Amazing photos and very personable!

First off, Thank you so much!!. Alex was amazing from the start of the ceremony to the end of the reception. I contacted Alex and spoke with him directly which was great to begin with. He was very professional, flexible and made it so easy to work with him. He knew exactly what would make our photos look good and gave us direction so that we could have the best photos. He was also very quick with responses via email especially when it got closer to the wedding date which lessened the stress for us. We also have a three year old daughter that did not want to take pictures that day (lol) but Alex still found a way to give us photos capturing her and us together. Alex captured some great family moments and just overall really exceeded our expectations. After it all, My husband and I both agreed, we were so happy choosing him. The photos were emailed to us about a week after the wedding which was great because we were just getting back to things after the honeymoon. So it was perfect timing for us. Thank you so much Alex for being our photographer! We look forward to recommending you to our friends.

Working with Alex Kaplan photo and video was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From start to finish, they made us feel so comfortable and cared for. They captured every detail so beautifully from the emotional moments to the joyful in-between ones we didn’t even realize were happening.

Bride tip: have a picture list and someone that is not your maid of honor make help gather those you want photographed. Your maid of honor has too many other things she’s keeping track of. Assign someone else to help.

An amazing day

The team was amazing! They were professional, kind, and efficient. They helped me get all the shots I wanted and we were able to be ahead of schedule so I could enjoy my day and be present with my guests! On 8.30.2024 we had photography & videography services from Alex Kaplan and his team for our wedding. As someone who hates being in front of the camera I was extremely nervous with how the experience would be. Immediately Alex and his team made us feel comfortable and all the photo shots felt natural. They did a great job with the portrait shots and especially capturing the night through the candid photos. We have received so many compliments from our friends & family about the team during the wedding. We were all especially impressed with the turnaround time and quality of the photos!

Camp wedding

Alex & his team did our photos for our camp wedding a few weeks ago which included our puppy and they did an amazing job! They captured the cutest photos of our puppy looking at the camera and made her 100% involved like we wanted! They captured the best candid photos of everyone having an amazing time and of us when we did not even know they were taking photos. We have had so many guests reach out to us about how amazing the photos were because we already got them back so quickly! We did not have to wait months like most companies make you wait. No matter where we asked to take a photo on the large campground they were always 100% supportive and there to capture the moment! They even came prepared with a sewing kit which came in handy to stitch up the grooms pants! Alex and his team made us feel very comfortable when taking photos and natural none of those crazy poses that make you feel awkward. I highly recommend using them for any of your photography needs you will not be disappointed!

Wedding pictures for a life time

It has been 9 months since our wedding but life has been busy and we have not had the time to write a review. Our wedding pictures from June 3, 2023 were amazing and we could have not been happier with them. Alex and the whole team is very easy to work with and has captured the whole day perfectly down to little details. Everyone still compliments our pictures and how beautifully they came out. We will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives. Alex’s team also took our wedding video and we couldn’t have been happier with it. It captures the whole day so well that we can’t wait to show it to our children one day. If you are looking for a photographer; we definitely recommend Alex 100% and you won’t be disappointed!

11.19.23 Morristown

Photographer/videographer - Alex Kaplan Photo and Video- 10/10 - another underrated vendor that I don’t see on the bride fb groups as much!! Alex was our photographer along with Valentina, and Harold was our videographer. Alex and Harold were with me and the girls for getting ready pictures and were both super kind and helpful. I had made an extensive shot list that I later did cut down a bit but they had it on their phones and any that we skipped they double checked with me first! We were also given an eta for photo and video that was in January 2024 but we ended up getting our photos back on November 30! We received both a Dropbox link to download the high quality files and a gallery link that we were able to share. We are looking forward to getting the video as well! We also asked for (and received within a day) all of the outtakes that weren’t in the gallery at no extra charge. I’m glad we asked because there were some great pictures in that batch, but totally understand that they can’t put everything in a gallery! Update: We also just got our video and were very happy with it!

