We used Alex as our wedding photographer and he was absolutely amazing. Finding the right photographer was so important to me and I did a ton of research before selecting Alex. We did 8 hours for coverage but if I was doing it again I would have hired him for even more hours and for the rehearsal dinner. He was worth every penny! We did planning meetings ahead of the wedding to ensure we would get all the shots that were important to us (which was a massive list and he got every single one). We had pictures in multiple locations and Alex was organized and calming and made it feel very easy to get everything captured. He was great with capturing authentic moments that happened throughout the day like hugs and laughter. He was great with the small children that were in the wedding ceremony. He got amazing drone shots of the ceremony and of Wychmere Harbor that we will surely have framed as artwork in our home. He was great at keeping everyone looking photo ready, reminding men to put their hands in their pockets, etc. Alex was super fast at getting pictures back to us - we got the preview the next day and the full album within a month. The photos that he captured were so amazing - he is so talented. We will definitely be using him again in the future. We are so grateful for him and the for the beautiful photos that we will have for a lifetime. -

We loved working with Alex! He did a lovely job photographing our engagement and wedding. Alex is able to capture our relationship and personalities in a way that is true to us. It threatened to rain on the day of our engagement shoot and Alex was very attentive and flexible in rescheduling to a later date. Our engagement shoot was the first time we met in person and his charm and kindness immediately put us at ease! The photos turned out fantastic. For our wedding, he sent us a document outlining all of the details, big and small, that we would need to think about. On our wedding day, we had plenty of time to get our bridal/groom portraits, getting ready photos, family photos, detail photos, and more! We completely trusted Alex's vision for posing, backdrops, scenery and could not be more in love with the photos we received. We got a sneak peek literally the day after our wedding! You can't go wrong with Alex - he is an all-around lovely human with an amazing eye for photos. -

Alex was recommended to me by a close friend. I have thanked her so many times since because our wedding album is out of this world! Alex was so calm and organized to work with as well as being personable but also keeping things perfectly on time the whole day!! We literally cannot stop looking at our wedding album and are so excited to order prints. EVERYONE who has seen the album has told me I had a phenomenal photographer!
There was a moment when we were about to go into the venue and do DJ introductions and first dance and I remember I looked out over the hills and the sun came out and it was like the perfect golden hour moment and I was thinking to myself ‘oh wow that’s such pretty light I wish we could take some more pictures now’ and I turned around and Alex was RUNNING toward me and my husband with the exact same thought and we delayed introductions for a few minutes and snuck away for a few shots in the light. Those pictures came out breathtaking and are some of our favorites!!!
I would recommend Alex to anyone! -

To say we were impressed by Alex's work at our wedding is the understatement of the year. I was incredibly anxious about finding the right person to capture the look and feel I wanted in terms of compositions, color, etc., and, in fact, we had originally hired a different photographer but decided after 6 months it wasn't going to be the right fit. It was terrifying to risk making a switch, but finding Alex was a blessing beyond words. Our two conversations by Zoom and Alex's prompt responses to my emails gave me faith in his professionalism, but I had no idea how blown away we would be with the event itself. He and his second photographer traveled up to our venue in Maine, and my only regret is that we didn't hire him for more hours and for our rehearsal dinner as well. Otherwise, I would give him a 20-star rating if I could. Alex and his second were upbeat, funny, gentle, unassuming, kind, and just a delightful presence to be around for the entire day. Guests and wedding party folk alike have commented how wonderful he was to work with during formal pics, and then how unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception. Alex was present but not, in the best ways, and you could see his eye constantly on the alert for that next great artistic shot, yet he was always available for us to pull him aside for a select group photo. My partner hates being photographed, and Alex even put him at ease, never mind the fact that he corralled our 3-year-old to keep going after she was utterly pooped out. I knew after just 20 minutes of him being there that I would completely trust Alex for the day, and that made everything so much more enjoyable and allowed me to relax after all the months of planning and anticipation. Alex made us all feel light and easy, and he kept everything and everyone on task and on time. ONLY 48 hours later he returned a preview gallery to us with 100 photos!!! They are *beyond* stunning, and EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Every image is perfect and precious, capturing the tiniest details as well as the most dramatic expansive landscapes. The pictures with our daughter in it keep taking my breath away, and I can't stop looking at them all and swooning. Best of all, our family members are thrilled to see professional shots while they are still riding high on the wave of excitement from the event itself. We have complete faith that we will be equally blown away by the full gallery in a few weeks. Alex truly made our wedding the incredible event that it was, and I will be forever grateful. -

Could not wait to write this review! The first contact was a phone call, and even though we weren’t sure about location of wedding, or date, Alex spoke to me at length about how this would work. He answered every single crazy question I had with the patience of an angel. I could sense his sensitivity, his creativity but, most of all, how much he cares. Once we settled on date and location I immediately, without interviewing anyone else, emailed him and we zoomed. So kind, respectful, attentive, flexible, knowledgeable, supportive and very funny.
The big day came and the second I met him I was laughing and was so happy to see him. He knew who was who in the wedding party, he came early to scout the venue, and was super generous of his energy and his time. Meanwhile the same night he sent us a lot of our pics! So, you can add hard-working and efficient to the list of his qualities…He even found us our videographer! Planning a wedding is rough frankly (or at least for me, I did not care much for planning an event this size) but with Alex by your side you’ll be golden! The pics came out stunning, just stunning work of art! Thank you Alex, you are a gem and an artist with the best soul! Hope to see you soon

