Engagement Photoshoot
My fiancé and I did our engagement shoot with Alicia. She was recommended to us by a friend, who had nothing but wonderful things to say about her experience having Alicia do both her engagement and wedding photography. Alicia most definitely lived up the hype and only exceeded our expectations! She was fantastic to work with, both during the scheduling/planning process and during the shoot itself. We absolutely LOVE our engagement photos and know we will treasure them forever! I cannot recommend Alicia enough! -

Engagement photoshoot
Alicia is amazing, she is a true professional and its obvious that she loves her job. My fiance and I were so nervous about not knowing how to pose or what to do. Alicia walked us through the shoot step by step from beginning to end and made us feel so comfortable. The photos came out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. I would 100% recommend her and we already have to another couple we know who will be shooting with her this spring. We will have fond memories of this shoot for the rest of our lives, we cant wait to get our photos printed. -

We cannot recommend Alicia enough! Her photography style is absolutely beautiful and she has a real gift for capturing moments and turning them into works of art. From start to finish, Alicia was professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.
On the day of the wedding, Alicia was an absolute pro. She was able to guide us into poses and direct our large wedding party and families with grace and ease. She made everyone feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera, which really shows in the final result. The photos she took are truly stunning and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out.
Alicia's talent and experience really shine through in her work. She has an incredible eye for detail and is able to capture the beauty of every moment in a way that is truly special. It's clear that she loves what she does and takes great pride in her work.
In addition to her talent, Alicia was also incredibly fast. We received our photos in less than 2 weeks after the wedding, which is truly unheard of! It was such a relief to have our photos back so quickly and to be able to relive the day all over again.
Overall, we cannot recommend Alicia enough. She is a true professional and a gifted photographer. Thank you so much, Alicia, for everything you did to make our wedding day so special!! We will treasure the photos you took for years to come!! -

Amazing Experience Start to Finish!
Working with Alicia for our engagement pictures was a dream come true. Alicia came highly recommended from several friends and she exceeded our (already high) expectations! She was so responsive, prompt and just a complete blast to be around during our session. Our pictures are incredible and something we will treasure forever! -

Alicia is amazing!!!!
Hiring Alicia as our photographer was the single best decision I made for our wedding day (aside from my choice in husband!). I had carefully researched top photographers in the DMV and fell absolutely in love with Alicia’s portfolio. I reached out to her less than two weeks before mine and my husband’s elopement. She was the only photographer I reached out to and the only one I wanted -- I just prayed she would be available. Fortunately, she responded quickly and told me she would be thrilled to be a part of our big day. She asked thoughtful questions to prepare and came to our house early the day-of, scouting out photo locations, setting up various details I hadn’t even thought of (a beautiful hanger for my dress, a beautiful box for our rings, etc.), and even helped me to finish getting ready. The photos from our day turned out so much better than I could have ever hoped. Neither my husband nor I typically enjoy having our picture taken, and neither of us tend to be very photogenic. Yet somehow, Alicia’s photos are exquisite. They capture our day, our love, our details, our home, and that gorgeous fall day perfectly. Alicia has such an elevated artistic eye, yet also a classic quality that ensures her shots are timeless. I will cherish these photos forever, and they mean more to me than I can easily put into words. I’ve also received more compliments on our wedding photos than I have on pretty much anything in my life. Alicia was also such a joy to work with. I think especially for an elopement, it is important to have a photographer you like and feel really comfortable with (since it’s pretty much just the three of you!). Alicia was so incredibly kind, excited for us, and helped us to relax and be natural but also to find our best angles and the best shots.
In short, I couldn’t say enough good things about Alicia, and couldn’t recommend her more highly as a photographer.

Excellent choice for our intimate wedding!
My husband and I got married in September 2022, and had Alicia as our wedding photographer. We wanted to be more involved in the planning process and didn't hire a wedding planner, since we had an intimate wedding and wanted everything to feel more personal. Looking back now, I'm so glad we were able to book Alicia!! She was very helpful from the start, and helped us organize our timeline, answer our concerns on timing, lighting, setting, etc. Working with a few other wedding vendors, Alicia was definitely the most responsive of them all. She also made the album creation process very smooth and quick.
Needless to say, her work is also among the best in DC. We were looking for a style that was airy, natural, not too crazy on filters and still timeless. The final results matched exactly what we were looking for, and all of our guests had commented on how good the pictures turned out. Highly recommend her! -

Alicia was the best choice for my bridal portraits at the National Cathedral in DC. She was extremely responsive, easy to contact, and was incredible to work with. She made me feel at ease from the moment we met, and the photos she captured were priceless. I would not hesitate to hire her again! -