Amazing wedding photographer

My husband and I booked Alex and his team to shoot our wedding in November 2023 - they were wonderful to work with and did an amazing job! Alex and his team were very communicative and professional as well as personable and punctual throughout the entire process. My husband and I never took professional photos together before and he made us feel comfortable and at ease during the day. He accommodated our tight and chaotic schedule the day of the wedding and managed to get beautiful and unique shots at every location. Our photos were delivered within a week too! Our bridal party and guests made it a point to tell us the photos as well as Alex and his team were great! We would highly recommend working with Alex for a wedding as well as any other milestone or celebration!

Brides- Check Photography Off Your List with Alex Kaplan!!

I am thrilled to be able to write a review for Alex and his team! We were married on 9/29 in Middletown, NY. We worked with Alex, one of his assistants, and Harold. Alex came to the Airbnb I was staying at with my mom, three bridesmaids, father, nephew and grandmother. There, we took get ready photos. Harold went to my husband's Airbnb to take get ready photos. We all met up at the venue in the afternoon for the ceremony/reception. First of all... I really have to comment on how professional Alex and his team were. They were punctual, flexible, and totally personable! They fit right in on the morning of the wedding amidst the chaos of all the girls getting ready. Alex and his assistant were so incredibly sweet, considerate, and CALM. They asked me what music I'd like to hear which was such a lovely touch and instantly soothed me. They captured such special moments between my family, never pushed anyone to move faster, and were so great with my three-year-old nephew! And Harold, oh my gosh. So wonderful. The boys raved about him. He was so good at pumping the guys up and making them feel confident for their photos and it shows!! They had such a great time with Harold. When I met Harold at the venue, I could totally see why! He has this ability to command the room (come on, SO hard to do at a wedding) to get all the priority shots, but when those are checked off, flips the switch to party time and is back pumping everyone up! There just aren't even enough words to express how grateful we are to Alex and his team. They were so attentive, making sure my husband and I had snacks and drinks during downtimes. They were so good with my nephew (who had multiple meltdowns during shots but they were able to somehow get that kid to smile)! I know I already mentioned this, but I am just so impressed with how supportive the team was and not pushy... I was dead set on not doing a first look and Alex and his team supported this decision completely even when other people tried to talk me out of it. I just have to say that even if our pictures were terrible, I would still give Alex and his team a 5 star review just because we enjoyed them so much!! But our pictures were AMAZING! I have such incredible, candid photos of everyone. On the day I just kept saying, "All I need is one really great picture," but they are all truly fabulous. The booth operator was also incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. It added a dynamic and interactive element to the event that was loved by all. Amazing Experience

Beautiful photos and sweet videos!

My husband and I were impressed with the results of our engagement photo shoot with Alex Kaplan about a year before our wedding, and we were equally pleased with the photos and videos from our wedding in June 2022. The team made sure all of the details were set well in advance of the day, and everything went smoothly with Alex, the second photographer, and both videographers. They made sure to capture all of the poses and locations we wanted throughout the day. The photos arrived quickly after the wedding and showcased our amazing day beautifully. The videos were worth the wait, though it took an extra month beyond the original due date to receive both the highlight video and longer video. We also received a print on photo paper instead of the canvas we ordered, but they quickly fixed the mistake. Especially given the reasonable pricing, we definitely would recommend Alex Kaplan to other couples in the area.

Great experience with our proposal photoshoot

I booked Alex Kaplan for my surprise proposal photoshoot.

He was very communicative before the shoot, and on the day of the shoot, he was very discreet and was able to find a hiding spot to capture our special moment.

We were very pleased with Alex’s genuineness, professionalism and creativity. This was our first time being photographed and Alex made it a fun and comfortable experience. He had so many fun ideas for shots, and overall we loved the results!! Weeks later and we can’t stop looking at those shots.

Also the turnaround for our pictures was very quick- got them back in less than a week. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing service!

