Alison is amazing! I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to appreciating our wedding planner, Alison To The Altar!!! On a day that could have easily fallen apart because I was so sick, she became the calm, caring anchor holding everything together. Alison handled every need behind the scenes and ensured I did not have any added stressors. With total grace she handled details I couldn’t even think about in the moment. She pulled all my tiny details together without bringing any stress into my day. Our weekly phone calls leading up to the wedding also brought clarity and calmness to me during the wedding planning phase!
What meant the most was her genuine compassion — Alison didn’t just “do her job,” she checked in constantly, kept me comfortable, reassured my family, and still managed to execute the day flawlessly. Because of Alison, our wedding still felt magical, intentional, and full of joy. Sean and I are beyond grateful and truly could not imagine our day without her!

Alison is amazing! If you are planning a wedding on the Maryland Eastern Shore you want to hire her wedding coordination services! She helped us think through all the details during the wedding planning process, provided day of coordination to make sure all our vendors were arriving on time, ran our rehearsal, and put together the most beautiful bouquets, boutonnières, table arrangements, and alter flowers. Alison was amazing! We hired her for our wedding in Ocean City, MD on May 30, and I am so glad we did. From start to finish, we knew that Alison was the real deal. We first met her in her office in West O, and I could tell immediately that she was the right choice for us. She was knowledgeable and professional, yet laid back and easy to talk to. She made sure she was working to bring our vision to life every step of the way.
On the day of the wedding, Alison arrived with her team and wasted no time executing the wedding of our dreams. There were small hiccups, but she handled them effortlessly and kept me calm during stressful moments. From the vibrant ceremony decor to the classic and chic tablescapes in the reception area, everything was a 10 out of 10. As an Ocean City beach girly, it was important to me that I could see both my personality and my husband’s reflected in our wedding. It was everything we wanted, a beachy, bright, yet classically chic celebration that we will remember forever, and it was exactly that.
I highly recommend her to any bride looking for a seasoned planner who is familiar with the area, local venues, and vendors.

If I could give Alison more stars, I would!
I just had my wedding on June 7th, and Alison could not have done a more amazing job!! It rained, it poured, the sun came out, it was a wild day for weather and she never faltered and made sure I had the best day regardless of the weather!
Throughout the wedding planning process, Alison was extremely helpful and made sure my Type B butt stayed on track. There are so many things I would've missed if it hadn't been for her!
We had check-in calls throughout the process, she gave all sorts of amazing vendor/detail recommendations, we laughed and shared funny wedding experiences, and I never once felt uneasy about the wedding and how it would go after our check-in calls. Alison gave me so much confidence that our wedding would be perfect, and it was!
If you need someone to provide you with the best recommendations, a kick in the butt to stay on track, the confidence that your wedding will be perfect no matter what, and a friend to laugh and smile with, Alison is your coordinator!!

Alison made our day so much better! She was so friendly and easy to talk with throughout the months leading up to our wedding day. On the day of, she took care of everything. From setting up the entire room with decor rentals, to florals, to coordinating all the vendors--she took so much work off of our shoulders. I can not recommend her more! The BEST you can get!
I cannot recommend Alison and her team enough! From beginning to end she was responsive, organized, and so supportive. She researched to find the best vendors that fit our needs and budget, helped us navigate contracts, and gave us so many options. Alison was there for us in every shape, way, and form.
10 days before our original wedding date my mom passed away - the compassion she and her team had was incredible. She was kind and sensitive, and she helped us regroup and plan our elopement quickly. I seriously could not have asked for a better planner and support system for our big day. If you want your wedding planning to be a smooth, stress-free process, have Alison be your planner!!

I’m not great with multi tasking and I tend to procrastinate but Alison did such a great job taking the lead and making decisions for me when I had a tough time deciding! Alison came highly recommended and we were so lucky to be able to book her! From the start Alison and her team asked our vision and brought it to reality even better then we had imagined. Unfortunately on our wedding it decided to pour down rain, BUT that didn’t stop Alison and her team from making the most beautiful arrangements for a quick scramble to an indoor wedding which I can only imagine looked just a good as outdoors. We truly didn’t know what to do for planning and decorating and Alison took care of everything. Her communication was absolutely exceptional when it came to working with my parents. In fact my mother says she wishes she could have used Alison for her own wedding. I will be recommending Alison to The Alter to everyone. If you want 100/10 service and the most beautiful wedding of all time PLEASE call them you will not regret it!

