My wife and I got married at Aldworth in October of 2025, to say that everything exceeded expectations would be a gross understatement.

The Manor is worth visiting in it’s own right for a public dinner (fresh ingredients, thoughtfully presented) - the pictures don’t do the in person beauty of the place & its overall setting justice. This was, in large part, why Aldworth was our last venue tour - about 15 minutes in while Shane was walking to another room my then Fiancee and I caught a look at each other saying “this is the one”.

This moves me to the staff - Shane runs the ship and does a phenomenal job representing the and the overall vibe of the Manor, and was fantastic to work with (clear, open, and timely communication with proper expectations set throughout) from the first time we met him on the tour until departing the day after the festivities. Joan and Brendon across food & bev respectively, and all the rest of the staff across the board - were phenomenal to work with also.

The last thing I would add is that if you’re looking for some volume of on site lodging option for family, parties, VIP guests, whatever - Aldworth does this incredibly well with 3 large AirBnB’S on property, all within walking distance to the Manor. It was a huge point of emphasis for us and wound up fitting seamlessly into what we planned.

TLDR; LOVE Aldworth, I’m biased but firmly believe it’s the perfect wedding venue, you should book it.

Our October 2025 wedding at Aldworth Manor was truly SPECTACULAR. From the very beginning, we knew we made the right decision to have our wedding at Aldworth. Shane was incredible to work with; he was responsive, helpful, patient, and so very kind. Not only was Shane great to work with, but the staff was as well. The kitchen, bartenders, and waitstaff were professional and tended to our needs for our rehearsal dinner and on wedding day. Everything was seamless and organized, and we were so lucky to have such a great team working with us.

We also rented the three houses on the property for the wedding weekend and could not recommend this more. The houses were clean and tidy when we arrived, and it was so special having some of our closest friends and family on the property with us for the weekend. That really was one of our favorite parts from our wedding. Overall, I highly recommend having a wedding at Aldworth Manor (especially in the fall).

P.S. It goes without saying, but the property is absolutely stunning and so unique!! We loved being able to spend time outdoors, and the views from the Manor are magnificent.

There are no adequate words to describe how incredible and special Aldworth Manor is. It is a stunning property with helpful and kind staff. They went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend a dream come true. The grounds are so well maintained, the Manor itself is unique and spacious, and the setting for a wedding can't be beat. We are so glad we can return to Aldworth for dinners to celebrate and remember our wedding weekend. The food was top notch, great drinks, and we loved that it is family owned and operated! BOOK IT! The Aldworth Manor is the most incredible and beautiful venue for a wedding. The manor itself is stunning and well taken care of with just the right amount of historic feel. But the manor grounds are the real show-stopper. The landscaping and wildflowers for our August wedding were unbelievable, and the site overlooking Mount Monadnock was extra special.

We had a lot of guests come from out of the state and country, so being able to host ~50 of our family and friends in the three houses on-site was a great bonus and a whole lot of fun.

The staff was also top notch. Shane and his family were so responsive throughout the process, responding to our many questions and flawlessly executing all operations for the event during the weekend itself. Brendon and his team behind the bar and Joan and her team in the kitchen were equally fantastic, with our guests raving all night long about the amazing drinks and food.

The Aldworth Manor exceeded every single one of our (already high) expectations. You will not regret having your wedding there!

Our wedding at Aldworth Manor was truly a dream come true. After searching high and low for the perfect venue, I stumbled across Aldworth in a blog post—and we actually booked it based on a FaceTime tour with Shane! From the very beginning, Shane was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering all our questions and making the planning process seamless.

The grounds are absolutely breathtaking—it truly feels like you’re in Italy. Our guests are still raving about it, saying it’s the most beautiful venue they’ve ever seen! We booked all three houses so our close friends and family could stay on-site with us for the weekend, which made it even more special. We even hosted a farewell brunch on Sunday morning.