We hired Alex to do our wedding in May. The package we decided on included engagement photo session as well. Alex and his team was great to coordinate with. The engagement session was really amazing and special. Alex kept things light, fun, and not rushed. He took his time, helping to capture the right pictures and poses. He also got along great with my husband, and made it more enjoyable for him. This carried over right into the wedding. Alex was always calm, and made sure the pictures we wanted he got. Even with the craziness of the day, and unplanned twists and turns, Alex and his team captured the day. I have recommended Alex to multiple couples we know and they booked because of how great the experience was for us. Alex is a great person, and his team and himself were just great to work with. Amazing Wedding Photographer

I love my wedding photos so much! Alex was amazing to work with. He listened to all of our requests. I wanted photographs in front of my late grandfathers vintage truck and Alex was able to accommodate and the photographs look amazing. My husband and I could not be happier. Alex was punctual and very professional. He was also very quick to respond to questions/requests after we received the link to our photograph gallery. I would highly recommend Alex Kaplan to others if they are looking for an amazing photographer at a reasonable price.

Professional, Great Staff

Our photographer was wonderful and so personable- that aspect of hiring this company was great. She was also non-intrusive when the ceremony/reception started, and made sure to get fun pictures of all the guests which I very much appreciated. Very professional too. I have to compliment the photographer's wonderful personality and note that she worked really hard. She was not invasive and I had the best night ever. I really didn't love the pictures of myself and my best pictures were captured from be best friend, but the photographer captured so many candid ones of myself and so many guests that I appreciated it.

Simply the best photography team

Alex and his team were absolutely amazing photographers at our wedding. I highly recommend Alex Kaplan as he was so patient, professional, personable, flexible and knew every single candid and posed picture to take. Alex made me, the Bride, feel so confident that I did not need to worry about one single pic being missed. I did not need to chase him down; one photographer was with me the entire day/night capturing those pictures that you were not expecting to see. Hard to believe that photographers can be the team coming a Bride down but they succeeded in even doing that!! My MOH was running a little behind for the photos in our Bridal suite and he was so calming and simply said, ‘no problem, take your time’, and that’s rare especially when following a very specific timeline.I have had several guests ask for Alex’s contact information and I am still hearing rants and raves about them, 2 months later. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best Photography company to hire. Very reasonably priced too! I hired Alex Kaplan for our photo booth which was incredible. I had a backdrop designed and they happily set it up and even made sure I had the exact props for our celebration. My only negative was that I should have hired them for more than 8 hours - but that was my fault. My photos are just breathtaking…THANK YOU TO THE ALEX KAPLAN PHOTOGRAPHY TEAM!! We will be calling for professional photos in the future!!

Couldn’t be happier!

Alex is awesome. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. He captured all the moments and emotions of our wedding perfectly. When we look back at the pictures, we feel like we are re-living the evening all over again! He is very professional, efficient, and helpful even when things can feel a bit hectic on the big day. Wedding Photograph

We found Alex Kaplan through the venue's recommended list. And let me just say it was the best decision. We were looking at some other photography companies, but they were way out of our budget. Alex Kaplan was within our budget and they offered a discount, plus we Zoomed with Alex himself and he didn't even try to BS us or get us to pay for more services. The entire process was painless. Payment was easy, through Venmo, and I was given a questionnaire to fill out throughout the time frame. We got Frank as our photographer and he was super chill. He was also a professional and told us how to stand and pose. He was really nice to talk to as well. The nice thing was since getting ready only took about 15min, so we got some of our photos done before the ceremony. The whole ordeal went well. I highly recommend Alex Kaplan Photography for any of your photography needs

Alex Kaplan is an amazing photographer

We had our engagement pictures last week with Alex and we could have not been happier. Alex is very easy to work with and has made me and my fiancé very comfortable. We were both a little nervous about the pictures but we ended up laughing the whole time and have so many beautiful pictures that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. If you are looking for a photographer; we definitely recommend Alex 100%! We cannot wait for our wedding and see how amazing those pictures are going to turn out as I know they will be amazing judging by the engagement pictures.

Absolutely Amazing!

Where do we even start?! Alex and his team are absolutely amazing! We could not be happier with our choice. They are professional, and literally capture EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT! Going through the photos, it looks like they were in so many places at once - we don't even know how they did it. Their turnaround on the photos after the wedding was SO QUICK, our guests were impressed when we shared their photos with them! The only problem is - we have SO MANY FAVORITES, we don't even know where to start with choosing which ones to print!

