding to play at both the ceremony and reception and quite a few vendors joked to let us know when we found this “unicorn”. We are happy to say that we definitely did with All Ears! We used a combination of Stevie Cruz and Heidi Gluck and WOW … we could not have been happier!
Heidi provided the instrumentals and vocals for our ceremony, as well as the first dance and sounded absolutely amazing! We had a few specific songs in mind that we wanted to use and she was flexible and willing to learn if she wasn’t familiar already. She also sent us a couple of recordings of her singing our first dance to both ensure that we were happy with her take on a Frank Sinatra classic (we’re telling you - this girl has talent!) and also to give us an opportunity to practice our first dance.

I don’t even know where to start with Stevie so the first thing I’ll say is if you’re looking for a regular wedding DJ, keep looking because this guy is a professional (literally) and it was obvious to all of our guests! Stevie was so easy to communicate with and extremely responsive to any questions or thoughts that we had for him leading up to our wedding but that doesn’t begin to review his talent that was shown at our reception. Our goal was to have a packed dance floor all night with a reception that felt like a true party (sans those “normal” wedding reception songs you hear like the cupid shuffle, YMCA, electric slide, etc) and Stevie more than delivered! Our guests were all talking about his song choices, how he was mixing songs, and one of the jokes of the night to describe his talent was how he could even make the beat drop in Wonderwall. I wish I threw parties worthy of a DJ on a regular basis, because I would use Stevie EVERY TIME, hands down. He took our favorite genres and absolutely exceeded any expectations we could’ve had!

Alex Ward with All Ears DJ (Chicago) is simply amazing. I can't brag enough that we had the BEST DJ for our wedding. He was fantastic to work with and really listened/understood what we were looking for. He knew all the songs that would get people dancing, had a great flow of oldies, today's hits, and slow jams, and may sure to work in a few favorites. Our dance floor was never empty, so much so we had to extend the wedding another 20 min because nobody wanted to stop. Thank you for making our wedding so incredible!!

Richard made our wedding the biggest blast we've had in a long time! People are still going on and on about it. He played our requests for "San Francisco" songs during dinner and hit every mark we gave him, but when my Atlanta friends wanted, no, needed Ludacris and Outkast, he delivered. He was chill the whole time and I had zero hiccups regarding the music. Would recommend to anyone!!

Richard was seriously the best decision we could have made with regards to music. He worked with us for budgeting, showed enthusiasm with every idea we threw at him, learned a song on acoustic for our recessional, and kept the party going HARD at the reception as both DJ and MC. Everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - was having a blast on the dance floor. It was wonderful being able to work with ONE person for live acoustic ceremony music as well as DJ reception - and he was incredibly flexible with regards to our ceremony and reception being in two locations and managed it very, very well. He was such a pleasure to work with and really listened to who WE were and took cues from our group with regards to music choices (as well as songs we really wanted to hear that night), making our experience really feel like one of a kind. He is an absolute pleasure to know and be around, and we would HIGHLY recommend him if you have the opportunity to work with him!

Richard helped us create the night we were dreaming of. He was very helpful through the entire process and made things fun and simple. During our meeting together we gave him very little direction and mostly put our faith and Richard. It was a success, everybody was dancing all night and had a great time. So much so that people didn't eat as many cupcakes as we calculated because they were having too much fun dancing. He even surprised my husband by sneaking in a Punk Rock song from his favorite band in at the end of the night. We can't recommend All Ears DJ enough and if you choose to use them at your wedding I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Richard, Martin, I'm not sure where to start except with thank you. Planning a wedding leaves you in a position of having a lot of problems to solve, a lot of new relationships to build, and a lot of putting your faith in strangers hoping that they'll deliver on what they promised. You both, but mostly you Martin :), exceeded my hopes and expectations beyond what I could have imagined.

In my opinion, music can claim responsibility for at least 80% of any successful wedding. We've all been to the weddings that are beautiful. The ceremony is short. The booze is flowing freely, even the bride's long-winded father has managed to pull off an entertaining speech, and then the music starts. Sure hearing "Celebrate good time come on" blare from the speaker seems like a bad start, but you have faith. This wedding has been too good. The couple thought of every little detail. Surely this wedding will get better. And then it doesn't. People abandon the dance floor with the same level of disinterest that the DJ employed when he downloaded "Best Wedding Playlists of 2016," hit play on his MacBook, and started swiping right on the phone he conveniently placed on the unplugged turntables he brought for show...or at least that's how it seems.

