Alena is an incredible photographer and a beautiful person. She, and her husband, were easy to work with, kind, punctual, and always at the right place at the right time with not one key moment of the wedding missed.
During our Golden Hour shots, my husband and I were surprised to hear a drone overhead which ended up capturing very whimsical shots of us from the air as well as the rolling hills surrounding the ranch property which were absolutely stunning works of art! She also set up flashes elevated on poles at the four corners of where our outside dinner was so that speeches and dinner moments were captured with perfect lighting and we barely noticed when the flashes went off.
Alena got so many intimate shots of me getting ready with my mom and the makeup artist but I barely noticed her because she was polite and discrete. I feel like that's the trademark of a great wedding photographer, they strike that perfect balance of being invisible but also front and center when they need to be to get the shot.
What truly blew me away was that Alena sent me preview photos THREE DAYS after the wedding which was incredible to be able to share photos with friends and family so soon after the wedding and it really helped to keep the magic alive and keep re-living the day.
I cannot recommend Alena highly enough, it is so important to have a good photographer to document your special day and you will be in amazing hands with Alena.Alena Evteeva Photography's reply:

Alena's photography is stunning and unique, and working with her was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She has an incredible eye for the epic, romantic, and intimate. She and her partner efficiently identified the unique backdrops and captured both big moments and lovely candids. We and our family and guests felt entirely at ease. Affordable, Professional and Quality
Working with Alena and her husband, Alex, was a dream. I found her randomly through the Wedding Photojournalist Association, and loved her photos. When we interviewed Alena by phone, we knew wanted to work with her because she was friendly, genuinely enjoyed what she does, and affordable. Alena was quick to respond and accommodating to all of my requests throughout the planning process. She also gave great suggestions on photo spots for the engagement and wedding day. The engagement photos and wedding photos were beautiful, natural and captured all the special moments of our day. We highly recommend Alena! -

Alena was simply phenomenal to work with. Not only are her photos incredible (her portfolio speaks for itself), she is responsive and great to work with. She listens to what you want and makes it happen. On the big day, she is clear and quick in getting the more posed photos so that you can enjoy your wedding and she can capture all the amazing candid moments! I can't say enough about Alena and her husband. They make a great team and were a tremendous addition to our wedding day. Our photos turned out great and my wife and I feel like we made friends with them throughout the experience.
When your big day comes, you will be thankful you hired someone you connected with beforehand to capture the most important moments. That was Alena...we had a lot of fun with the engagement photos and the chemistry carried on into our wedding day. It was nice knowing she was behind the camera capturing it all.

Alena is an amazing photographer. She is very professional, punctual and detail-oriented. She arrived early on the day of the wedding and even though we did not have a formal event planner she was able to get into the action, start shooting and really made a great impression on our wedding party. Several of our family members commented on how professional and friendly both Alena and her husband and business partner Alex were during the event. Alena was very considerate and flexible; she was able to accommodate several of our requests regarding time frame and style.

Alena is a wonderfully talented photographer with great creative instincts, and a kind, stress-free demeanor!
My husband and I were lucky enough to book her for our outdoor wedding in Tahoe last November. Prior to the event, she and her husband spent an afternoon walking through various outdoor sites with us, and we were impressed by her ideas, directness, and patience. Their experience was heaven-sent as they were able to guide us toward better sites, and inform us which spots would be best as the light changed throughout the day.
Wedding day went off without a hitch, and our families loved them. The photos came back beautifully, on-time, and they threw in some awesome drone shots, too!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or hire Alena again! -

Simple, professional and beautiful results
Alena has been a god send. She was so nice and easy to work with. My husband and I are the type that awkwardly stand around waving at the camera. She helped us with posing and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and her photos turned out natural and beautiful. She managed to get so many candid shots of us and our families that really captured the atmosphere.
I made a photo book from her pictures for family that couldn't attend the wedding. Alena's pictures really tell a detailed story of the event, the decorations and emotions. Everyone raved about the photos. -

Alena was amazing to work with. Throughout the whole process she was incredibly responsive and accommodating. She and her partner Alex were proactive about visiting the venue beforehand and she even agreed to come early to shoot getting ready photos when we had a last minute change. She had some of the most reasonable prices I've seen from our extensive search and her final photos were stunning. She also got them to us in 2 months which, from what I've heard, is record time. We would highly recommend hiring her. -

We found Aleena through a friend who had gotten married shortly before we did. Looking at her portfolio, I was immediately impressed with the composition, timing, and careful use of natural light in her work. I'm usually not a fan of black-and-white photography, either, because it's hard to pull off an end result that wouldn't look better in color. But Aleena's use of B&W is judicious and well-executed.
We were delighted to find that her quote was within our budget, too. Frankly, I believe her work is better than many popular pros in the area who charge far more.
Aleena communicated promptly and responsively with us as we set expectations and goals. We visited the venue the week before and sort of mapped out the area and brainstormed ideas. I told her that I didn't want a candid, photojournalism-styled shoot as is trendy these days, and that I wanted a more traditional style where most of the shots are choreographed, and to not be shy about taking us and our guests prisoner for posed shots instead of waiting for "the perfect moment." She nailed it!
It's important to note that while Aleena is a bit quiet and almost shy, she knows what to ask for to get results, and will not hesitate to (politely) tell you and your guests what to do.
We also got a few quick drone shots in before the park rangers could catch us. They added some incredible perspective.
We received our first set of sample photos less than a week after the wedding! It was 100 of the best shots, hosted on cloud storage for easy sharing. The remaining photos arrived exactly two months after our wedding, on the most beautiful thumb drive I have ever seen contained in a cute wooden box with a small flip book of glossy prints.

She was always so kind and laid back, even while we had to corral family members for photos hectically on the wedding day. We also could not be happier with the quality of the photos! We have been getting non-stop compliments and Alena was very open to my ideas for a “shot-list” on the day of the wedding of specific moments I wanted to make sure to capture. All in all Alena was an amazing photographer and I would highly recommend her to anyone for their engagement of wedding photos, I cannot say enough good things about her! She’s the best!
