  Alex was a fantastic photographer. She was very easy to talk to, get in contact, and plan with. On our day of, everything flowed with ease. She was able to accommodate all of our needs with no problem, and made sure our day was special. She also shot our engagement photos. I was unsure where I wanted my photos to be and she came up with excellent ideas and took the initiative with the shoot, which is what I needed being as indecisive as I am. I would recommend Alex to anyone, and I already have. Her photos come out great, and everybody was so happy with the end result. She knows just the right angles, times of day, and poses to make everything look easy and not forced. Alex is also very reasonably priced. She is willing to work with your budget, and get you everything you need. I would definitely use her again for any other photo shoots I may want in the future.

  I freaking love Alex!! She did my sister's wedding and I had no doubts I wanted her to do mine. She has great insight and catches lots of moments that might get missed. She is just so quick on the draw! She is also very good at blending in. At my bother-in-laws wedding his photographer was very noticeable, and just kinda didnt make an effort to blend in. I swear he though he was some photographer of rock stars. I found that there is a balance between getting the shot and being part of the crowd.
  Alex really saved our timeline for photos, she made things happen that I was worried would not work out. I cannot say enough about her!

  Alex was great. She was very personable and made my husband and I feel very comfortable. I shared photo "poses/ideas" that I loved and she created them. Our pictures came out just as I hoped!

  Alex truly made our wedding unforgettable. We were fortunate to work with Alex for our engagement pictures before the wedding, she actually flew up to the bay area to take the pictures where we met and fell in love. We knew we chose the right photographer from that first photo session, she was so easy going, and made 2 non-picture loving people, have so much fun with the photo shoot.
  
  The wedding was even more amazing. Every single shot was better than the next. Alex got us our pictures within a pretty quick time period. I highly recommend having Alex as your wedding photographer!

  Alex Oat Photography did our wedding and Engagement Session. I still haven't received my wedding pictures because its only been 2 weeks since our wedding but if the engagement session is any indication of what our wedding pictures will look like, then I'm not worried. Alex has THE eye! She's an amazing, down to earth photographer who makes it easy and puts you at ease , makes you feel beautiful and special on your wedding day. She was on time and had an assistant with her that was just as easy going and kept shooting every moment. I cannot wait to see the pictures.

  Alexandra Oat photography exceeded my expectations. She is so easy to work with and really listens to what you want captured on your wedding day. My husband Paul and I got married at the Scripps Seaside Forum and we got ready at the Colonial hotel. At the hotel, she captured some great shots of myself and my bridesmaids and a terrific groomsman shots out front. She is extremely professional, yet makes you feel like you are lifelong friends. Alex definitely has an eye for different, artistic shots which stand out from other pictures taken. I also feel like she took pictures of me at certain angles, light, etc. that made me look good (which we all want as a bride!) At the ceremony, she used a Fisheye that really did the venue justice. The Forum is right on the ocean, and Alex really captured the venue and ceremony in one shot - which I really didn't think could be done! We also got some fun shots of the entire wedding party which were so creative and different from everyday posed pictures. I highly recommend Alexandra Oat Photography for any bride's to be out there. She not only put my wedding day at ease, she documented all of the memories for me in a more beautiful way than I could have imagined. THANK YOU ALEX!

  Our Photos we're beautiful Alex was great to work with and and willing to work with you to adjust packages since our wedding was smaller we just wanted a single photographer and she had no problem adjusting to our needs. I've already recommended her to others.

  My wife and I were married in beautiful downtown San Diego on October 2013. Our wedding venue was very unique and we were looking for a photographer that could capture the essence of our wedding and the downtown vibe that we both love so much...not to mention work around the weird angles and tight space constraints of the venue. Alex Oat was recommended by our wedding venue. We browsed her portfolio online and decided her style was what we were looking for. Within minutes of our first face to face meeting, my wife and I knew Alex was the best fit for us. She was very approachable, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable and professional about photography in general. We scheduled a trial run with our engagement photos to see how Alex worked in person. We were blown away with the creativity and quality of the photographs that she captured and very excited for the wedding day!

  Alex is a great up and coming photographer. We did not have a lot to spend on photography, and we think Alex's prices are very very reasonable. She took hundreds of engagement photos, and probably a thousand wedding pics. She came to our wedding with a second photographer as well. She's very engaging, personable, vivacious, and friendly. Alex and her assistant came on time, and were on top of everything. She was also very flexible on the wedding day--I had originally thought I wanted pictures with my husband before the ceremony, but when I decided not to, she was very easy to do other photos. And she could handle ALL the family!
  She also got our wedding pics online in about 4 weeks. Pretty fast turnaround.
  I did wish she was a bit better with email communication, particularly in the months before the wedding. However, I do admit I am pretty psycho about email, so if you are someone a little more laid back about response times, she's perfect for you! Also, as the wedding got closer, and afterward, she was very responsive. So it was probably me being high strung about the email.....
  
  Overall, she was great. It was really fun to re-live my wedding through the photos.