Our Wedding Dreams Came True --- Thanks to this exceptional, detailed and kind photographer
I don't know where to begin other than to say that Alex captured our wedding day better than our wildest dreams! He listened to all of our specific detailed shots, pre-planned and checked in with us ahead of time, reviewed every element of the shoot and ensured that nothing was left behind. I run a photography division for a media company and he is among the finest photographers I've worked with in the industry. One of the best things about Alex is that he was able to capture incredible moments while also working quietly in the background, directing and corralling a 15+ person wedding party with ease.
He always made us feel completely comfortable and relaxed and was worth EVERY penny to capture the best day of our lives. He was recommended to us by our dear friends as he had shot their wedding in the Summer. The best kinds of referrals are from brides that have been through the wedding process and she was 100% right about hiring Alex. We loved working with him. Run, don't walk to Alex Gordias Photography for your wedding and future family shoots. We plan to! -

Phenomenal photographer!
Absolutely amazing!! Alex was so kind and warm, while at the same time professional and focused. He was excellent at communicating and being responsive leading up to our wedding day. I had complete trust that he was going to capture some amazing images, and he absolutely did! My bridesmaids, mom, and now-husband still talk about him, and what a great job he did. He is also multi-talented: when my hair and veil were coming loose during windy beach pictures, he was like "give me some bobby pins" and fixed my entire hairdo and veil on the spot! It was so funny and amazing. We loved him!! And the pictures--SWOON!!! Hire him!!! -

Small outdoor/Barn wedding- Artfully captured
I can not say enough about Alex, he was so professional, flexible, organized and kind. We had a small (36 guests) outdoor ceremony with barn reception and he made us feel so special and taken care of. He is so thoughtful about the entire process and was so good at keeping the day on schedule. I had the pleasure of working with his wife, Vera Gordias, as my hair and make-up stylist. the two worked so well together and it made me feel like we were on a high profile fashion shoot. You can tell that photography is truly an ART to Alex and it was so fun to watch him work and become inspired in the moment. All of that was BEFORE we saw the photos; they are truly breathtaking and I couldn't be more please with our choice. Thank you Alex and Vera for helping us preserve our special day forever. -

Alex is amazing! He has an exceptional eye to capture beauty at every moment. He is creatively inspired, incredibly hard-working, and up for even the greatest photo-op challenges. Alex initially worked with us to create a high-fashion engagement shoot that required 3 DIFFERENT locations, outfit changes, and vibes. He worked efficiently, coordinated the day perfectly, and was up for the challenge, despite the fact that it required him to go into the ocean with his clothes on to photograph some of the shots we wanted, despite it only being 43 degrees outside in Boston!! He did it, and he did with passion! The photos he captured were breath-taking and speak for themselves!
We also retained Alex's expertise to photograph our recent wedding. We wanted a more elegant photographic journalism style for our day with a focus on romance and detail. He provided us with exactly the vision we wanted for that occasion as well. Alex listens to his clients and is able to deliver essentially anything you want with absolute perfection, PLUS MORE! It is hard to put into words the way his photographs capture the moment. He is well connected, reliable, and honestly, he is fun! It is very important to work with a photographer that makes you feel comfortable, Alex is definitely that photographer.
Alex is especially efficient as well. His turnaround time for the sneak peek for our wedding was 24hrs!!! I couldn't believe it. Our complete album was ready to view within a few short weeks----this is unheard of in the world of wedding photography, seriously! Our wedding day was very windy, and when I asked to have a few stray hairs photoshopped out, Alex made those arrangements immediately. He genuinely desires to make sure his clients are 100% happy, and he is incredibly passionate about his craft---this is what sets Alex apart from other photographers. Alex was more than worth the fee we paid for his services, and we feel so blessed to have connected with him for our special day. Alex will forever be our go-to photographer for all of life's special occasions moving forward. -

We've made a wedding photo session with Alex and I should confess that it was the right choice! Alex is an amazing photographer - he feels and catches moments which are not only beautiful but also convey the atmosphere of the event. We’ve got perfectly beautiful and lively photos. There are special moments in life, you would like to keep forever, which you would like to share with your kids and grand-kids one day. The wedding is one of such remarkable moments and believe me it is better to trust the capture of this event to professionals because the difference in the professional and non-professional photo is dramatic and you would never repeat this event. -

Absolutely magical photos and wonderful, fun photo shoot experience!
I cried with joy in the middle of the office when we received our engagement photos from Alex Gordias. I didn't know what to expect, but the quality, volume, creativity, authenticity, and tenderness that he captured for us is completely unmatched. We were on the fence about engagement photos because we're on a tight budget, but when we realized we had nothing decent to put on the website, we went for it. AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On a mid-November Saturday afternoon in Boston, Alex somehow captured us in summer, fall and winter colors out by the Charles River in a wooded area with a bridge. He was engaging, experimental, creative, and enthusiastic. He strategically maneuvered around us to capture the best angles and light. He balanced positioning us and letting us just be our goofy selves. And then he had the completely brilliant idea to head to Starbucks and shoot us talking and drinking coffee out of Christmas cups through the window! Our photos are like scenes out of a movie, except I can't believe the movie is my life. I simply can't wait to see how he shoots our wedding. -

Best experience we could wish for
