Scott was an awesome DJ for our daughter’s wedding!! It was an outdoor wedding, cocktail hour, and reception set up. He flawlessly set up music and mikes at each location. Scott knows how to get the party going with fun music and can read the room and adjust quickly. He spoke to my daughter and her fiancé ahead of time to go over music and requests for her event. Throughout the reception he also took requests and played what everyone wanted to hear! I have been to weddings where the lack of experience with the DJ was obvious and the party was minimal….. that will not be an issue with Scott!! Book him early as he does fill up quickly!!

Best Wedding DJ!
Scott is organized, responsive, flexible and professional. We hired Scott for our wedding at the BoatHouse at Rockett's Landing. We gave him some tidbits of what we like but really wanted a DJ that was a self-starter and wanted the autonomy. This is Scott and it is where he shines. Scott kept the party rockin' from the get-go and kept it going until the end. Scott knows how to read the room and still stick to what works. All the classics and the musts were fit in, even some last-minute requests made it into the playlist.
If you are looking for a DJ that can mold to the crowd and keep the party going, Scott is your guy! It's all about the music is right!

My son’s wedding!

Kept the party going!
Scott was professional from beginning to end. He facetimed us prior to the wedding to go over all of the planning. He listened to all of our requests and followed through on every one of them, even after some last minute changes. Scott checked with us a few times during the day to make sure everything was on course and to clarify a few things. Once the dancing started it never stopped. He kept the party going all night long. We've gotten so many comments from wedding guests that it was so much fun! We can't thank Scott enough for all his hard work!

Scott was absolutely lovely. He diligently prepared for our wedding -- I was a bride who preferred to have control over the broader playlist--Scott took all of our preferences into account and prepared an AWESOME selection of songs based on what I chose. It was so obvious how hard he worked to make it perfect for us! The dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night---it was the BEST and we received so many compliments about what a crazy fun party the whole thing was. I would recommend Scott to anyone!!!!! His equipment (including lights for the dance floor and additional uplighting) was of high quality and he was particularly sensitive to providing the right volume level for all located in the dining room and then was able to "pump it up" for the dance floor. Great DJ and MC
Scott did an amazing job as DJ and MC at our wedding! Scott was professional throughout the whole process. He thoroughly went over the wedding timeline with us beforehand and he followed it to a T on the day of the wedding. He was all set up and ready to go when the wedding started and once the rehearsal began he did an excellent job handling, announcements, introductions, and our first dance. Finally, once the music really got going everyone was on the dance floor. My wife and I thought Scott did an amazing job and would highly recommend him if you are looking for a DJ for your event.

I believe he went above and beyond for our big day and would highly recommend him for your next event. We got marreid in my grandparents backyard and Scott was able to have enough equipment to set up for the wedding ceremony in one space and then the reception at another. Scott is very worth booking for any event you have! We had him DJ/MC our wedding a couple weeks ago and our experience with him from the moment we booked him was great. He is very quick to respond to questions and emails. He was flexible with setting up times for meetings. He is also a big planner - like I am - so our final meeting with him he asked any and every question to make sure he understood our vision for our wedding. Then, of course, hurricane Ian hit our wedding weekend and completely changed our wedding. Scott was incredible the whole week - we had to change venues and he made it so simple and was very flexible. During the wedding he rolled with the changes with ease and made sure our night was perfect! I highly recommend All About Music - Scott was one of the best choices we made for our wedding!

Scott was organized, communicative, and flexible. We were impressed that he questioned us during our consult to ensure he was the right fit. We liked his laid-back disposition, he was available, and the price was right, so we proceeded. As the wedding approached, I reached out about details and made several changes/decisions (some last-minute). He was responsive and patient, and gave great suggestions based on his experience. For song selections on his site, I specified which songs to use for which activities (and sent links to anything outside of his database). The other selections were examples of music we like/things he could play to allow for greater flexibility/him to showcase his DJ skills. I would highly recommend this approach as he made things flow seamlessly when our timeline got thrown off/we were late starting the reception. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves/get their groove on. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding/what we were looking for and would recommend him in a heartbeat.

We found Scott through wedding wire, he was the only DJ to respond to us. So thankful we looked no further and went with him. He is the most responsive, articulate vendor we dealt with during the reception process. He made the night so fun and the dance floor was full the entire time. Scott was incredible to work with! He was super communicative before the event which means the world to a stressed out bride to be :) Whenever I wanted to hop on an extra call or had to delay a scheduled call he was extremely flexible and patient. We had extremely custom requests requiring speaker set up in multiple areas of the event site and he understood our vision and prepped them all perfectly. He provides a music portal for his clients where you can add must play or do not play songs- and we accidentally selected 8 hours worth of must play songs when our event only had time for 2 hours worth. On the night of, Scott chose songs that fit the energy of the dance floor perfectly! It was extremely important to us that our dance floor maintained high energy the entire night. We kicked off dancing with a Congo line to the dance floor and the dancing never died down after that - not even once! Scott is an expert in the industry and I highly recommend him.