Martin, I can confidently say that you were the MVP of John's and my wedding. When I say this I mean, it would have been a worse wedding had you not been there. Your actions, professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to do whatever it took to deliver on your promise, made our wedding incredible. It's not JUST that you played amazing music that kept people on the dance floor all night long and offered to play the bad guy when our no play list songs were requested, that's the work of a good DJ. You are a super DJ. You single-handedly managed the evening, moving us from one event to the next because as you correctly assumed, we needed the help. I had a difficult time choosing a DJ because I knew that I wanted more than just someone playing various CD's (songs and specific artists). When I read about the various DJ's through All Ears DJ, and especially when I read about Collin Halliburton, I knew I had finally found the DJ to play during my very special day. Collin plays and sings live music and is willing to learn new songs just for you! He played and sang (LIVE) while me and my husband danced our first dance as a married couple. It was so special. Having a mixture of live music mixed in with everything provided my wedding with the touch of class that I was looking for. We danced non-stop all night.
I am so happy that I made the decision to have Colin DJ our wedding. We hired him to DJ the reception. The only reason we did not have him perform the ceremony music is because we have a family friend who is a pianist. When searching for a DJ, we were looking for someone who understood weddings and had plenty of wedding experience, but who was a real DJ, in an artistic sense. I wanted to feel like I was out on the town with all my best friends and I did not want to be stuck doing the Cha Cha slide and the YMCA all night. I also didn't want the cheese that some wedding DJs have. Facilitate the reception events, read the crowd, and play awesome dance music. We found this in Colin of All Ears DJ.

Colin arrived early to the venue and got to work right away. He went above and beyond the call of duty and helped ensure that the pianist could amplify his sound and that the officiant had sound as well. Once the ceremony started, he held the sheet music down for pianist since he was worried it would fly away. When the ceremony started and the officiant couldn't be heard, he reached over and turned the volume up. These are all things that I had not prepared for and am so grateful that Colin came with a problem-solving, let's-make-this-a-great-day-even-if-it's-not-my-job attitude. I feel like that is a rare quality.

Once the reception started, I heard nothing but compliments about the music. Colin had my husband and I complete a well-crafted reception planner via Google Docs after meeting with him, which helped us communicate clearly with each other. When the dance floor opened for everyone, it stayed full literally the whole night. I never wanted to leave it because every song was so good. It seemed like every time I would step off the dance floor, I would have to run back onto the dance floor because "my favorite" song would come on! All of our guests had such a blast.

We've been to enough weddings to understand that music can make or break a party. Plus, our wedding was a music-festival-themed one, so we needed a DJ that understands the sound we wanted. Richard was fantastic, and he definitely knew how to throw an amazing party! He has great taste in music and can get everybody dancing. Plus, his MC-ing skills are excellent and made great intros to the various parts of our reception! Thanks Richard! Highly recommended!!!

If you need a DJ, Richard is definitely your guy! He was everything we hoped for and more in a DJ. He was very responsive and on his game during the planning process. He's engaged, energetic yet mellow and definitely knows how to get the party started and keep it going. We couldn't have been happier!!

Richard was our DJ and he did an amazing job!! From the instrumental and acoustic music before, during, and after the ceremony, to the DJ/MC'ing for the reception, we were very impressed and happy to have chosen All Ears DJ.

Richard met with us before our wedding to go over details and music choices and we felt like he really cared about our special day. He even learned the instrumental version of "Can't Help Falling in Love" for my walk down the aisle. He is talented, professional, and just an awesome guy. Thanks Richard!!

We had an absolutely amazing experience working with All Ears DJ for our wedding in Sebastopol, CA. We did not have a wedding coordinator and we were worried how the wedding would flow without a coordinator but Richard and our other vendors worked seamlessly together. Richard’s music selection was great, he created the right vibe for the night and our dance floor had great energy the whole night. Richard also sang during the cocktail hour and it was a big hit; everyone was really impressed. All night, he had an uncanny ability to keep the wedding on time without being imposing on the guests. More than anything, he made us feel relaxed and able to enjoy our wedding night.

I wish there were more stars to give to this company. Jayson Ehm from All Ears DJ was incredible. We booked him for our April wedding just about 3-4 months prior to the big day and we could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. For those that don't feel like reading my novel, just know that you need to look no further for a DJ - you found the best one! Let me give you the run down of how awesome he was.

First, I contacted the general business email and was very promptly given a sweet reply by the company's owner, Richard Gintowt. He informed me that Jayson was available for the big day and he copied Jayson on the email. Jayson almost immediately wrote me back. His email was kind, thoughtful and professional. The booking process was a breeze and their contract was incredibly fair and flexible. Jayson wanted to meet my (now) husband and I almost immediately (since our wedding was so soon) and he drove quite a distance to make it easy on me and my husband. He was easy to talk with, professional, but also super chill! (which was exactly what we wanted). Jayson stayed in regular communication with me and my husband in the months leading up to our wedding. He was quick to reply to emails and was so reassuring to me during my bride freak out moments.