From Shane’s guidance to Brendan at the bar and the entire team who worked our rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch, everyone went above and beyond to make our wedding unforgettable. We’re so grateful for everything you did to make our day so magical!

I got married here recently, and all I can say is wow. Literally the most magical, beautiful, elegent, luxurious feeling in this property and my photos couldn't have been more perfect. Shane the owner is an awesome guy and eas super helpful through the process and even on the day of my wedding; he served my husband and I drinks. 10/10 recommend getting married here, it will be a day you'll NEVER forget. 😭💜

My husband and I are still in awe over our wedding day at Aldworth Manor. This was the first (and only) wedding venue we toured after our engagement, and upon arrival at the manor, we knew we wouldn’t be looking anywhere else. I suspect we are not the only couple that has had that experience!

The manor has such a rich history and has been beautifully restored by the Long family, who were an absolute dream to work with. So down to earth, so accommodating, and they went above and beyond to make not only our wedding day, but the entire planning process, perfect for us.

Everything from the gardens, the on-site lodging, the mountain views, the catering and bar, and of course, the manor itself was everything we dreamed of and more. Our guests could not believe how beautiful the venue was, and we are still receiving so many compliments. I swear this place is pure magic. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding at Aldworth, and we will be back as soon as we can!

BOOK ALDWORTH IMMEDIATELY! The minute we toured Aldworth we knew it was the one. The breathtaking architecture, grounds, interiors, and location are unparalleled. The added bonus of Airbnbs on site for the bridal party and family made it a no-brainer for us. It felt like a private retreat of a weekend for our closest friends and fam. The experience of working with Shane and Tammy was the cherry on top. They truly make you feel like family. We had a close call with the rain but everyone worked together on multiple contingency plans and believed in the vision. We ended up having it outside and the rain cleared and sun shined down. I can't thank the staff at Aldworth enough. Another big shout out to Brendan the bartender, the kitchen staff, and all the servers. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

We had the most amazing wedding at Aldworth during the fall! Shane and his team were all wonderful to work with, incredibly flexible, especially with the many last minute weather adjustments. We could not have been happier with our entire planning and wedding process at Aldworth!

Aldworth Manor was the perfect location for our wedding this year, it was incredible! Our June date had gorgeous weather, the food was spectacular and our guests who stayed on property were thrilled with the accommodations. The professionalism of the staff and Shane went above and beyond making our weekend magical. It was like having our own private estate, I felt like I was on Downton Abbey! I hope to get back to the hill to celebrate our one year anniversary next summer.

What a time we had! The crew at Aldworth Manor left no detail to chance. They gave everything a personal touch. It was all just perfect! My niece, who has been to dozens of destination weddings, told us that Aldworth Manor was better than any she'd been to. We felt so blessed.

Where to start. The Aldworth Manor exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only is it the most picturesque venue, the staff were incredible to work with as well. They give you a great idea of timelines, menu ideas, drink suggestions and more. They make you feel comfortable every step of the way.

Communication was easy and quick with the management team. Shane personally was always available for questions or tours with parents. He found time in his busy schedule to always accommodate what was needed. Despite the stress that comes along with wedding planning, the Aldworth staff helped alleviate any anxiety we had making our wedding day as comfortable as it was memorable.

We couldn’t recommend this place more. Friends and family at the wedding were blown away by the beautiful venue and continue to sing its praises. Look no further than the Aldworth for the most stunning venue and incredible memories that will last a lifetime.

