Wow!

Yes, Alison was our photographer, but she was so much more than that. She was so easy to work with and so fun to be around that we convinced a friend to have her as their photographer so we can see her again!

Alison was the first person we met with when we began to plan our wedding. She really laid the groundwork for us. Because she has been involved in so many weddings, she helped us plan the timetable for the entire wedding day. She planned it in such a way that the photos taken during the actual wedding day were not rushed or stressful at all.

Throughout the wedding day, she kept supplying us with great ideas that resulted in gorgeous wedding photos. But the best part: she is fun to be around. Think about it. Your photographer will share your "First Look" moment with you. Your photographer may be the single person you see most during the day, besides your bride/groom. Both of us enjoyed her laid-back style and good attitude.

For the finished product, we received COUNTLESS photos via Dropbox. It was so great that she gave us such an extensive number of photos so that we could pick which ones we like best, since everyone has a different taste. The rights to the pictures were included, which means we have had lots of fun on Shutterfly over the past few months, too!

The quality of the photos are wonderful and the styles are varied. Some close, some far, some candid, some posed. We are extremely happy with the finished product.

If you have a summer wedding, book fast--she fills up!

We hired Ali to do newborn photos when we had our first child (three years ago), and we've signed up for photos with her twice a year since then. Ali is a very talented photographer, and her photos are always beautifully composed. But the thing I love the best is that she is just so easy to work with - from a weeks-old baby, to toddlers, to parents and grandparents, she's just great at making everyone feel comfortable and catching them at their best. I love that her photos never look forced - they look so natural, really capturing the personalities of the people that she is photographing.

Alison Lea is an incredible photographer! Not only does she get the most natural and beautiful shots, but she also makes you feel extremely comfortable and makes the photos fun! If you are looking to get a second shooter, ask if Tasha is available. She was absolutely amazing as well and helped organize our photo list on our wedding day and get the details shots. We are so thankful we went with Alison Lea!

I am so happy Alison was part of our wedding weekend, she is an amazing photographer!! Our wedding was a destination wedding and she was willing to fly out and capture our weekend. The photos are STUNNING!! Alison really captured the whole feel of the wedding and location. She is so easy to work with. From the set up of our engagement session to finalizing details for the wedding weekend, we had a very easy time communicating and setting things up. Thank you for capturing our wedding day!!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Alison and her professionalism, ability, photographic eye, enthusiasm and humor (to name just a few). During the big day, Alison and her fantastic assistant were relaxed, on top of everything, and truly made our family, wedding party and guests feel at ease. They took amazing pictures of everything we were hoping for, and the candids were perfect! We would most definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a phenominal photographer. You will not be disappointed!

I loved Alison's work! In fact, my husband and I liked her work so much, we have her to our anniversary shots every year. Her photos are wonderful and unique. She has creative ideas and is easy to work with. I couldn't think more highly of her. She's the best.

Alison and her crew did a wonderful job for us both at our Grooms dinner and on our wedding day. Not only was she able to photograph the "formal" pictures in a way that was not stiff or unnatural, she also caught our friends and family in wonderful candid moments, and truly captured the emotion of the weekend. She was fun to work with, and kept us laughing.

I will absolutely use her again in the future for family photos and other important events.

It was a true pleasure working with Alison on our special day. In addition to her lovely photos, Alison was a joy to be around on the big day, jumping in whenever help was needed. Alison Lea Photography went above and beyond! Alison was the main shooter and Will & Kendra were the second shooters. We felt super special having so many photographers being a part of our big day. They were all so creative and willing to roll with our ideas, but also add their own! What a creative, fun flair to their work!

We loved Alison and her assistant, Kendra! They were friendly and positive, and really took part in our special day... the only thing I wish was different is that we could get the copy right to our proofs after a year, I hear this is pretty common now. But overall we had a wonderful experience!

Always keep your documents that you and your vendors agreed on. Sometimes they forget what you had decided and this will clear up any confusion. Keep a folder and a large plastic bin to put everything wedding in. You will always know where to go to find your wedding papers or ideas.

The engagement pictures were great, and included in the package, but the wedding day pictures were a little dissapointing. We didn't get all the pictures with all the relatives we were hoping for, despite filling out a list that was provided. The photographers wanted to take pictures outside in natural light, but it was march and everything wa brown and dead, so those pictures weren't very nice. She has talent, and her pictures look great, ours just weren't.

Missed Opportunity

I paid $375 for a one-hour photo session and told Alison my priority was a family photo. She offered one pose of us. Thank goodness my daughter suggested another as the 1st pose was horrible. She rushed the session, finished 20 minutes early and then asked for $800 more for individual poses we didn't ask for! We couldn't see what the camera captured. Uneven poses, hands behind the back instead of in pockets, necklaces wonky, bodices gapping in awkward places, people not looking at the camera, etc., etc. So disappointing and the opportunity for a family photo for a 50th wedding anniversary is gone.