My husband and I are so grateful to Alison for helping us plan this from across the country. My husband and I are Maryland natives but moved to the Washington State 4 years ago. We never got a chance to meet Alison face to face until two days before our ceremony. We were planning this for over a year and a half at that time. We were basically going in blind and taking a leap of faith with her. Alison has taking phone calls for us after her work hours because of the time difference of the East Coast and West Coast, to make sure if we had any questions she would be there to answer them! We are so grateful for her professionalism, care, being accommodating and her sweet demeanor! She is an extremely talented person with exquisite presentation. We also wanted to thank Ashley, who was there to help Alison set up the gorgeous centerpieces, decor for the chairs, and the Arbor. Ashley was such a sweetheart too and we greatly appreciate both of them for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!!! A need to hire for the big day
Alison to the Alter and her team were the best! I can be very type A with wanting to have oversight of everything, but they truly made the planning process and wedding day stress free. Stephanie was a huge help along the way answering so many of the phone calls and emails. The flower arrangements were absolutely breathtaking along with the entire set up of decor. I DIY'ed some of my decor and they even set all of that up for me. If you are planning a wedding in the OCMD area - they are not even a must hire they are a NEED to hire. I can not thank them enough for everything!

I booked Alison for florals and decor for our June 2023 beach wedding. Alison was responsive throughout the planning process anytime I question, and Stephanie was so helpful in assisting me with my vision for florals. The team helped accommodate requests I had, and were able to provide me with various floral options that helped fit my budget. I was blown away by how stunning my florals came out for my wedding day. Amazing!
I had the most beautiful beach wedding and I owe it to Alison to the Altar for making it a reality!! I recently got married (4/29/2023) and from the start, they crafted ideas with me about what I wanted my beach wedding to look like. Alison checked regularly in to make sure I was on track with my planning and made sure to answer any questions that I had. When I met Alison and Steph to look at the decor and flowers, they had everything ready to go and their ideas were incredible. Their creativity and how they make your vision a reality is nothing short of amazing. Finally, Alison to the Altar is truly a lifesaver. 30 days out from my wedding, on Friday afternoon nonetheless, my venue told me they could no longer do the food service. I was devasted and had no clue even where to begin, besides reaching out to Alison to Altar. I texted Steph & Alison that same day (about an hour later) they found a catering company who could do the wedding. (The catering company did an incredible job and our food was awesome!) I was so relieved - Alison and Steph will truly do anything to help you out. Finally, the day of wedding was perfect. The flowers were beautiful, and the decor was everything I wanted. The beach ceremony was stunning - it looked straight out of a magazine! Alison and Bridgitt coordinated the ceremony & reception and made sure everyone was where they needed to be at all times. They were so nice and I did not have to worry about anything! The whole day went perfectly and I literally whole it all to Alison to Altar's team. Not only are they professional, but the nicest people you'll ever meet. They are friendly, outgoing, and truly make sure your wedding will be the best day ever. I highly recommend Alison to the Altar as they literally saved my wedding and made it a dream come true!

Alison is literally an angel!! She is not only incredibly connected and just a beautiful person inside and out, but she really cares about YOU and YOUR day! She helped me so much beyond what I contracted her for because she’s just that amazing of a human. She kept me calm, fed, and made sure leading to and on the day of my wedding was perfect. The literal best planner
Alison & her team have been SOO involved, responsive, & on top of their A-game since I booked with them!! They brought my literal dream wedding vision to real life & I couldn’t have possibly been more happy with everything!!!! They did my entire ceremony, day of coordinating, all of the decorations, set up, tear down, ALL of my florals (centerpieces & bouquets etc) and even took the time for some extra surprise decor we didn’t know about. We found Alison to the altar on wedding wire, as soonest we spoke to them over the phone we knew they were the right fit to help us with day of coordination for our wedding day. Jen was perfect at orchestrating our perfect day. Great attention to detail all the way to the small details. She reached out to us weeks leading into our wedding and put all our vendors together to execute our perfect wedding. She made our wedding stress free and everything went smoothly.