My husband and I are so happy we got to celebrate our wedding at such a beautiful and special place as Aldworth Manor. Not only is the manor house and all of its grounds truly stunning, but the people who work there are filled with so much heart, and each of them were deeply committed to making our special day picture perfect. We had so many questions leading up to our big day, including some stressful last-minute permit questions from our tent rental company, but the team at Aldworth Manor was always there for us to answer questions, put us at ease, and ensure our wedding reception was as picture perfect as we could have dreamed. And indeed it was - we felt so lucky to spend such a beautiful day on this property which is so steeped in history and beauty. Our guests loved the location, and it was nice that many of them could stay on-property with us in Aldworth Manor's three guest houses. The property has been restored with so much love and care from the Long family and the rest of their amazing team. Every detail has been thought through, and their passion for the Manor, its people, and its visitors is apparent everywhere you look. Aldworth Manor feels like a small family business - they are non-corporate, dedicated to their employees and guests, and full of so much heart. They customize every wedding so that each couple experiences a celebration which is entirely unique and tailored to them, which is so special. We feel lucky to be able to return to this special place to enjoy their community restaurant Tavern Nights and special events throughout the year, and it will always have a special place in our hearts. We can't wait to keep returning again and again to catch up with the wonderful people who made our wedding day so special, and to take in the beauty and history of this special place!

We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Shane and Aldworth Manor. From the first time we toured the property and met Shane, we knew this was the venue for us. The property is like something out of a Hallmark movie - literally. A historic building, lovingly renovated by a family to restore its character, charm, and beauty while preserving the historic integrity. Aldworth is the perfect combination of elegance run by a down-to-earth and welcoming family, that truly makes you feel like you’re a part of their family. The grounds are breathtaking and made for the most beautiful backdrop for our outdoor ceremony and wedding photos. We were fortunate to make a few trips to Aldworth before our wedding, and each time we were greeted like we were family visiting. Our decision to book Aldworth was constantly validated by the praises of the locals we came across, who couldn’t help but gush about the Long family, and the thoughtful & timely communication from Shane throughout the planning process.

The weekend of our wedding (10/15/22) had the most beautiful weather, with the foliage really making a show. Having everything in one location, with everyone being able to stay on property, created an exclusive feel and facilitated a warm, welcoming, and intimate gathering for our friends and family. It was the best “reunion” weekend feeling. Everyone raved about the ability to stay on property, not having to drive, and how much they enjoyed getting to know one another & celebrating in the houses. It made it convenient for getting ready and organizing our weekend. The staff flawlessly delivered on our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and farewell brunch with ease; following the directions and vision I had for each event to be unique yet cohesive. The staff throughout the planning process and the weekend were helpful, friendly, and professional. Everything about our wedding at Aldworth was fantastic. We feel forever fortunate to have stumbled across this hidden gem and to now be a part of the Aldworth family. Shane, Tammy, and all the staff at Aldworth - THANK YOU!

Joe and I feel immense gratitude and privilege to have been married at Aldworth Manor. This is an incredibly unique property that is rivaled in quality only by the caring family and staff who run it. Planning and hosting our wedding at Aldworth was a personalized journey from start to finish. One of the greatest aspects of hosting at Aldworth was the ability to have access to the property all weekend, and rent the on-site houses for our friends and family. Shane and team took great care to listen to our vision for the weekend, and it felt like we were able to execute everything that we wanted, how we wanted it. We will always remember our magical wedding at Aldworth and can't recommend it highly enough.

Aldworth Manor is a gem. From the moment we first arrived on the property we were in love with the historic manor, the grounds, and the views of Monadnock. Our bridal party and family loved the convenience of staying on the property in Aldworth's three housing accommodations, allowing us to spend more time with the people we love during what is an otherwise busy weekend. Our wedding day was perfect and beautiful and our guests have not stopped talking about how lovely Aldworth was! The Long family has done a fantastic job. Shane in particular was incredible every step of the way, always going out of his way to be helpful and accommodating, even with some unexpected staffing issues that arose. We are so grateful to him for making sure things ran smoothly and there is no one better to trust with your big day. Aldworth is a special place and we we can't wait to come back and visit!

We had our wedding at the Aldworth Manor and I would highly recommend it. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are amazingly helpful and great to work with. The houses on the grounds were fantastic for having family and friends all nearby for the weekend. The food was a huge hit as well. They're always doing updates to the actual manor and the care they take with everything is extremely evident. We loved it!