Now for the day of. Jayson showed up a good 2 hours before the wedding to set up and make sure everything was good. We had rain on our day and it was an outdoor wedding so he was super flexible with last minute changes to the plan. We did not have a day of coordinator, so Jayson emcee'd the wedding - this was HUGE! He was not cheesy, or loud or obnoxious (because let's be honest, SO many wedding DJ's are). He made the whole day flow SO smoothly, while also being unassuming (and of course, professional). He did exactly what we requested and it could not have been more perfect. When it came time for party time, he read the crowd so well and definitely got me dancing! Clearly, I highly recommend this vendor!

Richard did a phenom job at our wedding last week. Our wedding reception was an 80's themed party complete with the outfits to match. Richard rallied and made it to our remote location in Sonoma/Napa forest with time to spare despite the terrible weather and rain. He cranked out the tunes and kept everyone dancing and rocking on the floor! His special wall graphics and uplights were a hit, and we couldn't have been more jazzed! Corey did a fantastic job at our wedding in October. He was super easy to work with and had a lot of helpful suggestions for planning out our music. My husband and I were both wary of ending up with a DJ who was cheesy and over the top (I know we've all experienced those DJs...). Corey did a great job of directing the wedding events without being obtrusive at all. Most importantly, he was spot on with playing music that we liked. I kept thinking I would take a break from dancing as soon as he played a song that I was less excited about but that never happened. We would highly recommend him!

We can't say enough about DJ Richard's great work! From our first phone conversation, he was personable, upfront about pricing, and put us at ease about the process (we'd heard nightmare stories about finding a DJ from friends). Prior to our wedding, Richard was always responsive to our ideas and took the time so that we could meet in person, which meant a lot to us. On our wedding night, he did an absolutely perfect job of mixing our personal preferences with ideas of his own to keep the party going. I don't think a single wedding guest didn't get up to dance, and I know no one wanted to leave! Richard made everything easy and fun, and we were so lucky to have him as our DJ!

Colin performed live music before our ceremony and during our cocktail hour. So many of my guests told me how much they enjoyed it and how wonderful he did. He was also the MC for the events of the reception as well as the DJ. He did such a great job at providing the right mix of music, and there wasn't a single time in the night that there wasn't people on the dance floor! Everyone had such an amazing time and I would HIGHLY recommend Colin and this company to any bride and groom!

Richard was amazing during the wedding planning process. He was always quick to respond and worked with us to create a playlist that will be perfect for our wedding. He did a wonderful job the day of the wedding, he made sure to help the event coordinator keep things on time and created the perfect playlist that everyone enjoyed. He has so many things to offer to make your DJ package even better, he can do acoustics on his guitar and add up-lighting if you are interested.

DJ Jayson Ehm was the DJ for our wedding in July 2015. We contacted All Ears, and Richard set us up with Jayson. We got the chance to meet with him twice before our wedding, and it was great to talk things through with him. Jayson was very attentive to our vision for the type of music we wanted at our wedding. On the actual day, he played all of the songs we wanted him to, and nothing that we had said to veer away from. Most importantly, people danced! A lot! In addition, Jayson helped us with a mic for the outdoor ceremony, and a somewhat tricky setup where we had the reception begin outside and then move inside later. This was no problem for Jayson, who had a second sound setup ready to go, and prepped things inside beforehand so that there wasn't dead-time between the move from outside to inside. In all, we couldn’t have been more pleased with our DJ.

Richard was outstanding. He's a gifted guitarist and really strong as a DJ as well. We got a ton of compliments on the energy he created, both during his acoustic set and his role during the dancing stage. He was definitely a highlight, and in retrospect I'd pay more for his services. I'd recommend him without reservation.

Another cool thing he does (if you go down the guitar road) is he'll learn a song that is special to you as a couple. He did a great job with ours - we actually made it the recessional. You will not regret booking him.

Martin at All Ears is an amazing wedding DJ. We interviewed several and Martin came across as cool, calm and talented with good music taste. We got the Wedding Singer package so he would also sing during our cocktail hour and our first dance. Wow. I wish I had more time to spend at the cocktail hour so I could enjoy his playing more. I heard it while taking photos and my husband and I looked at eachother and said "wow, he's good." He played our first dance song which created the perfect, individualized moment.

Martin is a DJ who can keep the dance party going, will play non-cheesy, fun songs and who will stay off the mic as much as possible. Your wedding is about you - not the DJ. Martin was flexible, had good ideas like which artist had the best version of a particular special song and made the event run smoothly. You'd make a mistake by not hiring this guy to be your wedding DJ - he books up fast so do it soon.