Super wedding planner
We hired Alison and her team to help with planning, florals, and decorations for our son’s wedding. It was great having someone who was knowledgeable and familiar with the venues and vendors in the area. We would have never thought about the venue or the caterer we ultimately picked if Alison hadn’t recommended them. And they were both the best fit for us. It was nice to be able to go to her office so she can show you sample pieces and photos of decorations. It’s very convenient that she can do all your florals from bouquet to ceremony to tables and on top of that does a beautiful job. Her day of set up team were professional and accommodating. Alison made our whole wedding process very easy especially with her great communication. I would definitely recommend Alison to the Altar for anyone who is looking to have their wedding in Ocean City.

Awesome great with details
Our wedding went off without any issues. Alison and her assistants were there for every moment very professional team and hard working. Also appreciated all the recommendations for photos, cake and music. Job well done! We also want to thank the Cambria Hotel. They went over and beyond our expectations the food prepared for our rehearsal dinner our wedding buffet and Sunday brunch was delicious their employees were very curious and very responsive to our needs. Their attention to detail was over the top. From room service to bartending to food service etc. thanks to Marge the hotel event planner and her team.

The fairy godmothers of the wedding industry!
Alison and her team are truly the fairy godmothers of the wedding industry! I came to them with an idea of an elegant coastal wedding theme and they knocked it out the park. They were able to take the ideas in my head and bring my vision to life. Mind readers! They are brilliant designers, professional, timely, and so fun to work with! Alison to the Altar made my dream wedding come to life. I really wanted pampas grass down the aisle for my beach ceremony and they were able to make it look absolutely perfect! The pictures cannot even capture the extent of Alison and her team’s beautiful touch to our amazing day! After touring the Ocean Pines Yacht Club for our venue, Alison to the Altar was highly recommended. I was not that bride that knew exactly what she wanted. I gave Alison only a few ideas to work with but she was able to design and create such a lovely look for our bohemian beach themed wedding. All of the decor, details, florals, draping, and special touches were handled by Alison and her team. She was always available for questions and concerns and could connect me with all of the best services/vendors that she did not handle. She was available for our rehearsal, day of coordination and she syncs very well with Lia and the OPYC team. Alison is extremely experienced, professional and talented. You can be rest assured that she will be fully invested in your special day 😌☺️🤩🥰

We had our wedding at Dunes Manor hotel in 2021. Alison was great from the very beginning! Very professional and responsive and knows how to get things done. We had many discussions on what I was looking for in regards to our wedding and she made every step so easy. If there was something I didn’t know would look good, flowers for example, she had suggestions and I let her make those decisions and everything turned out beautiful. Everything went great and I didn’t have any worries the day of our wedding, Alison and her team took care of everything. I could not have been happier with the service and highly recommend Alison for your big day you won’t regret it!!

Very good experience!
I had my wedding ceremony on the beach of Fenwick island state park in Delaware with my reception at Holts Landing state park. I had a vision of a casual September beach wedding that was boho and fun! I wanted a 70s vibe with orange and yellow colors. And all of that came true with the help of my awesome wedding coordinator! I had a great experience! I used Alison to the Altar for my month of coordinator for my wedding! My coordinator was Caitlyn and she was amazing! She answered all my emails and went to my vendor meetings, always texted me back in a timely manner and helped make my vision come true! Alison and Caitlyn both listened to all my ideas and helped me to make it a reality! It was an amazing experience and my day was perfect!