My husband and I got married at the Aldworth Manor in September 2021 and it was truly the best day of our lives! I can't recommend the Aldworth enough or say enough good things about this venue and the staff. We toured the venue about two years in advance of our wedding date and booked it the following day after falling completely in love with it. We'd toured a few other venues before visiting the Aldworth, but they didn't feel comfortable to us or were kind of stuffy (or wildly overpriced). But Shane, the owner, is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and instantly made us feel welcome, and took his time walking us around and explaining how everything worked with pricing, lodging, etc. The manor, the grounds, the views - they're all truly sublime in every way. We had two full years between when we booked the venue and our actual wedding date, but Shane was always available to answer questions or help with vendor recommendations. We also ended up booking the onsite lodging for our close family and bridal party and I'm SO glad we did! There was a ton of room for our guests, as well as outdoor space for relaxing the day after the wedding. Since we were all there for the entire weekend, it made it so easy to just walk up and down from the manor for the rehearsal/wedding/etc. and not have to worry about transportation for everyone and/or being on time. Would highly recommend booking the lodging onsite!

The actual day of our wedding went off literally without a hitch. I'm the type of person who is easily stressed and can be a bit hard to please, but the whole day felt so seamless and relaxed! Shane's staff was incredibly helpful, polite and made everything feel so easy and effortless for us and our guests - and for that I'm forever grateful! Shane also handled the bar, where we had an open bar for our guests. He did a great job stocking the bar, making sure a variety of alcohol was available (our guests seemed thrilled by the variety/availability!). We also chose to do a signature cocktail (a paloma) and it was one of the best I've ever had! They were fresh-squeezing grapefruit juice all night long - I was so impressed!

We also ended up going with their onsite caterer, Hilltop Kitchen, and they did a fantastic job on the food. We worked with Erin, the head chef, and she was so helpful and flexible in planning our menu and making it all work for us. They catered our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, wedding reception and a farewell brunch the day after. All of the food was delicious and we got so many compliments on how good everything was!

This venue is complete perfection - it really doesn't get better! Thank you Shane, Erin & staff for giving us a beautiful and truly unforgettable experience!

Our wedding at Aldworth was even better than I could have imagined! The venue is stunning, from the manor itself to the views overlooking Mount Monadnock. When I toured the venue, it was covered in snow, but even then I could tell that this was a special place. Our July wedding saw the grounds in full bloom--we barely needed additional flowers! Beyond the venue itself, the people at Aldworth are kind, understanding, and genuinely want you to have a special day. Shane was quick to offer us a new date in 2021 when our 2020 date had to be postponed due to COVID, and his flexibility made that difficult situation a lot less stressful. He and his team (shoutout to Tom!) made working a wedding all weekend look easy, from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch. Shane clearly wears many hats as he also tended bar throughout the weekend (don't miss his aperol spritzes). Finally, though Aldworth allows you to choose your own caterer, his in-house caterer, Erin, was amazing to work with and made the most delicious food! Our guests went out of their way to tell us how much they loved dinner. We could not have asked for a better wedding venue or team.

I just hosted my bridal shower at Aldworth Manor on 22 May. I contacted Shane in March after learning that my original shower venue would no longer be hosting events due to COVID. I highly recommend booking with them. The grounds are stunning and the manor is full of unique spaces with amazing decor. We worked with Erin from Hilltop Kitchen for the food and she curated an amazing menu for our high tea themed shower. Shane bartended and was super flexible and down to earth. All I can say is if I could go back in time and book my wedding here, I would!

