    Our son and daughter in law got married here. It couldn't of been any better. We never wanted to leave. Debbie was wonderful to work with. We had the wedding party and both sides of the family stay there and loved it.

    The site is beautiful. We did very minimal decorating as it was already well decorated. Very family friendly since there is a play area for kids upstairs. Would highly recommend this facility. If this is a first time in Homer for most, you and your guests will not be disappointed either, as the view is spectacular.

    Everything we could have hoped for, I was a picky bride and I didn't have one complaint! Thank you to Debbie and everyone at Second Starbfor your help, advice and wonderful service. Perfect destination wedding.

    Magical is the only word to describe the Second Star. Highly recommend this venue!

    Beautiful wedding venue and fun place to stay with your wedding party/family for the weekend! The views are absolutely amazing!

    What a beautiful place! Although we feel it was worth the cost, there were a few things that could be improved upon. There were 4 or 5 beautiful light fixtures/chandeliers in common areas that had burned out light bulbs. Unfortunately, these were also noted to be burned out at a previous event we attended eight months before our event. We had an outdoor wedding, and spent some of our time picking blooming dandelions out of the lawn beforehand. Additionally, the hot tub and restroom in the spa were down and we were not aware of this until the afternoon we checked in. A little heads up before we came would have been appreciated. While we were reimbursed partially for the spa, we feel that we did not get to enjoy the experience we planned on and would have felt a full refund for the spa would have been a fair compromise. There were a few other minor repairs/upkeep that were agreed upon but not fulfilled. Despite all of this, we enjoyed a magical weekend at Second Star and would book another stay there in the future. I think if a little more time was spent on upkeep, we would have been fully satisfied.

    Thank you so much for your response! I am so sorry no one let you know about the hot tub prior to arrival. Our new management team (Brittney & Kristi) are working hard to alert people of this now before check in and to fix the things you mentioned.

    To help us out we have hired a amazing new maintenance man and are in the process of fixing all the things you mentioned. We hope to have the hot tub up and running this winter! Just this week we replaced a TON of lightbulbs so everything is looking bright & shiny again! Some day I will count how many lightbulbs are in Second Star!!

    We have also hired a new lawn care team and are loving the results of his hard work!

    Your wedding was magical and I hope you have many great memories for years to come! We can't wait to see you again!!