Knowing that I had to trust in someone I didn’t know to plan/set up my wedding produced a lot of anxiety! Stephanie and the entire team at Alison to the Altar are INCREDIBLE and truly made my wedding the absolute perfect day! They are all so knowledgeable about every part of the process, have impeccable taste, and are also a joy to work with. Stephanie really took the time to get to know me and understand my style/vision and also what was important to me - and then she made everything a million times more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Our guests are still raving about how STUNNING the decor and florals were. Stephanie and the team designed and assembled the most incredible arrangements for our bouquets, arbor, centerpieces and more and the whole day looked like it was straight out of a magazine!
Most impressively, they made it seem so effortless when really I know how much effort, planning, and attention to detail went into every single thing behind the scenes. Stephanie, Alison and the whole team consistently went above and beyond to take care of me, and made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free for me.
I cannot recommend Stephanie and Alison to the Altar highly enough and will be sending all of my friends and family planning a wedding their way!

Magical Day
Our wedding experience was very unique and Alison and her team helped us make our vision come to life. With only two months to put a wedding together, due to a family illness, Alison exceeded our expectations and helped us achieve the dream wedding we had always hoped for. Alison is very knowledgeable and knows all the local vendors personally which was very helpful with our tight deadline. Alison to the Altar was highly recommended by every venue we visited in the area, so hiring her for our big day was a no-brainer. It's so obvious she has a ton of experience planning weddings and knows what she's doing, what works best, and what to avoid. We have felt lucky to have her expert opinion as we figured out how to bring our vision to life through florals, rentals, centerpieces, etc. She's been gracious and flexible as we've navigated COVID, and though we had to push back our larger reception to 2021, her team still did our bouquets and flowers for our 'minimony' in September and we were BLOWN AWAY! The flowers were gorgeous and even prettier than what I had envisioned, and her team went above and beyond in delivering to two separate locations and dealing with the chaos of the day. Alison was an amazing wedding planner! We would highly recommend her to everyone! Alison managed to plan a beautiful backup beach wedding in only three weeks due to COVID. She was extremely responsive and answered the phone immediately when I called/texted her at anytime. Alison made our dream wedding come to life. Alison made all our wedding dreams come true.
She helped us to find all our vendors (venue, photographer, bakery, DJ, horse carriage, shuttle). She listened our ideas and made professional recommendations to make our day unforgettable. The wedding vows were heartwarming and read professionally. She worked with us for our originally planned 100+ guests wedding which was postponed due COVID19. She kept contact with us during the uncertain times, refunded us the payment, and finally organized us a safe under 30 people beach wedding. She was such a pleasure to work with, she had an answer to every question we had, and she was very responsive. Also, Alison was very personable, so it felt like working with a friend. Alison to the Altar as a day of coordinator is a must have!
Alison to the Altar made all the stress and worries the day of the wedding go away because we used her as our day of coordinator. We knew she had it covered and she delivered on all fronts. We met with her ahead of time to go over the plan and she executed without a hitch. The decorations were set up perfectly and she made sure the ceremony and reception stuck to the timeline. She even made sure all other vendors were there on time and went behind them to make sure they were set up and on task. She even made sure the bride and groom ate plenty of food and always had a drink in hand. Furthermore she just handled all the "little things" that we didn't even consider or think about. She made this day for us because we knew we could count on her and we could focus on what was important and that was celebrating us and our new beginning. We are so grateful someone made this recommendation for us!

I can’t rave about Alison and her team enough! They were more than accommodating for our wedding and made it the most perfect day ever! The setup was so gorgeous it actually blew my mind! Alison and her staff are top notch! From my first phone call with Alison about 1 year ahead of my June 1, 2019 wedding I immediately felt comfortable with her. She is very easy to get along with and has lots of energy! She offered suggestions to create a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception for us. She and her team ( along with Veronika who does florals) made sure that every detail was attended to! Thank you Veronika! Your work is breathtaking! Alison was very attentive and quick in answering any questions or concerns I had during the process. She made suggestions on places to order favors etc from. If she did not hear from me...she would check in to see if I needed anything. She and her staff along with the staff from Hooper's made sure that our day was seamless. They made sure everyone was where they needed to be and that guests were directed when they arrived. I could not have pulled off our perfect day without Alison to Altar. You made my dream come true. The ceremony was so beautiful I had to hold back my tears of joy! Alison was so sensitive and in tune to our wishes. I felt like I had known her forever. Simple Easy & Eligant
We got married on 10/23/18 in Ocean City MD and planned a simple quaint wedding on wedding wire within 2 weeks. We found Alison to the Alter who was amazing!! Alison couldn’t of been more accommodating, she hooked us up with a fantastic photographer- Amanda from ARWhite Photography who took absolutely stunning pictures. Beautiful Flowers from “Flowers by Alison” In West Ocean City. Everything was perfect and exactly what we asked for.