My husband and I got married at Aldworth Manor on 10/03/2020. We hosted a small outdoor wedding with our closest friends and family and it couldn't have been more perfect. I don't even know where to begin with how much we loved this location! This manor is honestly a little slice of heaven in NH. It feels like a villa that was plucked out of Tuscany, Italy. The views of the mountains are breathtaking. The grounds are insanely beautiful. Every time you turn a corner you come across another secret garden or charming little staircase - a dream for wedding photos. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. The inside of the manor is decorated so well with antique furniture and art, making each and every space so gorgeous and cozy. (We were only indoors for bathroom access - but there were candles lite on every table which was such a thoughtful touch). Also, the staff and entire team at Aldworth is A+. Everyone was so kind and accommodating to our guests. The owner Shane is the BEST! He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and so easy to work with. Shane was super responsive with all of our questions throughout the planning process leading up to the big day. He always made sure to check in and see if we needed anything. I can not recommend this venue enough!! It was an absolute DREAM come true and we feel so lucky our special day was at Aldworth Manor.

My husband and I got married at Aldworth Manor this past weekend and it was not only the most beautiful perfect venue but Shane was SO wonderful to work with and made my life very easy. He is very responsive to emails and calls and in the weeks leading up to the wedding he was happy to answer all a million of my questions.

The pictures that we've gotten back from our photographer already came out absolutely stunning as Aldworth has so much natural beauty and a variety of locations that photograph so well. We were lucky to have timed the fall foliage perfectly (10/12) and all of the wedding guests commented on how it amazing of a location it was.

Another thing we loved about the property was that there are three houses on the property. We turned them into a family house, a bridesmaids house, and a groomsmen house. Having the people that we love the most surrounding us for the entire weekend truly turned it into a destination wedding and a weekend long event.

Aldworth Manor has now become our favorite spot in New Hampshire! We fell in love when we visited the property looking at venues and could not have been happier now that our wedding weekend has passed. Not only does the location come with stunning views of Mt. Monadnock, everyone that works there is so warm, welcoming, and accommodating! Shane and Tammy were great at communicating prior to the event as well as on the day of. The amount of work they put into groundskeeping on top of the continued improvements to the estate is a testament to their diligence at providing the best possible venue for weddings and other events. We loved that we were able to have the venue for the entire weekend. Our bridal party stayed with us on the property, we had our rehearsal dinner inside the manor on Friday and hosted a Sunday brunch after the wedding in addition to our cocktail hour and reception on Saturday. And our guests could not stop gushing about how much they loved the property. We would recommend Aldworth Manor to anyone contemplating a magical venue for their wedding day!

Wow! I can't say enough wonderful things about Shane, Tammy and the crew at the Aldworth Manor. They just do everything right, from the keeping of the grounds to hiring excellent staff. They are just so kind, welcoming and flexible. If we were to plan our wedding day all over again, we would choose the Aldworth Manor with Shane and Tammy again and again.

I photographed a wedding at Aldworth Manor last weekend and am OBSESSED. It's my new favorite venue!!! I also photographed the welcome dinner the night before, so I had a lot of time to work with the staff and get to know them. In short, they are AWESOME and SO on top of it.

The staff executed everything on time, and always had a smile on their face while doing it. They were so helpful with helping me arrange things for photos, alerting me when the room was set so that I could photograph it, and confident with a rain back up plan incase a storm came through. They even made sure I always had water-- and as a photographer running around for 10 hours directing photos and family members and probably losing my voice, that is a true gift.

The building and grounds themselves are diverse, well kept up, and can fit a big group without feeling crowded or overwhelming. The view of Mount Monadnock is GORGEOUS and the manor has so many intricate, worn, artful details. If you're looking for a combination of upscale and down to earth with a Tuscany vibe, Aldworth Manor is the place.

We have so many amazing things to say about Aldworth Manor and getting married there. Hosting our wedding weekend here was the best decision we made throughout the planning process. Not only is Aldworth Manor and the grounds absolutely stunning, but the Long Family are wonderful people to work with. Shane, Tammy, and everyone else, were so helpful and accommodating throughout our planning process and the weekend of our wedding. They were communicative, responsive, and helped us with all of our requests. Aldworth Manor as a venue gives you so many choices to make your wedding come alive. We were able to use the inside of the manor for portions of the weekend and use the beautiful scenery as a backdrop for our ceremony. We tried to incorporate the grounds as much as possible throughout the weekend, and it did not disappoint us or our guests. Also, having the houses right on the property where the wedding party/family can stay is an incredible perk! We can't wait to see all of the amazing things the Long Family does with Aldworth - you will not regret hosting your wedding here!