We had Colin perform live music during our ceremony on an urban patio in Kansas City. He was absolutely amazing and we got nothing but fantastic feedback on his performance from all of our guests. He rolled into the reception and created the perfect atmosphere for our guests. Colin listened to all of our music preferences months before the wedding and guided us through the whole process. We hired Richard for our wedding last weekend and it was one of the best decisions we had made. He is just so easy to be around plus he's experienced, professional and talented at what he does. He takes all of your music requests and puts his own spin on what he thinks will get the crowd on the dance floor. I will never forget our guests yelling "one more song" cause they didn't want the music to end! We absolutely loved our DJ, Colin Halliburton. He played and sang for an acoustic happy hour while our bridal party was taking pictures and all of our guests raved about how awesome it was. He also used our agenda for cake cutting, speeches, first dances, etc. and kept everything on schedule (we didn't have a reception coordinator and because of him, we didn't need one). He was even willing to do an acoustic cover of our first dance, the son and mom dance, and the father daughter dance. His music selections kept everyone entertained and on the dance floor the entire night. I would highly recommend considering him to DJ your wedding.

All that I can say is WOW! Marty Bush from All Ears DJ was the DJ, MC and live music during the cocktail hour for our wedding on June 6th. Everything was perfect and he did an awesome job. I had friends and family say that they enjoyed the live music. The reception was so much fun and our guests danced the entire night. People that never dance were on the floor all night. He provided a great playlist and knew what to play at the right time. Marty was very professional, thorough and did exactly what we asked. We needed a DJ for our wedding and met Richard briefly at the Bold Italic wedding expo in San Francisco. We had a good feeling about him, so we scheduled some time to meet with him over coffee. A cappuccino later and we had found our wedding DJ!

Richard took everything we threw at him -even our weird and specific requests- with a smile. Not only did everything turn out perfectly, the whole process was EASY, which we were so grateful for after all the little never-ending details of wedding planning. Wayne was a stellar DJ. Before the big day, we sat down with Wayne to go over our music preferences, and he got our style and taste right away. The dance floor was packed the entire night, with guests of all ages. We received numerous compliments about the music that was played. (Even the crazy requests by the bride all night.) We appreciated his easy going attitude, and his ability to keep the party bumping. Thank you, Wayne!

When I say that you absolutely must use Colin from All Ears DJ what I mean is that if you do not use Colin you are making a MASSIVE mistake. He is just that good.

My husband and I are super into music -- we spent a lot of our first dates seeing concerts in and around New York City, and, so, when we decided to get married at my parent's house in Topeka it was really important to us that we were able to find a DJ that would understand how important music was in our relationship. Colin was totally that person. All Ears is determined to make your wedding music really reflect your own style and taste -- we actually met with Colin a month before our wedding, got a beer, and just talked about music for an hour. From there we filled out a "worksheet" provided by All Ears that says things like, "What are your guilty pleasures?" (For me, Beyonce everything with some Mariah thrown in for good measure.) "What songs can we absolutely NOT play?" (Blurred Lines, duh.) "What songs do we have to play?" (Rollar Coaster by Bleachers and Call Your Girlfriend by Robyn), What song should we end the night on? (I and Love and You by the Avett Brothers), etc.

Once the reception started, Colin was ALL over it in the best way possible. He seamlessly kept the party going for hours and took requests all night like a champion -- including multiple requests for Backstreet Boys that came after all the champers was downed.

We also had payed for the package that included Colin playing acoustic guitar during our cocktail hour which was a really nice touch and something I know our guests (and us!) really enjoyed. He had a great list of songs that he was able to play and even learned a couple new ones that we requested.

I honestly cannot recommend Colin enough. His services were affordable, his attention was personal, and he really listened to what we wanted and gave us the party (with a wedding attached!) that we had dreamed about.

Colin Haliburton was our DJ and he was great! He played all the music we liked and then some and people were dancing all night. The dance floor was not once empty. My husband and I hired Richard for our Sonoma wedding this Fall, and he did an amazing job! The dance floor never had a dull moment and he kept the party going. I really appreciated that before the wedding he took the time to meet with us twice, to go over the music we wanted to hear and help make suggestions for certain parts like the bouquet toss and cake cutting. He allowed guests to make requests and really stuck to the list of music we requested ahead of time. Our main goal was to keep the dance party going till the very end, and he made sure to play to all types of guests from the younger crowd, to even our grandparents! Highly recommend him! But I do recommend to provide a list of music before hand, since that ensured we would hear every song we wanted and he could plan out a good flow to the night. Thanks Richard!

My husband and I searched and searched for our wedding DJ.We both felt it so important that we had someone who got us and wasn't a typical "wedding DJ". We are so happy we hired All Ears DJ specifically Beau! He was perfect for our special day! Upon our first conversation with Beau we felt we clicked. He was personable and easy getting to know us in a casual conversation that felt like we were talking to a friend. He is has a great personal style and charm while MCing. He knows how to get good laughs and get everybody dancing to your older guests to your party crew everyone was grooving on the dance floor. Marty Bush was our DJ and we ordered the "wedding singer" package, meaning that he played guitar and sang during the ceremony and cocktail hour, as well as DJ'd at the reception. We seriously couldn't have asked for better! He met with us months before the wedding to go over what we knew at that time, we exchanged emails as we learned more information, and we met two days prior to finalize details and song lists. He got a feel for what we did and didn't want to hear throughout the night and nailed it! There was a packed dance floor all night and so many people commented to me that his singing/playing was the best part. Marty is a great musician and knows what he's doing. Totally worth it!