If you can, definitely pay to secure Alex as your photographer, and get that engagement session beforehand. It helped break the ice, and gave us peace of mind that we were confident with our photography choice going into the wedding. We're normally super awkward in front of the camera, so it also gave us some practice before the big day!

Outstanding Team

Jasmin our photographer and the team at Alex Kaplan were outstanding. They were extremely flexible with respect to rescheduling after we postponed our wedding due to Covid. Jasmin arrived promptly the day of and took beautiful posed and candid photos. She offered her own suggestions while still prioritizing the pictures we requested. Two weeks after the wedding, the photos were delivered promptly via dropbox. She was a delight to work with and we would absolutely hire them again in the future.

Best photos ever!

We met Alex Kaplan this past Thursday, and we had such a fantastic time! Alex was so down to earth and fun. Engagement photos

Where do I even begin… we booked Alex for our wedding and added on the engagement session. We met with Alex yesterday for our engagement session and he was SO incredibly nice and felt like a life long friend. My Fiancé and I are awkward in front of cameras (as most couples would say about themselves) but you wouldn’t know it by looking at our photos! Alex knew exactly how to pose us and what to say to make us giggle which resulted in some beautiful candid laughing and smiling shots. Neither my fiancé nor myself have ever gotten photographed before and Alex was great at telling us what to do and how to pose to make it look natural. I was super nervous to get the pictures because I was afraid we were awkward looking but no OMG they came out absolutely perfect and so beautiful. We felt like he captured the very essence of our relationship and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with our pictures. I’m literally SO excited for him to capture our wedding day. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!!

Fantastic, professional experience at our big day!

My wife & I can't say enough good things about Alex and his team. They were so professional, friendly & thorough throughout the whole process-from planning to meeting them in person at our big day to working with you them during it all! Plus their prices are unbeatable too (especially compared to other photography companies)!

If anyone wants an amazing photo or video taken then I definitely recommend using this company because they really do take care of everything; their speed with the final photos & videos was the icing on the cake, they came earlier than expected and each was excellent so there was no deleting tens or hundreds of photos that had someone blinking or making a funny face. We appreciate the professionalism and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I love my wedding photos so much!

We hired Alex for our wedding and he and his second photographer Jasmine were amazing! They captured our wedding day absolutely beautifully, and then got the pictures to us a couple days later which was impressive. Jasmine even helped pin on all the guys (and some of the girls) flowers because they needed help doing it correctly. They captured so many beautiful moments and were not distracting during the ceremony etc. Also, they were respectful of our time-frame and getting formal portraits done with enough time that my husband and I could enjoy most of our cocktail hour that we didn't want to miss out on. Alex and Jasmine were both very friendly, professional and good at what they do. We didn't have to stress at all while working with them. We would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a fantastic photographer to capture their special day.

Great team!

I was so nervous on my wedding day, there were 1 million things on my mind. Thankfully Alex, Dean and Jasmin made it so much easier! They showed up and did their thing. They are clearly professionals with kind spirits. They gave us and our wedding party (8 bridesmaids, 4 groomsmen) all the great direction we needed but also somehow effortlessly snuck into the background. They were prompt, organized, kind, helpful and wonderful to work with. We love all the photos and video from the wedding, we will cherish them for the rest of our lives. Highly recommend!

Alex and his crew were incredible to work with. I highly recommend using them for all of your photography and videography needs. They made my wedding day and the process beforehand completely stress free by being responsive, knowledgeable and organized. They know how to give direction and at the same time take direction, which is important because it was clear he was the expert but I felt heard and everything I requested was taken care of. Amazing team, LOVE our pictures!

For our wedding photo and video, we used Alex Kaplan Photo, and are so happy we did. Alex did our engagement pictures which we loved, so we were already looking forward to having his company shoot our wedding. We are not photo people, so feeling comfortable was big for us. Andrea and Elliott were our photographers for the day, and they were amazing!! They were so friendly, energetic, and on-point. They got all the pictures we asked for, and put us a little out of our comfort zone to get incredible shots we never would have imagined. But we laughed the whole way through it, and it truly created fun memories. And they were quick! We did our first look and all of our pictures before our ceremony so we could enjoy cocktail hour, and we didn’t feel like we needed any more after. We got our pictures back 12/28 and our wedding was 12/5, with a estimated timeline of 35 business days, so they were way early and we are so pleased with our full gallery. The pictures are classic, and will be treasured forever. Seriously so happy, and would highly recommend.
For video, we had Serg as our videographer, and he was awesome as well. You can tell he loved what he does, and we had so much fun working with him. We cannot wait to see our video!