My husband and I searched for a long time for the perfect wedding venue. I am an event planner by trade, so I had a very specific vision in mind and my husband shared in that as well. We are really into wine and were hoping to find a winery in the greater New England area for our wedding, but having traveled to Italy and Napa and Sonoma County recently prior, nothing in this area really compared. That is, until we found the Aldworth on a whim while continuing our extensive online search where we thought we had seen it all! Especially everything in NH which is where my husband and I were both born. As soon as I stumbled across the photos, we both knew it was the one. It looked exactly the the Villas in Italy, surrounded by the most beautiful backdrop of Monadnock Mountain where my husband and his family had been going their entire lives. As if the venue wasn’t perfect enough on its own, we then realized it was only 20 minutes from my Husband’s hometown of Keene. We figured if we couldn’t bring our wedding to a winery we were going to bring a winery to our wedding and this was just the backdrop to do so. We went to see it as soon as we could (admittedly before we even got engaged..like I said, I’m a planner!) and it surpassed our greatest expectations in person. It’s hard not to gasp at its beauty when you drive up this long dirt road in the middle of small-town Harrisville. Shane and his mom Tammy, met us with open arms and walked us around the property and we fell in love with them and the grounds minute by minute and the rest was history. My only worry that day, was that this hidden gem was starting to quickly become less and less hidden and there would be no dates left for us by the time we got engaged and got to planning. But a few weeks later my (then) fiancé surprised me with a beautiful proposal with a gorgeous ring and the news that he had already booked the Aldworth for the following September! From then on, Shane and the entire family were a dream to work with. They were so warm, welcoming and accommodating to us and my millions of questions and multiple visits throughout the next year and a half. The venue is DIY so you need to be up for the task but it also makes things completely your own so I was able to still make the venue feel like the winery we always wanted with help from decor and some creativity! It also helps to keeps costs down. Shane does have a list of great vendors if you need suggestions. As soon as guests arrived on our wedding weekend, they fell in with the Aldworth as quickly as we had and the best part was having our bridal party stay on property all weekend so we never had to go anywhere and it was the best experience we could have asked for! Thank you is not enough for these gracious people and their magical slice of heaven they have created in Harrisville!

The venue is absolutely stunning and to top it off the host, Shane, is top notch. We spent a year looking for a location and ended up at the Aldworth Manor for it's classic and timeless beauty, large and flexible spaces, and ability to provide a sense of comfort and lightness. The venue is already beautiful as-is, with no added decorations or flowers. There's plenty of natural floral and vegetation thoughtfully arranged throughout the venue by Shane. The available guest homes were a very special bonus to this Venue as it allowed for my wife and I to have both a traditional Vietnamese ceremony and American ceremony in the same day! The guest homes are very well kept and have ample room and amenities. I would recommend staying the night before the wedding and even on the day of. My wife and I did this and it made our wedding experience extremely manageable and enjoyable. What can we say about Shane? He is without a doubt one of the best in his industry. What an absolute professional, imaginative, patient, kind, happy, respectful, and understanding host. He was always on time and warm to receive us. He helped out with much of the venue layout, flow, and coordination. The American-Vietnamese wedding was a first at the Aldworth and Shane was extremely patient and understanding of our wants and needs. We worked very closely and never butted heads - it was such an enjoyable experience. He respected our opinions and gave us his trust. He was very patient, especially considering there were many fist time things that we wanted to do at the Aldworth. Thank you Shane for an amazing wedding!!!