We had Wayne Hutcherson as our wedding DJ in July. We used him for our ceremony music as well as our reception DJ. Wayne exceeded our expectations in so many ways. He sang acoustic songs live at our outdoor ceremony and even learned one of our favorite songs! It was so extremely memorable and he is SO talented with such an amazing voice. The ceremony music was exactly what we had imagined and his music gave out the exact tone and vibe we were hoping for.

Wayne made the reception so much fun! He listened to our input on the styles of music we wanted to be played and our guests just loved him. Everyone really had a blast on the dance floor. Also...he was NOT cheesy at all and didn't have the typical "radio announcer" voice which I know I really hate to listen to at weddings. He did an outstanding job and played until the very last minute he possibly could have, and we really appreciated that.

Not only was Wayne an incredible DJ, he was super flexible and understanding throughout the entire process. He was such a cool and chill guy, we wanted to be friends with him and hang out with him even outside of our wedding! It was great getting to plan our wedding music services with him and getting to know him.

Book him fast-totally worth it! You won't regret it :)

Richard, of All Ears DJ, is a true pro. Straight from the beginning after talking with many other DJs and musicians I knew he 'been there, done that' so they say and gave us extreme confidence he could pull off anything we had in mind, which was a tad more than simply a rockin' DJ who knew how to get people to dance. We wanted live acoustic music and singing for portions of our wedding and Richard has the unique ability to rock both!

We met with Richard a couple months before the big day to go over what we were looking for and tastes and hit it off. From there, Richard worked with us to setup the perfect mix of live ceremony, dinner music, DJ'ing, and lounge acoustic to accompany our event and then proceeded to SAVE the big day by coming through with his own mic and ceremony setup when our rental company spaced on it.

Hire All Ears DJ if you want a rockin DJ, but know he is capable of even more to make your special day your own.

I had Martin Bush as my DJ and ceremony musician. I had initially wanted a string trio or quartet but when I saw a sample of Martin playing/singing on YouTube I changed my mind. He was able to play all of the selections I chose for the ceremony and didn't charge me $50-$100 per song like some musicians do for non-standard ceremony music (e.g. M. Ward, Magnetic Fields, The Cure). He was equally amazing as a DJ. Being the bride, I was constantly being taken aside for additional pictures or to talk to guests but I could still tell that Martin definitely had a good feel for the room. If a song wasn't going over well - he'd subtly fade into another. At most of the weddings I've attended, it takes a few songs (or drinks?) before people really hit the dance floor. But Martin kept people dancing from the time the dance floor opened until the very end of the night! I had many guests come up to me and compliment me on our choice of DJ!

We had Wayne DJ our reception at the beginning of June. The wedding planning process can be so stressful, and finding a good DJ is such an important part. After all, the DJ sets the tone for the reception and is a major factor in ensuring that wedding guests have a great time. For us, that was what our reception was all about.

Wayne really exceeded our expectations in every way. Leading up to the wedding, he was very attentive to questions and exhibited a genuine desire to create the party we imagined. Just as we requested, he played more classic songs throughout cocktail hour and dinner, and then, after toasts and cake, Wayne cranked up the party music. His tunes catered to every age and we had post-wedding reports that it was one of the best receptions that our guests had been to.

In addition, we had an outdoor tented reception, which was preceded by several days of rain, making the ground a little soggy. This did not seem to phase Wayne, and even though there were a couple of scares with the power at the beginning of the night, Wayne was very calm about it and had a back up plan ready to go.

I highly recommend Wayne. Book him fast!

Martin Bush DJ-ed our wedding, and he was so great! When he met with us before the wedding, he really understood the vibe we were going for, and was familiar with our indie-music tastes. During this meeting, he explained how some DJs feel they are putting on a performance, when their job is "party facilitator" - I knew then that we made a good choice and we were not disappointed!

He was a huge reason that our event ran so smoothly. Martin played the music for our ceremony and reception, and he brought equipment to amplify relatives who performed music during our ceremony. He had perfect timing for the music changes as people walked down the aisle, as well.

At the reception, he maintained the momentum during dinner, toasts, cake cutting, dances.. etc. and everything was perfectly timed so our guests were never bored! He also read the dance floor superbly and everyone had a great time! Many of our guests told us it was one of the most fun weddings they have been to, and I have to give Martin a lot of credit for making that happen! If you are looking for a DJ with great taste in music, who is friendly and willing to work hard to make your event stress-free, look no further!