Alicia was my favorite to work with! She answered my questions leading up to the session and I sent her a bunch of different outfits (probably an abnormal amount, but she accommodated and supported me the whole way)! Jeff and I had such a fun time taking the pictures with her - we had never had professional pictures done and she helped us figure out poses, captured our natural love, and made us feel genuine! -

My fiancee and I reached out to Alicia for a Cherry Blossom engagement shoot. Alicia was experienced and knowledgeable shooting the tidal basin, flexible to make sure we got the peak bloom, and calm and fun to work with, especially given the crowds.
She is quick and complete in her communications, and she takes time to get to know you as a couple to help her direct the shoot. Absolutely flawless experience from start to finish. -

Alicia was such a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive to emails and even helped out with trying to figure out outfits that would work best for our engagement photoshoot. She made sure that my now-husband and I were at ease with taking photos during our engagement shoot. Our engagement photos were beautiful and we received so many compliments from our loved ones. Since that day, we knew we were in great hands for our wedding day.
Alicia was amazing on the day of our wedding. She made sure that we stayed on track with our schedule to take all of our couples' portraits, as well as portraits with family and guests. We were so surprised by how quickly she got all of our wedding photos back. They were breathtaking, and she even supported us with designing our wedding album. Our family and friends rave about how beautiful the photos came out.

When my husband and I decided to elope on his parent’s 50th wedding anniversary last year, Alicia was the first of only two people that we called to help us the day of (and it was the best decision we made!). After reviewing Jonathon’s top ten picks for wedding photographers in the DC area, Alicia was by far my favorite. I noticed she has a talent for capturing details that are typically overlooked by other photographers—things that brides-to-be spend forever deciding on, things that would otherwise go unnoticed (e.g., delicate dress details, accessories, vow booklets). She’s also fantastic at capturing the venue(s) you’ve selected for your special day and has a keen eye for composition. Our private, sunrise elopement was held at the DC War Memorial, so we visited several iconic locations beforehand and she captured the essence of the morning exactly how I had hoped, with close-ups, standard, distant, and very distant shots of us, as well as photos without us even in them to capture what we saw and experienced, not just what we looked like. Alicia was our only witness as we exchanged our vows, but thanks to her, we had fun and our friends and family have incredibly beautiful and precious memories of our marriage. -

From the very beginning, Alicia was an absolute joy to know and work with.
It’s no exaggeration to say that one of the things I felt the most anxious about when it came to getting engaged and married was the photography— my now-husband and I are both very nervous in front of the camera, and even thought about just forgoing photography to help us feel less stressed!
But as soon as we met Alicia we felt so at ease, and so happy we didn’t make that silly choice. Alicia exudes warmth, kindness, and support, and gave us such helpful guidance at every step of the way! We were completely blown away by our engagement photos, and I am sure will feel the same about our wedding photos.
We always had tremendous faith that Alicia could wrangle our guests (whether it was 125 people, as in our original wedding plan, or the 8 guests who joined us when we scaled back our celebration due to COVID) and make sure everyone had beautiful photos taken— and everyone was in awe of her efficiency and helpfulness from the moment she arrived at our wedding location to the final shots at the end of the day. She is masterful at keeping things moving all while making sure spirits are high and fun is front and center— it’s a sight to behold!
I cannot possibly recommend Alicia enough, and trust that ANY couple will be equally blown away by her incredible work should they also choose her to capture their special moment!

Best choice ever!
After my husband and I set a date to be married, Alicia was the next decision we made and she was by far the best thing about our wedding. Other than being the nicest person in the world, she is an AMAZING photographer. Beginning with our engagement photos, I have received so many compliments on the quality of our photos and I am always quick to sing Alicia's praises. Her eye is immaculate and she truly captures the beauty in her work. She also goes above and beyond for customers. From sending little gifts as the big day approaches, to happily giving advice on other vendors, to her turn around time (full gallery edited only 2 weeks after the wedding...unreal), she is a star and she always makes you feel like the most important person in the room. We have already recommended her to friends getting married in the DC area (and even those who are not) and we can't wait to work with her again in the future! Oh, I also would be remiss if I forgot to mention that she shot our engagement photos outside in December, in Chicago for over four hours with a smile on her face the entire time. She is just the best. Hire her for your wedding and you will NOT regret it! -

Alicia made this experience for me and my fiancé as easy as possible. I was living in Texas at the time and she was very flexible in helping me schedule an engagement session with changing flights. She is very prompt in returning emails and is very informative about every aspect of this process. She is extremely detail oriented and listens very well to her clients needs. On the day of the session she was very professional and knew exactly where to go and what to do when it came to positioning. She also made it so fun and enjoyable!