I heard about Alex Kaplan photography from my friend who got married earlier this year. She raved about how great the company was and how easy to work with. When I first spoke to Alex, he was helpful with packages in budget and went above and beyond to ask questions about family, bridal party, locations etc. to make everything as easy as possible. We recently had an engagement shoot with Alex, and are thrilled with the quality of his photos! We were impressed with his ability to capture us in a graceful manner despite our usual awkwardness in front of the camera. Extremely Happy Couple!

It was a wonderful experience working with Alex and his team! From the initial contact to the day of the event they were profession, attentive and extremely responsive. We were initially booked for October 2020 but due to Covid we had to move to September 2021. They happily moved the date without any issue and were more then understanding. The survey you fill out prior to the event is absolutely perfect! They make sure to ask specific questions about each element to insure they take pictures of everything you find important. Amazing Photographer!

We just had our engagement shoot with Alex, and I'm blown away by how amazing our photos turned out. I'm generally not super photogenic, and my fiance is kind of quiet, and somehow Alex made us look amazing. His personality is super friendly but laid back enough to make anyone comfortable with him, and we had so much fun at our shoot! I'm in love with all of our photos and honestly can't wait for him to photograph our wedding. Wonderful Engagement Session

We had a great time with Alex for our engagement session. He provided lots of instruction during the session to help us with the photos (that was very wanted and needed). The pictures came out beautifully.

Absolutely amazing!

We had such an awesome time meeting with Alex and having our engagement photo session. He made us feel comfortable, was super easy to work with and took amazing pictures! He varied the poses, backgrounds, angles and so much more and really gave us an over the top experience. He also got all of our pictures back to us super quickly and was very attentive in making sure we were happy with how everything went! We would 100% recommend him for any event!

Beautiful Photos, Personable, Amazing Price - Highly Recommend

We had such an amazing time with Alex during our engagement photo session! He made us feel comfortable and at ease and smiled/laughed the whole way. We had one scheduled for Aug 3rd and my FH and I were wondering where we could go and Ann recommended the perfect place! To top it off, we got our photos within 2-3 days!!!! And these pictures were just stunning and was so hard to choose which to print out!! If anyone needs a wedding photographer, we highly recommend Alex!

Flexible and Affordable

We used Alex Kaplan for our wedding and they were great to work with! We used them for both photography, videography and our photo booth. They were responsive and super flexible when we had to reschedule from our original wedding date last year. You can always add on extras through their site, and were again, super flexible when I wanted to add on an additional photographer. You can work with them on putting together a package that suits your budget and the photos have come out really well! We also booked our photo booth through them, and having a copy of the printouts into a separate album was such a nice touch!

Excellent service

What an amazing experience our wedding was and Jasmin and Harry were excellent at capturing every moment! I am having a very hard time deciding which pictures are my favorites, they are all so great! My husband and I are very happy with how everything came out and would 100% recommend AlexKaplanPhotoVideoPhotoBooth. Jasmine and Harry were very professional and friendly, very creative and made all of us feel comfortable and relaxed, we had such a good time and they were very good at handling the families (Lord knows it takes someone special to do so lol) but they did it graciously. There was no problems at all covering our getting ready at the venue and our first look, and then the church ceremony to then go back to the venue and cover the reception it was just perfect!!

Excellent experience!

Alex recently just did our engagement photos, and the experience could not have been more enjoyable. Alex was professional and very fun to work with. Even my fiancé who wants nothing to do with Photos enjoyed the experience and enjoyed working with Alex giving him clear direction and advice. Alex also makes suggestions but does not assert you must do what he says, which is great. All of the photos in the web album are great quality, and amazing shots. Our wedding is coming up and could not be happier with our decision to use Alex Kaplan. We have already recommended his services to family, and would encourage anyone to reach out to him!