Wow, Scott was fantastic! And he made everything so easy…. Everything from the few calls to coordinate to the site to pick the music! The site was easy to as we were able to add ceremony-related cues, times and notes. It was really user-friendly, too. Scott called about a week or so in advance of the big day to nail down some logistics and confirm some of our harder to find songs (he found them all). Everything went off without a hitch! One of our favorite vendors - Hire Scott!
Scott was an absolutely fantastic DJ, and honestly one of our favorite vendors from our wedding. Prior to our wedding day, he was super responsive and easy to work with, and his website and planning forms were very user-friendly. He had a huge song database, but for songs we wanted that he didn't have, he just asked us to send the youtube link to make sure he used the version we wanted. We requested a fair number of songs, but still had some time where he filled in his own selections, and they were absolutely on point. Our guests had a blast dancing the entire evening, and the dance floor stayed crowded, which was the most important thing to us. Scott also truly listened to what we wanted - I had mentioned that I was fine with requests, but did not like line dances. I found out after the wedding that one guest had requested a line dance and he respectfully passed by that suggestion. Little things like that are so important! He worked so hard to make our day perfect on his end, and he succeeded. Highly highly recommend him if you are looking for a DJ!

32nd Vow Renewal Ceremony
Absolute professional that knows how to engage a crowd and control the event, as desired, through personal involvement and a well orchestrated event sequence timeline that includes selected music and announcements. Very easy to work with and has a canny knack of capturing your thoughts and desires and making them reality. No micromanaging needed! We used Scott to celebrate our 32nd vow renewal and he made the event special and kept the dance floor full for four hours with all ages dancing and having a great time. We will use him again for future family events! Simply a great addition to your special event!

Danced All Night!
DJ Scott was great! He was very responsive and easy to work with. We had to postpone our wedding twice due to COVID and Scott was understanding and re-scheduled us without hassle. We really appreciated his flexibility during our stressful, drawn-out process of wedding planning. He played music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as emceed during the reception. The entire evening went smoothly and he played all of the music we requested. We even had some custom songs we needed him to play and all we needed to provide was a Spotify or YouTube link -- simple! Guests (and myself) were on the dance floor the entire night. I was sad when the last song started playing -- went by too fast! I would recommend Scott for anyone's wedding!

Scott Was Great
Scott was a great DJ from the minute I hired him. First of all, he communicated with us early and often to make sure he knew just what we wanted at the reception. He worked with the bride to come up with a plan for the evening. And then he read the crowd and played the perfect music to keep the party going all night. He was the total professional. Showed up on time, set up and tore down without disturbing the flow of things, and made sure everyone had a great time.

Scott was an amazing DJ and an exemplary professional during the planning process. We had a wedding scheduled during COVID, and Scott checked in with me regularly, even when the rescheduling was still in progress. Scott was amazing and was such a pleasure to work with!! I cannot recommend him enough. I was a one of those bride that had to reschedule due to Covid. He was so helpful leading up to the wedding despite all the uncertainty. He always answered my questions so quickly and made the planning process so smooth and easy. Wow! Scott isn't only an AMAZING DJ but an overall great person to work with! If I had any questions, he answered them quickly and even helped me with some details I forgot about. He has a wonderful and easy to use website for planning and song requests. My fiance/husband and I had a lot of fun picking out music and were amazed at the extensive music library he provided. During the weeks leading up to the wedding, he was very attentive and easy to talk with. He made sure that every detail would be perfect for the day of. Finally, the wedding, he coordinated everything with my wedding coordinator for a streamlined evening of great music and dancing. Working with Scott was amazing! He was the only bender we hired that we didn’t personally know and I’m glad we made this choice. Great DJ Who Kept the Dance Floor Moving!
Scott did an amazing job for our August 2020 wedding. We lost our original DJ due to rescheduling our wedding, and when we found Scott he was incredibly accommodating. Scott was able to help us with the timeline of the wedding, and was great at offering suggestions with things that have worked for him in the past. The most important part of the wedding for us was keeping the dance floor moving, and boy did Scott deliver! We got plenty of compliments on the music selection and were very happy with how many people were dancing! Scott was great at reading the vibes of the room and we can't recommend him enough. Scott's pricing was incredibly competitive and we were very happy with having him as our DJ!

Great DJ for 2020 Wedding
Scott did a great job at our 2020 wedding. We had to postpone by a few months due to Covid restrictions and he was flexible enough to switch to the new date. We had some specific requests about how we wanted certain songs to be played and Scott accommodated all of them. We also had a particular vision for a cocktail hour that was "folk themed" with certain genres and artists and Scott did an amazing job with it. He also worked well with our day of coordinator to keep the event on schedule and guide us through various activities.

Scott dj’d our same sex Jewish wedding in Roseland, VA at Devils Backbone Brewery. He was wonderful. We barley followed his instructions that he provided long in advance and sent him a last minute spotify playlist with 10+ hours of music on it for a mere 4 hour reception and he still rocked the house. He also set up the audio for our ceremony and provided the wireless lapel mic and everything went off without Hitch. We couldn’t have been happier.