We had Wayne for our wedding at the InterContinental. He was very relaxed, professional, and responsive prior to the wedding and then provided great service at the wedding. He knew when to keep the dance floor going, when to change songs up, and overall kept it packed all night. Per our request, he didn't get overly talkative, other than the needed announcements and was courteous to our guests and accommodating to their requests. The InterContinental likes him, our guests loved him, and he was perfect for our wedding. As a plus it seemed like he had a great time as well -- thanks Wayne.

We hired Wayne to do our special birthday party on Nov 1. It was a very special 30th & 40th shared party for two of our best friends.

We were so stressed about the event with over 200 people attending with a wide range of tastes and demographics. Dr's to waiters, Teachers to Lawyers.

Needless to say - Wayne nailed it with the music!!

Everyone was up and dancing by the end if the night and we received such great feedback from all the guests about how great the party was (especially the music).

We hired Martin Bush to DJ our wedding and we could not of been happier with our choice. We have a song, but it's too fast to dance to and he was able to slow it down and play an acoustic version on his guitar for our first dance. How cool is that?

Wayne was the DJ at our 11/23/2013 wedding.
We booked All Ears, at the request of the owner of our venue, a short time before our wedding, about two months. I'm sure that is a wedding vendor's nightmare, but I would have never known it. Wayne's flexibility, professionalism, and (most importantly) music tastes totally won me over on our first meeting, and I knew I wanted him at our wedding.
He sent us home with a worksheet of sorts where we were able to denote genres of music we liked and disliked, how we wanted the reception to be structured, which events we'd like to have at the reception, etc. Since the pacing of wedding receptions is far from my forte, Wayne happily met with us one more time to go over things and provide me with some peace of mind, which I really appreciated.
The day of the wedding, Wayne was there hours before the ceremony, making sure everything was ready to go. He looked great and charmed everyone associated with the wedding! He graciously assisted our guitarist friend when there was an equipment issue. He announced everything at the perfect time and always checked with us before doing so to ensure we were ready.
When it was time for the party to start, Wayne did such a great job that people came off of the streets to crash our wedding. And everyone had so much fun.
I was looking for a DJ that would take care of everything for me so I wouldn't have to stress at all on the night of my wedding. Wayne did that and so much more.
I am incredibly pleased with the way my wedding went, which is due in large part to our DJ. I 100% recommend working with All Ears.

Richard did an amazing job at our wedding and reception. We have received so many compliments on what a fun environment he created for our guests. It was the perfect balance of direction and involvement to keep the entire evening flowing smoothly while maintaining a great atmosphere. He played the acoustic guitar during cocktail hour and then was the DJ for the remainder of the event. His song selection fit our tastes perfectly and he did a great job of taking guest requests. When choosing our vendors, it was important to us that we select interesting people that we liked being around (afterall, you do spend considerable amount of time with your vendors). Richard definitely fit the bill, and we had a lot of fun working with him. We thought it was really cool that he plays in a band and used to be a writer. From a professional standpoint, he did an amazing job. Richard sang for our ceremony and played guitar which added a really wonderful touch; we enjoyed this very much. He has a YouTube page where you can listen to the various songs he is able to sing, and we don't think it does him complete justice; he is even better live. He did a great job being the MC and DJ during the reception. Richard basically did exactly what we asked for, and expanded on our requests to make things better than we had even pictured. He's quick on his feet to adapt to last minute adjustment as well. He took time to get a feel for the music we like and tailored the event accordingly. A lot of our guests even commented on how great the DJ was, which we think is a big accomplishment at our wedding because we had a very diverse array of guests at our wedding. We would highly recommend Richard as a DJ, MC and acoustic guitarist. We are grateful to have had him contribute to our wonderful wedding day.

STOP your search for the perfect DJ! You found him!! When we started our search for a wedding DJ I basically gave up hope that we'd find someone that would "get us" and actually play music we wanted to hear. They all seemed a bit "cheesy" and no one was unique. Then I came across Richard!! I will forever be thankful for Richard and his ability to make our wedding fit us as a couple. I have goosebumps just thinking about how special he made our day for us. I got to walk down the isle to Richard playing a song acoustically that he learned just for us and there isn't anything that could have compared to it. Richard is MORE than a DJ! He helped get a timeline in place and really took initiative as to when the cake cutting, garter toss, ect took place. I had numerous guests say how well our wedding & reception flowed and I thank Richard for that. Many of the guests asked how we knew the DJ or if he was a friend of ours. They couldn't believe that he put so much effort into just us and loved him as much as we did. I've had multiple people say that was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Again, I thank Richard for this!! There isn't another DJ comparable to him. He is assertive, friendly, fun and gives great suggestions and ideas. My bride and I could not be happier with Richard's services. A DJ was very important to us, and Richard was above and beyond what we expected out of a wedding DJ.
Richard sang one of our favorite songs in acoustic during the lighting of the unity candle. It was very touching and we could not stop smiling. After the ceremony, the wedding party arrived to the reception where Richard was playing during the cocktail hour. The songs were great and gave a personal touch that we thoroughly enjoyed.
After we finished our food, the dancing started and did not stop. Richard played an assortment of music, all of which we loved, and kept the grandparents/wedding party/family and friends dancing all night.
Richard was always quick to answer any questions and gave excellent insight and guidance to the evening. We did not want the typical wedding DJ and we are so glad we found "All Ears Mobile DJ." We are fairly picky with the music we enjoy, and Richard's immense library provided the environment we were looking to have. He also provided some excellent humor as well ;)