Alison was fantastic to work with. We used her day of coordinating services for our wedding and couldn't be happier. She literally is a jack of all wedding trades. She led our rehearsal when our officiant was unavailable, she was there for every minute our of wedding day, set up/break down and whatever else she did behind the scenes to make our wedding day simply perfect. She has a curated list of wedding vendors to recommend and also a huge inventory of rentals. Do yourself a favor and hire her!

We used Alison for day of coordination and officiant services for our wedding in West OC on 9/22 and we can’t say enough great things about her and her team. She was so easy to work with and gave us lots of great ideas for both our ceremony and reception. We started working with Alison over a year before our wedding, she gave us a recommended vendor list (we used her chair vendor for the ceremony) and she checked in periodically throughout the year to see how the process was going. When the wedding got closer, we met in person to talk through what was done and what still needed to be done. The day before the wedding, we did a walk through with Alison at both our ceremony and reception sites. The day of Alison coordinated with our reception venue to decorate for the reception and made sure the ceremony chairs were setup correctly. She had a few other weddings going on the same day, so one of her assistants, Brittany, was the officiant for our ceremony and did a great job making sure the transition from the ceremony to the reception went smoothly. Thank you Alison and the Alison to the Altar team for helping us make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be! Highly recommend!

Alison personally helped to prepare us for our wedding and provided valuable insights for setting up and kicking off our beach wedding. Alison was able to provide photography, flowers, and officiant services for ceremony. Alison was very accessible regarding any questions via phone and email. Alison helped to keep everything in line and provide us timelines to ensure nothing fell by the wayside. Alison consulted my wife and I for all decisions and provided counsel based her experience to make the best decisions possible. Alison was very fun, caring, and great to work with. Alison's florist met our vision for flowers for reception centerpieces and flowers wore by members of the wedding party. The officiant and her photographer were great in the field and accommodated all requests we had. All in all, Alison to the Altar helped to meet our wedding vision and within our budget. Highly suggest hiring her company.

I wanted an extremely small private wedding of 4 guest, my groom and myself but Allison of "Allison to the Alter" took the time with my wedding, as if it was a $30,000+ budget wedding and gave us a million dollar experience. She was up most of the night worrying with me over Mother Nature.and started working back up plans around 4:30am just in case Nature continued to rare her head. She had everything filled and ready, I literally just had to show up. If you choose Allison to the Alter for your Wedding services, you won't be disappointed. Alison and her team are a must hire when having your wedding in Ocean City (or wherever!). I am out of town, and she was always willing to meet on the weekends to accommodate my schedule. Halfway through the planning process, I switched up my theme and most of the décor, and she instantly just switched gears and began to work on putting together the perfect wedding! She coordinated with the rental companies to get ceremony chairs, reception chairs, napkins, table cloths, the whole nine yards (mind you, we had about 200 people at this wedding). She went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect... just look at the pics (photo credit: Dana Marie Photography- another highly recommended vendor in OC)! She also did a fantastic job at officiating our ceremony. The wine unity part of the ceremony was very important to us, and she nailed it!! The entire ceremony was flawless, and she worked perfectly with all of my other vendors. I knew going into the weekend I was in good hands, and that I didn't need to worry about a thing. We would not have wanted anyone else for the job!

I knew from the moment we met Alison we were in good hands and we would not have to worry about a thing. This day turned out to be everything we didnt expect! We were planning for an outdoor ceremony overlooking the beach and mother nature had different plans.
We quickly had to decide on a plan B which turned out to be just as if not more so beautiful than our original plan A