We cannot be more grateful to Scott for setting the tone of our wedding with an amazing selection of songs. He really understood the crowd and had us dancing all night.
We were nervous about the flow of the event, as we didn’t have a coordinator as we had a very low-key schedule, but Scott was 100% flawlessly on the timeline we had written up and talked through for the reception.

Scott is so helpful and easy to work with! He answers questions in a timely manner. He is able to start the party and keep it going, playing music to appeal to all ages! We had a great time, and are thankful that he was a part of our wedding day!

For our wedding, we wanted the dance floor to be going all night. Scott succeeded at doing that. He also found the obscure songs we wanted, was easy to work with, responsive, helpful, and got everything done without any difficulty.

Scott is very professional. He had many great ideas when I wasn't sure what songs to pick for certain parts of my ceremony. You can tell that he is very experienced. Also, it was clear during our reception that he enjoys what he does, he knew which songs to play to keep my guests dancing and to keep the flow of my reception smooth. I would highly reccomend him.

We were beyond happy with the services that Scott performed! We were looking for someone professional, yet fun. He kept the dance floor moving all night long! It was so important to my husband and I to find someone that can keep the dance floor moving but not be too loud or out there. Scott was awesome on all accounts of his performance. He met with me many times and always cleared up any questions about song choices/pronounciation of names to ensure that everything was perfectly how we wanted it to be. It was a beautiful night, and I'm so very thankful for Scott playing a part in that.

Scott was great! Before the event, he was really responsive to emails. He also sent a really great planning form that made it easy not to leave out any major parts of the reception. Then during the wedding, people were on the dance floor all night! He played a great variety of music that pleased young and "senior" guests alike. He's an all-around great DJ, and I'd recommend him to anyone.

We didn't even know where to begin our search for a DJ when my husband and I started planning our wedding. We found Scott thru theknot, and I am so glad we did! He is organized, professional, and easy going all in one. When he was unfamiliar with some songs we wanted played for our ceremony-- he walked us thru the necessary steps to send him a video that he could then convert into our desired song. Scott also played the best selection of music to get our guests on the dance floor, and stay there all night! We had many guests tell us how impressed they were with our selection-- thanks Scott!

Scott, from All About The Music, performed the music for both our ceremony and reception. He really listened to my non-traditional music desires and created the wedding of my dreams on the music side. He provides excellent services and makes things easy. Wedding planning is stressful and he helped to make things smoother. We were thankful to have found him. In short, he's helpful and easy going and made our wedding our dream come true.

The service that Scott provided was perfect. Communication was fast and timely. He asked questions when needed and was very flexible. He played the songs/artists that we requested and kept the party going all night long and even played an extra when the guests wanted more. I highly recommend using Scott for any of your DJ needs.

Scott did a great job at our [backyard] wedding. He was laid-back but professional, on-time, and even came a little bit early to set-up and accommodate our need for him to have his area all set up so there were no interruptions during our ceremony. Our wedding was non-traditional in areas and Scott was great about navigating the territory.

My husband and I were looking for an intuitive, professional, laid-back and flexible DJ for our ceremony and reception. Scott was all four! Even in our first meeting, we felt that we had found our DJ. He did a wonderful job with our outdoor ceremony including providing a microphone for our officiant. He did an amazing job getting our guests on the dance floor without seeming forceful, it felt very natural. He was polite, organized, punctual and able to adapt to our venue seamlessly. We would recommend his services for any event!

Scott provided ceremony and reception music for my wedding, and did an excellent job. He catered to my requests for the reception, but was ready to accommodate requests when the guests wanted to start dancing.

Scott was very professional, helped us create a great playlist, and make people dance for as long as possible. Worked very well with event coordinators, and was very kind. Scott did a wonderful job at our wedding. He was very detailed oriented, on time, and quick to respond. He even called me a few days before our wedding to go over everything one last time to make sure everything was right. The guests at our wedding were reluctant to get on the dance floor and he was able to get everyone up and dancing! I received a lot of compliments about him at the wedding from friends and family. I highly recommend Scott and would definitely use him again.

Scott did a great job. He was professional from the get go. He also followed up with us several times to make sure we got him the information he needed. We had a set music list and timeline we wanted and he worked well with that. Our ceremony music started a song or two late; but that may be that we didn't communicate well that we were ready to walk out. I think that's the only thing we should have gone through more thoroughly during our meeting with him. The music seemed like it could have been a drop louder; but that may be my personal preference. Scott showed up early, set up quickly and began playing pre-ceremony music early while guests arrived which was nice. He's very professional and checked with us first to make sure it was ok for him to take a few guest requests, which we were totally fine with. Overall he did a great job.

Scott was wonderful for our vow renewal at New Kent Winery! He was very understanding to the 5 changes my husband decided to make to our song list and always very prompt with his communication. We also had three separate spaces where we needed music set up and he accommodated our every need. Working at New Kent Winery, my husband and I have seen many DJs and we would by far recommend Scott over any of them! Thank you for your flexibility and hard work!