This was the most amazing day and large part was because of Richard. Everyone was ranting and raving about how great the DJ did. Too many people to count were asking, "Who is that DJ!?". We couldn't be happier with the ceremony/cocktail hour/ dance. The day was truly perfect and we are so lucky to have found him. It was definitely our type of party!

Richard was exactly the type of DJ we wanted at our wedding. He played great music that everyone could enjoy at some point in time throughout the evening. Richard was our first and only choice for a DJ. We did some research on The Knot and contacted him because we thought his fees were reasonable and because he seemed very down to earth. We met with him once to do a preliminary interview and new he would be our choice. He had great suggestions and ideas for music and the way the night would be laid out. On the night of our wedding reception Richard ran the entire show and we couldn't have been happier with the way it all went. Everything ran incredibly smoothly. Best of all, when it came time for all the dancing that dance floor was full the entire time. He played great music and kept the party going, everyone had an awesome time. He paid attention to how people responded to the music as well, so if a particular song didn't seem as popular he changed it to keep people dancing. Richard was awesome to work with, always responsive with communication, and did a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend him to any couple looking for a fun dance party at their wedding reception.

We loved working with Richard. He is very organized and flexible. I liked that we were able to meet before the wedding to work out all of the little details. Richard was so awesome to work with! We met with him twice before the big day to get everything straightened out. I did not get a chance to thank you for all your wonderful music at Leah and Laura's weddings.

So I want to do that now.

I especially want to tell you the comments we are receiving about your job at Laura's wedding. My friends loved the evening and your music was a big part of that. Being that it was a small room, I know that you worked hard to achieve this effect, that during dinner that the music was a backdrop for their dinner and conversation. That is something everyone was thrilled about. They very impressed with your volume that when the dancing started was loud enough to dance to, yet conversations were still able to had with ease.

Your selection throughout the night was appropriate for each part: early in the evening the type of music that was played attracted the 40's and up crowd to get up and dance. Later that night when the "older crowd" had gone home you turned up the volume just enough and started playing the music that Laura, Justin and their friends really enjoyed. The dance floor was always full.

I personally loved the music and enjoyed the whole evening.

Thank you for making each of my daughter's wedding exactly what they had asked for and dreamed. You made their dreams come true.

I hope to plan one more wedding and hope that you can be a part of that plan.

Richard was our DJ for our wedding reception 9/17/11at Boulevard Brewery.

I found "All Ears Mobile DJ" through the (now defunct) "Wedding Hive," a sort of "indie" collective of wedding vendors in the Kansas City area. While I wouldn't describe myself as indie, I was certainly not wanting to have a "cookie cutter" wedding and I was immediately drawn to his description of his services on his webpage (aka: "It's ok to admit that you're scared of wedding DJs. The bad tuxes; the tacky "jazz" music during dinner; the fear of the Macarena and the Chicken Dance. Here is the good news: it does not have to be that way"). If you too "Fear the DJ" Richard is the perfect person to assuage that terror and help you throw a great party!

Richard has a great, warm personality and is extremely professional and easy to work with. We initially met with him to chat about the services he could provide and left our meeting feeling extremely confident that our guests would be on our dance floor all night! He has an extremely extensive music library, a good sense of what keeps people dancing, and is laid back and definitely NOT your stereotypical wedding DJ, which is exactly what we were looking for. Maybe a lesser known fact in wedding planning is that the DJ also serves as a MC for the reception, and we felt he'd do a great job with his charismatic personality and easy going vibe.

As we got closer to the actual date of our wedding (we snagged him early, knowing the music is a key component of a fun party!), Richard sent us a questionnaire which had all sorts of questions that helped plan the evening, and the types of music that would be played. We later met to walk through this worksheet and finalize details for the evening. It was great being able to spend so much face time planning with him—which is a huge asset I don’t think all DJ services offer. He was also very responsive to emails with any questions I might have.