I can not picture a more perfect place to have gotten married. The entire process with Shane and his family at the Aldworth Manor was so easy and enjoyable - each conversation and visit was very personal and accommodating. The entire property is enchanting... I am huge with detail and decoration but the natural setting it allowed for me to really relax and just enjoy what already on site. Being able to have the ceremony and reception at the same location was one of our biggest "must- haves" -- we were able to do this at the Aldworth Manor and create two completely different settings on different areas on the Manor.
Whether the sun is shining or the weather is not in your favor you are still guaranteed for a beautiful day (we ended up with a cold wet day --- but everything was still perfect... and easy!)
Another great thing about the manor is the amount of lodging that was available. We had the majority of all of our far traveling guests stay on the Manor property the entire weekend -- it allowed to really enjoy the Manor for the entire weekend and make it not just a one-day celebration!

My husband and both of our families had the best wedding weekend --- we feel like we want to relive it (I don't think everyone has that feeling after months of possible stressful planning) and that was really because of the location of our wedding and how easy it was to work with owners. The Aldworth Manor is one of the most beautiful tucked away treasures.

Brides, I am telling you right now... if you go look at this venue you will be putting a deposit down! It is insanely beautiful. Flowers EVERYWHERE, views of the mountain, and a gorgeous manor to take moody photos. My videographers even said "I feel as if we are in Spain right now." It is just incredible. Although a perfect backdrop is vital for a "fairytale wedding," what really matters are the people running the show. Shane and Tammy are the sweetest souls and work so hard to make sure you have the best experience. I absolutely loved working with them! I plan on having a big celebration either this year or next, and I will 100% have it at Aldworth. You can't beat it. It is the whole package and more! Thank you so much Shane and Tammy for everything!! P.s... my guests were obsessed with the headmasters house! Make sure you reserve the houses as well! (The cost was ballpark for two nights in the headmasters house and one night for the lodge as well.)

Aldworth Manor provided us the perfect backdrop for an amazing wedding weekend! Shane, Tammy and the rest of the folks at Aldworth were attentive in making sure all of our needs were met. The flexibility of being able to choose all of our vendors, and having use of the property for the entire weekend (not just Saturday evening) made it so that we could truly enjoy a full weekend with our guests. We had a full welcome party on the grounds instead of a formal "rehearsal dinner" on Friday, and then enjoyed a beautiful outdoor ceremony and tented reception on Saturday. With our whole wedding party staying at the "lodge" on the grounds, it made for a wonderful afterparty without anyone having to go very far too! The grounds and landscaping are stunning, and the scenery will only continue to improve as the Long family has more time to work on it. Truly a hidden (not for long) gem that will only get better with time.

If you are on the fence about your wedding venue, with a long list of pros and cons, look no further! You won't regret it! We had toured several venues that would have been lovely, before visiting and settling on Aldworth. It is absolutely beautiful, and "checked all our boxes". We wanted to host our ceremony and reception in the same location, have flexibility of vendor choices, purchase our own alcohol, have flexibility of timeline (so rare!), and most of all, make our wedding our own.
Shane, Tammy and crew were professional, welcoming and fun to work with from the start. And that's what it's all about, right?! They made us feel like our weekend was important, and were always prompt to answer any questions. We just can't say enough good things- with all the details that go into pulling off a wedding, you couldn't have a better team helping to make it all happen!
We had our outdoor ceremony and tented reception on the estate on Saturday, August 12, 2017, and all the grounds were impeccable. The weather held off, and we had a beautiful sunny afternoon. When it finally did storm after cutting our cake, Shane and Tammy were there with umbrellas, and made sure everything went without a hitch. The dancing continued after the worst of the storm, and it just added fun and excitement to our perfect day. We were so lucky to be able to continue celebrating in the lodge with friends and family into the early hours of the morning after the dancing was over!
The flexibility of the whole weekend really made our wedding vision possible. We were able to practice our ceremony Friday, and had flexibility with setup and cleanup before and after the wedding. We even hosted brunch under our tent Sunday morning. Shane and crew were there if we needed them every step of the way.
Aldworth truly is a gem, surrounded by beautiful flowers, historic architecture and the most perfect mountain view. We had the best weekend of our lives, and will cherish our memories here for a lifetime!