Enjoyable and very professional

Alex was really amazing to work with. He had a really calming, professional presence that allowed us to get comfortable with him very quickly. Amazing photographer!

Can’t say enough good things about Alex Kaplan! We got our engagement photos back, and absolutely love them. The quality is amazing and the turn around time was pretty quick. My fiance and I both consider ourselves people who hate getting our photo taken, but Alex put us at ease, made us feel comfortable, and we laughed the whole time. 10/10 would recommend, can’t wait for our wedding with him as well.

Great Engagement Photo Session

My fiance and I had our engagement photo shoot with Alex in May and it was such a great and comfortable experience. His pointers on poses and gentle direction ensured we received high quality pictures. For instance, he would always let me know if my hair was in my face or if there were obstructions in the background. It is clear that Alex takes his profession seriously and truly cares about producing high quality work. My fiance and I loved our pictures and are excited for the wedding day!

Great engagement shoot, excited for the wedding!

My fiancé and I had our engagement shoot with Alex last week, and we could not be happier with the experience! Our shoot was supposed to happen on a very windy day (gusts up to 60 mph), so Alex quickly rescheduled us to the following day. He was friendly and very knowledgeable as he guided us through lots of different poses in different spots. He gave us suggestions but also made sure to include any ideas my fiancé and I had. The turnaround for the photos was extremely fast, and we love them! The overall pricing is very reasonable as well. We cannot wait for our wedding in June 2022 and the wedding photos and videos we will receive from Alex and his team!

Amazing and professional team

My husband and I hired Alex and his team for our March 2021 wedding. Alex and his team were easy to work with and very professional and always responded to emails. We unfortunately we decided to postpone our reception and they made the process simple and easy to move our package to that date. We still used them for our ceremony and getting ready the morning of our wedding. We absolutely love our pictures and video and are looking forward to working with them again in the fall! Excited for my wedding to be captured!

After researching the available photographers for our wedding in September we ultimately decided to go with Alex Kaplan based on reviews and the excellent customizatable packages that allowed us to get pricing that met our budget. Our first experience of the exceptional quality of his work was for our Engagement photo shoot. He made us feel comfortable and was very easy going and worked his magic while Rafael and I did little else. I was extremely satisfied with the photos in the gallery he provided to us shortly after. It's truly an art what he does, and it is amazing what a great photo can do for your excitement towards your actual wedding. We so look forward to having Alex capture our day for us through his lens!

Flexible during COVID

On the day of, Alex and his assistant were very personable. They were very flexible and rolling with the flow of how I wanted things done. I very much appreciated not being forced to do a first look which I see happening so often now-a-days. Excellent Service!

We chose Alex as our photographer after seeing all of the raving reviews about him and his work. We recently had our engagement shoot with him. We were worried because it wasn’t the best day out. However, we were pleasantly surprised to see the result of Alex’s work. All the photos came out with amazing light and focus, not sure what kind of magic he used! Alex made us feel comfortable and we had a lot of fun doing the shoot. We cannot wait to see the wedding pictures and would recommend him to our friends and family!

Great wedding day photography experience

The Alex Kaplan team was super professional, fun and friendly the day of the wedding in June 2018! Wedding days are hectic but both photographers were on their toes and did a lot of candid shots as well as group photos with family and friends. At the time, my fiance (now husband) were both really happy with the photographers and really liked how their photos came out. I would definitely recommend the Alex Kaplan team of photographers.

Easy going & stress free!

My husband and I were so happy we went with Alex Kaplan & his team! Throughout the whole process it was so simple & easy dealing with them. On the day of the wedding we had Jen & Molly with us, and they showed up right on time & got straight to work! They made sure we got all the pictures we wanted and even had to detour some people around since we got pictures at a park. We both have never had professional pictures so they made it a fun time, and most of our laughing pictures is from them actually making us laugh. Jen even made sure at the venue that I liked everything that was set up, and when i told her about two things, she had them fixed to what I liked. I will absolutely recommend them to any future brides I talk to!