So what you all really want to know about is—how was the party? Well, fabulous! I never had to worry my pretty little head for a moment about anything with his services—which is wonderful for a bride—so I could truly relax and enjoy the day! I was supremely confident he would deliver—and boy did he deliver! He was even able to find random songs I requested (“In Heaven There is No Beer” which is well known to Hawkeye fans, but I’m not sure anyone else) and ran the show incredibly smoothly—from intros, to toasts, to dismissing tables to the buffet, it was seamless and it was fantastic to know everything was in good hands so I could focus on chatting with guests and eating my pulled pork!

Once the crowd got warmed up, they definitely danced off all the cake and bbq they ate (and then some), and everyone had a great time! He has a great catalog of music, is very professional, yet friendly and accessible, and did a top notch job. I would highly recommend All Ears Mobile DJ for any of your events and am already plotting how I can host another party and use his services!

His passion for and knowledge of music is something he leverages as a DJ and is certainly a great asset that not everyone will have and enables him to play an eclectic mix of really good/ non-cheesy music to entertain your guests.

Something we didn’t get to take advantage of—but that’s a great value add—is Richard can perform live music as well.

Richard, I have to tell you, Cameron is one totally awesome guy. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. We met him and instantly clicked. He had all the same music tastes as we do. We gave him a list of music and he went with it and threw in more that were just perfect for us. The dance floor was packed and always going. My husband Kennie thought he was the best.
We really can't thank him enough for doing such a great job. I want to have another wedding just so I can have him DJ for us again!
You have a good guy there!

All Ears came with an extensive planner to help you make sure the music played at your wedding is the music you enjoy. He also has the ability to set up a sound system if you have hired a string trio or quartet for your ceremony music.

Richard was the best vendor to work with before the wedding. He always answered emails/telephone calls and was always early to our meetings. He was very helpful in picking out our wedding music and was very organized. He was also the best vendor to work with during the wedding. He showed up early for set up and had all our last minute changes ready. He kept the dance floor full all night and made our wedding really fun. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a quality wedding DJ.

Richard was the DJ at our wedding. He was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for anyone or anything better. We have received so many compliments on him and he was a pleasure to work with. He had great ideas, especially the way he introduced the wedding party was a huge hit! Also, the comic relief he provided was great! I highly recommend!

I have been to a lot of weddings and rarely have I seen a dance floor as lit up and active as the one at my wedding!! The music was exactly what I wanted and definitely my style. Had we not planned to end the reception at 12:00 am because of the neighbors, I'm sure the dance party would have continued well into the wee hours of the morning. Thanks Richard - fantastic job!

I was so stressed about finding a DJ that would play good music and be able to emcee the party. After I met Richard, I knew I didn't have to worry any more. And I was right - he was fantastic on both counts.

Let me just say that I was not an ideal customer. I made lots of last-minute changes and had trouble with song selection. But Richard had great suggestions for us and rolled with whatever we threw at him. He and his girlfriend were even able to provide us with live music for the ceremony at the last minute (for a well-deserved fee). They were lovely to work with before and during the wedding: willing to work within our budget, laid back, and very personable. I am still hearing from guests about how great the music was and how good they sounded live. Things went a little awry and I missed my entrance during the ceremony, but Richard and Michelle handled it like pros. They just kept playing until we had things back on track - I was the only one who knew things hadn't gone as planned. (To avoid this, I would advise others to clearly communicate your timeline and stick to it - maybe even agree on a signal for when you would like to start your processional. )

Richard even sent us a CD of the songs we chose for that night. I would recommend his service to anyone!

Richard did an amazing job! From the minute I read his website I knew I wanted his personality behind the music at our reception. He was a great combination of professional and easy going and gave great advice when I was too burned out from wedding planning to make song selections. Several of the guests commented about how great the music was and he had most of them on the dance floor. I really appreciate how well he handled so many people coming to him with requests and the flow of the reception timeline. Thank you for making the reception everything my husband and I wanted it to be!

Richard was the best vendor I worked with throughout the whole wedding planning process. He was very helpful when planning our reception music. He took time to listen to what we wanted and he delivered exactly that! Our reception was fantastic and I can honestly say a good portion of that was because of Richard. He gauged the crowd perfectly and kept the dance floor going all night. I would hire him again in the blink of an eye.

Richard was great! He met with us twice to understand us, our music preferences and our vision for the wedding. He and his girlfriend sang during the beginning of our dinner and were just extraordinary! The music he played was perfect and even introduced us with unique information we had shared with him about how we met etc. It was a great touch for our small, intimate wedding. Thanks Richard!

Richard was wonderful to work with. He took time to create a wedding playlist that was special for our wedding. He was available anytime we wanted to meet and was extremely flexible. Our guests complimented our music selections and it helped make our reception very memorable. Richard was very professional and had a great energy with our guests. I would highly reccommend his services to any bride who cares about music!