The Aldworth manor was an absolutely stunning venue! We’re so glad to have found and chosen this location for our wedding. We rented all three houses at the venue for the weekend and stayed on site for the Friday rehearsal dinner (at the house), wedding, and Sunday brunch. We were thrilled to have the entire place for the weekend— our guests loved spending quality time together. There were thunderstorms the day of the wedding and the Aldworth manor staff were incredibly flexible and helpful in adjusting our timeline to make everything run smoothly. We’re incredibly grateful!

Aldworth Manor was the most amazing setting for our outdoor wedding on Labor Day weekend 2016. The grounds and gardens were a gorgeous backdrop to the celebration. Our ceremony took place on the lawn in front of the manor with the magnificent view of Mt. Monadnock before us and the elegant, European style manor behind. Following the ceremony, we lingered in the gardens and on the lawn for cocktails and photos during sunset and then moved on to a tented reception behind. Not only did they have everything in beautiful condition for our special day, but Shane and his whole crew made sure that everything we needed was there and promptly attended to. Any questions or needs of our vendors were anticipated, answered and met. We had many family and friends travel from around the country and some happily stayed right there at Aldworth or easily found accommodations throughout the area at different inns and b&b's. We could not have dreamed of a more perfect setting for our wedding. They have created a truly magical place to help make dreams come true!!!

Aldworth Manor is undeniably a gorgeous property. The setting is stunning, the views are beautiful, and having the option to add the three Airbnbs on-site gave our wedding weekend a destination feel that our guests really loved. The welcome dinner was set up well, the cocktail hour food was phenomenal, and the mashed potato bar and desserts were highlights. We also appreciated the thoughtful tray of appetizers in the library for a private moment after the ceremony. These touches made the weekend feel special, and there’s no denying that the property itself has incredible potential.

That being said, there were a number of disappointments across both the venue and the catering that took away from the overall experience. At the welcome dinner, the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and paper towels only two hours into the event, and I, as the bride, had to track someone down. Later I discovered that staff had simply placed a roll of toilet paper on top of the dispenser rather than replacing it properly. The reception room was also uncomfortably hot until doors and windows were opened, which felt unprepared for a summer venue.

Communication about linens was confusing. We were originally told tablecloths were optional rentals, only to learn a month before the wedding that they were actually required because the venue’s tables were water-stained. For the price, basic linens should be included if required. Similarly, the bartending service was frustrating. We were not told until after signing that shots and martinis were not allowed, and that all drinks must include ice. To add to the frustration, while a 20% gratuity was automatically included in our bill, a tip jar was also placed at the bar, which felt unprofessional and pressured guests to tip again at an open bar.

Catering was hit or miss. The rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour were excellent, but the chicken entrée at the reception was extremely dry, and dinner service was delayed without explanation. The brunch add-on for “pastries and parfaits” was disappointing; only the week of the wedding were we told that we had to pick one single pastry option for the entire group. For the price of the upgrade, this felt misleading. Communication leading up to the wedding was consistently poor. Emails often went unanswered for a week or more, and when we asked the venue coordinator to help escalate, the response we received from Joan was more defensive than helpful.

The most upsetting moment came with our wedding cake. My mom baked our cake, and we confirmed multiple times, including the day before, that she could decorate it in the kitchen after family photos. On the day of the wedding, staff acted unaware of this agreement and instead directed her, in her dress, with her hair and makeup done, to a tiny table in the basement on a dirty outdoor rug. This was disrespectful and incredibly frustrating after so many confirmations.

Housing on the property is fun, but couples should know it operates just like standard Airbnbs. Guests are expected to take out the trash, do dishes, and clean up food. While manageable with help, this meant the morning after our wedding we felt more like a cleanup crew than newlyweds.

Overall, this is a gorgeous venue with strong catering highlights, but it is far from full service. Couples should know they will need to outsource almost everything besides chairs, catering, and bartending. For the cost, we expected more transparency, support, and professionalism.
